"This Legacy West eatery is equally enjoyable indoors and out, however, opting for the patio offers the chance to cozy up to a rather large fire pit. Settle into one of the outdoor settees surrounding the fire with a steak, burger, tacos, pizza, or rice bowl — Earl’s has a bit of everything." - Alaena Hostetter, Whitney Filloon

This hip upscale restaurant does not disappoint. The dining area and bar are well designed for comfort and visual appeal for small or larger groups. The staff were abundantly friendly and helpful. The food came out quickly and the quality was superb. I was especially impressed with the sushi tacos. They were so tasty I had to order a second plate. The only negative aspect of the experience was the paper straws in our mixed drinks. After two sips, the straw collapsed in my drink.

I swung by Legacy West for a change in scenery and decided to sit outdoors. Let me tell you, the atmosphere there is always super chill, and the server I had was so knowledgeable, which is definitely a bonus. Oh, and let me not forget to mention the sauce they use for their steak – it's tasty! Seriously, I could put that sauce on just about anything and it would taste amazing!

I always enjoy Earls and try their test kitchen dishes as often as possible. The two latest test dishes were SO good! The Oishii Wagyu sushi and the Tuna Poke Bowl were both GREAT! I would eat the wagyu sushi all day - I hope it becomes a permanent dish. Until it does, y’all should GO get it!! The coconut mint margaritas were refreshing and not too sweet, Oysters were fresh and sweet, and the chicken sandwich wasn’t bad either (although after everything else, it wasn’t the highlight!).

Google
This is a ‘test kitchen’ location of Earls. We both had their ‘test items’ on the menu and they are excellent. The zen salmon sushi rice bowl and the prosciutto & arugula pizza are excellent. And our waiter Hunter is friendly and knowledgeable of the items in the menu.

Google
Lovely restaurant, great location, decent food but horrible service! Appetizers and entrees came out at the same time. No refills on drinks, the waiter was literally sitting down chilling while we waited 20 minutes for the check. Not a manager in sight. There are much better restaurants in the area no wonder why they were half empty on a Friday.

Google
Everything here is amazing. Foods , ambiance, server and music. We came here for Father’s Day weekend and we love them all.

Last night’s vibe at Earls was lively. Me and one of my girlfriends sat at the bar. You know, your girl was sexy in her Versace stilettos but I was worried about slipping on the slick floors. Thank goodness all was well but be mindful ladies!!👠 BTW, valet services is just outside the restaurant for convenience which is super awesome during busy Saturdays at Legacy West! I ordered the Cobb salad with no cheese and it was a perfect healthy option for dinner. I also ordered the strawberry margarita which was equally tasty; better when someone I met at the bar ordered me another!! I give kudos to the staff as every person I encountered was pleasant and asked repeatedly if we needed anything. 🍹💕

I recently visited Earls Kitchen + Bar in Plano with a friend, and overall, it was a fantastic dining experience. The restaurant boasts a delightful ambiance, and the staff was amiable. We ordered various dishes, all of which were delicious, and the sparkling wine added a perfect touch to our meal. It indeed was a delightful dinner, and we thoroughly enjoyed every moment. However, I did encounter a minor concern with the bill. Upon reviewing it at home, I noticed an extra item (Tacos worth $15) we didn't order or consume during our visit. I must admit that I overlooked this detail while at the restaurant, likely due to being engrossed in conversation. This oversight on my part is something I regret, as had I checked the bill more thoroughly, I could have clarified the discrepancy with the staff at the restaurant. In fairness to Earls Kitchen + Bar, I understand that mistakes can happen, and both customers and establishments must ensure the accuracy of the billing. I highly recommend Earls Kitchen + Bar for its incredible ambiance, friendly staff, and delicious seafood. My experience, aside from the billing issue, was indeed positive. I encourage everyone to take a moment to review their bills carefully before making payment, as mistakes can occur, and prompt clarification can make the overall dining experience even better. Thank you to the Earls Kitchen + Bar team for an otherwise perfect evening.

Yelp
We've been coming here for years. BF loves the old fashion and they always are giving the best recommendations P.S. PLEASE bring make the bibimbap

Bryan R.

