"Come to this outdoor pizzeria in the Upper East Side if you’ve had a few drinks at The Anderson next door. But other than that, the pizza’s not worth much of a commute. If you are here, order slices rather than a whole pie - the pizza tastes better that way, for some reason." - Ryan Pfeffer

Google
This place was recommended by our airb&b. Definitely didn't disappoint! The pizza was very good! We got an XL 18" with half ham for 2 adults and a 6 & 2 year old. We ended up with 2 slices left after dinner. We also got "garlic bread" which was just a sub roll with seasoning and cheese. It was good, but I wouldn't recommend it for the price.

Google
We visited East Side Pizza on a Sunday afternoon. They sell various fast Italian/American casual food such as Pizza, pasta, burgers, and wings, etc. It is a small establishment with counter, outdoor, backyard seating. The staff were efficient and friendly. The burger and fries were great. The pizza slice was large and thin. I enjoyed it. However, the trees around the business attracted so many mosquitoes that it was very uncomfortable while eating. We were covered in mosquitoes bites 🦟 on our arms and legs.

Google
Always great pizza there huge slices probably the best value in Miami for pizza. Also has that classic New York style with a crispy crust. I have to say this time the sauce tasted a little sweet.

Google
I'm devastated , it seems like Eastside pizza is no longer ! Tried to order Friday night, called 3 times, no answer. Then drove over... DARKNESS. This Americana/ Italian food restaurant was a gem in this neighborhood and was precious to me . No frills , just good food. Living in this area for 10 years, i find very little to brag about or even recommend. There rent probably was raised to a ridiculous amount, like mine and many others and quite frankly I'm ready to get out of here. Miss you E S D .

Google
One of my favorite stop/ eat place in Miami, since, I was working at the Reef bait and tackle shop in the 80"s ! Great food, cooks, staff, good for eating in, take out, back then they delivered? Not sure now if they do! 🚴👍❗

Google
Pizza is always always on point! The garlic knots are fire!! and the staff is always so fun! By far one of the favorite pizza spots in Miami. The slices are BIG and delish!

Google
Amazing food. Very good food for a very good price. The calamari is perfect. The lasania is savory and the portions are generous. The only down side is that if you eat indoors it gets pretty hot inside. I recommend eating outdoors. The employees are friendly and give the place a local feel.

Google
WOW !!!!! HUGE SLICE ! EXCELLENT QUALITY AND BEAUTIFUL PLACE ! GOT TO SAY : MISS "YO-YO" AND THE REST OF THE CREW : MY RESPECT ! GOOD PEOPLE AND TRUE WARRIORS ! EXCELLENT SERVICE ! Yelp
Just drove by and it's permanently closed, with a hanging banner that says YES!Cafe is coming soon. I guess good things don't last forever. Heartbroken over a community staple closing.

Kathy K.

Yelp
A solid local spot. It was open late on a Sunday night which I think deserves an extra star. It was relatively busy but the food didn't take too long. Plenty of outdoor spots to sit. We got a Ton Of food for only $50. It included wings, garlic knots, an extra large pie and a drink. We brought food home bcuz we had so much. Only complaint is that the dough of the pizza was a little weighed down by the toppings.

Yelp
I've driven by this place so many times and never knew how great it is!!! I almost want to gatekeep this place from people because I love it too much, their pizza is D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S! My husband and I share a medium and finish the entire thing haha! This place is also down the street from my favorite breakfast diner but i'm definitely gatekeeping that place lol!

Richa T.

Yelp
We ordered a bunch of take out from this pizza place and it was absolutely great The pizzas come in 8 slices per box. We ended up ordering 3 X Large pizzas for for 7 people as well as garlic knots. We had a large pepperoni, half 4 cheese and half BBQ chicken, and a large California delight. There was so much left over that we ended up having plenty for additional days. One of the things I do love is that this place also delivers! Definitely a great go to spot for your pizza fix. IG: @QueenOfAdventureNYC

Yelp
More of a 3.5 but i rounded up to 4. The pizza and wings are pretty tasty but they arent super generous with toppings. The garlic knots were just rolls with garlic butter so they were just ok. Its a cute spot and the customer service is slow but nice.

Michael H.

