How Restaurants and Bakeries Are Adapting to High Egg Prices | Eater

"Provided through GrowNYC to a Brooklyn restaurant and mentioned alongside Red Gate Farm as stable suppliers; the restaurant owner pays between $50 and $70 for a 15-dozen case and believes sourcing from smaller farms helps buffer against commodity-market shocks: “Our [egg] prices have always been higher,” the owner says." - Bettina Makalintal

Highest quality annuals and perennials I have found in Tompkins County. They are growers and understand the requirements needed to produce high quality plant material. As professional gardener, I appreciate their knowledge and friendliness. They strive to establish relationships with customers ,which goes a long way in what matters to me.

Google
Such a wide array of plants that are all seed grown from their own greenhouses. The workers were so incredibly nice, patient and willing to answer any questions. We’ve been looking for poppies for years and we finally got some here!!!!!! Cannot wait to put them in the ground.

I am so glad that my daughter, Angela, told me about Early Bird Farm! I bought a lot of perennials, sold in packs of 4. They all grew into beautiful giant plants! The delphiniums were spectacular. I live in Utica, and I will be back next spring! Thank you for the wonderful flowers!

Google
Huge selection of flower and food plants at a fair price. Both annuals and perrinials. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.

This is without a doubt the best place to purchase plants, get advice, and if you think garden - this is it!!! Honest, the plants grow bigger, they always seem to thrive and the selection can't be beat! I even have a friend from THE GARDEN STATE, that cannot resist. Early Bird - an essential...

Yelp
Was checking out a cpl greenhouses in the area , this one is deffilnity a big green house with a lot of selections.. prices seemed fair but I'm not a local. But to me the quality and range of products and prices , definitely seemed good.

Yelp
Sensibly priced local source of all the basics that form the backbone of your veggie and flower gardens. This family run operation is staffed by cheerful folks who seem to really love growing, and treat you more like a good neighbor than a customer. Their prices, selection of basic veggies, and quality are consistently worth the trip. You're not going to find a lot of exotic heirloom varieties here (I haven't been there yet this year, maybe they'll surprise me!), but what they do carry covers the basics. The big new green house they built down Rt 13 from their original location has plenty of parking and is easy to find. I miss the leisurely strolls I used to take touring through all the old greenhouses at the original location. Everything is under one roof now, which makes for a more efficient in-and-out experience than their old setup, so it's a trade-off. Leaving the parking lot can be little awkward because you can't turn left. No biggie, I'm always so excited about spring, and getting my garden going, that I'm too happy to fret about such a minor inconvenience as I head home to put all my new goodies in the ground!

Yelp
Good luck finding this place. I showed up just to have a sign instruct me "open for business one mile south" about 1/4 of a mile south the road forks. Even if you follow Elmira road there's no obvious signage. Wish I could say something about the plants but heir inability to update their location on google maps precluded this.

Yelp
Hands down the best place around to buy plants. Plants are superior quality to anywhere else and the price is the same as you'd pay at somewhere not as good.

Yelp
Early Bird Farm has a huge variety of annual and perennial flowering plants as well as vegetable plants for all of your gardening needs. They have lots of choices for hanging baskets, that will bring joy all summer long. Skip the big box commercial stores and come to Early Bird Farms for beautiful, locally grown plants.