Yelp
Good food and excellent service. The filet was good and we enjoyed the wagyu appetizer. Both of us weren't too impressed with the sticky pudding but it was ok. Atmosphere is good, would have been nice to sit outside on their patio - but it is just too hot for any of that right now.

Yelp
Not worth it. Took clients there for lunch and ordered the fish. It was supposed to be flakey and juicy, but it was a sliver of fish that was thin and dry. 1!!! Potato on the whole plate, a small cauliflower and mainly corn It looked like the rest of what the kitchen had left... ridiculous! $41.00 for this "appetizer". This can NOT be considered an entree. $5.00 for iced tea??? Ridiculous, too. Avoid!! Never again!!

Yelp
Been to Earls several times but this last visit was special It was my late birthday celebration gift from a dear friend Our server Filsan was amazing, very personable with exceptional customer service. Filson recommended the Spinach mushroom pizza which was mouthwatering good. Filson was very knowledgeable on the menu food items. Definitely made my day-she also brougt out a complementary desert for my birthday and i am thankful for a great dinner. Made it memorable Higly recommend Filson Shall be back

Darshan P.

Yelp
First time here with my friend and I. We loved the ambiance atmosphere, super great employees, and caring. I ordered the Margherita pizza (To-go). The hostess was super nice and fast!

Erickita S.

Yelp
I liked my meal it was really well prepared. Nice steak with large shrimp.service was good in the beginning but fell off after a while once it got busy which I understand, as I was there with a large party.

Mohsin S.

Yelp
Nice space in the Legacy West area. Was busy on. Rainy Friday evening. Menu mostly consists of sushi, seafood and steak dishes. Some pizza as well. Average dinner here would be 50$+ per person. Sadly the value is just not there. Crab cakes were mostly filler and very little crab. Lobster undercooked. No one in the group seemed to be gushing with praise.

Mikki T.

Yelp
The service was excellent and the food was even better! We will definitely be returning soon!

Lauren H.

Yelp
Came here for a team lunch. Nice atmosphere and very friendly service. I ordered my steak medium rare and it came out medium well. Due to time constraints, I wasn't able to send my steak back or even mention it to the server. It is what it is. Truffle fries were really good as well as the salad that came with my entree.

Jamie Y.

Yelp
One of our favorite restaurants to dine in in Legacy West! My husband and I love the ambiance of Earls kitchen - full of natural light, green and open space make this restaurant a great option for lunch while shopping in Legacy. First time we visited, we loved it so much, we brought our parents when they came to visit us from out of town. Now onto food. On our first visit, we tried Truffle fries for appetizer, Truffle + steak tortellini and classic burger with avocado and fries for entrees. Everything was delicious. The meat on the burger was cooked perfectly and nicely paired with skinny fries. Truffle aioli was addicting. Tortellini with steak was very good. On our second visit, we ventured out more and tried many different things. We shared sushi tacos, buffalo cauliflower and avocado dip. Kale and mushroom pizza was delicious, so was margherita pizza. I can't remember everything we ordered, but we all enjoyed everything! In addition to wonderful food, our server was super nice and attentive. I believe their menu changes occasionally. We would love to visit again to try more yumminess.

Yelp
Love the concept and some of our choices were quite excellent. The pros- ambience was upscale casual w good music and lighting, lots of booths, really good bbq plate w ribs and chicken. The cons- service was exceptionally slow- and this seemed to be a shared experience by everyone around us. Food runners brought out food and we didn't see our server again until the check. We would have liked to order some additional items and drinks but didn't get a chance. The prices are high. They were out of French fries, all sushi dishes, and gluten-free crusts for pizza (which they neglected to tell us until after we ordered 86ed items). The salmon was over cooked and bland. Would have loved some extra dressing or lemon. The drinks were overly sweet and took forever. I'd try a neighboring restaurant next time. But boys that was a good bbq plate so maybe if you go get that!

Matthew B.

Yelp
Surprisingly, strong showing on the seafood. The seafood towers were absolutely fabulous for the group, but the coup de grace was the chard Seabass with lobster and prawns, which was huge and really well done. Who knew you could get killer seafood in Dallas, Texas?

Michael M.

