The Best Restaurants in Santa Barbara, According to Eater Editors | Eater LA

"Though carne asada and deep-fried Baja-style fish tacos are bestsellers at East Beach Tacos, the owners incorporate California’s various cultures into a bite. Try the Korean-marinated steak or banh mi tacos with a serving of ceviche or a flavorful rice ball stuffed with spicy tuna on one of the patio picnic tables while sipping from East Beach Tacos’ beer and wine selections. Its namesake proximity to East Beach makes it an easy choice for a day by the shore." - Mona Holmes

We stopped by East Beach Tacos in Santa Barbara on Father's Day with our little family, and it was such a great experience! We got lucky with parking. The lot is on the smaller side but we managed to find a spot without too much trouble. While we waited for a table to open up, my husband got in line to order, so the timing worked out well. Prices were super reasonable, especially for a beachside spot. I had the taquitos and my husband got two tacos and a soda. I don't remember the exact total, but it felt very affordable. The food came out quickly and everything tasted fresh and flavorful. There was plenty of seating at the outdoor picnic tables, even for larger groups, and since it's all outdoors, it seems like a dog-friendly place too. The relaxed vibe makes it a great casual stop, but l wouldn't recommend coming if you're on a tight schedule. It's definitely better to go when you can take your time and enjoy the laid-back atmosphere. Can't wait to come back again soon!

Great seafood tacos and fish and chips close to the beach! The line was very long and the parking situation was a little difficult but it was worth the wait on a Sunday afternoon and did move quickly. We got the fish and chips and triple play to-go, they came with house-made tortilla chips and a spicy sauce; the fish and chips came with delicious tartar sauce and coleslaw. The portions were perfect. We will definitely stop by again when in the area!

If you’re in Santa Barbara and craving delicious tacos, East Beach Tacos is a must-visit! This little taco stand might be small, but it’s packed with big flavors and a menu full of tasty options. Just be prepared to wait—because it’s that popular! On my visit, it took about 25 minutes to order, but trust me, it was totally worth it. One of the best things about East Beach Tacos is the variety. Whether you love seafood, chicken, beef, or even vegetarian options, there’s something for everyone. They even have a kids’ menu, making it a great stop for families. I ordered the Triple Combo, which includes three different tacos: grilled shrimp, spicy tempura, and raw ahi poke. Each one was packed with flavor and freshness. The grilled shrimp was juicy and seasoned just right, the spicy tempura had a crispy crunch with a nice kick, and the raw ahi poke was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. If you love street tacos, this is the perfect place to try! Along with my tacos, I couldn’t resist ordering their homemade chips and guacamole—and I’m so glad I did! The chips were crispy and fresh, and the guacamole was flavorful, and perfectly balanced. It’s the perfect side to snack on. Overall, East Beach Tacos is a fantastic spot for a casual and delicious meal. Yes, it’s busy, but that just means it’s a local favorite!

Google
Absolutely phenomenal place Traveled to California last summer with my family and stopped at Santa Barbara for the day. We decided ti stop for some tacos in the area. So glad we found this place. East Beach tacos is definitely one of our highlights of our trip, it had a unique and friendly atmosphere, the food was quick and amazing, perhaps some of the most authentic and delicious tacos I've had. The location isn't too far either from most of the attractions in Santa Barbara either. Overall, this is definitely a place traveller's must visit to enrich their experience in Santa Barbara

Google
Dope little spot great pricing cool environment and quick service. Tacos were bomb got all the seafood one and a carne asada one. Carne asada and any of the shrimp ones are solid options Guac was good nothing special Ceviche was ok if you really like ceviche can be lack luster. The salsa that comes with the chips though are good but spicy good flavor. Overall cool spot by batting cages

Peter Mulard

Google
The tacos here aren’t traditional and that is a great thing, because they have many takes on different cuisines and flavors. All were delicious and well priced. I will be coming back many times!

