Excellent non hotel choice in Ephraim! Our family of 4 with older kids was quite comfortable. Only couple of improvements would be king size bed for master and loft bed/bath was quite a bit warmer. Have to keep main level quite cold for upper room to be at all comfortable. ||Enjoyed being within walking distance to morning coffee at Leroy’s and top notch breakfast burritos at Good Eggs all outdoor rustic seating!

We stayed for 3 nights and had a great experience! The location is perfect - walking distance to restaurants, shops and the beach, but still very quiet and peaceful. Our room had a jacuzzi and a fireplace, which made it extra cozy. There was also an outdoor patio and a fully equipped kitchen with an oven, stove, and everything you’d need if you feel like cooking. Most importantly, we really appreciated how clean and comfortable everything was. Would definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful time at Eagle Harbor Inn. Beautiful resort area with clean accommodations. The staff was friendly and helpful. Beds were comfortable. Bathrooms were spacious and clean. We were there with a large group of family members and there was an area outside where we were all able to sit with tables and umbrellas. Beach within walking distance. Alot of restaurants and shopping within a short drive. I forgot some items at the hotel and they were very nice to ship them back to me. One thing to be aware of: we were in a suite. The upstairs is accessible through a spiral staircase so if you have mobility issues be aware of that. Also, the TV for the main living space is shared with the main bedroom. There is a cabinet and it can be aimed at either the living room or main bedroom. Overall very nice stay.

My wife and I loved our stay at Eagle Harbor Inn. The accommodations were perfect and plenty of room in the suite we stayed in (the hollyhock house). It was two floors and lots of sunlight with a skylight above, and the jacuzzi was a pleasant addition. The grounds of the property were well kept and tidy. Also the location is perfect and right in the heart of Ephraim and Door County. Lots of charming shops and very close to the water. Overall, we would stay there again and the owners have very good attention to detail!

Nice place. Soft beds. Our roon had a great fireplace, nice little kitchen area, secluded porch and plenty of room to move around. There was no service for 3 nights stay, this the 3 star rating for service.

Google
We stayed in Hilda in the main building. The room was so tiny that we couldn’t fully open our carry-on suitcases, and the only place to hang clothes was a small, smelly wood cabinet. The water pressure was a trickle, there were only two lamps that barely shone any light and no overhead lights, the bed was not comfortable. Also, only tiny mirror in the room and gross old carpeting. The main building also smelled of sewage. I am not sure if we were supposed to request housecleaning, but no one came. There was an envelope to leave a tip for them, though. Our check-in was incredibly slow and the woman was on the rude side. Would not recommend staying here, it’s going downhill quickly and is extremely dated.

The Eagle Harbor Inn is a lovely spot to enjoy your visit to Ephraim and Door County. However, you should be aware that when booking through their website you may not get the room you had selected. It happened that we selected a specific room yet when we arrived at the inn we were given another room in which to stay. It was a very nice room but not at all what we expected. Fortunately they do not charge differently for rooms in the actual inn but we were certainly disappointed. And unfortunately they didn’t/wouldn’t change our space for another option that was more expensive. Had they offered another space to us with some kind of financial consideration we’d have been much happier with their service and the accommodation.

If you want to stay in the middle of the action go somewhere else. If you want a quiet little get away nearby, check this out. ||Our suite has a great historic feel to it. Like staying at grandmas without the annoying relatives looking over your shoulder. ||This is a quiet, isolated property with ample parking and great places just to sit outside and enjoy the ambiance. ||We will be back.

Yelp
We had such a wonderful stay at the Eagle Harbor Inn. It is a peaceful setting across the street from the water, extremely kid friendly, and the rooms are well appointed. Our one room suite featured a small kitchen and living room space, and well decorated bathroom and bedroom. The property has an indoor pool, kids playscape, and afternoon snack time in the main welcome center. The landscaping and shaded setting of the property made for a peaceful oasis. All of the staff that we encountered were also very friendly. I enjoyed that this property is walking distance to great coffee, breakfast and fabulous pierogies next door. Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely choose this location again. This town is also with a 10 minute drive to several other fun villages in door county.

