The manager Brian Slack is king multi tasker. There was a mistake with the trailer we reserved but it was quickly resolved. The business was clean and organized. The staff was professional and courteous while being quick and thorough.

If you get to the front desk and get Brian, don't get offended if it feels like he's being short with you. He doesn't do small talk, it's not his style. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your rental he'll help you out, no problem... just keep it about that and nothing else :). Jamont is the one who works with the actual rentals, good worker. Same thing, if you have any questions or you're not sure how to hook up your trailer etc. just ask, he's happy to help.

I had a hitch installed here in July of this year by John the manager. I remember as he was checking me in he said he had never installed a hitch on my type of vehicle before. That didn't necessarily raise any red flags because U-Haul is supposed to be known for hitches and call me crazy but I assumed some measuring device would be used. It apparently was not and now I have a crooked hitch installation. This was not something that I noticed until I attached the bike rack and could visibly see it was crooked. In addition it was installed too close to my vehicle meaning I can't use the rack closest to my vehicle without zip tying my pedals or else they will strike and damage my vehicle. I did take my vehicle to another U-Haul location in North Las Vegas where the tech agreed it's crooked and said he could fix it. At that time I contacted U-Haul customer service via Twitter and they requested that I at least go back to the install location so John could assess it. I had no problem doing that but my busy schedule prevented me from getting there until this past weekend. Upon arriving I learned John had been transferred but the three employees present all took a look at my vehicle and could see it was crooked and installed too close just walking up to the vehicle. I'm still dealing with U-Haul customer service since this installation but a resolution has not been reached yet. On my end I can't say I would recommend them for a hitch install nor at this point would I use them for any future business because so far I have a product I can't fully use and I'm still wasting time trying to get the situation rectified.

I went to the Fremont location today at 4:50pm on 12/4/23 to get into my unit. I went inside to get the key and the new girl, a white woman with messy hair, glasses, and a gray hoodie and a heavyset black girl were working. I told the white lady who was "helping" me that I needed to get into my unit and had my ID ready and she asks "is it up to date?" I responded "yes" not sure why she's asking me. Then she asks me "do you not have the key?" So I had to tell the employee how it works when someone wants to get into their unit and the big black lady isn't even helping her and telling her how it works and also giving dirty looks to me. Both of these women were very unprofessional. Whoever is training her is doing a very poor job. The customer should not have to explain to the employee how things work at a place of business. I didn't even get into my unit because the dumb broads were unhelpful. I just ended up leaving. Train your people right! I would also like to mention that most of the time when I go there they have long moving trucks parked in front of my unit which makes it hard to get into.

Wow, I loved working with Shelly at the front desk. She was so kind, considerate, and extremely helpful. She is an example of excellent customer service. Some companies preach it, and once in a while, a company like Uhaul delivers it, by having employees like Shelly on board. Dave Cooper was very nice too. Thank you for the great price and easy in and out experience.

there was three employees in total. One girl who was on the phone the whole time, and when she was helping us, she could barely answer any of my questions and was very short with me. Another guy who was mainly outside, he also couldn't answer a single one of my questions. The third, I believe was a manager that I spoke to, he was extremely rude and talk down to me like I was an idiot. I asked him if I would get reimbursed for the gas I put in the tank since I was given it on almost empty. He told me to check my contract multiple times, I asked him which contract because I had two different ones email to me, and he just kept repeating to check my contract. He was talking down to me the whole entire time, and it was extremely disrespectful towards me, when all I had was normal questions. i've gone here before, and last time I went here, someone quit on the spot. I should not have came back, and I regret coming back. The whole point of an online pick up is so I don't have to talk to anybody, it's been that way at other locations. I would never recommend this location.

My husband made a reservation for Saturday and when we arrived (after driving EIGHT hrs to the location) A uhaul employee called my husband saying that there was no reservation available and that they had nothing available within 300 miles. When we told her we were traveling from out of state, she said you guys can stay the week and we'll see if something becomes available. Like what? Thank GOD my husband didn't give up and we were able to get a trailer from someone else who had a trailer available. I had a friend who worked at dispatch, and she said they can see where all the trailers are located so I'm not sure how she couldn't find us one.