Google
Disappointing Experience at East Beach Tacos I don’t understand the hype around this place. East Beach Tacos is severely overrated. The location itself is inconvenient, with a small parking lot shared with a batting cage, which made finding a spot frustrating. We specifically stopped here on our way home to try shrimp tacos, since we missed out on them during our visit to Morro Bay. Santa Barbara seemed like a good bet for great tacos, and with all the high ratings, we had high expectations. Unfortunately, this place was a huge letdown. First, the place was super busy, which we wouldn’t have minded if their system was efficient. But it wasn’t. Orders were being prepared and left sitting in the pickup window while the cashier (and only the cashier) called out names. Why not have the person putting out the food use the microphone to speed things up? The result: food sitting out and getting cold while we waited unnecessarily. When we finally got our food, the shrimp tacos were incredibly disappointing. The shrimp were tiny, and there weren’t enough of them in each taco. While the vegetables were fresh, the tacos felt bare and underwhelming. The carne asada taco was okay—better than the shrimp—but still not amazing. Even the chips were mediocre. Overall, the experience wasn’t worth the 40-minute delay in our trip home. We should’ve skipped this place altogether and stuck with our local spot, Fish Taco Express, which serves way better shrimp tacos. I can’t recommend East Beach Tacos at all. Overrated, inefficient, and disappointing food. Save your time and money and go somewhere else!

Google
Some of the best tacos I’ve ever had. The crispy fish and shrimp are so good. Love the hot salsa. Will be back

Yelp
This taco stand is a hidden gem as you enter Santa Barbara. We pulled off and enjoyed tacos & chips with guacamole, the three taco combo is a great deal. The fish taco was the best - must get and very filling. The location is interesting as it is right next to a batting cage, but did not bother us. Would go back everytime I'm in town!
google avatar

Yelp
Let's taco-bout how good this is Parking is very limited and there's a chance of a baseball hitting your car because the taco spot is right next to a batting cage. You order at the window. Apple pay is accepted. Bathroom is on the side of the taco spot. Triple play tacos- b o m b ! Ahi poke taco, spicy crispy shrimp, and batter up tacos were all yummy Fish + chips- delicious! Crispy battered fish where the batter was not too thick. The tartar sauce was so good, it's like tartar and pico de gallo mixed together so it's not super creamy Craving this now!

Yelp
While visiting some friends, I was told this place should be my first food stop. With the amount of hype around East Beach Tacos, they did not disappoint! I got three Carne Asada tacos and a lemonade to go. When I initially got my box, I was worried I picked up the wrong one. When I opened that box, my heart beat with copious amounts of joy with the amount of food I saw! I've had my fair share of tacos, and these were definitely in my Top 2. The tacos also came with some chips and sauce. Not sure what the sauce went with, but I didn't need them with my food. If you're in the area, make sure you add East Beach Tacos to your list!

Yelp
Overall pretty decent spot. I had the carnitas and asada tacos. we also ordered fries, guac/chips, egg rolls, crispy shrimp tacos, grilled shrimp tacos. The carnitas tacos were average. The carnitas were a little dry but the guac and veggies in the tacos added a little moisture. The asada tacos were better, good flavor. My wife really liked the crispy shrimp. The grilled shrimp was just okay. The egg rolls tasted more like lumpia but still good, would recommend. The fires were hot and had good flavor but could have used more salt/seasoning. The guac has a thin layer of slightly brown guac, but once you took off the top it was green again. I would go back and eat here again. The location is cool too right near the beach.

Yelp
We went to East Beach Tacos mostly because 1) they had delicious looking tacos, 2) kids menu, 3) outdoor seatings which was nice for our dog, 4) a sizable parking lot. It's also next to a batting cage so it's fun to watch people take a swing. I ordered 3 tacos, and the only one that I didn't like that much was the Banh Mi one because the pulled pork was a bit dry. I like how this shop uses bigger tortillas to make it easier to eat without spilling the ingredients but the tortillas didn't seem freshly made. I also think I just prefer corn tortillas too. Overall, a great spot esp for people looking for a family oriented spot to grab a bite and hangout.

