Best New Restaurant Openings in NYC, March 2023 | Eater NY

"A New Mexico–born coffee shop that had to change its New York name from Montage, it plans to host events, sell books in collaboration with the Latinx-owned Duende District Bookstore, and offers pastries infused with green hatch chiles and other Southwestern flavors." - Luke Fortney

Google
Great atmosphere (D’Angelo 🥰 is always a great music vibe), food was amaze. The person who took my order seems like they hate their job but overall would definitely visit again.

Nice neighborhood coffee spot in Bedstuy. Appreciated the coffee and latte variety options. The matcha oat milk latte was good and so was the chai tea latte. The almond croissant was amazing. Also happy I was able to bring my pup inside.

This place makes the absolute best latte I have ever had, every single time —- like it’s truly amazing. I come here almost every day and I recommend it to all of my friends, always post about it on socials.. The majority of the staff is sweet and I’m grateful to their magical latte making!!

The welcoming vibe at Early Yves was the first thing I felt when I walked in this chill establishment. The friendliness of the staff, as well as the tasty coffee, are no doubt some of the reasons you’ll love this place. While you wait for your order, be sure to check out the advice board. There’s a lot of great tips, and you can add yours for future customers to ponder. Oh, make sure to get here early, since they close at 15:00.

We got an iced coffee and iced chai latte. The coffee was really good and the atmosphere was nice for a Sunday stroll.

If you are looking for a nice spot to have a chat with someone, study or just have a good coffee and pastry this is a great one. The place is really chill and calm. Staff is really friendly and welcoming. I had the sourdough toast with mascarpone cheese and fruits, and a lavender latte. The sourdough toast with butter, cinnamon and sugar is also highly recommended.

Google
Found this place when searching "dog friendly coffee shops" on google even a photo of a dog popped up. Went in to do work with my partner and when we came in with our dog we were greeted by another dog owner with their two dogs. The dogs calmly greeted each other (the whole cafe saw, including the workers) and then I went to order order drinks, "for here." After we set up our lattes and began working, about 15 minutes later the worker who rang me up came by and told us dogs weren't welcome. As a result we respectfully got up and left. The issue is not that dogs aren't welcome, the issue is that they let us spend money there, set up our laptops to work only to kick us out 15 minutes later. There were multiple points when they could have told us dogs were not welcome in the space. When we entered, when I ordered, etc. To let us spend money, and not even finish our drinks is ridiculous and very inconsiderate.

It’s hard to overstate what a beautiful café these folks have created. Seriously community minded people with great coffee and delicious & layered recipes, Early Yves is exactly what I had been praying for. They love dogs, my dog loves them (and their pup cups!), the vibe is kind and super chill… it’s just… the place to be. I wish everyone had such a great neighborhood spot. ♥️

Yelp
Iced vanilla latte (9/10) very good and strong not overly sweet! Pea flower latte (7/10) it's good but very different tasting it's a little earthy, raspberry lemonade (9/10) very good and fresh if your looking for a sweet drink

Yelp
The perfection just could not last. I still love the declared mission and the space and the coffee is good, but they stopped having any Gluten Free baked goods and don't seem interested in offering more any time soon. I've stopped going as it's been progressively felt less and less a welcoming space and more a place where the cool crowd hangs out. While there's a lot of events, simple questions (via Insta) about the menu, etc are just ignored by whoever's reading them.

Yelp
Food :I haven't tried the food yet. But I did get a drink the butterfly pea latte with oatmilk which was delicious. Service: nice , the cashier was pleasant They made me feel welcomed which is always a plus. Ambiance : very minimal , artsy Spacious appeared to be cool for working from home if need be and or reading a book. The music selection was pretty nice I believe Lauryn hill was playing in the background. I'll be returning again to grab a latte and bite to eat and enjoy the space again full as I was out walking in my neighborhood with my dog.