Yelp
Wonderful relaxing stay at Eagle Harbor. Stayed here over 15 years ago when there was only the Inn. Stayed in one of their suites. Many upgraded amenities. Very friendly staff and owner. Great location close to the bay. Will definitely stay again. Cannot go wrong with this one.

Yelp
Clean, comfortable, and a great value for the money, this little gem is the perfect Door county retreat for families or friends looking to get away. Family owned and run, the staff were friendly and helpful.

Raul D.

Yelp
This is close to everything literally across the street from the beach ( water usually pretty cold) and amazingly rooms are frequently available when others are not. It's clean and safe and all rooms are basically apartments! We've stayed twice, tons of space but on hot days the loft rooms can get warm but nothing a $20 fan won't fix. The only thing we don't like is the indoor pool closes @5! Except on weekends. Bizarre. Not cheap but you get what you're paying for here.

Yelp
Had a good stay at Eagle Harbor Inn this past weekend. Staying in the main inn the room was nice. Cute place, great hospitality and a nice breakfast. Couple tips? Using the thermostat we couldn't get the heat down a bit. See if you can figure it out. And hot water takes a loooong time to get to the shower and the sink. Lastly, bring your own pillows. The room pillows are stones. We stayed in "Josie".

Yelp
Hubby and I have come to Door County quite a few times annually. This was our first time here and we really enjoyed it. The amenities, comfort, lighting, services, location, walk ability, proximity to restaurants - everything was great!

Yelp
What a lovely place. Our stay started with a lovely person who checked us in. The accommodations were spacious and clean and I felt spoiled. We did the wine package and had the most beautiful cheese plate waiting for us upon arrival. The wine package came with wine tastings at local wineries. Such a fun way to spend an afternoon. We will be back!

Yelp
Beautiful property! Great location! Nice suite! I'm staying here on business and they put me in room 3 of the White Birch building. It's a 1 bedroom suite with a kitchen and whirlpool jacuzzi. The bedroom itself is beautiful and the bed is comfortable. There's a fireplace at the foot of the bed as well. The bathroom is, well, a functioning bathroom! Nothing amazing. Breakfast is so-so. No eggs, bacon, sausage, or bagels. Was not impressed with the selection at breakfast. It was a buffet style, and they had charcuterie meats and cheeses with some granola, fruit, and pastries. If you want a hearty breakfast, you'll need to go elsewhere. Coffee was okay, but no milk or creamer options available at the coffee bar. My biggest concern was getting over the fact that when you stay in a suite with a kitchen you don't have the breakfast buffet included and you have to order a $20 breakfast basket that they will bring to your room. I would expect from any bed and breakfast, no matter which room you're in, that you have your breakfast included with your rate. I understand that since I have a kitchen I can prepare my own meal, but if I'm not going to the store to stock up on ingredients this becomes problematic for me. So if you're thinking of staying in a suite with a kitchen, just be aware of that!

Yelp
I had really high hopes for this inn, but unfortunately they didn't impress. We came here for the whirlpool suite - but, no one wants a whirlpool tub with cold water and unfortunately that's all we have after two people have showered. We would call maintenance - but the front desk closes at 9pm. We are paying 276 per night and the room doesn't even come with shampoo and conditioner (only a shampoo/conditioner combo which we all know is ineffective). There are no q-tips which should be a basic amenity at any hotel. We walked to the "main inn" this morning for coffee at 11 a.m and were told that we were too late, they were all out (breakfast is included in your stay if you stay in the inn, but if you pay MORE to stay in a whirlpool suite then you also have to pay additional pricing for breakfast). Bottom line: there are a lot of wonderful places to stay in door county, but this one is just simply not worth the money.

Jacquelyn G.

Yelp
Absolute little gem. Jim at the front desk was professional and covered all the need to know things in a timely manner. Cedar house was nestled away quietly in the back. Even with the two kids in tow it was a nice relaxing few days.

