Baby Bull Sandwich - Review - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"You might have to wade through massive crowds to get to this carved tri-tip sandwich spot in the back of the park, but the Baby Bull Sandwich is worth it. The medium-rare meat is tender and layered with caramelized and pickled onions, and pickled carrots, all on a plump roll that makes this sandwich one of the best in the ballpark." - Ricky Rodriguez

Google
Absolutely the Food was freshly made and I had the Best Experience, We ordered online ahead of time so we had super fast service, we will definitely order the next time we are in town.

Stopped in for lunch one day and got the Italian sub. It was way more saucy and greasy than I expected - more like a pizza sandwich. Not bad if you're into that kind of thing, but it ended up being too heavy for me. Will have to come back and try something else. Staff was nice and service was quick. Nice that you can eat out on the sidewalk. Olympic Otter

Google
Really tasty food for a great price. Came before a Giants game, and the cashier was incredibly friendly and fun.

Google
Ordered the original 1762 and it was drowning in horseradish which made the sandwich pretty much inedible.

Google
I drove 30 minutes yesterday to get a sandwich at around 4:30 pm. I don’t know the correct hours for this place since it is very wrong online. It was disappointing to say the least.

Google
i always like their sandwiches. got the holiday turkey today. wish they were open more often, like a few hours before game time. i might actually try and come early to snag a sandwich. what i’m really giving five stars to is the person working alone on memorial day, getting after it and belong all the customers today. i’d give em a hundred stars if i could.

When you’re really hungry and just landed in your hotel, the food is really good. My wife and I split The Earls Club — it’s really good, but as we learned, too small to split. You don’t want to hang out at Earls or dine-in, it’s a grab and go place for sure.

Every-time you go to this store its closed. All timings and information on this is wrong, would strongly advice against going there and wasting your time.

Yelp
Easily one of the best fast-food sandwich chains in the U.S., Earl of Sandwich is a must-try. While they've long been a staple in cities like Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and Orlando, San Francisco has finally joined the club. This is Earl's first foray into the heart of the city, and the classic menu remains untouched. My top recommendation? The Thanksgiving Turkey Sandwich--and don't forget to ask for extra cranberry sauce! It's pure comfort food: warm, savory, and kissed with the subtle sweetness of cranberry. Fair warning, though--this hearty meal might have you ready for a nap afterward. As for the location, it's cozy--think more of a converted office space than a grand dining hall. But who needs glitz and glamor when the sandwiches are this good? Service is fast, and the flavors deliver every time. I can't recommend this place enough--San Francisco, you're in for a treat!

Yelp
I've gone in two separate occasions and they closed themselves bc they "just got a catering order". Would not take my order even though I had walked quite a distance to go there. No exceptions. Then I placed a delivery order...and wrong order.

Yelp
My office ordered lunch for about 30 of us from Earl. I saw the "Italian" and said "that is probably the one for me!" HARD NO. This sandwich is so salty it is inedible.

Yelp
I've been to many Earl of Sandwiches before, so I was very ecstatic when I heard that one was finally going to open up right across 3rd St. from Oracle Park. Whenever you're attending a ballgame, they'll be a great place to grab a sandwich, but their hours are extremely limited. Their normal business hours are only M-F weekdays in the afternoons, but they normally will open just for a couple of hours before 1st pitch on SF Giants games on weekends or for their evening games, but their hours can change daily. As for their interior, they are extremely small with very limited seating. They are designed more for takeout. As for their menu, they can change too on their availability. As for the quality, they are still as good as I remembered their sandwiches to be! Their portions are on the smaller size though, but for SF prices, they are an excellent deal! I hope they'll continue to have extended hours during SF Giants ballgames.

Yelp
Great sandwiches, but was disturbed hearing music with repetitive N-words while eating there on 3/15/24 @ 2:30 pm.

Yelp
My absolute favorite sandwich to get is the Chipotle Chicken Avocado sandwich. It's best to eat it right away while it's fresh and crispy. I always get my food super fast! I only wait about 3 minutes. If there is a line then more around 10 minutes. I like the option to sit but since there is no parking anywhere it's just best to get it to go or for delivery. Definitely worth it!

