East End Bar & Grill

My roommates and I keep finding ourselves coming back here because of how consistently great our experience is. This time I got the Steak Frites for the first time and it did not disappoint! Comes out on a steaming skillet similar to fajita style so bonus points for presentation! I also got the jerk chicken dry rub wings and they were such a unique flavor that I’ll definitely be getting again! We find them to be reasonably priced for what you are getting and they are big time Syracuse supporters!

It's been a very long time since I was back home. Stopped in here with some friends and family on the first snow you guys had in record-breaking time in January. Steve, Kenny, and Casey and the owner took fantastic care of us. We had a great time. Enjoyed the game and we're welcomed by deep snow on our way out. They allowed us to close the bar with them enjoying the ambiance of a busy bar now empty towards closing except for the strong team of coworkers present. The food was good, the team was great, and the environment was excellent. 10 out of 10 would recommend. The next time I'm back in town I'll see you back on the East End. Sorry it took so long for the review. See you next time.

We really love this place. Awesome setup for watching sports and really yummy bar food. I will say that this would be a 4 star review if it weren’t for Marissa and Vinny. Marissa is seriously the best server of all time. Vinny (bartender) is really nice about accommodating different sports games on different parts of the bar and making everyone happy. We only come on the days when they’re working.

Nice place to catch early EPL game if in New York . Fun to drink Guinness and eat barfood at 11.30 while watching football with locals ( they Call it soccer…)

Wonderful bar that is well organized with great service to watch the football game. They are a ⚜️Saints⚜️ bar or Saints playing. It has at least fifteen screens and fans for different games in each section. Make a reservation as there is no open seating. It has a great ambiance and the place was full of energy but no craziness or chaos. The food is excellent! I appreciated greatly being able to watch the game with a friend and have fun, be comfortable and not be heckled or have any weirdness. I definitely recommend! Went there again and this NOLA lady has found her place! I am bringing everyone here. Everyone is amazing.⚜️

A good solid neighborhood bar. This is what I think of when I think of East End Tavern. This tavern has one of the best espresso martinis in the UES and probably Manhattan. All their bar food is solid . They have excellent sandwiches, burgers and appetizers. Extensive list of wings which is pictured below. This time I went for their espresso martini. I also got two types of wings : Bourbon St and Diablo’s Ghost. Their awesome bartender Vinny asked me why the combo . I said because with really spicy wings , they tend to be a little dry so I usually get a wet sweet wing to cut the heat and provide a little more sauce. Vinny was impressed which made me very happy. The wings and espresso martini were great . I can handle spice extremely well and this wings brought their game. The heat will calm down a little after the wing cools but is still hot . The bourbon wings were a night way to cool it down , with a sweet little bite too then . I do say though use napkins to your advantage . The customer service is also great . Vinny took the time to even let me know the espresso martini will take a little bit since they have to start the machine . Having the conversation about the wing chooses also made me feel very comfortable as I usually don’t eat at the bar alone. The decor is that of a nice neighborhood bar . Nothing fancy but well designed and comfortable . I recommend this place for anyone in the neighborhood to come . Grab a quick meal and some great drinks . The added benefit of when I went was it was Wing Wednesday , two drinks then 1/2 off wings . A solid deal in a pricy neighborhood. Thank you East End . I will be visiting a lot more .

Got friends together for a superbowl watch here, there was a hiccup with the reservation but the owner was super accommodating and helped us figure it out. Honestly, you can see how much he cares about this bar because when things are stressful and there's a thousand orders and people yelling for his attention he still provided amazing service and was super kind. This is a great neighborhood bar, 10 stars.

The wait staff here is really nice and seem to enjoy their work. They are very cordial. I have been there to eat in and had take out. Love their wings. There are many flavor choices which makes ordering a real bad problem to have. The sauces are amazingly good. Makes it so hard to choose just one. I go with my daughter so we get double orders and different sauces. . Definitely a place you want to check out. Especially when a game is on! The beer is pretty awesome too!