Yelp
This year, my family (husband and grown, and almost grown daughters) all decided not to exchange gifts for Christmas, but rather go on a "family mini-vacation weekend". WE COULD NOT OF MADE A BETTER DECISION!! We stayed at the Eagle Harbor Inn (the "Sumac" Cottage) and were very pleased. The two-bedroom suite was clean, comfy and PERFECT in size, for the five of us! The loft bedroom for the girls was perfect, it had a queen bed and a twin in the "alcove", very cozy. Not to mention their OWN bathroom, much needed with three daughters! Our bedroom was very comfy with the double faced fireplace, queen bed with great linens, and jacuzzi (which the girls all used in their bathing suits). The kitchenette was great for late-night snacks during movie watching, drinks, and morning mini-breakfasts. My only complainant was...that we could not take advantage of the "breakfast basket" option usually offered, due to the holiday short staff. (oh well, next time!) The Inn/room was a welcome sight after the drive up from Chicago through VERY thick, nighttime fog! On Sunday, after brunch, we headed to Fish Creek (the next town over), to watch the Bears/Packers game (dressed in our blue & orange Bears regalia) at the "Bayside Tavern". "Bill" the bartender was great, and played along with Bear/Packer rivalry in good fun! The next day we took advantage of the perfect snowfall. We rented tubes from "Nor-Door Sport and Cycle" (the employee named "Stretch" could not have been nicer) and headed for "Hill #17" at the Peninsula Sate Park. Very fun! We then returned back to the inn lobby and enjoyed the afternoon home-baked goodies and warm apple cider. Lynn, the weekend hostess was so gracious and helpful answering all our questions and to giving suggestions as to what would be open for the Christmas weekend. On Christmas Eve, we took an awesome carriage ride from "Mayberry Carriages". John, our carriage driver/guide was entertaining and gave us tips, as to where the "locals" go and where to avoid (tourist-trap wise). It was truly a "Norman Rockwell Christmas" scene. We headed home Christmas late morning. It was an awesomely perfect holiday! This was our second time in Door County and we are definitely hooked!! WE WILL BE BACK!!

Yelp
This place is amazing! If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would. We stayed in Hawthorne house in a suite, which was incredibly reasonably priced especially for the area. The room was so cozy and comfortable, had everything in it you might need, the bed was so comfortable, and the shower was amazing. The hotel itself is set up so nicely, it's so quiet, and it's centrally located to pretty much anything you want to do in Door County. There are plenty of places to eat nearby as well.

Yelp
Our stay at Eagle Harbor was great. Very friendly staff, adorable and comfortable room, and an excellent breakfast. Our compliments to the staff and chef!

Yelp
My husband and I stayed here on our trip for our 2 year anniversary. Room: We stayed at the Inn in the Serena Room. It was a very nice room, but expensive. I would probably pick one of the smaller rooms next time because the extras in this room were probably not worth the extra money. My husband made the comment that he felt like he was staying in his grandmothers' house. The room also had a really funky smell. Good thing I brought a candle to get that smell out of the room. The nice things about this room were the balcony; It's the only room with a balcony. The whirlpool hot tub was wonderful. The fireplace was a nice touch and I loved the canopy bed with the light fabric draping over - so beautiful. There wasn't much lighting in this room - it was pretty terrible. A small light by two chairs and a few by the bed but at night, it was really difficult to see if you were searching through your luggage or something. Breakfast: If you stay at the Inn, your breakfast is included. If you stay in one of the little "houses" on the property, your breakfast is not included since you have a kitchenette available to you. Breakfast included cold cereal including granola and corn flakes, fresh fruit, coffee, juice, homemade cake of the day and a homemade hot entree. When we were there the hot entree was cherry french toast, cheese and bacon egg souffle, cinnamon apple french toast but this varies everyday. They also put out lemonade and cookies or something sweet in the afternoon. Everything was delicious. I was concerned at first that the breakfast would be the typical continental breakfast but my husband can EAT and is was enough to satisfy his hunger. Grounds: The place is well maintained with a lot of flowers and a beautiful patio for the summertime. There is also a small playground for the kids which is a nice touch. They also have out some games you can play on the grass. Location: It's centrally located in Ephraim right by the water. You just have to cross 42 and you are at the water. It's nice to be able to leave your room and walk to get coffee, ice cream or do a little shopping. Great location. Amenities: There is a small indoor pool with a sauna that my husband and I used once. In that same building is a workout room with a treadmill, elliptical and weights. There is a TV in there as well. I never saw anyone else in there. Free wifi was much appreciated considering we got my cell signal practically in the whole town of Ephraim. Staff: Everyone was really friendly and helpful. At one point my husband and I were looking through some menus that they have there for a spot for our anniversary dinner. A woman came by to tell us what she recommends. At breakfast they were there with a smile to fill your coffee cup back up. All in all we would return. It was a pleasant stay, a little pricey but the food was good and the location was great.

