In Richmond running some errands, my partner and I decided to find a tasty breakfast to sooth our rumbling tummies. Parking was a little difficult, but we made it work.
The inside of the restaurant was bustling. It was super busy, with limited seating. It was pretty cramped for the number of people waiting to eat. This is probably more of a to-go place - there were about 4 or 5 tables inside, and a couple outside. You wait in line to place your order at the counter, then wait for your food to come out (people were using the bartop seating as a waiting area, or else there'd be more room for dining.. I was lucky enough to find a table next to the line). You can see the staff working hard and handcrafting biscuits. They hand out coffees from a separate station across from the kitchen. This shop's specialty is their rotating "unique" biscuits! That day, it was the Apple Crisp biscuit. Looking at their Instagram, they've had all kinds of cool flavors! In addition, they have all kinds of fresh baked sweet treats.
For my love, the Saturday special at the time, which was bacon, egg, and cheese, along with an Americano. He also got a pumpkin roll, which he raved about! I got the veggie sausage, egg, and cheese with homemade blueberry raspberry jam, with a sparkling Sanpellegrino. My boyfriend loved the biscuit, and the Americano was piping hot and hit the spot. My veggie biscuit was pretty good. The egg was different from the one my bf got. I'm not sure if they made it with egg whites or what. I still enjoyed it. The homemade jam was a bit sour for my taste. The biscuit itself was the best part, it was delicious, flaky, and fresh.
I'd love to stop by again if I'm in Richmond! Their unique biscuit flavors and baked goods are always changing, so there's always something new to try! So cool!!