Always a great time here. Staff is always attentive and friendly. Drinks and food are tasty. Many tvs to watch any game you need. Bathrooms are clean. Highly recommend :)

Ordered a cheesesteak and fries last week and it was decent nothing crazy maybe I have to give it another go

Came here early to get ready watch Sunday afternoon football...best to get here early as it does get crowded fast! Bar seating and table seating available...but first come, first serve! Each of the tv screens labeled to let folks know which tv will be showing which game...sound was only on the Giants game! There was also tv for soccer (the other football)... Service and staff were good...had drinks, shrimp quesadilla (that was good that I forgot to take a picture....LOL), curly fries and wings. Stayed for the entire 1pm games... then headed out. Common restrooms in the back.. nice bar in the UES. will be back when in the area...

Wings are pretty good here, they have a whole wings section where you can pick from 10+ different kinds of sauces The house salad was a lil sad for $10 The chicken fingers were pretty dry. Fries that came w it were good though. The vibe is.. pretty different from other ues spots, a bit suburby, i felt like I was somewhere in long island.

Let me just say, I've been going to East End for quite a while... you know, back when it was on 1st Ave. The transition to its new location has been different but still an amazing time with good music! The staff is incredible, helpful, funny and amusing. Steve is a work horse who makes the most creative drinks when he has the time. (Try out the Passionate Lover, if you like gin!) When this place is hopping, IT IS HOPPING! You've got spots at the bar with lots of TVs to check out the game and plenty of tables. The food is quite tasty too, and totally shareable.

East End is one of my favorite spots in the city to hang out with friends. I am obsessed with their variety of wings--Jalapeño cheddar is my favorite flavor--and their delicious fried pickles. I am always trying to persuade my partner and friends to go here weekly because I just love it here. The atmosphere and crowd is so diverse and the service is extraordinary. East End is definitely the place to be!

Bartender R was amazing. As were drinks and foods. A/c was perfect and it was just a great time.

Hello Football Sunday Funday Thunderdome! I mean, this spot is fan-freaking-tastic for an NFL infused afternoon. So many TVs. Such great energy from the staff. Grilled wings - cha-ching. Seasonal beers - sign me up. Back bar DJ spinning some beats - why the hell not! I mean, it's a perfect haunt to make Sunday just that much more exciting. Excellent food menu. The wing menu is unhinged in the most epic way. Dozens of flavors that make you wanna have a second stomach. The Godfather Wings are a must. You just gotta go!

Tale of 2 cities: Came in during the 4pm games and they were very hospitable. Helped me and my daughter get a 2 person table immediately. We were eating and drinking. Customers came in before the 8pm game and told me I had to leave my table because they reserved it. Not sure what they were talking about as I didn't see anything that spoke to having to reserve a table. I just left versus dealing with it. Moral of the story - great place but check to see if you have to reserve a table or else it will get uncomfortable. Update - I just learned the person who told me I had to leave works here. Classy. Real classy. Two rating goes to a one. Would go lower if I could given she's sitting here with her foot on the chair.

Used to be one of my favorite places to order out. But they just jacked up all their prices and didn't jack up the quality of their food with it. Ridiculous price gouging restaurant. not worth the extra $.

This is by far more of the cleaner bars I have had the pleasure to patronize. Open space and friendly company who seem to frequent here often. I had the pleasure of meeting a really great bartender. I mean I've met a lot of good ones and shitty ones, but Steven, Amy, Marissa was one the happiest bartenders I've met. Thank you. Luck of the Irish they have. Long story short the booze were plentiful the wings were decadent, the TVS WERE BIG and the camaraderie A-1 I think I found my SUPER BOWL 22' SPOT!