Yelp
My wife and I had never been to Door County. My in laws had a gift certificate to this place and they were telling us that they wouldn't have time to make it Door County this year. So they gave us the certificate to use. We booked a room in the Sumac House. Which is the house furthest back. We were in room #2 which faces the woods. We loved it, it was like an apartment, it had a nice big living room, with an apartment size kitchen, a two way fireplace facing both the bedroom and living room. A Whirlpool tub in the bedroom. Overall it was very cozy, Everything was great, the front desk staff was very nice and accommodating. Highlights: + It's in Ephraim, the only dry town in Wisconsin. It's very quiet here and throughout the village. +Your literally in the middle of all Door County has to offer. +There is a Sauna, and an indoor pool with workout center in commons house. +Free treats and juice from 3-5 pm daily. +Wi-fi-it is a wonderful connection with great speed. I'm assuming every house has its own router as the signal was fantastic! +One guest mentioned no tv, we had a very nice flat screen tv, with a dvd player in our room. +The soaps in the room are locally made and smell fantastic, both the body wash and shampoo! Any room for improvement? -Well a dvd library at the main house would be nice, it would make a big difference as cable television isn't that great these days. -Place more towels in room -Alter the location of the tv, between the living room and bedroom is rather odd. -Maybe more literature about Door County? These are all small things. Overall a great trip, I did find out that my wife isn't a big fan of the crowds and the whole nature theme though.... I will be back someday.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I stayed at Eagle Harbor Inn for the first time for his birthday. We were both happy with our stay, although I thought the bed could have been a bit more comfortable. We ended up booking a room in the first house as you pull in and breakfast was not included with our stay. It was a 2 bedroom room (plus 2 bathrooms) with a spiral staircase, which was cute and quaint. The stereo system was nice and we had a whirlpool in our room along with a deck that overlooked the yard. We enjoyed our stay, our only complaints were the bed and the fact that housekeeping knocking on your door at 9am seemed to be a bit early for our taste when we were trying to have a nice weekend getaway....

Yelp
Absolutely loved our stay at Eagle Harbor! Looking for a one night stay in a bed and breakfast in Door County, even in November took some searching. Most places require a 2 night stay. Plus, the prices were very affordable for the amenities. Down the road in Fish Creek or Egg Harbor, both 10-15 min drives away from Eagle Harbor, are way pricier! We were very happy with the room - everything was clean and tidy - the whirlpool was large enough for two, the fire place was lovely, and the set up was great. The 1 bedroom whirlpool suite had a kitchenette, complete with a stove which would be really useful if we were staying for more than on night. Plus, a larger-end mini fridge! Bring your own bubble bath, and other than that - you're set for a romantic, comfortable, and easy stay! Would return, absolutely! Wonderful place!

Yelp
The rooms are comfortable, but the bed in our room was the worst I have ever slept on. I purchased the winter get away package and we were assigned a room in the White Burch house. The location of the house was excellent. We entered to Champagne and chocolates as advertised....the Champagne consisted of a mini bottle of Korbel. We started checking out the room and guess what....no flat screen TV.... This may not matter to some folks, but we are in the habit of winding down our day snuggled in and catching up on events. in this day and age...I don't think a flat screen is too much to ask. Then came the bed....now beds are highly subjective as far as comfort, and I thought it was just me...but after tossing and turning, we both had the same conclusion..the bed was terrible! the next morning our breakfast basket arrived. great fruit, amazing coffee cake, granola and some milk.....I would have liked some protein in the basket as well for the cost of the package. update...they have mattress toppers and I was sent a card from the Owners along with a small discount on our next stay.