Yelp
Portion was small. Almost like a large appetizer wrap not quite a full lunch size. I just got a plain chicken Caesar wrap with no croutons and it tasted like something you would get at an airport. Maybe I need to try one of the bigger sandwiches next time but I was disappointed. I also got home and put it in my toaster oven because the chicken was really cold.

Yelp
Food was ok ,my only issue was cashier didn't wash hands before making food ,sandwich was ok cost was 15.00 chips and soda ,wouldn't recommend this sandwich next time I will try something different.

Yelp
OMG, these are probably some of the most flavorful sandwiches I've ever tried! They're closed on the weekends and evenings so we rarely get to go there. The staff are very kind and friendly, and it's too bad the place isn't that busy. The inside is small but comforting. I recommend you try the Full Montagu. I definitely recommend this place!!

Yelp
Great tasting sandwiches. My first ever experience was a Vegas late night bite. The sandwiches are so tasty. I had the Turkey dinner sandwich which is my favorite turkey sandwich ever. I am glad there is finally a San Francisco location.

Yelp
Finally!!! I was fortunate enough to be staying in the city and was within walking distance to Earls. I, didn't get to go myself (sent the fiancé on my behalf to pick up the goods haha) but by the time it got back to me, the sandwich was still hot. I scarfed it down really fast. My go-tos are the Earl's club, tuna melt or the holiday turkey sandwich and today was a holiday turkey Sammie Typa day. It was delicious, just brings me back to all the times I enjoyed it at Las Vegas or Downtown Disney. Couple of things that is a bit of downer on this new SF location. Just like all of SF - parking kinda sucks. Also this location is only open from 10-3! I literally had to kick out my fiancé at 2 to ensure I got my sandwich before they closed. Otherwise, I'm so happy there's a location here. I hope they expand to more locations in the bay.

We had a delightful lunch here. It was warm and cozy inside. The food was delicious and the service was good.

Yelp
Who doesn't love a good sandwich? Earl of Sandwich at 217 King Street in San Francisco delivers! I stopped by today and ordered the "Original 1762" sandwich (heaping amount of roast beef, cheddar cheese, and horseradish sauce on a sliced, soft roll). I added tomatoes and cucumbers (no additional charge). The sandwich was HUGE and only $9.99 which I found very reasonable. So delicious and hearty. The woman who helped me (I'm sorry I didn't get her name) was super friendly and the sandwich was ready in mere minutes. Very limited seating at this location. King Street is busy with no parking. But Mission Creek Park is a short walk around the corner where you can sit and savor this tasty sandwich. Hours are Monday thru Friday 10a to 3p. I highly recommend Earl of Sandwich. Sorry, no photos this time. I ate the sandwich too quickly :)

Yelp
Guess they were out of lettuce on the day I ordered or something, because instead of lettuce (as it lists on the menu) it's like they threw in some kale salad mix that had cabbage, kale, broccoli stems, carrots and slices of raw Brussel sprouts, needless to say I wish they would have just said "Sorry no lettuce" instead of trying to throw in a handful of salad mix that really changed the flavor profile to a level of almost disgust. Just because lettuce is used in salads doesn't mean throw in an random salad mix onto a sandwich and it's the same thing.

Yelp
Man.....office ordered another 60 or so today. I had the club, and it was not good. I couldn't finish it.

Yelp
Nice location on walk home from Mission Bay. Tuna Melt was great! Fresh vegetables and the toasted bread. The bread ratio was approximately proportioned to the sandwich ingredients.. not too much!

Yelp
Disney shut down Earl of Sandwich in their respective locations! Where was I to go for my Holiday Sandwich fix? Las Vegas? No, prayers answered San Francisco is just 25 minutes away ( on a good day with no traffic) from Albany/Berkeley. They are only open from 11-3 m-f and they are super small. Not like the glorious seats available at the previous Disney locations. We grab our sandwiches, Full Momtague, Holiday, 1892 and Meatball and drove to Pier 39 and people watched. It was really cool. They were as delicious as ever. Thanks for opening near our hood. I hope you can bring more out to the bay. Ps. We ordered online and it was ready by the time we got there.

