"In more taproom news, East Brother Beer Co. in Richmond is now home to a brand-new pop-up from two Richmond residents, chef Phillip Mitchell and his wife Kim, the Richmond Standard reports. Mitchell is bringing his style of Louisiana cooking to the taproom every other week on Thursdays, starting May 11. Operating under the fitting name Kim’s Louisiana Kitchen, Mitchell is serving deep-fried turkey sliders, which he shares are brined and seasoned over three days, as well as an all-beef hot dog and fries." - Dianne de Guzman

"The Bay Area craft beer scene has a tendency to run all IPA all the time, so it’s nice to have a brewery like East Brother Beer, one of the few local breweries that puts a major focus on craft lagers and pilsners, including a series of popular seasonal lagers. Its supremely family-friendly space — with big communal tables, ping pong setup, and old-school arcade games — is currently closed, but the brewery is doing curbside pickup from 2 to 7 p.m., and it’ll also ship its beers to anywhere in California." - Luke Tsai, Janelle Bitker

Great service, ambience is relaxing, did not have the food but I'm sure Mr. Dim Sum is good. Beer is delicious. Needs more RAZA present. Visited after a hike in Richmond and relaxed for about 2hrs. A few customers may have had one too many beers. I was not comfortable with their comments but I went there for me and ignored the ignorant population. It is what it is. Like I said the place can use more gente present.

Google
Excellent brewery, better beer. The Bo Pils is the SF Bay standard for local pilsners (come @ me Trumer), and the Red Lager and their rotating seasonals will keep you coming back to the counter for more. I strongly recommend grabbing a beer, a bite from the food truck, and lounging outside with friends or a dog.

This brewery was recommended to us by some folks in Marin. We were in the area and happened to stop by their anniversary party. Firstly, the beers are delicious! The staff and vibe are also nice. It is also cool that they have food trucks on the weekend. Thanks to the staff for taking great care of us. We shall return.

Great tasting beer and a cool venue. I had a small issue and the guy serving us on Sunday, Dec 1 (sorry, didn't catch his name) "made it right" and I really appreciated that. Food truck was "Curry and Combo" and Sunny (owner?) was incredibly helpful with menu advice. My son and I split the naan crispy sandwich and it was delicious! As were the fries. Big portions as well. The not-too spicy fries were a perfect pairing with the East Brother beer! New grandson enjoyed it as well. Two thumbs up for the brewery and the food truck 👍👍

I enjoyed my first visit to East Brother Beer’s taproom on Canal near historic Point Richmond. I like the quiet location and ample parking. The employees we encountered were welcoming and very chill. They have an excellent sound system, the volume was just right. The taproom is a large high-ceiling indoor space with tables with benches and chairs and there is an ample outdoor space. The prices are excellent. I tried a four flight sample of non- IPA brews. I was looking for some of the seasonal varieties but that just means a return visit for more tasting.

Google
Great tap room. Tons of seating, great open floor plan. Arcade games, pool & ping pong. They also had a food truck outside when we were there. The staff was friendly and attentive. The beer was OK, nothing really stood out a ton for me, but I'd go back if I was in the area for sure.

Yelp
I follow Sitha's Khmer Kitchen on their IG page. I often see her posting as a food vendor here at East Brother Beer Company. This will be our first time here, East Brother has 14 different variations of beer made in house . I recall they do sell by the keg too. I forgot the gentleman's name who helped us at the counter. He was amazing , friendly and engaging. he had us tried different samples of beer. While also educating us on the different taste and ingredients. My husband liked their Gold Ipa and Red Lager . With that we purchased a few mugs to gulp with food we ordered from Sitha's Khmer kitchen . Her beef kreung sticks and chicken sticks goes so well with the beer of choice . We had a great time with a friendly competition of pool and adult size connect four. Family & pet friendly, indoors & our door seating available with string lights and a fire pit . Follow their website to get updates on different food truck vendors , events and locations where buy their products . https://www.eastbrotherbeer.com/beer