Yelp
My go-to spot for tacos in Santa Barbara & hands down the best. I always go for the triple play with carne asada and spicy crispy shrimp--it's consistently delicious. It's the perfect quick bite, conveniently located near East Beach and the batting cages. What sets this place apart is its consistency in taste and quality. Staff are friendly and the relaxed atmosphere adds to the enjoyment, making it a go-to spot for both locals and visitors alike who appreciate great food in a laid-back setting.
google avatar

Sarah K.

Yelp
Pretty good taco stand hidden by the batting cage. The tacos are decent but definitely not the best in the area. It's kind of entertaining to watch the batting cage while you eat, but also not really. Probably won't go back but wouldn't stop anyone from going there.
google avatar

Sandra S.

Yelp
Good deal for the triple play. You can choose 3 tacos from the classic taco list for $11.50. I would come here for the fried shrimp and poke tacos. There are a few other places in Goleta/SB that have your meat tacos that may be more comparable but this is definitely a great spot for your less traditional versions. That being said, the carne asada one that I had was still good and all of three can be without cilantro by removing the pico. There may be a line. Small parking lot. Outdoor seating only. And there are batting cages next to it. Nice walk to the beach.
google avatar

Aliya Y.

Yelp
The perfect pit stop for lunch during our road trip up the coast. The tacos were good but the stand out for me was the ceviche and the snowball (rice ball with poke inside). The kids fish and chips was also a good deal and the fish was very fresh!
google avatar

Kristine H.

Yelp
Despite the non-stop line, the service was impressively fast. The tacos were delicious, and the egg rolls were filling. The triple taco option was a standout. Parking is available, but seating is outdoor only, perfect for enjoying the summer and beach vibes all around.
google avatar

Sheryl S.

Yelp
The long line says it all.... Don't miss these fresh, quality tacos! I scarfed down my ahi poke, banh mi, and crispy shrimp tacos. Delish! Grab some guac and chips to complete the meal.

Yelp
Came here on a trip with some friends last weekend and it was the best tacos I've had in a while! I'd say this is the perfect spot to hang out with friends on a random day because of the batting cages next to the restaurant! There were so many great food items on the menu and ultimately, I ended up ordering the Carne Asada, Chicken and Gangnam Style tacos. I also ordered a side of taquitos that I split with a friend! The service was super-fast! By the time I ordered, my food came out about 2 mins later. The tacos were a great size and was filling! Overall, the carne asada taco was my favorite out of the three tacos and I really enjoyed the taquitos. Additionally, chips and salsa came with my order which was a PLUS! The next time I visit Santa Barbara, I will definitely be back to try the other items on the menu!
google avatar

Fabiana K.

Yelp
One of the best tacos ever. A long line formed after me. The carne asada was my favorite, but the grilled shrimp and battered cod were super flavorful too. All the ingredients were fresh. Seating area was not very big, and it is totally outdoor, but the food makes the line and small seating area worth it. You might think that 3 tacos are a lot for a woman, but trust me, you'll finish wanting more.

Yelp
East Beach Tacos in Santa Barbara exceeded our expectations! We ordered the Triple Play, which included the Batter Up, Ahi Poke, and Grilled Fish tacos, along with The Beach Ball. Each taco was delicious, with the Ahi Poke and Batter Up being our favorites. The Grilled Fish taco was tasty as well, but the corn tortilla fell apart as we ate. Despite the long line, the food was absolutely worth the wait, especially given the price. If you're in Santa Barbara, this is a must-visit spot. Also a perfect place for a quick bite if you're just passing through Santa Barbara.
google avatar

Stephanie A.

Yelp
It's a counter and sit down order kind of place. You order in the counter and they will call your name when food is ready. The food came out quickly as well. I ordered the triple play deal (three tacos for $11.5) and they charged me $1 for one grilled jalapeno and a ceviche appetizer. They only serve one kind of salsa. I think nothing special about this place and make me hurry want to revisit. Everything tasted just okay.
google avatar

Shelby S.

Yelp
Such a fun spot! It's cool to watch people at the batting cages while eating tacos. The options are so unique and everything is fresh. They have a good amount of heat in their spicy tacos. Plus, they have lots of seating choices. There is a small parking lot right next door that usually has spaces open up fairly often. I love the Ahi Poke taco. It comes on a wonton shell, which is delicious. Several people were ordering alcoholic beverages and hanging out, just enjoying the day.
google avatar

Giacomo C.