I'm from California and was traveling just for the day to Las Vegas to pick up a car. I had a reservation on Saturday for a Auto Transport, I had arrived to Las Vegas and was on my way to pick up the Auto Transport when I was notified by Andrea that there was no Auto Transport available. I didn't understand how i was given a reservation if they didn't have an Auto Transport available for that day. I drove 8 hours to get there and my reservation was not available to be fulfilled. My reservation # 82106969 Andrea said she didn't know how I was given a reservation. Andrea also told me she looked over a 300 mile range for an Auto Transport and couldn't locate one. She did offer me a $50 credit but I was not content with the offer to say the least. This was a really terrible experience for me and my family. So I reached out to multiple U-Hauls in the area and they all told me the same thing, there was no trailers available within 300 miles. So I reached out to a self storage and they SAVED ME! I couldn't believe such a huge Companny couldn't help me out, and a little self storage Companny was able to in a heart beat All in all Really bad experience with U-Haul and I highly recommend going somewhere else.

Never come here! The customer service is horrible and ridiculous. I rented a storage here a day before, because U-Haul said I had to rent it a day before to move my stuff right away the next day. So I did that, but when I arrived there an hour before their closing time. They wouldn't even give me 10minutes to unload some stuff! And they wasted 40minutes of my time telling me that they can't give us time to unload, but I can do it the next day. Does that even make sense? I arrived at 6pm but they wasted my time until 6:40-6:50pm. The front desk woman kept sighing right in front me and the manager Brian Slack, has terrible customer service skills. He only keeps saying what he wants to say and won't even listen to me. In the end, I had to rent a storage at Public Storage. I never recommend this place, some might say this place is great, but they're judging people by your race! To all Asian people, don't go there!

The worst I've ever dealt with - customer service was great when I picked the truck up at 3:25p then took and dropped the keys at the counter at 2:30p the next day - got receipt emailed to me and they charged me for TWO FULL days rental and marked that the gas tank wasnt full which is completely inaccurate as I topped it off less then a block from where I had to return it. Two days??? When I didnt even have the truck for 24 hours? Thats just crazy. Will NEVER deal with this location again and will be disputing my over payment to the fullest with my bank immediately. TERRIBLE and cheaters.

How exactly does one review a U-Haul Moving & Storage facility? Like dis. After a weekend trek across three states, I had selected this spot to return my U-haul and dolly. The location was super easy to find through the app and thank God Yelp links the directions to your maps. I mean, I just moved here! The driveway is easy to get to and the return area is even easier to find. I made sure to fill up the gas tank above where I received it (you're welcome U-haul) and wiped out the melted peanut butter pie that had melted on the floor. Traveling note to self: a cold dessert does not travel well from Flagstaff, AZ to Las Vegas, NV. The return was easy and the owner was super friendly. Maybe next time this will be my pickup spot if I need to rent a truck to move things about town.

Went to this location to rent a truck. As soon as I got off the car I was asked if I had made a reservation online by a guy that was man-ding the propane station and I said no. He proceeded to tell me they had no more trucks available. I saw a few trucks in the back but didn't question him. I left and tried online. Their location popped up with available trucks. I booked one and went back. When I got there I noticed the store was locked and went to the back where three guys were checking in a truck. No one acknowledged me being there and just proceeded to check out this other truck. I finally stepped up and said excuse me I'm here to pick up a truck I got online and the guy just looked at me annoyed and said I'll be right with you. After that another truck showed up to be dropped off and he started taking care of that other truck and made me wait even more. There's three guys working and no one can break away to help me? And I have to wait outside where it's at least 105 degrees. Horrible service!

Needed 2 UBoxes for a long distance trip to Memphis Tennessee. The office was pretty busy but I noticed how well the staff multitasked and remained kind calm and patient the entire time. This set the atmosphere and helped the customers to follow suit. The guy at the desk was very knowledgeable and experienced. Would recommend this place to others!

Left my phone in the truck and Steve took I aside for me and kept it safe and sound until I could arrive. I recommend this place for your moving needs.

I would like to thank the assistant moving center manager Mr Ryan Griggs and the general manager Mr. John Cherne of 2030 E Fremont Street Uhaul for making my move on Labor Day 2016 a less stressful one. I was greeted upon arrival by Mr Ryan Griggs. He had my 15 foot Uhaul Truck waiting for me. He was very professional almost military like that reminded me of my earlier military days. Very professional at every step in the moving process. I would also like to thank the General Manager, Mr. John Cherne for making sure that I had an easy checkout upon returning the rental truck. He even had a cool conversation with me and wanted to be sure that the move went smoothly. I would highly recommend the 2030 East Fremont U-haul location for your next move! Thank you U-Haul team for your awesome service. I will be back for my future moving services.