Yelp
Shortly after arriving to meet up with friends at East Brother Beer Company (EBBC) one asked "how'd you ever hear of this place?" So off the beaten path that one would never just stumble upon it, EBBC is nonetheless known by many. I arrived at 4:15 on a weekday but by the time I left a couple of hours later almost all tables were filled and it was obvious that, despite the location, word is out. You will come to EBBC knowing where you're headed and park in a large lot. Signs point the way towards EBBC once you're parked and you'll find it located on the side of a very big single story structure. A food truck may be present but you can also bring food in from outside. EBBC has both indoor and outdoor seating, board games, and a pool table. It's a big space in a bigger space, with huge vats within view and a menu of beer only. They are quite generous with the samples, allowing one to find the perfect selection for their tastes. Even I, a non-beer drinker, found one I could consume and I enjoyed it enough to return for a second (mini, $3) glassful. Even though I'm not a beer drinker there was really nothing I didn't enjoy about EBBC until, 90 minutes in, when a group of undisciplined school-age kids came in to celebrate. They were loud, out of control, and running all over the place and it made it impossible to enjoy the space any longer. Worse was knowing that the kids where related either to the owner or a worker who was allowing this behavior. If you like beer and breweries you'll like this sort of secret spot. I really did until the kids arrived.

Yelp
After lunch over at Pt. Richmond, our next stop was East Brothers for some beer. Having tried and enjoying their oatmeal stout, I was looking forward to this brewery visit. It's located in an industrial area on Canal Blvd. and a signage on the road points you into a driveway road to where the brewery is located. Park in the lot at walk up a path at the back to where East Brother is located. We got here shortly after it opened at 3pm on a Wednesday. The taproom is in a nice, large warehouse building with many picnic tables and bar tables for you to enjoy your beers. You can see the large beer stills on the other side of the tap room area. We walked up to the counter and checked out the 12 beers that they were pouring. There were ales, pilsners, IPAs, lagers and two stouts. I was going to order the oatmeal stout but saw they were offering a Russian Imperial Stout. The pourer said it was a seasonal beer and offered a taste. It was so bold and smooth. I was getting a pint of that! She said most taprooms pour the Russian Imperial Stout in 8oz glasses, but they pour 12oz. Nice! We parked ourselves at one of the tables and enjoyed our beers. The Imperial Stout was so good that I bought a four pack to bring home. I liked the taproom vibe and as a stouts and porters lover, the loved the offering here. I will be returning to East Brothers.

Yelp
This spot is a little hard to find at first, it's kind of at the back of an industrial area. However, once you get there it's a cute, open air brewery with indoor and outdoor seating. Also it's dog friendly! I had the oatmeal stout for st Patrick's day which was a delicious dark beer that almost tasted like a mocha. This place is definitely worth a visit, especially on a sunny day.

Greg C.

Yelp
I live in the area and saw this place out. It was a little hard to find that first because it's in the back of some warehouses and you would almost think that there's nothing back there but once you get there, it's really nice big warehouse space with lots of seating and sun Food trucks comp provide food and the beer they brew is really nice. I recommend it.

Malissa N.

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem. Completely hidden and tucked away. I never been here before and this place is a complete surprise. It's like an ideal backyard hang out. There's places to play games have a little bit to eat inside the room to socialize indoor and outdoor. The Gold IPA & BO PIL DELISH! I had the honor to spend a Yelp event here. I can Not wait to come back and host a team building with my work team. This is a must check out location! Thank you for the amazing vibes and beers! cheers

Dawn L.

Yelp
The beer is great and cold! When you order you will get a nice full glass!!! Love it! There was a food truck outside, but I wasn't hungry :) about $15 a platter. It looked like good food from what I saw! There was a lot of games (Jenga, beanbag toss) and board games!!! So fun to meet new people through a game!!! The venue was large! A lot of really good snacks: popcorn, cookies and cupcakes, plus candy on the tables! I will totally refer this venue and the beer!!! Actually saw beer at another place 2 days ago! Big restrooms and Huge parking lot!!!

Krystal A.

