Google
I ordered a sausage taco and a brisket taco. I could almost not see the coleslaw and both were drenched in BBQ sauce. Wish I would have found the reviews for spending this much money on a simple lunch with no drinks. We will not come back here on future trips out of Austin.

Google
I want to rank this higher, just because it’s Earl Campbell. Unfortunately he’s not a good of a cook as he was a running back. For airport food it’s still acceptable and usually the line here short. Most of the tacos are pretty good they could just have a little more flavor. But this is a nice place to hang out with a lot of see if you’ve got some time, and there’s often live music.

Google
Not bad for airport food. Had the 2 taco combo, one brisket and the other chicken. Pretty good, pricey though at $15 with no drink or sides. Speaking of sides, I ordered a side of refried beans that on the menu, is topped with cotija cheese. I get all the way down to my gate and opened my beans and it’s just beans, no cheese. Since I had time and was craving cotija cheese, I walked back and asked the clerk about it. He acted like it was a huge deal saying “yeah I guess if you want cheese on it I suppose I can do that”. Dude, ITS ON YOUR MENU that way.

We were on a 2+ hour layover in Austin so we had plenty of time to eat. Settled on Earl Campbell's Taco Truck. Prices weren't that outrageous and portion sizes were pretty good. A few of us got the chicken bowl and a few got the brisket tacos. Both had goof flavor. The bowl had a good kick. Seating area was crowded didn't feel chaotic. Better than typical airport food. In fact, there wasn't a McDonald's, KFC or Wendy's in sight.

Google
All airport food is expensive, so I'd say this place is alright. The taco bowl had a scoop of Parmesan cheese on the side...kind of odd.

Unfortunately Earl Campbell's Food Truck is akin to your Airport food... Overpriced, sub-par food... Just grab something to eat due to the limited options available. As far as I know, Earl Campbell's Food Truck is only at the Austin airport. On the plus side it's one of the first Venues to open for breakfast. Of course early bird travelers line up for a quick bit to eat since other options are very limited. BREAKFAST TACOS: ~ EGG & CHEESE WITH BRISKET - 3/5 Stubby little Taco stuffed with Brisket. This actually looked like a mini Burrito or a Burrito cut in thirds. I can't talk ill of the portion, but the Brisket wasn't the best. Not up to Austin Standards, but still edible. ~ SAUSAGE WRAP - 1/5 Seriously skip this one... I only ordered it out of curiosity. They handed me a sausage like in a Tortilla! There was nothing else in it. This looks like something you give a 5 year old. ...annnddd it was $9!!! SMH At least it was edible. Pick another option if it's available to you...

Google
I am surprised to see so many negative reviews here. We had a great experience with both the food and the wait time. This is a fantastic spot for a quick taco on the go. We tried the brisket breakfast tacos, and they were perfect. We’ll definitely return next time we’re in town!

Google
I feel somewhat on the fence about this place. The tacos were decent, nothing to write home about. The chicken was bland but plentiful. The sour cream/sauce on the chicken tacos didn’t really help their flavor. The brisket tacos had more flavor from the bbq sauce but again were nothing to write home about. Both sets of tacos cost 13.50. The pickles were actually our favorite part, we got the ranch pickles and they were a little zesty and briny. Still ridiculous at 3.99 but it’s the airport. I would say this is a good place for quantity but the quality is not phenomenal. A decent place to eat at the airport, especially with some seating options, but in no way stellar.

Yelp
While at the Austin airport, we were looking for a place for dinner and decided to get dinner from Earl Campbells. We got the Cajun Chicken bowl and Brisket Taco. The Cajun Chicken bowl was good. I was able to get a single Brisket Taco, which was good and filling enough for me.

Yelp
Ugh... I should have listened to reviews. The brisket is super salty and I mean by a LOT. I generally like to add salt and this is just not edible. I threw 1.5 tacos away
google avatar

Yelp
light, healthly and very good. I was happy, it was like a mini meal prep. Tasty and well seasoned, great ing.

Michael H.

Yelp
Good attempt to mix up regular BBQ. Got brisket bowl. It was ok. Ingredients were fresh and there was flavor. When I go back, I'll try a different dish. But the menu definitely looks appealing.

Yelp
I came here a couple days ago and really enjoy the food for breakfast. I was definitely disappointed coming back. For lunch I ordered the brisket sandwich. The brisket portion was still very good so that must be their strong suit. The prices were almost 3x what they are in the morning for pretty much the same size portion. The bun was soggy on the bottom and hard on top so it fell apart quickly. The food still came out relatively quick. With the brisket being good I'd definitely come back for breakfast but I wouldn't eat here again for lunch or dinner.