Yelp
OMG the crust is crisp and chewy at the same time. The sauce is lite with great flavor. Plentiful toppings well distributed. Counter service for outdoor seating. A must do for a nice slice of pizza when in the area

Yelp
Best new (old) discovery! Ate here years ago - pizza - was ok. But recently wanted pasta and had chicken parm and carbonara and was blown away. Monster portions, super fair prices, delicious taste. Friendly staff. Then had chicken sandwich which had as much crispy bacon as it did chicken! Tons of both! My LORD this place is amazing. Three times since and awesome service. So friendly the gals. And funny!!

Paul R.

Yelp
This place has been around for 40 years. I've never really been disappointed and still think their pizza are the best in the area. It has a great atmosphere at night. I think the prices are reasonable and the value is certainly there. Congratulations to the owners and establishment for keeping a great business going. Never miss an opportunity to stop by East Side Pizza if you're headed to or near Miami Beach.

Omar V.

Yelp
Wow ! I order a slice of pizza it's was crispy and tasty !" Also Beer was cold very nice service!"

Gabriella M.

Yelp
I've had this place 4 times. 2 of the times - it was delicious. The other 2 times - it was okay. If it can be consistently good, it would be a 5 star joint For reference I've tried the margarita 2 times and the pepperoni 2 times

Seda K.

Yelp
Love this spot. They're very close to my house and we really enjoy ordering from them for lazy nights. I do like their calzones a lot, it's more than enough for my husband and I, we ask to add ground beef to it and it's great! I've had their pastas which just as good and they have very fatty - therefore yummy- garlic bread. Never sat there to eat but it is available.

Josh F.

Yelp
Best New York style pizza in North Miami. I've been coming here for years and never been disappointment.

Shirley F.

Yelp
I've eaten here so many times but forget to review. I've only ordered through Uber eats and still have a good experience. The pasta meals come with a choice of salad and garlic knots. The knots are drenched in real garlic which I love. I always get the stuffed shells, eggplant parm and lasagna. All are more than enough to share. Plus that the prices are fair. The eggplant is always fried crispy and to perfection.

Vicki M.

Yelp
Welcome to one of the oldest bits of Little River. There's no pretenses. You're gonna eat outside. There's seating inside but it's small. Most folks live in the neighborhood. Service is eh. It really depends on who you get at the counter. But you're going to love the garlic knots, bolognese and my personal favorite the bacon slice with a ginormous pepsi. I don't suggest doing anything other than in person dine in or ordering though.

Subhan S.

Yelp
Who ever says this pizza taste good needs to get their taste buds checked. Ive from NY I've had good pizza and this sucks. I got a BBQ chicken and plain slice. The plan slice was kinda burnt in the beginning and there was barely any taste of sauce. And the BBQ chicken was just a plain pizza with chicken on top and a glob of bbq sauce

Yelp
Been going to Eastside since I was 13/14 almost 30 now lol. BIG SHOUT-OUT TO VINCENT he held it down every time I went to Eastside never disappoints can't believe today is the last day of its opening I have to get the pastrami and Elephnat Ear #Eastsideeeeeee

estefania r.

Yelp
One of my favorite spots in Miami, Yummy pizza and it does take similar to nyc style pizza

Melissa Mame M.

Yelp
I drive by every night on my way home from work and finally decided to stop by on a Friday evening. I recently moved from NY and don't expect much when ordering pizza anywhere else, but I actually really enjoyed this. We got light cheese (my boyfriend is lactose intolerant), half mushroom/half ham. Both were very good and even with less cheese everything was balanced and flavorful. I even ate all my crust, which never happens. Spent about $20 on a large which seems pretty reasonable these days. Will definitely be back!

Liz R.

Yelp
This pizza spot is like your good old friend that you can always depend on! I have been to East Side a million times and it's always consistent and delicious. I'm not gonna lie, I even got into a fender bender in front of this place after grabbing some slices :,/ lol. Anyway, I recently ordered a pie with half specialty white pizza and half mushrooms and peppers. My bf had never tried it before so I was hoping for a great pie. I decided to order pickup because the Slice app cancelled our order. They said it would be ready in 30 mins (awesome!). So my bf picked it up and I I got the red wine ready for us. The pizza was still hot when he arrived which was great! The white pizza was really good and the veggie side was crunchy and not soggy at all (sometimes that happens with veggie pizzas). So needless to say, East Side delivered another great pie! I'll be back for more !