Yelp
This is a great hangout spot! My sister, friends, and I enjoyed the environment - great music, excellent customer service, and a vast selection of beers. My sister and I are not the biggest fans of beers but the workers were super nice and helpful and helped us choose a nice light, fruity beer which we loved. They have canned beers as well as on tap. Nice big open space with lots of seating inside and outside. There was also a food truck outside that had a great selection of foods to pair with our beers perfectly. The parking lot is huge so plenty of parking. The brewery is tucked away on the side but they have signs to guide you. Would love to come back here to try more of their beer selection and simply for the fun, lively atmosphere (:

Kelley K.

Yelp
Wow! How did we not know this place existed! Super Fun. And no doubt the most delicious beer I have ever had! I don't think I ever have drank 3 beers in the same day. Definitely not in a row! Prohibition! Delicious! So many fun things to do here too!

Andrew S.

Yelp
Mmmmmm decent selection of beer, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and friendly staff. They even have some arcades and pinball which is awesome! I personally like the Tripel and the summer lager currently!

Tiffany H.

Yelp
East Brother Beer Company has a nice industrial vibe. Very spacious and a chill ambiance to catch up with friends or destress with coworkers. The blonde ale is pleasant and easy to drink for people who usually don't like beer, while the gold IPA is a good choice for the IPA drinkers. They also have games you can play with! Downside is that this place can get a little chilly, so bring a jacket!

Lawrence C.

Yelp
I came here for a Yelp Elite event some time ago, where we were given some beers and food to eat while watching a video interview with the people behind the East Brother Beer Company. From what I could tell, they are extremely passionate about beer and it was fascinating to listen to how they hone their craft. It was a unique experience, and I am really glad that Yelp was able to organize it for us! For this event, we were sent three beers: Bo Pils, Gold IPA, and a Red Lager. We also received some pretzels, chickpeas, and nuts to have on the side with them. Although I am not really a beer person, I can definitely tell that their beer is high quality. Unlike other beers that I've had in the past, these ones were extremely smooth and actually tasted pretty good (not like some nasty ones that I've had). I think the side snacks were from a nearby restaurant, but those were also great and had nice flavors to them. Overall, if you are a fan of beer I think that you'll really enjoy this place! Even for non-beer lovers, I have to say that their quality is solid.

Melissa V.

Yelp
We like it here. It's dog friendly, has good beer and good food trucks. The indoor/outdoor space is always nice to experience. There was a DJ there last time we were there, and he was playing music much louder than the crowd called for, but other than that, the vibe is always lively. Bonus: they have super soft hoodies for sale!

Cody H.

Yelp
Loved the ambiance of this place. It's a healthy mix of all types of people. The staff was friendly. The beers were tasty. We enjoyed utilizing the board and card games available. Heat lamps and outdoor space also available. The food truck didn't have vegetarian options so we didn't try that out.

Jillian P.

Yelp
Go-to brewery + taco truck for big group meet-ups. East Brothers has become a weekly watering hole for friends with babies and fur babies! The large space has plenty of covered patio seating to accommodate boisterous crowds without feeling cramped. The selection of beers on tap is diverse and crowd pleasing, and the Santa Torta taco truck provides the perfect nibbles to fuel your evening. Make sure you try the elote and churros! You can thank me later ;)

Liz B.

Yelp
Enjoyed this spot so much! Even though I'm not much of a beer drinker, I loved getting to have a sampler of the beers and sours. It was fun tasting and trying out the different flavors. The atmosphere was also perfect! Dog friendly, huge patio area inside and out to sit with some games and a food truck outside. Perfect on a sunny day after work or when you want to chill with family or friends. Friendly service and plenty of parking!

Edward A.

Yelp
Great hang out with friends and family. Great experience of a Richmond located brewery

Francisco G.

Yelp
Maybe good fr locals, came from Clayton and had a hard time finding the place, I think is unsafe to b there late, leave early, the IPA I had was excellent though

Cynthia B.

Yelp
What an awesome brewery. Many beer options. I forget what I got but it was delicious. Great bartender. Great DJ, great bar back. Plenty of parking. Curry location, very cool. Pro tip. Poor cellphone service In This are so look at driving directions closely before you leave the house. I'll be going back. Five strong stars.