Yelp
Idk what happened lol wow major shrinkage! We always eat here for breakfast before flying out. It used to be the biggest taco I even checked in as such. And we were excited to eat here again BUT what happened? Even in March our taco was stuffed! Look at my pics! This is crazy lol I am waiting to board and just baffled at how much it has shrunk in size! And the price is more at $5.50 so I find it very odd. There is hardly any brisket or sausage in any of our 5 tacos we got this morning. This place used to be stuffed to the max and that's why we keep coming so idk what happened. Kinda upset as I write this because I feel like we got scammed haha so idk if we will be back. Are there new workers in there or something? But please train them back and show them how it used to be because you will definitely lose customers this way. For one I don't think we are coming back. The minute he gave us the bag it looked odd already lol 5 tacos fit in a small to go lunch bag? It used to not. Because they used to stuff it. As I read others reviewers rn I am worried because someone got food poison from here too. That's scary and unheard of. Something needs to change and I hope for the better. Or this cute little food truck will be closing soon the way it's going with tiny tacos that are worth $2 not the crazy $6 they are charging. It was just a bite. And it tasted like something I can make from home sadly. And so misleading because the tacos before and even in some older pics they are stuffed. So I hope people reading this realize what happened here and demand either cheaper prices or for them to go back to their originals size. So disappointed lol Earl Campbell would be so offended seeing what has happened to his tacos

Yelp
I really like stopping here for a meal on my way out of Austin. I've had tacos for lunch and the breakfast bowl a couple times. Definitely a step up from usual airport food. I actually met Earl here one time when he was promoting his bourbon. Did a shot. That was good too. Prices are reasonable and the line moves really fast.

Kim M.

Yelp
I understand that you will always pay more money for food in an airport, but the portion size would've only fed a child. It may have been because they switched servers before they got to me. They pulled a man out of the back room to make the bowls and they were skimpy compared to the woman server. I was lucky to have a protein bar to supplement my taco bowl that only contained about one cup of food. The food was good but I would not order from there again.

Yelp
In 1974 or 75 I was in high school and attended the college all star football game at Soldier Field. After the game Earl threw his elbow pad into the crowd. Guess who caught it? I wore it for two seasons and passed it down to a younger player. What does that mean for his food truck? As an homage I tried his truck. Staff were polite, food came out quick. Just what you want at the airport. I bought the brisket sandwich and it was good. Pulled brisket, pickles, onions and bbq sauce. I snarfed it down and got on the plane. Four stars because it's tough to serve fast food brisket that compares to freshly made.

Yelp
Incredible brisket tacos. Messy so grab a fork and d lots of napkins!! Well worth it but limited seating so plan ahead.

Yelp
If you're looking for a decent breakfast taco while waiting for your flight in the morning hours near gate 19, you'll find an enclosed food court that includes the Saxon pub and Earl's truck. It tries to emulate those food truck destinations in and around Austin. The food truck looks authentic until you realize there's an entire kitchen built behind it. You can grab a drink from one of the drink coolers, and then place your order at the front door of the truck. Service is pretty quick and you won't be facing the tip screen when they run your card. However, one thing to keep in mind, they do not accept cash, card only. I have to admit their egg brisket taco was very filling and one is really all you need. The only downside was they only have these prepacked salsa packets and the salsa in them is not very good. It's actually worse than Jack-in-the-Box taco sauce. So if you can live without the salsa on your taco, then it's definitely worth it.

Yelp
Between Gate 18 and 19. Amazingly delicious food. Friendly and Quick service. Similar but Better than Chipotle. About $14 per bowl. If you want to get to your flight or enjoy a bowl of deliciousness then go for the Cajun Chicken bowl. Half Quinoa and Half brown rice. Avocado included. Avoid Habanero if you don't want it spicy. Enjoy at the tables just next to it. Lots of chargers for laptops, phones, usb-C. Very clean and the guy constantly cleaning tables.

Yelp
Located in the Austin Airport promenade next to the main music stage, this food truck offers a very limited menu of breakfast tacos. For my yelpers who know breakfast tacos, the tacos did not represent the true deliciousness of the city. However, for beginners wanting to indulge gently into the Texas -Mexico culture and cuisine the tacos will suffice. The salsa comes from packages and not homemade. The cashier seemed like he didn't want to be there, but was polite. Overall, an ok place to grab a bite while you wait for your flight or listen to music in the stage while you enjoy a drink.