Yelp
Solid spot. We got here on a Thursday afternoon around 12 and there was no line, but 30 minutes later there were at least a dozen people waiting. Their 3-tacos special is fantastic: 3 tacos of your choice (could be 3 different ones) for 11 bucks! I tried the fried cod (my absolute favorite), fried shrimp (also great), raw Mahi Mahi (very good), carne asada (my least favorite... the meat was s little dry) and carnitas (pretty good). They have communal tables as seats and a spacious restroom. I will be back! Recommended.

Yelp
Our friends recommended us to meet here and play softball and grab tacos and it was pretty great deal three tacos for $6 of our choice. The tacos I would say is okay not too bad but not the very best. I do love my Mexican food so I might be bias. Overall cool stand and nice ambiance.
google avatar

Alayna K.

Yelp
Amazing tacos!! Absolutely loved this place. The tuna taco with the crispy shell was incredible. Solid raw fish that was fresh and amazing. Shrimp tacos were insanely good! Have to try everything next time I come.
google avatar

Karina V.

Yelp
I got the grilled shrimp taco, battered fish taco, and the spicy shrimp taco. I saw a review saying the portions were small, but I didn't think I'd literally be eating coleslaw in a taco with a miniature piece of fish. The asada tacos my boyfriend got were okay; they gave you avocado, but the meat was just decent.
google avatar

Jonathan L.

Yelp
Nice spot for some nice tacos. Came to do a day trip in Santa Barbara and decided to check out this spot. I got the taco trio and got the spicy crispy shrimp, carne asada and the carnitas. The spicy crispy shrimp was by far the best one. Carne asada was aight and carnitas was meh. The price was very reasonable. They were good sized tacos. They come with some chips and some pretty spicy sauce. Definitely a good spice to it. Also tried the ceviche of the day. Decently priced. Comes with a generous portion and plenty of chips. Tasted fine. Parking wasn't too bad, but we did come at like 4pm on a tuesday. Connected to a batting cage. Bathroom was fine.

Yelp
Cheap and amazing tacos here in SB!!! Lots of different flavors to try - highly recommend the ahi tuna tacos with the wonton wrapper and the bahn mi tacos for fusion flavors. Service was pretty good and was only about a 10-15 minute wait after ordering. There is plenty of seating outside but limited parking.
google avatar

Zsanae K.

Yelp
Unique and very Santa Barbara. My bf has been telling me this spot has the best tacos in SB. I finally got to try it. I love the atmosphere it's athletic and unique. We ordered tacos to go. The food was pretty good. Fried fish taco 4/5 Poke taco 4/5 Pico de gallo & chips 3/5
google avatar

Yelp
$11 for 3 tacos - that's a steal in Santa Barbara. I had the grilled shrimp, banh mi, and carnitas and they were delicious. I was particularly impressed with the amount of shrimp they gave and the size of them - great deal. The salsa is delicious but has serious kick - if you don't have a high spicy tolerance, then it's not for you. Parking lot is small, but it turns over pretty quick usually, according to my teammate. Outdoor seating only with a view of the batting cages, which look pretty fun. The tables all include umbrellas which is nice. Our soccer team decided we're gonna start coming here at least once a month post-game. Can't wait to try all of their tacos!
google avatar

Brian F.

Yelp
I saw that East Beach Tacos had good reviews so I wanted to stop by for some food since I was in the Santa Barbara area. There's a small parking lot that they also share with those using the batting cages. This is a casual place where you go to the window to order your food and wait for your name to be called to pick it up. I ordered the triple play ($10.50) which includes three of their classic tacos. This was pretty worth it given that one taco is $4-5 on its own. I got the gangnam style, the spicy crispy shrimp, and the batter up. I liked the meat in the gangnam style, the spicy crispy shrimp was slightly sweet, and the batter up was a standard fish taco. The sizes of the tacos were on the smaller side and were gone in about three bites. The flavors were decent but were on the pricier side given their size.
google avatar

Trinity L.