Yelp
This place is AMAZING! My husband likes to play game that involves finding things wrong with a place we stay. We were here 3 days and could find nothing wrong. It was perfect. Clean, quaint, and the staff was wonderful. Christine, at the desk, was so helpful with extra suggestions to do when it rained. She even wrote things on a list based on each town in the area. Every person there was a delight to speak with. We did the Bed and Breakfast room. The breakfasts were the kind of meals you wish you could recreate, and made you want to take some home. The room was exactly what we would expect from a great hotel. This place; every touch was done with the guest in mind. We will be back! Thanks for a great stay.

Yelp
My husband and I just got back from our stay at Eagle Harbor Inn. We had originally planned to travel south to visit family, but that got canceled so we decided to take a trip up north instead. First of all, I've always been a fan of Door County but had never been there in the winter. If you've never been, go! Winter wonderland. There's something so romantic about it all .. Anyhoo ... The staff was great. Very nice and welcoming. We stayed at the Holly Hock house. and it was just perfect. I had planned to make dinner and they had a tiny little kitchenette area with what I would need available. What I will say is that the whirlpool tub was dirty .. and while the bed wasn't uncomfortable, the comforter is made of a material that slides easily .. so I found myself waking up at night reaching down to cover myself back up. Those would be the two cons - but they aren't deal breakers .. next time bring some thing to wipe the whirlpool down with and your own comforter, it's not that serious. All in all, I would recommend this place and I'd definitely stay there again!

Yelp
My wife and I have been to Eagle Harbor twice, once in summer and once in winter. Both times we have had wonderful experiences there. The folks who run the inn are very friendly and glad to answer any questions about things to do in Door County. The suites are comfortable and spacious. The breakfasts are very tasty and worth getting out of bed for. It is centrally located in Ephraim, so that you never have too long a drive to get anywhere. We're going up again soon, and I can't wait. Definitely a real gem in the middle of D.C.

Yelp
Perfect accommodations for a family. Our's had a separate bedroom and 1 1\2 baths. Clean and comfortable with all the ambiance you'd expect from a Door Co. inn. Our bedroom even included its own whirlpool tub! Landscaping is beautiful. Plenty of lawn space to play frisbee. Front desk was very hospitable and gave us some great recommendations for local dining. Only downside is that there isn't an outdoor pool, only indoor.

Chelsie G.

Yelp
Andrea and the entire team at Eagle Harbor Inn really, truly made our wedding day so perfectly special. I knew immediately when we first viewed EHI as a potential wedding venue that it was exactly what I wanted and envisioned. My husband and I really wanted to make an experience out of our wedding weekend with all of our guests. It was so wonderful to have our wedding guests staying in various cottages on-site for the weekend. Our guests were able to experience a true Door County trip while still being close to friends and family throughout the weekend. We wanted a smaller wedding which ended up including about 50 guests. We also really wanted a food truck and it was so great that EHI was so accommodating and open to trying new experiences! Andrea did a great job at staying in touch with me throughout the wedding planning process and helping day-of to ensure everything was in place. Our garden ceremony and indoor reception was perfect and I cannot thank Eagle Harbor Inn enough for making our wedding dreams come true! I love that we have a special place to visit with such wonderful memories whenever we travel to Door County. Thank you and see you soon!!!

Yelp
Lovely place, excellent food, (french toast were out of this world good!), friendly staff, rooms are not huge but clean and nicely decorated. Can't wait to go back again

Yelp
We had our wedding here this weekend (our second time staying here). Seriously our favorite place to stay in door county! It's such a treat. Beautiful place, super quiet, friendly staff. I cannot thank Mary (the manager) for all she did in helping make our day magical. All of our guests couldn't stop raving about how much they loved the inn. We are planning another trip up around New Years.

Yelp
Great staff, beautiful suite, tranquil, fun!

Cassie B.

Yelp
Great location, helpful staff. I appreciate that they accepted children to their inn as I know quite a few do not. I loved being able to walk to shops, beach and food. Ephriam is such a cute town! Loved being close to the other towns too and the Pennisula State Park which was lovely. My husband enjoyed the golf course there too. The Inn had plenty of room for our family of four. Kids loved sleeping upstairs in the loft. It was a little warm in the room but we were also there when the temps were over 90 so that's to be expected. Kids also loved the indoor pool. I'd definetely consider staying again.