Yelp
Driving by and starving ...decided to stop by. When I initially got there the gentleman at the register was very nice - until he walked away and the little girl took over. I wanted wings but they no longer offer the 6 piece or 12 piece that's on the printed menu. Now it's just a sign advertising 10 or 20 piece wings. I initially ordered the chicken soup. Paid for the soup then decided to add the wings. I asked her if I could place another order and she responded "with me?" .... I'm not sure who else I was supposed to order from? Nevertheless I asked for the 10 piece wings with blue cheese. The sign advertised 10 wings with 3 sauces and celery for $14.99+ tax. My total was $17.47. I got my receipt and noticed she charged me $0.75 for the blue cheese. I asked her if the wings came with sauce and she replied with "yes, the blue cheese like you asked" then I inquired about why I was charged for it. She looked back at the receipt and told me "yes, it's 10 wings plus blue cheese for 14.99" ..... I understand what I ordered, my question was pertaining to why I was charged for the blue cheese... if you're telling me it comes with it!!!!! My charge was not $14.99 plus tax it was $14.99 + .75 blue cheese + tax ....So I read her sign to her - stating that it comes with sauce and she tells me "that's just the way the register rings it up" . I'm not upset about $0.75, My annoyance was mainly due to how nonchalant and unbothered the cashier was. You're advertising with sauce - verbally telling me it comes with it but you charge me additional for it and can't explain why except "that's just the way the register rings it up". No, you're operating the register - that's the way YOU rang it up. I was a little hangry so my patience was extremely thin and I just requested a refund for the wing order all together. She asks for my card back and with my card in her hand she asks me "is this a visa or Mastercard" - I repeat the card was in her hand - a basic Bank of America debit card. At this point I just felt she was purposely being an ass. She processes my refund and hands me my card and receipt. I walk away and she tells me that she needs me to sign the refund receipt. Sure, no problem - until I request a copy for myself and she tells me there's no way she can do that. There's no way I can get a copy of my refund ? She tells me to take a picture of her copy because they need their receipt to give to the bank. It's hard to leave me speechless but she takes the cake. If you don't know how to do something, just say that. If you aren't sure about something ask someone. Do not improvise and come up with the most ridiculous rebuttals - and then have an attitude on top of it. The customer is NOT always right however, every customer has a RIGHT to inquire about something their being charged for that doesn't make sense. Even if it's $0.75. The gentleman who helped me initially when I ordered the soup Vince (name on receipt) was great! Great customer service, and personable. The girl after him Tommiah (name on receipt)- I can't say the same - very unwelcoming demeanor and obviously could tell she didn't want to be there. The star is only for Vince and for the chicken soup ! Side note - the chicken soup was amazing!!!! Wish I could tell you how the wings and blue cheese were ..................

Yelp
I recently had the pleasure of dining at a restaurant where Chef Belli was the head chef of East Side Pizza in Miami, Florida, and I must say, the Italian food was absolutely fantastic. Chef Belli truly knows how to create delicious and authentic Italian cuisine that is both flavorful and beautifully presented. From the appetizers to the main courses and desserts, every dish was expertly prepared with fresh ingredients and a masterful touch. Chef Belli's attention to detail and passion for food definitely shone through in every bite. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant to experience Chef Belli's outstanding Italian cuisine firsthand. You won't be disappointed! https://eastsidepizzatogo.com/ East Side Pizza (305) 758-5351 731 NE 79th St, Miami FL, 33138

Yelp
So unbelievably upset about this apparently East Side pizza has a new owner. This is the first pizza I've had with the new owner and I have to tell you it is horrible. The dough was gross, no flavor. the sauce was different, not in a good way I got a pepperoni and jalapeño and there was barely any toppings. I went back to the counter explained my concerns no one even came out to say hey what can we do to make it better. I'll beyond disappointed I won't be going back.

Michael P.