Yelp
Food is amazing and workers are so friendly. It's always a must every time we come to Santa Barbara!
google avatar

Yuri J.

Yelp
An iconic spot when visiting SB - located near a batting cage which is a fun activity to do after enjoying your meal! Favorite tacos are crispy shrimp and ahi tuna poke. Love the aioli sauce which is creamy and comes with a spice kick. Grilled fish is great too - but loved the fish ceviche more. Pass on the Gangnam style - meat tastes like Korean meat but the seafood tacos are better imo! If you're not feeling tacos, ceviche is another fav. Love how fresh the fish is, with the pico de gallo.
google avatar

Akemi W.

Yelp
This has got to be one of the best taste vs cost places to eat in Santa Barbara. Great value for some great food. The "triple play" (three tacos of your choice with chips) is definitely the thing to get. I was a bit wary of getting raw fish at a place that looks like a stadium concession stand, but the ahi poke taco was fresh and cool. I also got two variations of shrimp tacos which I liked even more. It's outdoors and dog friendly. Lots of "dog friendly" places have a patio where you can eat with your dog, but ordering is a problem. The ordering counter here is outdoors, so Fido can stay with you the whole time. Seating is just outdoors by the batting cages, but it's right around the corner from the beach if you want to take your food for a picnic. I found plenty of street parking nearby. Easy, tasty, affordable.
google avatar

Cindy E.

Yelp
These tacos were suuuuuuperrrr goood! We were cruising around and stopped here to eat and hit the cages. It's in a super lowkey spot & easy to miss as I almost missed it as we were riding by in our bikes. We got the 3 taco deal & they were all super good! I usually don't like anything raw but somehow these tacos changed my mind. Definitely would come back, service was okay as the cash register took a while to take our order since she was talking to people in there but in this case all the good beat the bad
google avatar

Anita T.

Yelp
Fun place to go to grab some tasty tacos. The parking lot can be a pain if going during peak hours. The "triple play" allows you to choose 3 tacos for your choice for about 10 bucks.
google avatar

Sara A.

Yelp
I would love to give this 5 stars because I literally crave the tacos here sometimes, but there are a few things that I feel could be better. Definitely a casual eatery that shares a location with the batting cages. The parking lot can be a bit of a nightmare sometimes and has prevented me from going a few times. The tacos are great. My go-tos are The Batter Up, Gangnam Style, Ahi Poke, and the Bahn Mi. Flavor is great in all of them. They have a discount on 3 tacos for $9, I believe. The tacos come with a small side of tortilla chips and the spiciest salsa I've ever tried - it's too much and I feel like I see most people throwing that away. I do find that I get hungry with just three tacos so I've gotten the coleslaw which is really tasty and the egg rolls which I would love to see more flavor from as they can be a bit bland.
google avatar

Maikhanh H.

Yelp
East Beach Tacos has a very nice ambiance with a nice outdoor seating area and fast and excellent service. The line gets pretty long so we recommend getting there before noon when the busy crowd comes. We got 5 different tacos to try (two triple plays) and 1 starter. The starter was the beach ball which was a rice ball filled with poke and a side of chips. The rice was very dry and lacked flavor and the poke was a bit too mayo forward. The chips however were very good and were accompanied by a fitting sauce that was smoky and tangy. We got grilled shrimp, spicy crispy shrimp, ahi poke, banh mi, and Gangnam style (ranked from best to worst). The grilled shrimp and spicy crispy shrimp was very well balanced, fresh, juicy, and everything you could ask for in a shrimp taco. The ahi poke was very standard and similar to the poke in the beach ball but the garnishes in addition made the taco come together much better. The banh mi taco was alright, felt like it was lacking the banh mi touch, the meat was lacking flavor and felt too chewy at times. The Gangnam style taco was just not good. The flavors were everywhere and nothing seemed to complement each other. I would highly avoid these. However with that said, this is a must try for the shrimp tacos!
google avatar

Teresa A.

