So, I was so looking forward to eating here as I'd heard such good things. Sadly, my experience was not a good one at all. I ordered cauliflower and manchego croquettes ( they were more like little balls) which were ok, but the overly sweet sauce really spoiled it. The balance of flavours were all wrong in my opinion. Anyhow, I then had the braised beef cheeks (one of my favourite things to eat!), but again, they disappointed 😞. There were only 3 small pieces of meat in the dish, and I could only eat 2 of them. The third piece was kinda 'tough', not pleasant to eat, so I left it on my plate. The sauce was rather 'tangy', a bit on the acidic side. I was expecting a more deep, rich sauce which it certainly was not. Then again, it's only my personal expectation that it didn't live up to. The manager/ head/ front of house guy, was really lovely. He appolgised for the tough cheek, and consequently removed it from my bill. Very good customer service, and it was the right thing to do to be honest. Would I go again? Probably not. It's a real shame, and I really mean that, but I'm not confident I'd be impressed enough by the food they serve. The wine is decent though, and not overpriced 👍