Yelp
Nice location near UCSF China Basin clinic Easy to order on line and service was fast and friendly we have also ordered several sandwiches for a meeting

Yelp
I ordered a holiday Turkey sandwich to be delivered through grub hub. Got my bag with chips (that I did not order). See a note inside that says "sorry we are all out of Turkey. Have a bag of chips on us. "Hoping this is a joke, I open my sandwich and it's a stuffing, barely gravy or cranberry sauce sandwich with a very small, thin slice of Turkey. The restaurant should have either called to say they didn't have what I ordered and to see if I would like something else or cancelled my order. I appreciate the chips but doesn't fix this horrible holiday Turkey "sandwich" that doesn't really have Turkey ! Good luck trying to call the restaurant, no one answers. This is disappointing.

Yelp
Last week I was excited to see this sign letting me know I could finally check out this location since I'm working during their normal weekday hours. Hesitant, I called to confirm they were open but it just kept ringing. I arrived Sunday at 12pm and it was closed. I felt betrayed, with this sign mocking me as I stood disappointed

Yelp
TIPS: - Take-out only - No parking available - Limited lunch weekday hours Small take-out shop serving sandwiches, wraps, and salads. We opted for the chicken avocado wrap. The server was friendly and quick. The wrap was tasty and were made with fresh, quality ingredients. However, the portions were small for what you pay for. Would recommend for a quick to-go lunch spot!

Yelp
It's open! It's finally open! I usually drive down the embarcadero to go to work, and today while I was at the stop light, I noticed a young lady stepping out to open the door. I then noticed the "closed" sign that was on the window was flipped to "open", so I went to check their website and social media to see if what I was seeing was real! It was indeed! So I parked on 3rd, and walked on over. First thing I noticed were the tv screens on the wall that still has their plastic shrink wrap on. Today was literally their first day! My giddiness couldn't contain itself while I placed my order. While I waited, I looked around the space. It is more of a grab and go location, as there were no tables available, just a few bar stools along the wall, and a lower table for patrons in wheelchairs. I've attached photos of the space, and their current menu.

Yelp
Prices are great, the sandwiches are amazing. I tried a salad from them and it was good also! Only problem is that it's only open for like four hours each day. I would go here a lot more if not for that. I highly recommend getting something here. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
New favorite sandwich place! Very quick service and the sandwich was delicious. Absolutely would come back when I'm visiting SF again!

Yelp
I tried to go here on a Friday afternoon a few weeks ago, but the employee closed the place early at 2:30 pm. She said she was on a break until 3 pm, which is the closing time. She advised me to try Safeway for a sandwich so I did. I wanted to try this place in San Francisco because I liked it in Las Vegas, but it's not worth it because they are only open for a few hours each weekday. I don't see this place surviving, and it is not worth making the trip because they can close whenever they feel like it.

Jed H.

Yelp
Best sandwich ever!!! I would highly recommend. Wish it was in a better accessible area

Shane J.

Yelp
My photos will show you what you get in reality compared to what they lure you in with. There's so many awesome sandwich spots in Sf that this one is beyond passable. Did it sustain my energy? sure did I like it? Not one but.

Yelp
Sandwich was hot and the ingredients were fresh. It was my first time at an Earl of Sandwich, I had heard a lot of good things. They def lived up to their reputation. I would recommend

Yelp
Ordered from Grubhub today. Small sized sandwiches on ciabatta rolls not filling. Caprese sandwich was so sad. It had 2 or 3 small slices of caprese and 2 pieces of basil with baslsamic vinegar. It was dry and not good. The Holiday Turkey was good, but the meat is not good. It is like the cheap deli meat from Grocery Outlet thin and glossy, barely looks like real turkey. We were so psyched but so dissapointed. Subway gives more filling in their sandwiches.

Yelp
It's over by the giants stadium. I have tried going on three separate random occasions. Every time it has been closed.. last time I went I was so confused as to why it was closed but apparently they take off minor holidays like on Columbus/ indigenous peoples day... if you live closer to union square, Don't bother coming here, they will probably be closed anyway.

Chris S.

Yelp
My sandwich was so good that I paid another $10 in delivery fees to enjoy another one.