Jennifer P.

Yelp
Amazing Nigerian food truck "Sweet Mother 101" with gluten free, dairy free cuisine here at the brewery today. The chef was genuinely kind and thorough as he vetted the ingredients of the dishes offered. I savored/devoured the Jollof rice plate with Suya chicken. It came with cucumber salad and plantain side dishes. It was a big portion size, beautiful presentation and delightful flavors. The ambiance and music in the brewery made this a lovely date. Highly recommend this for lunch or dinner. If your sweetie likes Mexican food, I think they'll be smitten with these flavors. Thank you for a wonderful and safe experience! Also: my partner appreciates their friendly, knowledgeable staff and loved their flights of beers. I'm the sober, celiac girlfriend. I'll come again for the food while he returns for beer.

Yelp
I LOVE East Brother Beer Company for so many reasons: First off, the beer is on point. The flavors range from light crisp pilsners to medium malty ales to dark bold stouts - one of my favorites is their award-winning Oatmeal stout. But really, different palates will appreciate any of their high quality beers. Highly recommend going to the nearby Anaviv's Table to get some of their tasty appetizers or mains (heard their farm to table meals and wood fire pizzas are good) and getting a variety of East Brother beers (Gold IPA, Red Lager, Red IPA, Bo Pils, Oatmeal Stout and their seasonal winter Imperial Stout) to have some delicious pairings. Secondly, their venue was crackin' especially when we had a Yelp Elite Halloween party there- they pulled out all the stops to make it extra special. Can't wait till we can hang out there again! Third, their staff is simply awesome. I had recently purchased a 6 pack of beers and Steven had agreed to meet me at the brewery earlier than his usual shift to give my order since I was already going to be in the area. How awesome is he? I love how I can find their beers in my local grocery store and have the option to purchase some online for pickup or delivery. Look forward to trying more of their seasonal beers!

Sidney S.

Yelp
"What were they thinking? 'It's an alien apocalypse! Quick, grab the beer!" ― Rick Yancey, The 5th Wave Sidney Goes Local Part 3! When it's a pandemic apocalypse, grabbing a beer (and birria tacos) is a must. This is a few minute drive from where I live so decided to check it out one Sunday afternoon. It is a bit hidden in an industrial area but still easy to find. They are doing COVID well here with reservations, check in procedures, outdoor seating spaced far apart. They also have a great partnership with the third food truck of La Santa Torta. East Brothers staff seats you, gives you a menu, brings your beer or flight takes your order and the food truck staff brings you the food. Very efficient. I did a flight that included the Red Lager, Bo Pilsner, Gold IPA and Baltic Porter. My favorites with good balance and refreshing flavor were the Lager and IPA. I also enjoyed the Porter very much. I was surprised at how much I hated the weak and watery pilsner. I came here to East Brothers based in part on a recently reading an article on America's Best Beers 2020, listing this beer, and I was shocked anyone would call this one of America's best beers. The other three I had were much better. I bought a 4 pack of the Lager. Highly recommend East Brothers in spite of the Pilsner. With COVID running rampant with or without aliens, we will all need more beer ;-) (Just not that pilsner)

David C.

Yelp
Great beer , nice location, kinda a hidden gem, Nice open area, great service friendly vibe. Taco truck was delicious , I really liked the Bo Pilsner. Definitely a nice beer. Great place to hang out after work or on the weekends. I even picked up a growler to go!

Fred T.

Yelp
Okay I get it. Everybody loves their IPA's. And they can be quite tasty. But for a true measure of a brewers skill you really have to look to their Pilsners. Pilsners, much like say a margarita pizza, represents the genre at its finest. A Margarita pizza is a pie at its most basic. It is impossible to hide poor ingredients or technique. There is nothing to mask it. The same goes with a good pilsner. The quality of the ingredients, the skill of the brew master all come into play. The heavily hopped IPA's lets you get away with many a sin that would otherwise ruin the crisp taste of a Pilsner. Bo Pils is a perfect beer for a hot day, wait scratch that..... For any day. While it does not get to ridiculous IBU levels the hops are there to enjoy. Its has a citrusy mouthfeel and nice lingering finish of the hops. If they can make a Pilsner this impressive the rest of the beer should be awesome!

