This is a hidden gem. The food was made fresh and very tasty. The prices were fair. We thought we were lost at first since it is in a building complex. We were so glad we asked if we were at the right place! My daughter had the avocado toast. It was yummy! My son had the egg sandwich with bacon. It was a large portion, and the flavor was on point! I had the kimchi fried rice. It was a huge portion, very tasty, and delicious!

The food here is absolutely delicious and a wonderful surprise - affordable, good portions and very fresh, also! Highly recommend the bowl with the vegetable dumplings and noodles and salad - also, the kimchi was so good! My only regret is that I didn't get to eat here more than once. It's a bit hard to find (ask the building concierge) and the ambience is a bit lacking (feels like a cafeteria) but the food is so good - you will not be disappointed!

A great place with kind service and really, really yummy food :) we got their kimchi fried rice and their spicy pork bowl, and it was so delicious!! their portions were big, and we left the cafe feeling full and satisfied. great place to get a quick korean food fix! :) *quick note: finding their cafe is a little tricky… enter the building and then head to the elevators on the left hand side. take it down to b1 and then turn right and head all the way down to find the cafe on the right hand side. its kind of hidden but definitely worth the stop! thank you!!

*I’ve already reviewed this place on my own, but am now doing it on behalf of my husband because he really wants to give them a review but doesn’t want to do it himself.* You get big bang for your buck at this place. They give you nice big bowls with very flavorful food. So far I’ve tried the Kimchi Fried Rice and the Dumpling Bowl and both were delicious. My goal is to try every one of their bowls. Also the owners are very sweet

Wonderful mom & pop restaurant inside the Resources & Conservation Center Bldg. at 1400, 16th Street, NW., DC.  You've got to take the elevator to Room B110.  Don't let the construction deter you the restaurant is worth the minor inconvenience.  We ordered their great breakfast.  However, it seems their specialty is unique fresh salads & rice bowls.

This was a really great find in the basement of an office building🤣 We wanted to grab a quick breakfast and saw so many good reviews of this mom&pop shop. The dumpling bowl was sooo yummy (esp the beef dumplings) and portions are huge! The sauce that came with it was so good! wish we had gotten the kimchi fried rice too! 100% recommend if u r in the area! Enter the building and take the lift behind the concierge, turn right and you’ll see the tiny cafe at the end of the hallway. There’s some construction going on this month)

And the price was good 👍 I’ll definitely go back again. Food is authentic and DELICIOUS 😋

I was visiting DC when I searched on Google for places to eat. Early bird cafe showed up and I was so happy to find a place that has authentic flavors and is also affordable. I ordered the spicy pork bowl and for a spice lover like me, it did not disappoint. The couple that works there are also very friendly.

Yelp
This has changed to Hannah's. So I want people to know the restaurant is still here, but it will be a different owner than before. I had a rice bowl with chicken, which was good. I decided to eat in. The proprietor brought me out a small dessert to celebrate an upcoming Vietnamese holiday. That was an unexpected and nice touch.

Yelp
A cute little cafe at the basement/ garage level of an office building. There are multiple businesses within this large building so I imagine various people pop down here for breakfast and/or lunch. They close during the afternoon (I think 2) so don't plan burning the late night oil and popping down here for a bite. There was just one woman working taking orders and making the food and she was kind. I got the chicken teriyaki bowl which has rice, lettuce, tomatoes and probably some other things I'm forgetting about. Overall it was sufficient and satisfying. The chicken could've used a little more seasoning and I added sirracha to give it a little more pop. Overall, I think this is a good place to pop into if you're already in the building. Enjoy!

Yelp
A new favorite grab-n-go breakfast spot of mine. Earlybird is an actual hidden gem located in the basement of an office building. The cafe is cute and clean. It's run by an older Korean couple who are super sweet. I'm a big fan of their protein plate. It's a lot of protein for only 8 bucks! Their bowls and salads are good too. I haven't tried their coffee, but my friend likes to grab their morning cup of Joe here.

Yelp
Early bird cafe has delicious Korean and American food. It's located right inside the busy 1400 16th St NW office building on the B1 floor (at the end of the hall). They are great for lunch and breakfast. My favorites are their vanilla lattes, iced vanilla cold brew, their A.B.L.T (has avocado in it), the dumpling bowl, and their Japchae noodles (my absolute favorite). I love Korean food, but their American items like sandwiches and bowls are equally as good. My coworkers love the grilled cheese, tofu salad bowl, and the chai vanilla latte. Definitely recommend!

Yelp
A small family run business on the basement of an office building. Just husband and wife working. They are so sweet and diligent in their work. Food is really delicious, and coffee was surprisingly really good too (got the large cappuccino). I got the protein plate for late breakfast, and it filled me the entire day. So great. A lot of condiments and utensils are self-serve, which is convenient for a quick, quiet meal. Recommend & please support!!!!

Yelp
Great food and customer service! This cafe offers a wide selection of menu items from salads, sandwiches and warm bowls. I had the spicy pork bowl and it had a hint of smokiness like what you'd get from a Korean Barbecue restaurant. Their detox potion smoothie is a must-try!!

Yelp
this is a great family run lunch spot. you won't be disappointed with the pesto panini, breakfast sandwiches, or any of the korean bowls.