Yelp
My family and I had dinner on Friday night , it was busy I understand 10 minutes our server showed up. We ordered our food it looks like the kitchen got slammed 45 minutes later the food came out . The carne asada it came out well done instead of MW and warm at best , truffle parm chicken overcooked we have to cut around the edge and my wife Atlantic salmon no cooked in the middle we have been going there since the opening it was really bad experience especially celebrating our mom birthday, slow service , long ticket ticket time and the food quality not up to par . Michael

Jess M.

Yelp
The steak was to die for! I love my sandwich, too. BUT, our service was horrible. It took him 15 minutes to even bring us the check at the end. He acted like we were bothering him by asking the third time. None of us dressed up, so the waiter obviously thought we were poor and wouldn't tip well (2 engineers and a doctor-not really the case). He even kind of acted like we were stupid when we asked questions about the food/menu. So, we still gave 20% when it really should have been much, much less. Wouldn't recommend this place because of the service. Just dress up so they don't profile you, I guess.

Arthur P.

Yelp
I went with the bacon cheddar burger. It was a GREAT burger it just wasn't $25 great if that makes sense! I think it's a $15 burger all day all night. But that's my take on it. I would have liked a bigger patty or a double patty to offset the price. The truffle fries were great nothing to scoff at all. I'd like to come back and try something different for sure!

Jeremiah A.

Yelp
Ordered a burger for delivery from here and did not realize that it was fake meat because it was not properly labeled. Disgusting and a waste of money.

June M.

Yelp
I would say this restaurant quality doesn't match with the price tag. Food was okay, not the best. However, inside restaurant is very nice. Perfect for having a glass of wine with friends or date night. Make sure to make reservations before hands. Decent service, very professional.

Kimberly N.

Yelp
Stopped in Earl's for a pre-NYE meal. They offered a preset 3-course menu that offered a number of choices. The food was mediocre and lacked flavor. The food presentation, service and drinks were great.

Tosha R.

Yelp
I really wanted to like this place because the food was good and I enjoyed the atmosphere... BUT the service was terrible. I ended up getting dessert to go bc our server cashed us out without asking if we even wanted it. And then I had to go remind him that I was waiting for it 20 mins after I placed the order. He apologized and said he forgot :/. A shame.

Savitri B.

Yelp
Earls Kitchen and Bar at Legacy West offers an all-around pleasant experience. Good service, well-crafted cocktails and great menu options, including some great "test menu" opportunities. The blackened chicken is my personal go-to dish. I realize that sounds less than exciting, but, it's packed with flavor. The lively atmosphere, coupled with ample bar seating makes it an overall solid choice for a satisfying dining and cocktail experience.

Riya P.

Yelp
Feels a gastro-pub and quite expensive. Good food, service and a let's go in a group kind of a place! Hole in my pocket but felt totally worth the food

Tiffany E.

Yelp
This place has great vibes! Our waiter Grant was amazing with knowledge on each dish. I love that this restaurant is the flagship restaurant so they have the main chefs and try all new dishes at this location first. The apps were awesome but beware the crab cakes have a lot of onions in them. I'm giving them a 4 and not a 5 because the shrimp was not cooked through. My dish arrived, the inside of the shrimp was cold and I sent it back but it arrived again with cold, barely transparent shrimp that did not look cooked. Other than that, amazing!

Sheila R.

Yelp
Cute bar and restaurant in Plano, Texas. Went with some friends for happy hour and dinner. Lots of great options. Old fashioned and margaritas were good, although I prefer fresh juice to sour mix in the latter. We sampled the chicken lettuce wraps (which were group friendly as the were divided and portioned by the kitchen), tuna tataki, and fries. Yum. Everyone loved the spicy chicken tacos. Tuna poke bowl was very good. Crab cakes were a slightly different version, packed with lots of stuff... I prefer more traditional, Maryland style. Desserts were good. Service was excellent. Definitely will be back

Dwaneika C.

Yelp
I came here for a birthday dinner. The whole experience over all other than the food and the drinks and the server was complete trash. We had a party of about eight people and it took us about two hours to get our food which is ridiculous, and when the food came out, the food was cold. I had to send back my ravioli to be warmed up because it was too cold, and even when it came back out, it was not hot enough. I decided just to eat at the ravioli it's all had a wonderful labor. The drink was well-made and strong however, waiting two hours and paying the price we did did not compensate. This is a beautiful restaurant and a beautiful ambience, but I would recommend if going here please go during a slow hour or during the weekday and have a small party

Reema S.