Bellea M.

Yelp
I love this local brewery in our neighourbood. We've hiked up and over the hill to get here in the past but after doing that once, I prefer driving there. I am not a huge beer drinker so I appreciate that they have taster size glasses available. I can finish an 8 oz glass than a full pint before it gets warm. They also offer flights so you can try a variety of brews. My favourite is their Bo Pils. We have been here at least a dozen times or so over the years. They are family friendly, dog friendly, and that is usually food truck parked outside. The trucks change up regularly so there is always something different to check out. It's a great place to meet up with friends and they can accommodate a larger group of people (10-12) at one table. They host different events throughout the year. In this instance we attended their 4th annual vintage car show located in the parking lot outside the building. The event was well attended and people were enjoying the music and looking at the various cars. Photos are mainly taken at the car show.

Christian T.

Yelp
Great beer, awesome people, fun location. Everyone should stop by and try a little. Lots of choices to choose from

Patty P.

Yelp
Went to East Brothers for a special occasion on Friday night and really loved it! There was a great outdoor space, a food truck, and plenty of seating inside with space between yourself and other guests. The beer selection was great! I had the Bo Pils and the Fest Bier, both were delicious. The food truck outside had amazing food and overall the vibe was perfect for a special night exploring Richmond.

David N.

Yelp
Stopped in for the La Santa tacos and sat down at the bar. There was a birthday party going on and I asked about reserving space for an event. Beertender Brooks (no e) served me up a Diet Coke and chatted with me a bit. She knows really a lot about beer. Even though I'm not a bIg drinker, I found it pretty interesting. I asked about reservations for a special event and Brooks gave me the contact information. You can bring outside food in for a nominal cost. La Santa is there most nights and weekends, so you can make arrangements with them for catering. I'm always looking for a fun place to hold my wedding reception!

Nikita G.

Yelp
We've been to this brewery twice (attending Yelp events). They def deserve a shoutout for their beers and friendly service! They also have food trucks on most days. I would recommend checking their IG to see which food trucks might be around on the day you're visiting!

Sarah R.

Yelp
Off the beaten path but absolutely worth the trek! They have a fantastic open-air, high-ceiling warehouse space with large wooden tables for indoor seating and ample outdoor tent-like seating as well. The vibe gets a 10/10 with the industrial lighting, simple colorful menu, and stacks of canned brews serving as walls. They just started brewing a Double IPA and it was one of the best IPAs I've had! Very smooth, crisp, refreshing, with a hoppy bite but not too bitter or dank at all. They also had a fantastic food truck (I believe La Santos Tacos?), were we got veggie birria tacos that were lightly fried and pressed so they were similar to a taco-quesadilla blend that I really think should become a thing, because it was a melt-in-your-mouth bomb! The elote cup was also fanatstic - a corny, cheesy delight with a hot cheeto garnish. Both had a tiny bit of a spice kick. I will definitely be back for both the brews and food!

Chris L.

Yelp
Crazy location but worth the search! This is perhaps the most obscure location of any brewery I have visited. You wind your way around the refinery equipment, then you go to a loading dock, then you go around the loading dock and then you finally find the Brewery. It's actually quite large inside. The Tap Room is right next to the brewing equipment, so you can see the brewmaster at work. There's a surprisingly large outside game area as well. You can play bocce ball. The internet in this area is pretty bad, but the brewery has free wi-fi. The password is up on the front board. I should mention they also have a ton of games to play with. Some of them look pretty complicated. I ordered a Red Ale for $6, which was promptly served up and which which was excellent. So it's worth the investigation to find this place. It's obviously popular with the locals and I enjoyed my visit. As I was writing my review, many cars were pulling up into the parking lot. A lot of people looking forward to guzzling beer I think.

Joseph T.