Yelp
Had to try this as it was a Tuesday. Whats a tuesday without tacos?? Nice little hidden taco gem in Santa Barbara! I got 2 Batter Up tacos (battered fish) with no Pico de Gallo and chips and guac. Service was quick and efficient. You just go up and order and they call your name when it is ready. There is a eating area between East Beach Taco and a batting cage. Delicious and inexpensive. If I ever found myself in Santa Barbara I would come back!
google avatar

Rachel R.

Yelp
One of my favorite taco places in Santa Barbara. Right next to the batting cages. The grilled shrimp taco may be my favorite with the Bahn mi a very close second. The salsa that comes on the side is so spicy and flavorful it is incredible. Usually a wait, but well worth it. Parking is tough but there is a lot off of Calle Puerto Vallarta, so it's just a quick walk. Seating is outdoors so it can get chilly. Dog friendly. They also serve beer and sake.

Yelp
After yelping places to eat for lunch, my friends and I stopped by East Beach Tacos on Sun 3/12/2023 at around 2:15 PM. This place was packed, and the line was long..but I still enjoyed my experience + food! The Triple Play - 3 Classic Tacos $10.50 (price as of March 2023) I enjoyed all the flavors (I chose the more Asian-y flavors) and felt like the tacos were filling! The Triple Play is definitely priced reasonably and you get more bang for your buck. + Gangnam Style: Korean Style marinated steak, cabbage, cilantro pickled daikon, carrot, cucumber, spicy chili vinegar, East Beach aioli, corn tortilla (normally priced $5) -- I really enjoyed this one. The steak was seasoned well and this taco reminded me of Kogi tacos. + Ahi Poke - raw ahi tuna, napa cabbage, marinated red onion, chili flakes, sesame seeds, wasabi aioli, wonton shell (normally priced $5) --Delicious, def has a sesame oil taste. The ahi poke tasted fresh. + Grilled Shrimp - shrimp, shredded lettuce, pico de gallo, tomatillo sauce, queso fresco, corn tortilla (normally priced $5) --Very good as well, but since I got to this taco last, the corn tortilla was already breaking. They were not skimpy on the shrimp either! Seating: only outdoor long table seating is available and they are facing the batting cages. We came at a prime and busy time so it was hard to grab a table. If you come with a few people, you can split up with some people grabbing a table and some waiting in line for food. Restrooms are available! They were not dirty. Parking: Since the place is basically located at a batting cage, the parking was a nightmare since the lot was pretty much filled. We had to find parking at a nearby supermarket and walk over. All in all, I had a great time! I would still recommend this place.
google avatar

Amanda N.

Yelp
SOOOOOOOO AMAZINGGGGG -- after a three hour drive, this was hitttttingg we each chose three tacos: 2 carne asada, gangnam style, grilled shrimp, spicy crispy shrimp and ahi poke (the poke was okay, we just aren't big on the wasabi flavors!) we also ordered the egg rolls which were stuffed and delicious! they did not skimp on the fillings which is great. service was great as well as ambiance, it's easy to miss right off the freeway but definitely worth the wait. it's busy for a reason! can't wait to have it again
google avatar

Giancarlos B.

Yelp
These crunchy tacos are a home run! Oh man! They are great. Get the "Triple Play" combo with their spicy crispy shrimp, their ahí tuna, and their grilled shrimp and you can thank me later. They also offer different local beers to accompany their dishes and oh you'll want to take advantage of that. If you are in Santa Barbara don't strike out, eat here and win in taste.
google avatar

Yiven C.

Yelp
Great food and prompt! No fuss and very filling! Worth the visit +'s: + Great selections from fried cod to standard to fusion + Shoestring fries and wow I got a lot for $4 + Laidback + Great for groups. Lots of big tables for groups and just those dining in twos or one
google avatar

Yelp
East Beach Tacos is conveniently located next to the beach resort that we stayed at. Decided to check out this place due to its good ratings on Yelp. The taco joint is conjoined with a batting cage and was very casual. We arrived and there was already a line formed. Luckily, it went by very quickly and food was ready shortly after. Honestly, I didn't have much expectations but these tacos were absolutely delicious. My mind was blown. Got the Triple Play - Grilled shrimp, grilled fish, and ahi poke! Wow, everything tasted so flavorful and fresh. My favorite has got to be the ahi poke because of the crispy puffy rice-like wonton skin as a substitution for tortilla. It totally reminded me of the ones I ate in Hawaii! I sampled some of my friends' tacos and they were equally as good. Happy I got to try East Beach Tacos and would come back when I'm in SB again.