Well, I suppose all good things must come to an end. Started going here with rec league where drinking games are involved. Some of us drink beer, some of us choose to drink water instead. In my group, lots of people always order beer and food as well to boot. Last time we went, I approached the bar and asked if I could have a pitcher of water for the drinking games. The bartender, Vinny I'm told his name was, immediately scoffed and asked if I wanted beer instead. I replied no, water would be just fine. After a sigh, a pitcher was poured and served. Far from graciously. The next time up, when I asked for a water pitcher, I was told by the same bartender that he "wasn't working for free." When I again asked for a water pitcher, he said that "it takes the same amount of effort to pour a beer pitcher as a water pitcher." Rather than engage in any further back and forth, I took the second water pitcher so I could partake in the games. I always am sure to tip for water, club sodas etc. but being shaken down for a tip at a bar I was once a regular at by a bartender I'd never seen before left a bitter taste in my mouth. And again, my group was a big one and there were lots of food and beer/alcoholic drink orders. Sent an email to management that went unanswered. Sadly, seems a new bar for Rangers games is needed. There are certainly lots of other bars in the Upper East Side where I've been that serve you non-alcoholic drinks with a smile.

Vent is fixed and burgers are back! Missed them and I have to say they were worth the wait. Thank you, East End!

East End Bar & Grill is not just an ordinary bar. I have been coming here for years they are like family to me! Wonderful bartenders, fun atmosphere... Has many Tvs so it is wonderful to go to for watching sports! Steve w, Vinny, Kenny, Richie, Casey, Marissa such wonderful bartenders!

Went here for quick bite to eat. Huge menu lots of food and drink options. The wings were amazing and they were so many flavors to choose from. Would definitely recommend if you want to watch some sports with some bar food

Brunch was super fun!!! Marissa was amazing, before my last sip she had the next round Infront of me. Bottomless brunch is a GO!!!!!

A little hidden gem, discovered this place by accident. Bartenders where friendly and attentive. The bar is clean, welcoming and well lite with plenty of TV's for all sport enthusiasts. They have a good happy hour and good food. Keep up the good work East End. You have a new regular client.

Fantastic wings, friendly staff, this place is all you need, well nearly all. Beer selection on draft is a bit standard, boring but the food menu is bonkers. The wings are were it's at, extra crispy, pick your flavor and enjoy, best for miles. Steve was my server and he rocks! Tip hard.

We love the bay but many times we order them take out ! Pub food is amazing and always arrives fresh and fast

What a great pleasant surprise! I received a response from the owner and he was so accommodating! I received grilled wings that was nicely grilled. Most chicken wings grilled comes out unevenly cooked. EAST END BAR & GRILL did an amazing job, golden and some charred which is exactly how I like it. I'm pleased to give East End a 2nd chance, then again the owner treated so it was hard to turn down. Great wings! I plan on dining there soon so I can experience the full hospitality that East End Bar has demonstrated through delivery. Thank you Yummy

If you're looking for a cool neighborhood bar to sit and have a burger or wings, this is the place! Had the east end burger with tater tots it was absolutely delicious. The staff is friendly and the customers hanging out at the bar watching the games were pleasant and chatty. Gotta love NYC where you never feel alone.

We were in the city for the weekend. We needed to find a Bills backer bar to watch the game. This place was great! So many Bills fans! They made room for us at the bar even though we didn't have reservations. Vinny the bartender took care of us! Highly recommend! Go Bills!

A good burger on the upper East side. Was calm for a sports bar, which was nice. Good service from the gal working the bar!

Richie is great and i love the atmosphere but they need to Figure out the heating. It's COLD AF I'm here. Like 40 degrees. I was freezing. Upside, my beer stayed cold, but my toes froze off.....

Very poor service. Bartender overcharged drinks and was condescending when questioned on it. Food was mediocre at best. Would never go back and would NOT recommend. 1/5.

This was my first time here. I came to watch the New Orleans Saints game and to celebrate my 50th birthday. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and the food and drinks. I had the Fried Stuffed Avocado with Pulled Pork, Buffalo Cauliflower with Sriracha Peach Sauce, and the Sweet Potato Fries! Every thing I had was delicious. There isn't a drink menu. Therefore, you have to know what you like to have as an alcoholic beverage. I still had a great time. I will be back!!! I

I paid $20 for a beer. Bartender refused to give change. She must be avoided her. Bar is perfect otherwise. Great tvs for sports. Service from the female bartender is terrible. Avoid her at all cost.