Yelp
This place is great! It's tucked in the hills near Marina Bay. We just discovered it a few days ago and really glad that we did. Great beer and they have food trucks parked outside when you get hungry. The staff was super friendly and helped us with our beer selection. This is definitely a place that we're going to go back to.

Jasmine L.

Yelp
Came here for a Yelp Event and I never knew this place existed, There is a sign on the Main Street that will point you to the entrance of the brewery cause we had a little problem using google maps but its easy to find once you see the sign. Birria Tacos- OMG, I always had a love for taco trucks in general but man this place takes the cake. They have elote w/ hot Cheetos on top- BOMB and the tacos are so crispy and juicy. East Brother Beer Company- had a lot of nice beers, I don't really like beer but honestly they had a really good selection and a lot of rich tasting beers. My favorite was the

Alejandra F.

Yelp
Great great place!! Very good for families, people can bring their kids and dogs too, they have food trucks also to complete a very good afternoon with friends. Location is a little complicated but totally worthy. Don't worry about getting lost because you will have a very fun time.

Veronica C.

Yelp
I already can't wait to go back here. East Brother has lots to offer. They've got it all - a family friendly environment, tons of space brewery, good beer, friendly staff and games. Not to mention ample parking, outdoor seating and a huge indoor area. Beers are cold and tasty. They have everything from Pilsners, stouts, and IPAs - all of which were delicious. Standard brewery pricing. A flight of 4 was only $10. Pints for $8-$10. The staff members were friendly. They took their time providing tasters to ensure that each person would find something they liked. When not tending the bar, they would circle around the area checking on the patrons. Staff noticed my group of nieces and nephews and thoughtfully brought over games for them. Also, they are a dog friendly brewery. I saw many families and pets enjoying the day. While other establishments state that they are "family friendly," East Brothers really exemplifies it through their welcoming attitudes and by providing activities for the whole fam. Although it is important to note- there is not a kitchen inside, instead there was a food truck outside. Not sure if they rotate food trucks but other reviews suggest that they do not (which is fine because the tacos were bomb). Still, we will be back with the whole family and the pups!

William W.

Yelp
Great spot to spend an afternoon. Biked up here from Oakland and they had bike parking there (wish they had a better rack though). I had the English pale (only available at the taproom) and the imperial stout, oth were great. Service was good and there are shaded outdoor seats, ping pong and arcade games, lots of seating inside (with big garage doors open to outside), plus some live music. There's a great taco truck that parks there too. Definitely worth a visit! They also make the best Pilsner I've had.

Shirene B.

Yelp
This brewery can be a little hard to find but they do have signs pointing you in the right direction. The parking lot is huge and so is the space inside. I've been here for Yelp Events and had a ball. I've recently gone when outdoor dining was open per COVID-19 protocols. I made a reservation and was sat outside at a table that was more than 6 feet away from the next. A staff member came and took our beer and La Santa Torta order. Service was great and they clean all table surfaces after each guest. I asked about a limited beer called Black Is Beautiful and they said they had finished the keg already. When bringing us our check, the wonderful young lady working that day, brought out a 32 oz growler of what was left of the beer and let us have it. I was truly surprised and appreciative. Since then, I've had my bf pick up their Russian Imperial Stout and it is excellent. I can't wait to go stock up more of my favorites.

Muang P.

Yelp
Had to stop by this local brewery one last time in 2020 before the stay-at-home order sets in. I got a flight with all four seasonal beers. As per usual, amazing! Until next time, cheers!

Greg C.

Yelp
This is a good brewery in the Richmond area. It's kind of hard to fine so using navigation is probably your best bet to get here. It's tucked away in the back of a warehouse with plenty of parking and a food truck or two to get a bite to eat to go along with your beers. It is pretty isolated so you can make as much noise as you want and you're not gonna bother anybody. The only downside to the food truck is that you are limited to what food truck is there on the day that you go. As for the beer it's pretty good and worth going to.

Kevin K.

Yelp
Little tricky to find the actual bar, around the corner from the massive parking area. Once you find it though, its a neat spot to enjoy a flight! Good quality beers at a reasonable price. Glad they were on the Contra Costa County Beer Trail.

Arash R.