Yelp
This restaurant is at a prime corner of the bustling Legacy West. My family and I had the pleasure of having brunch here today and were not disappointed. The outdoor seating at this restaurant is comfortable, chic and plenty. It's great for people watching as people walk by. I loved the marble tables and the beautiful breezy weather in the sun. Our server was very polite and accommodating. To start we had the elote avocado dip which was fantastic. I loved the slight char on the corn, the tartness of the feta crumbs, crunch of the radish and creaminess of the avocado. A textural and flavorful heaven. For entrees we ordered the breakfast burger, the chicken and waffles, and the tuna bowl. The fried chicken was absolutely amazing - fried perfectly, succulent on the inside and spicy and marinated all the way. The honey drizzled on top was fantastic. My only complain is the waffle - it was too dry on the outside and borderline crispy and crunchy. I would have also loved to see softened butter on the plate alongside the syrup. My cousin, who had the tuna described her dish as super fresh with a textural element of the wonton strips, as well as creamy with the sauce and the fresh cooked rice. The breakfast burger was pretty standard. My cousin ordered a side of hollandaise sauce which she thought was delicious. I especially loved the italian spritz mocktail which was a bubbly grapefruit drink on ice which I enjoyed very much. It was super refreshing for brunch on a sunny, breezy day. Overall I think this is a really solid place with great food, with slight room for improvement. Definitely recommend checking it out if you find yourself around Plano.

Bethany P.

Yelp
The food has gotten much better here over the years. The newer items not he menu are a great treat. Love the fact that there are some truly healthier options. Great atmosphere, but strange they always run out of items and beer frequently.

Mike F.

Yelp
Came here for a Mother's Day dinner. Our party of four was promptly seated in a wonderful outside area. When it started to rain, the staff promptly moved us to an inside table. Our waitress was incredible. The menu is varied and all of our items were very tasty. Our favorite of the night was the avocado dip appetizer. It's probably the best avocado/guacamole I've tasted. We highly recommend Earl's for any special occasion or date night.

Alex B.

Yelp
Hot spot for a night out with great decor and liveliness. Appreciate them having an entire plant based section on their menu! Service was pretty good, nothing super noticeable. Easy to get a reservation for 9pm on a Friday. Only disappointment was portion size for an entree was definitely on the smaller side, don't mind the prices being higher but you'll definitely be dropping about $60 minimum a person if you're planning to do dinner.

Kate A.

Yelp
The vegan options here are great. The mushroom and kale vegan pizza was creamy, salty, and had a great crunch. We came later in the day and the restaurant was empty; however, our food still took a while to come out. Savannah, our server, was great and I still look forward to coming back!

Kenny I.

Yelp
Walking in, it's a very nice, modernistic, and cozy place, the architecture and interior design was very clean and eyecatching. The food was refreshing, and filled with flavor. The sangria was on point, and had fresh fruit. The restaurant overall was amazing and i would highly recommend.

Sarika K.

Yelp
Food: 10/10 Service: 10/10 Ambiance: Upscale, Late-Night Fancy Beautiful interior and fancy looking tables. The waiter was so friendly. And the food was unique and delicious. Pro tip: Make reservations beforehand on Friday-Sundays. They take walk-ins from 10pm onwards

Elisabeth M.

Yelp
Met here for a girls night. The prices are a little steep so be prepared. The white sangria was not that great. It tasted like juice. I wouldn't order it again. Chicken tacos were standard fare. The only reason why the review is a 4 instead of a 3 is the truffle fries and aioli mayo. So good! And you've got to sit on the patio for people watching.

Natasha H.

