Project Juice has been around for awhile, but I just now decided to try it. Don’t get confused, this is just one of the many juice chains currently in San Francisco. As a healthy, natural, gluten free, vegan cafe/juice bar it fills a needed niche.
Sadly this location lacks some of basics you would expect from a trendy cafe. Service was atrocious. The guy at the register in the morning had no excitement, wasn’t knowledgeable about the products, was slow, and couldn’t deliver good customer service. The girl making my food was soooo slow!
The toast I had was ok, but not great. It has good potential, but failed in execution. The bread was not sliced fresh, the nuts were not toasted, and the almond butter ran like honey. It was just bland. She prepared it on a messy table. Nuts were scooped from a gallon container with no idea of freshness.
Sadly instead of a trendy cafe, it was more it was trying to be a fast food restaurant.