Latifah R.

Yelp
This was my first time eating here after arriving from a flight. It was really good and something different than all the fried foods, pizza, etc... service was quick, and the containers are decent for packing up and taking it with you. The vibe around the place is nice because it's on an area where there is a live band. If you like elites definitely get it the pickled onions were a nice touch. Wouldn't mind eating here again
google avatar

Yelp
Taco Truck in the airport?!? Who would've thunk it! Now are these tacos expensive? Yes. Are they worth the price? Also yes. I've now tried every breakfast taco here and I've liked all of them. The brisket is by far the best. But for my vegetarian friends, the potato tacos are pretty darn delicious too! The setup is super cute and the seating makes you feel like you're at a fun bar or trendy cafeteria setting. Employees here are always friendly and efficient. I never have to wait long and they move that line fast. Make it a point to have a taco whenever I fly through AUS.

Tom H.

Yelp
Great Brisket Taco ... I avidly smoke brisket, ribs, pork, salmon, chicken and have eaten some of the best brisket on the planet. ... This is one of my all-time favorites !!!! Ate a brisket taco here last year on my way back to FLA. This year, got one upon arrival and another upon departure. Will probably do so every time I fly to Austin ... THAT GOOD !!! ...Luv ya Blue !!!
google avatar

Marcus R.

Yelp
The food was okay nothing bad at all for airport food. The service was great from the employees that were working the day I came to eat here. I ordered the brisket bowl. It soothed the tape worm needs. Ambiance was alright other than you're out in the open with everyone else in the airport.
google avatar

Rachel Chie C.

Yelp
Good tacos - my fave is the brisket - and selections of local beer at the Southwest Concourse of Austin airport. Good spot to grab lunch between flights of when on a major layover (me)
google avatar

Anna L.

Yelp
god the the brisket taco was disgusting...paid 16.00 for 2 tacos salty tacos with chopped meat that i wouldn't even give my dog! dont waste your money here...i'm in austin tx on a 2 hr layoff & cannot find an good bbq places here at the airport! wth! really deserves no star!

Stephanie X.

Yelp
Leaving Austin on Monday. Ordered hot link sandwich. Super saucy chunks of hot links and Cole slaw. Completely ruined by a dry stale oversized bun. $15 sandwich. Maybe try the tacos or quinoa bowl..
google avatar

Damian C.

Yelp
The taco food truck located in the Austin airport's main, and only, concourse has excellent customer service. The young lady greeted me with a smile and friendly service. The brisket tacos I ordered were made to order. Fresh and delicious. I'll be sure to sample something different on my next trip out of Austin. It's nestled neatly in the food court right next to the live music.
google avatar

Rhona G.

Yelp
In between connections managed to pick up some food at Earl Campbell's food truck. Definitely overpriced for potato tacos. Service was friendly. The taco truck definitely stood out in an airport. There are tables in the food court area where the food truck is located. The taco was quite dry and hoped that there would be more veggies than just the root potato. this meal was a quick bite before boarding the plane so it was alright.
google avatar

Bailey E.

Yelp
This is a "food truck" in the airport near the middle of all the food stuff. I got a good portion for a decent price, especially considering we're in an airport, and I felt like it was one of the healthier choices because I got rice, veggies, beans, avocados all in one. They have tacos and bowls to choose from and some sides. There's a bit of a wait time and some of the staff have the sort of typical Austin airport level of patience, so I recommend knowing what you want and responding quickly when they call your name. It's positioned near a group of tables, but it fills up quickly when it's a typical airport busy time of day, and it's noisy. I wish it came with a lid.
google avatar

Michael B.

Yelp
The food truck thing in an airport is a bit gimmick-y but hey it got my attention, so they're doing something right! Stopped in and got a pair of breakfast tacos with egg, cheese, and smoked brisket. To my amazement, they were excellent! The eggs were hot and properly done. The brisket was moist and smoky without being overwhelming, and they didn't try to drench it with BBQ sauce. Overpriced of course - you're at the airport, what do you expect? But this made it tolerable. Thank god for Austin and BBQ. This place scores a 4 out of 5 on the 'CTJ Scale', as noted below. 5 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Jesus good. Would be OK passing away after finishing a plate here. 4 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Mary good. Would be OK having a nosh here with Mother Mary. 3 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Joseph good. Would be OK having a beer here with Jesus' Dad. 2 out of 5 stars: Come-to-the-Apostles good. Meh. Wouldn't have my last supper here. 1 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Nobody good. I wouldn't have my penultimate supper here, either.
google avatar

Jack G.