Yelp
Not sure what happened here. I am so sad. I used to love this place. The ambiance, the food, the drinks, the prices all were amazing. I came last night with some girlfriends to have dinner and drinks for a pre birthday celebration. The menu was completely changed which is fine. The prices through the roof- ok inflation. I ordered the truffle tortellini a 16$ plate and added chicken for 6$ more dollars. I was excited because this dish sounded delicious in the description. The pasta needed salt- yes- no flavor. The chicken breast fillet was so dry I almost choked. I was like why?? I was looking forward to this plate so much and I was so disappointed We had a bottle of Prosecco which was fine and I had a glass of 8 oz 20+$ glass of a pinot noir. I hope they bring some of their old menu dishes back and hopefully if they are going to have extremely high prices they could math the quality of the food. This is a fantastic hangout but when you pay 55$ for just one entree and a glass of wine you expect everything to be simply amazing. This was not the case last night. I felt I was over charged for mediocre food.

Jan A.

Yelp
The food is overpriced and not good. My few pieces of steak were overcooked and very spicy. The sushi is better at the grocery store. I was very disappointed. I won't return

Lindsy H.

Yelp
They hit it out of the park AGAIN! For my birthday dinner I chose Earl to celebrate with my girlfriends & they did not disapoint. Showed earlier than my reservation & was shown to a cozy table - thank you for being a well lit so a girl can actually read the menu! I started with some bubbly - Happy Birthday to me! The table ordered the delicious Street Corn & Avocado dip, wowser!!! We were even given extra chips when we still had dip leftover. Being dairy free it was wonderful to hear the crema is vegan!!! We just asked for the feta to be on half. We each ordered cocktails & they were tasty! The Holiday Margarita & Tokyo Cosmo were the favorites. For dinner the Cajun Oven Roasted Salmon was a hit! Cooked to perfection, the salmon melted onto the fork & the veggies paired wonderfully with the rice & salmon. I couldn't get enough! Thank you Earl's for another great experience!

Christine L.

Yelp
Came for a work dinner on a Wednesday night - very busy, reservations recommended. We ordered a sampler appetizer for 6, so we got to try oysters, ahi, guac, shrimp cock tail, shrimp roll, and truffle fries. Everything was good, but nothing particularly noteworthy. The cocktail shrimp seemed a little over cooked. If I go with friends, I'd probably just get the guac. For my main, I got the miso glazed Chilean sea bass and it was fantastic. It's pricy, but the dish comes with a nice thick piece of Chilean sea bass. Mine was cooked perfectly and the sauce and grains were delicious. It also comes with 4 or 5 jumbo grilled shrimp, which seemed over cooked. Ambiance was fine, just a bit noisy, since it seems like a popular destination for work dinners. I'll definitely be back on a weekend with friends for the sea bass.

Sonia H.

Yelp
Great ambience on a mid-day Saturday afternoon. Really lackluster service... server neglected our table for extended periods of time and our burgers were OK but certainly not worth what we shelled out for them. Doubt we'll return.

Monica G.

Yelp
Food quality has degraded tremendously. The price to food quality is inversely proportional. Service was good. Ambiance is the same.

Brooke J.

Yelp
I was shocked when I got my bill. I had a pretty conservative portion of tortellini with 7 oz steak on top for $65.00. Menu said $35 or something but unbeknownst to me I was upgraded to the highest quality steak and got an upcharge. I paid $85 for an expresso martini and a mediocre pasta steak dinner plus I tipped.... So overall I spent about $100 for myself for 2 items. If I was going to treat myself for that price I'll take my business to Al Berniets next time.

Gina H.

Yelp
Long overdue for this beautiful restaurant in Legacy West! We came in with a group of four and sat outside. The inside is also really beautiful but I love a good patio setting. The server was great, I can't remember his name. But he was really helpful with the menu for it being our first time and super friendly! Anyways, the food was impressive! My husband has the chicken and ribs which comes with a warm potato salad (I think that's what it was called) and wow phenomenal. The potatoes were really flavorful and good the chicken was great too but the ribs were most impressive! They were soft fall off the bone and actually seasoned really well! The other meal I had was the sea bass which was good 4/5 but not my favorite sea bass i've had. Suprisingly lacked flavor even with the miso served on it. Vegetables served with it were not my favorite either. Drinks were also pretty tasty we all tried several different cocktails. We'll definitely be back!

C D.