Yelp
This establishment bills itself as serving "the biggest slice in Miami," and there is likely merit to that claim. The slices are monstrous. Fortunately, this slice is more than spectacle as the sauce is fantastic, the toppings and cheese evenly spread and fresh. As a former Miami resident, I used to frequent this place and was thrilled to return and enjoy the slice I had come to know and love. Fashioned as a local slice counter off 79th street just before the JFK, East Side Pizza is an institution for those in the know. A plain, cheese slice is just under $5, but the size and quality makes this a great value. There is outdoor seating and tv usually featuring Dolphins or other sports games. The vibe is communal without pretense. Come as you are and enjoy! Giant slice, giant cookies and giant character. Great local place!

Reem D.

Yelp
Amazing experience all the time. The manager Harley goes above and beyond for her customers. I will recommend the swiss out burger and the spaghetti with meatballs. Good vibes, great food! i love this spot

Cecilia P.

Yelp
I have been searching for a real NY style pizza slice in Miami for years and have found that really nobody in Miami comes as close as East Side Pizza. Yes, literally nobody else. And to you naysayers.... *Steve's pizza sauce is way too sweet to be NY style. It's a good slice but definitely not NY style. *Casola's is not actually any good. Maybe it was good way back when. I've given it a try two times and I've found that the sauce, cheese and crust are made out of cheap ingredients and are just not even worth the calories. Either way... don't expect much from this restaurant is regards to ambience. You order at an open air counter. They have draft beer, soft drinks, pizza, sub, options. They have picnic tables outside and it's all self service. If you just want a good slice of pizza it's the perfect place

Albert T.

Yelp
Great pizza very similar to NY style pizza! Large slices with just the right amount of cheese and tomato sauce! Garlic bread is also very good!!!

Brenda J.

Yelp
Dinner at East Side Pizza.... This is a really nice lunch or dinner spot with outdoor seating and really good food. When I'm in Miami, this is one of my favorite spots on 79th Street. They have absolutely awesome food, for me the Lasagna is by far the best thing I've had here if not the best lasagna I've had ever! Two other tasty dishes I'm endorsing are the Spaghetti and Baked Ziti dinners. I'll make a point to try something else and share my experience. The garlic rolls are so soft and filled with garlic.. You can get full just looking at them. (See the pictures) Just enough salad to complete this meal. Almost forgot the Great Gigantua Chocolate Chip Cookie that is the size of your car steering wheel.. Victor runs a tight ship, each time I've been here I've always witnessed him providing quality customer service and the staff is following his footsteps.. Great job! Whenever Virgil and I come in we are treated with special care. (Everyone is really nice) Checkout the photos and you decide!

Paulet D.

Yelp
I've seen this location many times and always want to stop by. After a long beach trip we decided to stop for pizza. It was great since we were all sandy and they have a great outdoor seating which comes in handy because of Covid. When we arrived I asked the girls if we can sit wherever or should we wait and she said to just sit. I stood there for a while until she finally looked up to take my order. The pizza is great and all and the prices but the employees can be sprinkled with a bit of niceness. If I try it again, I'll try take out next time.

Morgan C.

Yelp
Great pizza went for lunch had two pepperoni slices nice hot crunch and greasy so much good!!! Loved it ! Good location also great menu.

Danni S.

Yelp
I've been living in the area for 9 years now and I always have gone here. It's been hit or miss in the past but there's new owners and they are really nice and the pizza has been very consistently good when I go. And service is way better now. I usually just get cheese pizza and garlic rolls and it's delicious. Something's I feel maybe shouldn't be ordered or made by pizza designated places so keep that in mind. But the pizza is good

Dilis R.

Yelp
First time here and wow! Ziti Bolognese was delicious and the portion was more than we expected! Garlic Bread to die for! Service on point! We even got a visit from Chef Albert aka Ched Belly! Thank you so much for the extra attention! Almost forgot!, leave room for the cannelloni It was the icing on the cake, delicious to say the least! We'll definitely be back soon!

Maria Isina A.

Yelp
One of the best places to eat NY style pizza. It is located between North Bay Village and North Miami. It is not a fancy place, with a grab-and-go option, and an outside space if you want to eat there. The place is basically a parking lot with a pizza joint. There are ten or twelve parking spaces, and cars get in and out all the time. You can order pizza, paninis, sandwiches, pasta with meatballs and some salads. Service usually is fast, unless you go a Friday or Saturday night. There are no waiters or waitresses, and the employees will leave your order on the counter and call your name. You better get it yourself! They have a bathroom that is pretty much clean, but similar to the ones at gas stations. You need to ask for the key to the cashier. The pizza is delicious. You can eat more than two slides without getting indigestion. It reminds me of Joe's in New York. The best thing: it is open late, and they accept pets.