Yelp
I miss The Waterbury Inn. The place I am at now - Eagle Harbor Inn - has a fireplace that doesn't work, a whirlpool that does not work and that does not have any hot water and a shower that doesn't have hot water as well. The stove in my room doesn't work properly. What is the kicker? It looks like I stepped into 1987, the owners are beyond snobs and extremely nosy and in my business. I was not there for five minutes before I started getting interrogated about my travels and that it was "odd" that I was here in the Winter. If it is odd then why is your hotel open? This place is weird! Do you want the extra kicker? The literature that they give you when you arrive is filled with false policies that no longer applies to the place anymore. Shouldn't they think about updating the literature they hand out? Confusing and alienating your patrons when they are following the guidelines that are written down is bad business. Not changing the literature that you are handing out to patrons is terrible policy. This is not a good scene for me. I cannot get any work done and they are obviously monitoring and tampering with the computers that are logging into their WiFi network by guests based on what my diagnostics are telling me on my terminal. Also, the fridge in my room is at the lowest setting and it is freezing all of my food. What the heck? Save me Waterbury! I need some down to earth love. This place dissed other local businesses too in Ephraim and the conversation was beyond awkward and uncomfortable. They tried to tell me how much better they were than Waterbury over the phone. You have a whirlpool in the room? Great! Do I get to stare at it for two weeks wondering what it might be like to use it? You have a fire place in the room? Woo hoo! Wouldn't it be awesome if it worked? I'll just stare at it. An oven and stove? You don't say! Wait a minute...I'll just stare at that as well. Wait a minute? I get to listen to someone with their nose up in the air try to interrogate me about why I am here and how odd it is that I am in Ephraim for two weeks? You are not better than the staff or the rooms at Waterbury. You are doing exactly what is written in the bible about Ephraim and the tyrants that poisoned the well. Do you know how it turned out for them? Maybe it is odd that you are allowed to operate a business here with the strange vibe you are giving off. I would like to wash my clothing too because I will be here for two weeks. Wait a minute. You cannot wash clothing here? Wait a minute....I get the pleasure of having you snob off and snoot away because I asked about washing clothes on location after you have already insulted me earlier in the day? Wow! Do I get to pay extra for the arrogance? Blech! We paid over one thousand dollars in advance for this treatment. Want a real kick in the butt? They tried to charge me triple for an extended stay as opposed to Waterbury. Watchoo Talking About Willis? Snob Fest 1987 staring at an outdated Inn and an extremely rude manager and owner. Time to dip out. Not a good way to spend Lent. Full review pending. Stay tuned. This Eagle has to fly! This village is too small to have snobs like this tearing down other citizens and business owners. IT left a horrible taste in my mouth and the frump factor was through the roof. Not my thing....Betty White might enjoy it.

Yelp
Perfectly wonderful bed and breakfast. We traveled here with our two teenage boys, stayed in Hollyhock House. The accommodations were perfect. Plenty of room with two bathrooms. We never felt as though we were on top of each other. The location is also great. A 5 minute walk to the beach. A 10 minute walk to Wilsons. The staff was very nice, although it was odd that doing the dishes (we had used a couple of glasses) was not part of the housekeeping duties.

Yelp
My husband & I went to Door County for the first time this past weekend, and we had such a great time that we're already planning our next trip. I can't say enough good things about the Eagle Harbor Inn in Ephraim, WI. In an area of blatant tourist traps and an overabundance of cherry, well, everything, the Eagle Harbor Inn really captures the essence of Door County: amazing hospitality and a nice cozy spot to relax & unwind. We stayed in the Hulda room in the inn, which has a queen sized bed, small desk, & private bathroom. The room was fairly standard, actually, we felt like we were staying at someone's house, not at all like a hotel room or anything. The only minor complaint that I have about the room is that the pillows were really hard; next time, I'll probably bring my own. The grounds are very quaint, a forested area lined with several white guest houses. The Inn is situated within walking distance of the town's restaurants & shops, which was nice. We pretty much walked everywhere and took in the beautiful scenery. I have to say that I'd stay there again for the breakfast alone! There was always an assortment of fresh fruit, slightly different every day, orange juice, cherry juice, coffee (that they refill on a pretty constant basis), cereal, granola, yogurt, a hot dish, and a baked dish. The first morning we had cherry stuffed french toast, and I was in love. The second day we had an egg casserole dish with peppers, bacon & bread baked into the top. The staff is very friendly & accommodating, really ready to answer any questions that you might have regarding door county & to share a great story with you when you're standing around. I can't wait to stay here again next year.