My entire U-Box experience has been poor from start to finish. First, the location where I picked up the box (Fremont St., Las Vegas) did not have it ready on time. Then when it came time for me to have my box delivered to my new home, turns out you have to give them two weeks' notice for a delivery within the same state, which they don't tell you. It was incredibly frustrating not being able to schedule an exact delivery date so I could plan my move and do things like reserve moving help. Not only that, but U-Haul advertises U-boxes are "delivered to your door" but that's false. The box is shipped to the nearest U-Haul facility and you have to go there and tow the box to your house yourself, which costs extra money to rent a truck if you need one and is very misleading from the service advertised. The icing on the cake of my experience is at the second U-Haul facility where I picked up my box (Carson City), they loaded it onto the trailer backwards. This means that the flap on the cover that's supposed to align with the box door was actually on the opposite side so we had to shimmy the whole cover off, and we couldn't open the box door all the way because the trailer was in the way. Truly next-level incompetence from start to finish. I will be telling all my friends not to use U-Box for their storage and moving needs.

I just went to this store to buy moving supplies for an elderly client I am helping and the general manager provided the worse customer service to me! He is very rude and is obviously power hungry based on his title! Beware!!!! He for sure needs better training on dealing with customers!!

This location is awesome! The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, especially Ryan. They installed a trailer hitch for me and set me up with a trailer for moving halfway across the country. The store is always clean and orderly, which speaks volumes for how much one cares about their business. Would definitely recommend this store; Excellent service!

I took about 2 months before I wrote this review because I wanted to make sure i felt the same way and I do. Extremely poor customer service. They were nice, they just have zero interest in correcting their mistake which is easy to do. I will explain. I ordered a trailer hitch install with a 2" insert. I was very specific on the size as I already bought the cargo rack I wanted to use with it. No problem they said. They printed up the paperwork and they pointed out the 2" requirement on the paperwork that I signed. Great. Install day comes and I notice that 2" insert is blatantly not a 2" insert. They gladly showed me the 2" ball they had in my trunk they claimed I signed for. So stop the install, explain my concern and they tell me they don't think that they make a 2" insert for a compact car but they will check ond get back to me. They never got back to me so I had to go in person in the morning to straighten things out. I think the installers name was Gabriel(?) and the first time I came down he was busy b.s.ing with a custoemr about nonchalant stuff comfy in his chair. No worries. I get it. I leave as I don't live to far and I need to start my day. I come back a few days later to have them put in a smaller insert as that is all they make for my car as I find out and I will just get a different gargo rack that fits. Gabriel(?) had everything he needed to do the install, including plenty of time since noone else was there and he was simply enjoying the heat of the office ( I work outside, I get it). Since most of the work was done, probably about 5 minutes average. I simple fix... I thought I could get a bigger insert, they even told me I could(although they were referring to the 2" ball)... I can't... so lets just finish what we started. Gabriel(?) was unwilling to budge and refunded only about a 1/3 of what I already paid. OK. Why not refund anything and get off your back side and "work" and put a total solution on this experience and simply be done? I even explained that this very review you are reading right now would be placed, and not in Uhauls favor to which he nonchalantly replied- "Do what you need to do." Then he went back to doing nothing. I wish I read some of the other more recent reviews before I went there

For some reason Ryan(or his name is Josh lol) has helped us both tines and was nothing but rude and nasty to my family and I. I'm guessing he's racist, I'm black and my family is white. I'll never come to this location again he completely ruined my moving experience and I have family who works for uhaul and he still treated us like shit. That's how I remembered him from last year!

The staff here are great! We just returned a truck today, and the guy at the counter said there would be a $100 fee for any bodies in the trailer. I said, "Actually, there are two bodies." He said, "Excuse me ?" I said, "Well, you know, sometimes you have to take out the witnesses too. " Both he and the girl who inspected the truck were very polite and understanding about the whole thing, and even waived the crime scene cleanup fee. Thanks, U-Haul!

I recently rented a U-haul from this location. My issue with this store seemed apparent when they did not answer any of my calls while I had the rental. I had originally told them a time frame on the amount of hours I would need the rental, and I made sure that the hours was just for their system to know but I would be charged by the day. The person told me to call them to let them know if I needed more time. When I tried calling them they never answered, so I continued my move. I returned it the same night, and used the website to complete the return during after hours. It was the same day, but I was charged for 2 days. The charge came through first thing in the morning, even though I checked a box on the web form that said "I do not agree with these charges". I tried calling them the next day, and still no answer. The reason for a contract is to agree to a price, however, they charge what they want to and do not bother even returning an email or answering a phone. Their customer service is non existent and I do not believe I will ever get this matter resolved.