Yelp
Just popped into this super cute and brand new cafe in the heart of Bed-stuy. As soon as you walk in, you're greeted by the friendly vibes of the staff, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee, and the warm decor. I love the combination of exposed brick, natural wood and lively plants. I ordered a cortado with "mylk". It was served in a super cute cup, made at the perfect temperature and was soo good. In fact, I immediately ordered another to-go! I learned this business is women-owned and run by three best friends, whom all hail from New Mexico. You can tell they put a ton of love into the cafe and it shows in every detail. It's so amazing to see new local gems like this popping up again across New York. Thank you to the team at Early Yves for such great service and delicious coffee. I'll be back for sure and will definitely try their food next time!

Yelp
Extremely blah beverage (with tax and tip I think I paid $8 for a lemonade that I watched be made with tap water and a shot of that cheap lemon juice in the green bottle). Behind the counter workflow is so slow it's painful to watch.

Yelp
The atmosphere is great! The lattes are delicious, and I adore the staff. While I have my favorites, everyone is friendly and welcoming. It's a great place to pop in for a quick jolt of caffeine or lounge a bit with friends or colleagues.

Yelp
This place is precious. To the interior design . To the little details on the walls . The seats the interesting tables . It's a perfect spot to catch up on work or catch up with a friend or just to enjoy your own company . I feel it's such a community spot . The adorable cashier was super sweet and kind . I found all of the workers here to be warm and kind . I had the chai and it was lovely . Not too sweet , and perfect temperature . I haven't tried anything on their menu yet but when I come back I want to grab some things . But it's a really nice spot so welcome to the neighborhood Early Yves !

Yelp
Delightful coffee shop with plenty of room to work or relax. Service is extraordinarily friendly and food and drinks are top notch. Avocado toast is the best I have had in Brooklyn. Coffee is fresh and packs a punch! Must check this one out.

Yelp
I never write reviews but with a million and one coffee shops to choose from in this city, thought I'd help direct y'all to this one. First off, it's gorgeous - natural light, live plants, feels homey and modern at the same damn time. It's spacious! One of my biggest irks with this city but there's so much room for activities here (a man in a fedora literally just got up and did a little drop it low stretch in the middle of the room as I was writing this). There are so many places to sit and there's an outdoor bench too. And there are outlets. Sev-er-al outlets. Basically, it's a great place to work for a bit. The food and coffee are top-notch. That chocolate chunk cookie is a mouthgasm all on its one. The lavender coffee drink hits and the basic latte is no slouch either. The music is impeccable, anywhere that has Moses Sumney on rotation knows what's up. The employees are so kind and gorgeous as well. They have a small selection of BIPOC-authored books for sale. It's on a pretty, quiet street. Do I need to go on or have I sold you yet?

Yelp
Really adorable coffee shop with communal tables, chairs off to the side, bar and outdoor seating. Seems like a great place to get work done or catch up w friends. The service was kind and efficient. The butterfly latte is cute, uncaffeinated, and perfectly sweet and cozy

Yelp
This place is such a gem. First of all, it's so beautiful and calming; I got a lot of work done. I've been here twice: once for an refreshing raspberry lemonade and once for a chai and a green chile and cheese croissant, which was even better than it sounds. The baristas were kind and helpful and I love that they have a little collection of children's books by BIPOC authors for sale. I don't really drink coffee, but I can already tell I will be a regular.

April C.

Yelp
Yves has a gorgeous interior with even more gorgeous beverages. The coffee is excellent, and the baristas are warm, friendly, and helpful. Their tartines are lovely and euro-inspired. Lots of natural light and comfy seating, but even when I can't stick around I always make it over for a to-go drink!! Highly recommend.

Eden A.

Yelp
One of my favorite local cafes! Love the ambiance and seating, and there are some nice light food options too.

Yelp
Not that impressed with the vibe! Owner is seems to be chilly! I Rather take my business else where! I accidentally split my coffee at the counter! Those plastic lids are hard to put on! Another customer said it almost happened to her! She explained that to the owner! The owner still seemed to have a chilly attitude! -Maybe, because they had to make me another drink! I would have paid for it, if they hadasked me to! I sat down and finish my coffee! I did not feel welcome so I won't go back!