Yelp
First - friendly, quick service. No complaints there. The contents of this review are tired but necessary. This food truck parked in the airport charges $5.25 for a small potato egg and cheese breakfast taco. $5. Unacceptable even in an inflationary economy, even in an airport. Shame on the owners for charging it, shame on me for paying it. They tasted roughly like what I would cook up for myself on a lazy morning in 5 minutes, serviceable. But lest I lose track of my point, FIVE DOLLARS A BREAKFAST TACO. For some perspective, Taco Deli is a short three minute walk away up the terminal. Is Taco Deli a good taco? Hard to say. They are distinctive at least. But they at least have the decency to charge $3 for a breakfast taco. Ahhhhhhhhhhh

Jena B.

Yelp
Just really bad. Just don't :/ I got the brisket and Cajun chicken taco and I could barely eat it and I know that sounds dramatic but... I promise it's not.
google avatar

Rick S.

Yelp
My go to airport food outlet. I really like the brisket tacos here. Brisket is middlin' between moist and lean and there is salsa available. It's not haute cuisine and probably wouldn't hold its own outside of the concourse (there's stiff competition in Austin) but when you're an airport captive, I find this to be one of the tastier choices available.
google avatar

Jennel N.

Yelp
Adorable place in the airport!! Tasty breakfast tacos! Will always stop in while at AUS
google avatar

James H.

Yelp
Austin, Texas supposed to be one of the bbq spots in the USA. But if you are only passing through because of a two or three hour layover then the next best thing is try to find an Austin bbq joint in the airport. I found this food truck looking place in the Austin Airport. So I ordered the brisket sandwich, just to get a small taste of Austin bbq. I enjoyed it for the most part. I did wish the brisket were in bigger pieces. But I also did wish that the brisket sandwich did with at least one side. But it was just the sandwich.
google avatar

Don L.

Yelp
I use the brisket bowl as my go-to but I recall it being ~$13. Now it's $15.99. Way to go Brandon...
google avatar

Nitin N.

Yelp
I'll definitely revisit this place again as food was okay, met food truck expectations, it's airport so can understand slight high on price. But food was good so it was worth giving a try.
google avatar

Yelp
Needed a snack before boarding our flight home. After browsing the terminal, we decided to give Earl Campbell's Food Truck a go. They are located close to the live music stage so it is a nice location at the Austin International Airport. We decided to share their Brisket Tacos for $10. Price is steep, but we are at an airport so it is to be expected. First thing that we noticed is that these tacos are very oily. Fortunately, the container they came in was able to keep the oil soaking through. The brisket tacos tasted decent. Enough to satisfy our hunger, but nothing special either. Would I have them again the next time I'm at this airport? Maybe, but I'd try something else from their menu instead.

Adam P.

Yelp
Breakfast - Great (small portions for price - expected at airport) Other menu items - rip off for price and portion. Go to Salt Lick and get a good size meal for non airport price. Crazy.
google avatar

Doug M.

Yelp
Is it a bit overpriced? Yes! Is it a bit light on the portions? Yes! It's airport food. You pay for convenience and quality. The truck set up is unique along with the live music stage and bleacher seating. Staff was nice and food was delivered quick. Wish the salsa was homemade instead of restaurant supply crap in a packet!
google avatar

john j.

Yelp
Quick tacos between flights, tried the brisket and the pickles. Good flavor and fast! Great truck as well. Lots of meat on these tacos, just the way I like them!!

Dani B.

Yelp
This brisket bowl is the only reason to get to the airport early! So flavorful, perfect portion size. Typical expensive airport prices but this time the food is actually worth it.
google avatar

Walter S.

Yelp
Eh...having been in Austin for a few days and having Taco Deli each of said day, I was looking for something different (breakfast taco-wise) while in the airport on my departure day and decided to give Earl Campbell's Food Truck's tacos a try. Well I did that...and to be honest, I probably won't do that again. Look, it's not that it was bad by any means-the process is simple enough, hop in line, place your order at the front of the food truck, they have a small cold case with drink options, wait a brief period of time until they call your number, and boom: time to dig in. I really appreciated the fact that the food is made to order and the tacos were fresh and stuffed full of toppings. I ordered two potato, egg, and cheese tacos and a potato bean and cheese. When it comes to the service-it was good, the man taking my order was polite and my food came out quick. My issue was with the tacos themselves-again not bad, but just not great. The potatoes were waaaaay over salted and the packaged hot sauce they provide isn't that good. That being said, my trip here left me satiated and ready for my flight but I don't foresee myself visiting again anytime soon. My visit here was serviceable but with so many options in ABIA I will find myself at other establishments in the future.
google avatar

Megan G.

