East Lubbock Art House

East Lubbock Art House is one of the most welcoming and important creative spaces in town. I’ve had the opportunity to show my work here, bring my high school students to volunteer, and see former students thrive through internships and mentorship. It’s a place that really supports artists at all stages of their journey. Danielle is the heart of it all. Her passion for art, community, and creating space for underrepresented voices is so genuine. You can feel her care and intention in everything that happens here. She’s built more than a gallery. It’s a community hub, a safe space, a place where people connect, grow, and feel seen.

ELAH is a jewel in our community. The organization use of art as activism is super! The awesome Director Danielle, is a proficient and excellent leader! She is always willing to introduce the arts to those who aren’t familiar with the power that art holds in every facet of life!

One of the best creative spaces available to the public!The events held at this Nonprofit Organization make ART available for EVERYONE. The community building and nurturing that comes from this organization and its leader, Danielle East, is a beacon in Lubbock. From practical skills building, healthy coping mechanisms, art workshops, community cleaning, mural projects, grant writing, feeding community members, this organization is a living example of how we heal as a community. One of the most meaningful spaces in town. Not just an art space, it’s a place where creativity meets care. Where people are doing real work toward healing and equity. It’s created something wonderful, a community-driven third space that’s as much about expression as it is about transformation.

ELAH is one of the last bastions of hope and acceptance and aid in Lubbock, period. The head of ELAH works tirelessly to raise their community above the waters every single day. Against political/financial resistance, in a literary desert, in the middle of red territory, ELAH has STILL managed reach those who need her most! So far I've seen ELAH; feed the hungry, clothe those in need, encourage literacy through clubs and reading lessons, create art programs, throw art parties, have community cook outs, create community closets and fridges, offer rides for disabled people to their community events, campaign for human rights, take in the lost and give hope to the hurting and I've only known about it for a year! Imagine all they have done and will do in the future!

This establishment is absolutely AMAZING!!! They offer a variety of workshops and have a great selection of items for purchase from local artists. Very friendly environment and active in Lubbock community!