Yelp
Nicest staff ever! It was our first time there and they were so accommodating and friendly, it was refreshing to see such amazing service and pride! We tried a few and figured out what we want to drink. The beer was great! The food truck serving the greasiest mexican food in the bay area was awesome! If you know what you're signing up for, you can't go wrong! We will come back for sure!

Andrea L.

Yelp
Had a lovely evening here on Wednesday for trivia. Love the views of the hillsides and have always enjoyed their beer. Trivia was a hoot..great host, great music, fun questions. We'll be back.

Mauricio E.

Yelp
The brewery is tucked away but they have good signage to find the location. Plenty of parking in the lot. The brewery is really large and has arcade games, ping pong, board games, and some pool tables. Lots of fun things to do inside! We ordered samplers of almost all of their beer available and wasn't impressed by the majority of them. There were maybe one or two that slightly stood out.

Danielle K.

Yelp
Loved the ambiance, but the beer not so much. Average beers overall, I did like the Gold IPA though. Highly recommend picking up some pasta from the Cosa Nostra food truck!

Not sure how this brewery stayed below this craft beer lover's radar but it did until I dined at a Point Richmond restaurant. Impressed, I couldn't wait to go directly to the source, which did not disappoint. The East Brother Beer Company's Pils and IPA became our summer go-to's. Now we're also including their Stout among our favs. Not only do all of their beers taste great but most are available in convenient cans; great for sharing with friends and taking out on the boat. Breaking news; some of their brews can also be found in Bay Area Whole Foods, which is wonderful because, sadly, I don't live near this great brewery.

Yelp
Wow this brewery is huge - enormous parking lot and plenty of seating inside with lots of wooden benches. It looks like a big warehouse and is located in an industrial area in Richmond, but its actually a very nice area. Stepping out of the parking lot, you'll be surrounded by a forest of trees atop high hills. There is no food served here, though there is the Curbside Kitchen food truck near the entrance. What they do have is six beers on tap, so I managed to sample four of them. I don't like bitter, hoppy beers so I declined both IPAs and sampled everything else. My favorites were the Red Lager (nice crispy and refreshing flavors) and Oatmeal Stout (darker beer but very smooth. I love all types of stouts - chocolate, coffee, coconut, etc.). They have free pool table and ping pong tables on the inside, and bean bag throwing outside. Wonderful place for after-work socializing or throwing big networking events. You can also sign up for a tour of their onsite brewery.

Yelp
Came here for a Yelp Event Halloween party. This part of the East Bay is a bit of a blind spot for me, but I'm glad to know that a nice and chill brewery is over here! It might look a little industrial when you pull in. I arrived in the evening, but thankfully there was an impossible to miss arrow made out of rope light, pointing you to the brewery. There's outside patio sitting, along with a cornhole set up. During the Yelp Event, there was a Taco truck, mobile pizza oven, and table with a marshmallow snack. When you walk into the huge garage door, you'll find plenty of indoor tables, good enough for big groups and side tables for groups of 2 or 3. You'll notice the coin-op arcade on the side with a few classic cabinets. In the opposite corner there was a pool table, I think a ping pong table, and a cabinet of board games that you can play. On the far end is the bar. Being a brewery, they have a lineup of craft beers to choose from. I personally had the Gold IPA. It was nice and strong and surprisingly enough for me for the night, just to be responsible. There was a Red IPA, and I heard a lot of people talking about the Oatmeal Stout. I definitely want to come back and try more. The staff was nice and helpful. I want to come back and check them out on a normal week to see how things are. It seems chill and I'm looking forward to great times here.

Yelp
Got here right around 4pm (opening) on a Thursday and was surprised to see a lot of people there already. Large warehouse vibes tucked into an industrial corner of Richmond. Food truck was stationed outside. I got a half pint of the Russian Imperial Stout $5 (only comes in 1/2 pint portions) and it was delicious! Loved how they used a little water squirt bottle to clean off the sides of the glass before handing it to me. Music was a bit loud (for me) on one side of the taproom, so I sat the furthest away (near the arcade games). Would totally come back here!
