#fatjared say...the prices make you think you're getting special amazing food, when in reality this is about as basic of flavors as you can get. Might be a better dinner spot, but for brunch it is lacking HARD.
The location is super cool. Tucked away just south of downtown in a very cool area. Walls are all old stone, and it's a very cool vibe inside.
The menu actually looked good. Some cool things, there pitch is definitely to have everything hand made in house or get stuff from local people, so it's great to know you're supporting Nashville when you go.
The service was good, playlist was awesome with some fun throwbacks, and not too loud inside either.
Then it went downhill. First off, it would have been nice to have an actual menu I could hold and take a picture of. Pretty annoying I am still having to scan a QR code.
Now to start the biscuits were good, and I could tell they were made from scratch. Local honey was tasty, hard to not have good jelly also, but with an order of biscuits it is what I would have expected. Nothing unique.
We ordered a side of bacon. Again came from a local butcher, and 3 slices came out that had been cooked. That's it. Other places if you have a side of bacon they add a different flavor or try to make it their own, but not here. Just 3 pieces of bacon that I could have bought for $1 at wal mart.
The fried chicken sandwich had good flavor, but too much breading on it. Tender and juicy yes, but a different side other than fries would have been nice.
The burger tasted like in-n-out. Literally if I had done a blind tasting I would not have been able to tell a difference. Nothing besides lettuce tomato and onion. No special sauce. Nothing out of the ordinary. For each sandwich it was $16 and $15.
This place is overpriced, no uniqueness to a very small and simple menu, and not worth what you pay for. Below average all the way. Not a 1 star review because there was a lot I liked, but yall got some work to do on food flavor.