Marie H.

Yelp
Tried pepperoni pizza, mozzarella sticks and steak n cheese sub. All bad, especially steak n cheese. First and last time for this place. 2 stars for a pretty sign outside.

Natalya S.

Yelp
Pizza as big as my head? Yes, please! It's a very relaxed place where you can walk up, order pizza by the slice and sit on the patio to eat, chat, and watch some TV. The garlic rolls are huge as well! Full sized rolls and they are not stingy with the garlic. Absolutely loved them! My friend got a salad and she enjoyed it as well! Great pizza place!

Dianne L.

Yelp
let me start by saying this has been the worst experience ever. the lady who answered the phone was extremely rude. she left items out of my order then when i called to tell her shhe continued to be rude and hung up on me! by the time i went back to the restaurant to get my sons pizza and husbands the gate was closed but the side door was ajared i asked the worker to speak with a manager of course none was on site and again was rudely dismissed with a door closed in my face! i'm beyond pissed off to the point i wanted to cry for how rude i was treated! i would not recommend my food was disgusting and the service was horrible thanks for making sure the people who keep your business afloat feel like crap!

Sergio F.

Yelp
My description for my late night gourmet list states that these are places that are 5 stars after midnight. When I'm more than a few rum and cokes in, I don't care whether ingredients are locally sourced or that Sinatra is on the sound system. I just care for tasty carbs and caffeine to recover from the fun. Given those parameters, Upper Eastside Pizza fits the bill! First, the owners are genius for their location next to a hip bar. Bonus for having soda refills (including cherry coke) Slices are YUGE, and not limited to basic cheese. Ms. fellow foodie friend ordered a nice looking (and tasting) pepperoni and mushroom slice - I sampled - and I enjoyed basically an arm long crispy slice of BBQ chicken pizza. There were plenty pieces of chicken and generous spread of sweet bbq sauce. The pizza wasn't overly cheesy (as I like it) and the crust nice and crispy. We enjoyed our post club grub on the outside picnic tables to close up the evening. Oh, and it's also on the way back from the full moon party.

Jailine H.

Yelp
A friend told me about this place and we came here to eat while coming back from the beach. He really hyped up how good this place was and I was not disappointed! This pizza establishment has a great selection of food they offer pizza, sandwiches, spaghetti and more. They also have daily specials where you get a can soda, salad, 2 garlic knots and a mini cannoli along with your meal. I came on a Thursday so the daily special was spaghetti and meatballs. My friends got the daily special and I got a slice of cheese pizza. The pizza slice was giant and really filling. The spaghetti and the sides took a while to come out while the pizza slice I got immediately upon ordering. However, they had a great outdoor seating with a roof and many seats. Outside at one of the tables they also had giant jenga which was nice to pass the time while waiting for the food. Overall the food was great, the staff was very nice and the restaurant itself was very clean. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Vanesa C.

Yelp
The food here was a pleasant surprise. Excellent quality! I just tried a slice of pizza as the order business around the area sell the entire pizza only.

S V.

Yelp
The staff and cooks are rude. The pizza is nasty. They mess up the orders and blame the customer because they took the order wrong. Horrible place.

Vivian O.

Yelp
Being from NYC originally, I love Pizza! Crusty, crunchy, cheesy pizza. This place may not be anything fancy, but boy they know one thing...and that is how to make pizza. I was so excited to be here that I forgot to take pictures of our food. ( next time) The slices are HUGE, the toppings are abundant and extremely tasty. I travel 45 minutes to eat here. (Ok, my daughter lives near by....but I still LOVE this place). A plain slice costs $4.25. Topping are 75 cents each. They also offer full pies, calzones and salads. Beer in cans and on tap. No indoor seating, but tables out on the side with a head covering...tin roof. If you like good Pizza, give this place a try.

Roger M.