Yelp
Everything was good, clean. Staff very nice and helpful. Big rooms, jacuzzi, nothing to complain about. The only thing is -- my daughter and I like to stay at a place that's has some charm and ambience. And we were not expecting to find several individual buildings on the premises. Otherwise, definitely a good choice.

TT I.

Yelp
My fiancee and I recently stayed here an absolutely loved it. We love Door County and even more we love Ephraim. We received a gift certificate from my mom for Christmas and used it in February. The staff could not have been more wonderful. We hope to have the chance to go back!

My husband and I have gone to Eagle Harbon Inn several times and have never been disappointed. We go up in the "off season" when it's quieter. You have the parks, hiking trails, stores, restaurants to yourself. The suites at EHI are always a wonderful place to relax and unwind. In the winter we take books & DVDs, a deck of cards and enjoy sitting by the fire and looking out at the woods. Spa at Sacred Ground is wonderful, too!

Yelp
Extremely disappointed with the quality of accommodations especially since we booked what I was told by staff to be the most expensive room available at the Inn. I booked the Serena room seven days prior to arrival for a much anticipated and long overdue getaway for my husband and myself. Immediately upon entering the room I literally tripped into the room. There is a step down into the room but the only indication given to watch your step is the tiny little sign hanging outside the door which is easy to miss. The room and the carpet were both so dark the step down was difficult to see. The decor is dated and the upholstered furniture is stained and dirty. The room was poorly arranged, filled with furniture and lacking any proper lighting for reading, sorting thru luggage or applying makeup and lacked extra power outlets to charge your phones or computer's.If you so wish to watch the daily news or anything else on the television you must first move furniture out of the way to do so, then crane you neck to watch a dinosaur RCA (apparently upgraded TVs are only available with the more moderately priced rooms at Eagle Harbor.) The bathroom is an even bigger treat. The door does not close, the window treatment allows any one passing by to look up and see into the bathroom (it has a view of the toilet) the towels are old and dingy and the robes are some of the scariest I've"ve seen. They would be doing themselves a huge favor by omitting the robes from "amenities" list. Door County is fabulous, Eagle Harbor Inn -NOT.

Yelp
My husband and I made last minute plans to get away for our 8th anniversary. We called Eagle Harbor to make a special package reservation a few days before our travel and were given an awesome deal, plus an upgrade, for a two night stay. We made what I believed to be a firm reservation, gave them our info, our credit card number, and were told we would receive a confirmation shortly. The next day, we got a call from the inn saying they gave us misinformation and needed to charge us $140 extra because they didn't want to give us the upgrade for free. No other rooms were available at the price that we were quoted so we canceled our reservation, and they did not charge us a cancellation fee since it was their fault. We had left a message for the owners, asking them to honor the reservation as we believed any reputable company would want to have integrity with their quoted price. Several hours later, I received a return phone call indicating that they would not honor their commitment. The general manager explained that the employee making the reservation only had been working there two days and that she made a mistake. Mistakes happen and that is understandable, but I have never had an establishment agree to a price and room, then call you back and ask you to pay for their mistake. Even though everyone I spoke with was very kind and all conversations were cordial, good customer service should also include honoring your commitment and better educating your staff when mistakes are made.

Yelp
We visited Eagle Harbor Inn mid March, a foot of snow on the ground, the Lake and Bay still frozen, and not much touristy things happening. Yet, this Bed and Breakfast was great, when you are in need of a few days of relaxation and quiet. Sitting in front of the "fire" reading a book and watching it snow without having to go anywhere was perfect. A couple of deer visited frequently. Christine was fabulous, being sure all of our needs were met. We had never been to Door County in the "snow". With snow on the ground, the parks were like experiencing them for the first time. Near the water, it was silent, with occasional noises as the ice was breaking up. In Moonlight Bay, where there was a small area of open water, there were 9 migrating swans. The caves at Cave Point were dripping with ice. Yes, winter has been much too long, but we will come back again, to enjoy this quiet, relaxing March experience!