It doesn't get better than this spot. Period. The staff are amazing, hard-working, cool as hell people, and the owner is too. I'm a die hard Saints fan and if you also rock with the black and gold you'll find yourself at home here. Even if you're crazy enough to not be a part of Who Dat nation, they have a fantastic kitchen in the back which really throws down in the clutch. Now full disclosure, I do happen to live in the same building as the owner. But even before I learned that, I was a HUGE fan of their wings and their incredible list of unique, original flavors (the best in the UES by FARRRRR imo). Even during covid these guys have gone above and beyond to make game day an awesome, overwhelming experience: too many TV's to count, literally whatever game you could want, plus a DOPE DJ playing nothing but slappers. COME HERE FAM.

GO SAINTS! Came here to watch the NFC Conference match: Saints vs Rams. Unfortunately the Saints lost but whatever, I was so happy to have found a bar full of saints fans! I wish I had known about this place during regular season. It was soooo PACKED! Like to the point where you are breathing on someone's neck. Lovely. There's many TVs making this a great place to watch any sport. They have a full food menu with a variety of choices, however, it's still your typical bar food (macaroni and cheese, wings, burgers, etc). Didn't eat anything but I had an angry orchard ($7) and a pomegranate margarita which was pretty good and had the right amount of alcohol. They don't have a cocktail list but the bar is pretty stacked so if you know what you want, just ask. I'll definitely be coming back here to see how it is when the saints aren't playing haha

We popped in here to watch the Georgia Southern Bowl game. The food was awesome (loved the chicken vodka parm). Our bartender Steve was the man, very personable and extremely fast service. Good food, good service 10/10 would recommend for tourists or locals!

It's The Kenny, Marissa, Vinny, and Sarah Show! It's what the neighborhood needs: Fun staff and a great location. One of the best spots for sports in the neighborhood. Big screens and great views from any seat. Plenty of seating at the bar too for the win! Always a good time and their menu is perfect for watching games. Tons of appetizers to share, burgers, and sandwiches to enjoy. Nice selection of beers, ciders complement a full bar. See you soon!

This place has quickly become one of my favorite places. Really good nachos and Vinny is great and plays the best music!

I consider myself a chicken wing connoisseur (joking) but these are my favorite wings and blue cheese in NYC. (and I've had Dan and John's). Their variety of sauces on their wings is great and they might be priced a little high but they are 1000% worth it. The owner, (or I think he's the owner) Vinny is so nice also. Their new location looks great too!

What a great place to watch football, baseball or just if you love great food. Kenny and his crew made us feel like family. Great beer and food selection. Service was amazing especially Marissa. Tvs everywhere and every game represented. The wings are the best in NYC. Best place to watch sports in all 5 boroughs. I'll be a customer for life

The East End is truly one of a kind in Yorkville. Their new location is an amazing upgrade! There's not many true sports bars past 90th st on the UES. This one fits the mold. Endless supply of TVs, drinks, and great food. The staff is truly friendly and attentive. 1st class!

Everyone who works here is super cool and the food and drinks are good. Unfortunately I can't give a higher rating because we have had a few incidences where we were disappointed. Once where we reserved a table for two and were saved one seat in the corner of the bar (after paying for transportation there) and another time today when coming in on Christmas Eve. We made a reservation and I think it would be prudent to mention that the heat is broken when it's extremely cold outside. My toes literally went numb and we had to leave much earlier than expected. I felt especially bad for the staff because they said they were freezing but of course they couldn't leave :(

Had a great time here! Richie, the bartender, was great and this would be a great place for a Cuse game (speaking from chatting with him and a couple SU grads about their normal gameday ops)!

The Thai food was amazing at this location. You are able to customize the food options such as fried rice. I was able to get the pineapple fired rice with pork belly. There is also happy hour drinks to 6pm but also there drinks are amazing. You also will find the decor is very nice and uplifting.

This place is amazing! Steve, Vinny, Marissa and Richie are all amazing! They are all so professional and personable - as someone who has been in the neighborhood only 8 months they have made East End feel like my home away from home. The service they provide is impeccable & I couldn't recommend this place enough :)

Great place for Sunday football! Lots of TV's they have every game on and super friendly staff. Food is great and lots of good beers on tap.
