I can't speak to what East Coast Grill was like before reopening under new management this year, but we were very pleased with everything about our meal. The specialty drinks were strong and fitting with the tiki theme. The mahi and the fried chicken were both very good. Highly recommended.

This place was great! I got the half chicken which was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Served over really nice tasting spinach with a side of Mac and cheese. The pumpkin beer with a cinnamon sugar rim was good too. My server was the nicest lady!

I am a MASSIVE fan of the HK (Highland Kitchen) and when I heard that they had bought and re-opened the east coast grille I knew it was a good thing! Great food! I like the BBQ 3 ways, and great beer selection and great staff!! Highly recommend it! and sit at the bar for some great chat!

Coming here I really wanted to be blown away. The reviews were great, the menu looked great, and everything was in line for an amazing meal. However both times I've been here I feel like I have not made the best choices and have second guessed my decisions. I feel like I could go here and have an amazing amazing meal, but each time I've had a good meal, but wishing I had ordered maybe something different. Therefore I reserve my right to switch this to a 5 if I can find that allusive perfect East Coast Grill dish. I came here with my lady friend on a Friday night expecting there to be a long wait, but it took us longer to find parking then to get seated (big plus). We were seated pretty close to the kitchen, which was a bit warm, but still fun to watch the cooks work. I had a scallops appetizer (I believe was a special) It was very good, small, but I look quality not quantity in my apps. I then ordered the pulled pork sandwich for dinner. Now I am a pulled pork connoisseur, I live for pulled pork. This pulled pork was moist, it was a good serving size, but unfortunately it was a heavy vinegar based sauce. I prefer more tomato based sauces or at least not overwhelmingly vinegar based. So if you like a vinegar based bbq sauce this pulled pork sandwich is the way to go, if not, stick with the dry rub ribs. My girlfriend had the Peppered Tuna, which was very well cooked and a good piece of fish. Little too much pepper, particularly for someone with troublesome stomach, but still solid. The second time I went to East Coast Grill I went for the bowl of seafood. Again a good meal, lots of seafood, several different types, but just not amazing. The people I were with had the ribs and seemed to enjoy them greatly. We also had the buffalo shrimp (alright, probably would go with something more unique next time). Things that looked great: anything braised (lamb or pork), the vegetable medley (looked delicious), and the tuna taco. I will be back to East Coast Grill. Their menu is way too interesting to keep me away because of a couple of questionable ordering choices.

I have been here for brunch twice and lunch once and just love it. My friend who doesn't really even eat food ordered a second plate she was so in love. I was first drawn in by the make your own bloody mary bar and was not disappointed. Its a little crowded at brunch because its so popular but we got seated and had a feast. The food is just fantastic and we all ended up sharing because everyone's dishes were so good.

East coast has my favorite dish in all of Boston. Even though they changed management the food quality and environment is preserved (for the most part). The BBQ mixer plate is a must and will change how you think about BBQ. There are good drink options and the place is nice to bring out of town friends for a nice evening.

Awesome seafood! Specials are always great. If you like spicy, this place has it. Try the hell-tini. Scallops are stand-out excellent. Oyster/raw bar very good. Sunday brunch with make-your-own bloody Mary bar is always great, as well.

Mark Romano does it again. East Coast Grill is different and delicious. The food is a mixture of jerk and Caribbean and there is clearly so much thought put into each dish. The flavors are fresh and bright. Highly recommend the tuna poke and the pork belly appetizers. Also, if you have the chance to be served by Joe at the bar, don't pass up the opportunity. The hostesses up front were so sweet and gave us all their suggestions and favorites. Can't wait to go back to try all the things we didn't get to.