Yelp
Bomb breakfast tacos! They are open early, and tacos are made to order so I could get them w/o cheese!
google avatar

Dominque H.

Yelp
This review is for the truck located in the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. The food was DELICIOUS! BUT the service is HORRIBLE!!!! They messed up our order and argued with me about it. It took one of the cooks to intervene and correct the other workers since I had just left the window and he knew I was correct. I will never return and until they go through customer service training, you shouldn't either !
google avatar

Joe B.

Yelp
Rude lady at the register rolling her hand telling people to hurry up and order the food. Completely disrespectful, if you don't like dealing with people then get another job. Wouldn't come back here again, sucks because we have been here a few times before and this last ruined it for us. I refuse to spend our money with ungrateful companies.
google avatar

Angel Q.

Yelp
I just flew in from Vegas to Austin. I'm currently here for a layover until the next flight to Miami. I thought it'd be great to get some tacos. I walked all over and decided to eat here since the food truck look was pretty cool. The food was good. I got 2 of the brisket tacos for $10. One thing that wasn't very nice was the lady taking my order.. She looked at me one time (seriously, just once), which was the initial time she saw me walk towards the truck. She asked for my order without looking at me.. I understand if she's busy though, but I was the only one in line. The order was very quick, and I was able to receive the tacos in literally 1/2 minutes, so that was nice. :)

Gina K.

Yelp
I decided to get tacos on my way to baggage so I wouldn't have to cook when I got home. I got my husband two brisket and two chicken for myself. I lost five days of my life for those chicken tacos, severe diarrhea, vomiting, cramps and ended up on antibiotics after five days of food poisoning. Obviously the chicken was infected with bacteria.

Debbie L.

Yelp
Low expectations for airport food and yet the Brisket Taco couldn't meet the low bar. Weird texture to the meat and the sauce was pretty tart, some sad shreds of lettuce/cabbage? Couldn't even tell what it was. I ended up tossing it. On my flight to, I stopped in Houston's Hobby and had a taco from Velvet Taco...that exceeded my expectations, sooo much better!
google avatar

C B.

Yelp
Got a bean egg and cheese breakfast taco. The tortilla is thin, probably from grocery store, but steamed to be passable. It was on the small side for the amt of filling. The eggs are pre-made scrambled. Try the habanero salsa, sweet not spicy
google avatar

Courtney B.

Yelp
Today before wheels up, I came in and had the hotlink bowl with quinoa with barbecue sauce and ranch pickles. The quinoa on the dish was dry and lacked the fluffiness one comes to expect out of a dish such as this. This often occurs after quinoa is made and not allowed to sit. In addition, the peas within the dish were under cooked and hard. The hotlink for the dish was one that can be found in any store (H.E.B. Lucky's, Stater Brothers, Piggly Wiggly, Winco, Publix, etc). 3/5 Conversely, the ranch pickles (6 pickle slices to be exact) were great, however they also came with a hefty price tag of $2.00. Que sera sera, for it is an appropriate price point for an airport. Overall, this is one of the better alternatives to the ATX food airport scene and is worth a try, even if only once.
google avatar

George O.

Yelp
The Food truck gimmick got me.... Does Earl Campbell own this? Or, is a huge multibillion dollar company like, Delaware North running this operation? Who is in charge? I dare the management to go and taste this food. Also, I double dare them to pay for it, and eat the food. See how you feel when you do that..... They add way too much barbecue sauce on the tacos. Barbecue sauce on tacos? The oil and grease from the meat soaks up the tortilla. Customer service is bad. It's not because of the pandemic or COVID-19. This is a leadership issue. Employees do not know how to speak to customers. I returned my food because it tasted so terrible, and the manager looked at me like I was causing a problem... People who were sitting in the bleachers area were complaining about the food as well. Most people are in a rush, and they don't want to get back in the long lines to complain about airport food, so they let it go.... It does not matter which other food place you go to, I'm sure the same giant company owns most of the spots in this airport. But if you want to actually eat a decent meal, do not go here....

Robett C.

Yelp
Just had some awesome brisket tacos. The tocos are great. My wife had the pulled pork and she loved him. Very clean and friendly staff.
google avatar

Dana N.

Yelp
Typical overprice airport food. Waited forever and a day for some tacos, nothing special but was the only thing open. Staff wasn't very friendly either and the cooler for the drinks was not working well because all of their bottled drinks were warm.