Yelp
Great local pizza! Lucky to have this place for an emergency goto! The pizza is perfect thickness and the tomato sauce is a bit sweet, sausage is nice. Will be our go to, even if there are better pizzas places!

Harley B.

Yelp
People are nuts the food is delicious . Good environment and definitely friendly staff. I like this place .

Ammoni R.

Yelp
This place is within walking distance which is great. I always get a big pepperoni slice so you can't go wrong. Recently I've been trying the lemon pepper wings and have been great each time! My dad tried the meat lovers Stromboli and said it was good as well. They can get pretty busy so the wait can be long but food is def worth it

Daniella S.

Yelp
Super nice neighborhood pizzeria that's been around here for a little while it's kind of a pioneer on the 79th St. restaurant Row hopefully it will stick it out and all the other fancy dives come in Pizza burgers salads etc. etc. even since Italian meals are cooked up here for delivery or pick up or we can eat out here on the counter or in the patio surrounded by twinkling little white and yellow lights probably left from Christmas but it works I love it

David S.

Yelp
This probably my 7th time down to Miami and I'm constantly on the search for great food and excellent experiences. I searched a cheap place that was within 5 miles of my location.. that location being South Beach where everything is expensive with no free parking. I scrolled for a while to find East Side Pizza. This is what you would call a actual pizza "joint" because they literally have a parking lot and you walk up to order. They have outdoor seating or you can take it to go. I ordered a slice of Hawaiian pizza and the Baked Ziti Bolegnese that's served with garlic bread and a side salad. They literally yell your name when the orders are up and if you don't grab it your food is left at the counter. Normally you would think food would come out at once but here they just yelled my name every time an item on my order was ready. The slice of Hawaiian pizza came out first (sorry I didn't get a good pic I was hungry) the pizza had a crispy crust albeit a bit too crispy when I tried to eat it the slice broke and fell apart. I wasn't overly impressed with the taste of the pizza or lack thereof. The sauce must be something they buy because it just didn't have much of a taste. The ham pieces were a bit too thick for my liking and reminded me of cut up bologna so I didn't finish that. The pasta came out next along with the side salad. The pasta was not half-bad it actually was cooked well and while I think it had a little more cheese than I'd like it was still tasty. The salad was simply some basic shredded lettuce, tomatoes, onions and olives. The garlic bread was two dinner rolls with a butt-load of garlic (while fresh super overpowering) and some seasoning. I couldn't take more than a couple of bites of that. So tell me why when I walked up to the counter to get a refill I was ignored by at least 3 employees. I had to basically be semi-loud and say who am I supposed to talk to about a refill. In between this 3-5 minute encounter one of the other employees threw away all of my food including the half-full entree of pasta I had left. They tried asking me "well how much was left" I was like a good bit... They ended up making me another one to go but still don't go throwing away a customers food unless you are sure they are done. If you don't offer table service why are you doing that anyway? I dunno  I was not overly impressed by Eastside Pizza and probably won't be back for a while.

Fanny R.

Yelp
i have to acknowledge the team service at East Side Pizza especially Rick who helped fulfill my order - to share, the delivery arrived at my apartment and it was missing 4 items of which East Side took blame for (mistakes happen). They took responsibility and arranged for the delivery driver at East Side to bring the remaining items once he clocked in. Food arrived a few hours later but it was worth it to avoid having to place claims on my Postmate's account. plus, the food is amazing. :)

Hun I.

Yelp
This small pizza spot has a good setup for outdoor grab and go orders. Reasonable prices and mediocre food. The cookies are giant, crumbly, precooked and perhaps even frozen & thawed out frisbees of dryness. Not terrible but I certainly would not purchase twice. I don't expect desserts at a pizza places to be stellar anyway and the service is fast and friendly so they get 3 stars. Also they have ample, though a little bit tight parking. I'd skip it if I wasn't in the area.

Elizabeth R.

Yelp
Spring brake weekend and they were understaffed but the customer service was amazing and the food was even better. As a New Yorker they have all my support I will always be a customer. I will also continue to tell people to fold their PIZZA

ItsMattranger ..

Yelp
Food was amazing just went with my dad and he loved the pizza!!!! The pizza is amazing, the chicken sandwich is amazing and the chicken salad is amazing. 1000000000000/10
