Public libraries should not be housing the homeless during the day. This takes away from people trying to actually work. The city should construct more shelters where they can exist, charge up their phones, do their thing, look for jobs, etc, but not at the public library where people need to work. And it’s not just five or ten. There’s like 50-100. I love and respect all people, so nothing against homeless people. We just need more shelters for them because they ain’t got no where else.

Left your east Las Vegas branch very upset. The way your customer service lady Mariann treated me was very unprofessional. She doesn’t greet or look you in the eye when approaching her desk. While explaining my situation her eyes didn’t leave her computer screen and she just answered with “yep” When asking her for her name she refused to give it to me until I tried stopping another employee. Not sure what her problem was but this is no way of treating someone.

A library that has it all for the community. They have so much to offer with all the programs and events. Beautiful and organized library. They have enough parking. A cafe and many different rooms from a book store to thinking rooms and a kid story room. They have computers and teen room to do all type of activities. Books, movies and even games you can checkout! Support your local library and get a card! The location is okay but let’s not judge a book by its cover :) Enjoy!

Beautiful building, amazing resources, nice staff. Amazed by podcast booth and 3D printing. Appreciate the security. Two armed security guards; wow! Would I take my kids? Sadly no; there’s clearly a reason for armed security. First, every seat on a Saturday morning was filled with homeless; sprawled out and chilling on their phones for hours. I appreciate it being open to all but the county can’t expect a parent of three little kids to feel comfortable when the entire place… every single couch is occupied by vagrants. The study rooms; one had a business meeting, the rest were vagrants surfing the WiFi. Yes, there’s odors and yes i felt leered at. I feel like I can’t possibly let my kids out of my immediate arms reach at all times. It’s a shame Glad you’re open to all, but it feels like a really fancy homeless shelter.

It’s a nice library and the staff are really polite and helpful but their is a lot of people with suitcases walking around for the kids security I think suitcases should not be allowed also the bathrooms should be a little more monitored people stay there for a very long time

Google
Amazing library and staff, just a kind and friendly reminder that a little bit of deodorants could help out w the bum stench, just a mere observation. Overall great staff and many resources available at this library as well, there can be above average noise, considering it IS a library.

Yelp
This was an incredible library! There was a small cafe, a recording soundbooth, instruments, dj equipment, podcasting classes. Up front they had small plants free to the public. There was a large walk-in bookstore with tons of children books & some teen books and there was a rollaway cart up front with a bookstore selection of adult books. It was a really impressive library!

Yelp
It's a nicely designed library in the center of town. I attended a meeting in a spacious room with good acoustics and audio visual equipment (not sure what was included or what brought in). Ample seating, lots of parking, and well-landscaped property. There was a pass through hallway from the meeting room into the library where restrooms were located. Unfortunately, there are homeless individuals sitting around and it made me nervous to use the restroom. I entered the library and saw the Cafe, which had a lot of snacks (hot and cold) and friendly staff. I ordered coffee and it tasted good. They have a community board to advertise services area residents may need. The library is well-kept and clean.

Yelp
Be warned now, there is MANY homeless people Inside and Outside. There is some areas that SMELL like piss‍

Yelp
This is a great library. It is very welcoming and staff have good knowledge. In addition, there is even a food kiosk and you can sit at any of the tables in the stacks with your snacks or sandwich and read. They have a baby/toddler toy check out. They wash and sanitize the toys when they are returned. The career center with wifi is terrific. They host a hugh assortment of activities. I can't shout out their praises enough.

Yelp
Amazing selection of Spanish books. They opened a cafe inside the library called "Cafe con Leche" & they are just the nicest people you'll ever meet. Support small business & check out some books. They also offer video games to rent out for a week. They just saved me $50 on Sonic Frontier.

Yelp
Dramatic change from its former location across from the Neon Museum on LVB. This place is so hi-tech I love it! Reminds me of a college campus library. There's even a cafe, dj area and green screen for the youngins. Great great improvement.

Yelp
My car was stolen from the parking lot. My fault for misplacing my keys. yes I know. I was in the children's area after I had just arrived and told my child to quickly pick out a book. While in the children's literature area, I used the keychain library card and seemingly left it at the computer I was using while I went down the next couple of aisles. While I was browsing I noticed There was only one woman and child in the area and she looked directly at me through the spaces in between the books in the aisles. She made her way around to the aisle I was in and was behind me as I was turning into the next aisle. I called my son to go and check out the books and once we got there I realized I didn't have the keychain/keys. Went back to the children's aisle to take a quick glance at where I could've left them. Obviously they weren't there. From there, I went to the lost and found where I noticed the lady who I believe stole my keys checking her books out. (Key evidence that could have been used, as her name is in the library system.) After asking lost and found if they had keys returned/brought to them, I once again went back to the children's aisle. After still not finding them, I looked in my purse one last time and walked out to my car while thinking what to do next. My car was gone. I had all the information I needed, I knew exactly who took my keys/car, all I needed was proof that my vehicle was stolen therefore I went to security and contacted the police for further investigating and easier access to crack the case. Security was very helpful and assuring but unfortunately for what u thought we're lazy reasons they claimed they couldn't access the cameras until police came. During this time the manager who was no help at all came outside to see who I was and literally didn't say a word to me. Long story coming to the end, the police came and the police told me the manager could have pulled the plugs to find out who stole my car if they wanted to and the manager was possibly being lazy (which I agree). Come on. 2 cameras are above where I parked, one camera in front of the computer in the kids section lol. This review is one star for the management whom I get his name later. I felt as if he could have showed more care/concern. They have the info I need to find who stole my car and literally just could careless.

Yelp
They were very kind to me. They explained to my how to use a copy machine & a printer. The lady even payed for my colored prints.

Yelp
The only thing I like about this library is the fact that it's a new facility.... However, very Horrible Management and Customer Service!!!!!!! My daughter's iPhone XR (yellow) was (STOLEN) from the Library's (Locked Charger Box) Station today.. Management tells us that their is "No Cameras" by the (Charging Box Station) but there is cameras everywhere else around the library... ***where is the convenience when u need it*** no apologies from security or management.. Please (DO NOT) use the Charger Station here!!!!! I would recommend going to a library that CARES about there customers!!!!!

Yelp
Beautiful library, very high tech but it's so loud. Even when I went into the quiet reading area some people brought their kid in who was yelling.

Yelp
I love the Green screen and the DJ room! The manager there is awesome and always nice to me!

Yelp
It was a library it had great service and it also had free Wi-Fi. There was also a small cafe for you to buy stuff from if you need a snack. They also have a computer room for you to use at all times.