Yelp
Everything was superb. The service from a bright and smiling hostess to a prompt and friendly server and then the food!!! Impeccable. I had chowder, a shrimp roll and the best Seabass I have ever eaten. Then a chat with the chef to say how great my experience has been, then the cheesecake. Everything here was a 12. Yes two more than just 10 stars. Great ambience and concern for the guest a demonstrated with quality, service, cleanliness, interest in my satisfaction and speed of service. Jenna the Hostess, Damien the chef, Khaki the GM, and Carly my fantastic server. This was an experience as much as a meal. Kudos!

Jessica C.

Yelp
Seafood tower was amazing, steak cooked perfectly and the lobster pasta was soooo good. A super beautiful place with fresh seafood and great service.

Mervi T.

Yelp
Came here after work and had a relatively large party too but was seated quickly due to our reservation. Ordered the truffle fries, oysters, buffalo cauliflower, and nachos for the table as apps & all were so good! I had the tokyo cosmo & a new menu item with streak and truffle pasta and food did not disappoint! Will definitely be coming back to try other menu items as well. Our server was very attentive as well, coming back frequently to check on our food and drinks

Rumil L.

Yelp
First restaurant in Texas and man did this place do right. The interior design looks amazing. The open walls, lighting, and choice and placement of decor really made for a great atmosphere. I ordered the steak truffle tortellini and watermelon vodka slush and both were hitters I'd recommend. This place is open fairly late and service was absolutely phenomenal plus right next to the renaissance hotel. Can't wait to come back.

Morgan H.

Yelp
The food is overpriced for the quality. When we went they kept having issues, the bottle of wine we ordered apparently our server forgot they didn't sell it anymore, so they brought us a wine that was double the cost. Then we ordered burgers and after everyone else got their food we were told they ran out of hamburgers. Seemed strange as the table next to us got burgers within 20 minutes of them telling us they sold out for the evening.

Lora R.

Yelp
Today we went to Earls Kitchen for Easter Brunch. Our reservation was for 2:30 PM and we were on time. Just for reference we had just been there two Sundays ago and it was perfect. Today, not so much. Our water, who never gave us his name came by about 15 minutes after we were seated and took our drink order and brunch order. We were then told that we would not get the brunch pricing because it was after 3PM and he pretty much disappeared for the next 45 minutes. When we got our order of eggs, Benedict and eggs over medium they were cold, The hollandaise sauce was cold, the potatoes were cold. What was an excellent brunch two weeks ago was a very bad brunch today. Tables came, tables went, and we had no food. Luckily, we have eaten at Earls Kitchen quite a few times before so we knew this was not the standard food for the restaurant and finally when a manager came by, we told her about the situation, and our brunch, which was totally inedible was comped for us, but it was a significant Easter disappointment. This young waiter just didn't care, and in fact, blamed the quality of our food on the kitchen, which I know was not the case having worked in college had several fine dining restaurants and also making quite a bit of money and tips for providing good service. I'm sure we will be back to Earl's for lunch or dinner but I don't know if I'll ever come back for brunch again. There is quite frankly, nothing worse than cold eggs, cold hollandaise sauce and cold fried potatoes. They are a much better restaurant than this, but a waiter like this can destroy a good restaurants reputation. This was not the kitchen's fault as our waiter claimed, this was the fault of the wait staff.

Marissa L.

Yelp
Service: Very good however, the server was not able to give recommendations about food on the menu. Ambiance: The restaurant was nice and relaxing, it made us feel like we were not on a busy strip through its uplifting atmosphere. Food: The two appetizers were delicious both had a little bit of a kick which added flavor to the food. The ribs and chicken were delicious. The ribs fell off the bone, the bbq sauce was homemade and fantastic, the chicken was filled with flavor, highly recommend. This meal came with potato salad that was substituted with truffle fries that were served warm and flavorful with a side of truffle sauce that enhanced the flavor. The Bangkok bowl was a little disappointing, I expected something different based on the description but besides that would recommend the restaurant.

Wesley S.

Yelp
Jordan A. was awesome at the bar. Anyone who hasn't made it to Earls in Legacy West should get on over there. Ask for Jordan at the bar. She gets customer service!!!

Southern Bev N.

Yelp
The kale and mushroom pizza was delicious! You can tell since there's only 1 slice left I am stuffed!

Hadija N.

Yelp
Food was a 5/10. Great vibes and service but the flavor of the food was lacking and my pasta was undercooked