Yelp
We both ordered the Triple Play. My husband had one Ahi tuna taco, one asada and one carnitas. He only really the Ahi tuna because it was full of fish and had good flavors and the other tasted generic and tasted the same. I also had a Triple Play. I ordered two grilled fish and one grilled shrimp taco. You can order a lettuce wrap instead of tortilla which I tried with two of my tacos. My shrimp was too salty but flavorful and there was not much. The grilled fish was the most disappointing because the fish pieces were so small. One piece of fish was probably one tablespoon of fish. The price is cheap (10 dollars for 3) but it's not worth it because the grilled fish was tiny. There is cute outdoor seating and the tacos are best eaten fresh. We were here on Thursday when there was flooding in the area and this was still packed with patrons. I think their best taco here is the Ahi tuna. Service is friendly and fast. We called for pick up and it was ready in about ten minutes.

Emma C.

Yelp
Delicious tacos right by the beach and zoo! Quick service and plenty of outdoor seating. Got the grilled shrimp, grilled fish and carne asada tacos. The shrimp was my favorite!
google avatar

Max G.

Yelp
East Beach offers a variety of tacos. We ordered the Triple Play, so we could try different varieties. The tacos were good, but not great. We had a beef, a chicken, and a shrimp taco. Seating is available outside and they share a small parking lot with a batting cage park. The staff is helpful and friendly.
google avatar

Sanjeet S.

Yelp
What a hoot this place is. I don't know what I expected coming here, but I didn't expect baseball batting cages to be right next door. But the food was a hit by itself (pun intended) Ordered the triple play ( batter up, carne asada, spicy crispy shrimp) No copmlaints. The batter up and shrimp were both light and crisp. Lots of pico de gallo so it was very refreshing. The carne asada wasn't the best but definitely not bad by any means. The sauce that came with it was great with a very hint of a kick. The tacos were great, and it coming with chips was even better. Definitely would recommend if youre looking for a taco place.

Yelp
Delicious tacos! Felt like a local cozy spot. Service was quick. We got 2 x triple plays (ahi tuna, batter up, spicy crispy shrimp, grilled fish, grilled shrimp tacos) and the beach ball - all great!

Yelp
Great tacos and fast, plus close to the highway. It's a great road trip meal. All customers seemed pleased

Yelp
I got 3 fried cod fish tacos that were good. Service is okay with one window for ordering and one for pickup. Ambiance is batting cages and picnic tables so I got it to go. I ate at by the ball field close to the beach even though it was a gray day.

Yelp
This place is a fun spot that changes a traditional taco. The tacos were pretty good, if you are into seafood I highly recommend any fish one. The fried and the grilled fish were bomb. The wonton shell for the poke was a great added touch for the crunch! The service was great and provided the food within 7 minutes! Be prepared for longer lines and being outside near a loud train and batting cage. Seating is limited and a bit dirty. The food is worth the try but be prepared for limited seats and parking

Yelp
Waited 20 min in line to order and another 8 ish minutes before we got our food. We were luckily able to find seating on one of the benches since our party was small. We got the Triple Play for the three tacos deal! I got Gangnam Style, The Banh Mi, and Grilled Fish. The tacos were good but would've been better if they stayed warmer for longer. Since it's all outdoor seating, the food cooled down pretty quickly so that might affect your experience. The egg rolls were very good though! Loved the crispiness of the fried wonton and the meats inside.

Yelp
Probably the best seafood tacos we've ever had -- the spicy shrimp, the ahi tuna hard taco, the battered cod...so amazing. It's an unassuming little hole-in-the-wall spot next to baseball batting cages and a couple blocks from East Beach, but they've got outdoor seating which was filled. Pro tip: get them in to go boxes, and walk down to the beach, and eat tacos in the sand while you hear the waves crash...
