East Village Vegan Café - Review - Clifton - Bristol - The Infatuation

"Are you a determined seeker of chic sweet treats? Do ombre lattes make you feel alive? Have you ever made a highly curated Pinterest board dedicated to the gingham-ification of your own kitchen? If you answered yes to any of the above, then you’re going to be hot for East Village Vegan Café. Less a humble caffeine pit stop, and more a one-stop shop for everything you need to kick-start an aspirational Clifton Village aesthetic, this spot on postcard-worthy Boyce’s Avenue has a vegan cafe up front and a winding shop stretching from the front door to a cosy back room. It sells everything from chunky jewellery to trendy ceramics, and it turns out that witnessing a wirehaired dachshund meet cute while, oops, accidentally buying a rainbow of taper candles alongside a frothy tiramisu latte is very good for the soul." - Heidi Lauth Beasley

Friendly staff. Cool gift shop. The focaccia sandwiches are so nice (we had the tapenade, Vg mozzarella, courgette and rocket). The praline hot chocolate (with oat milk) was insanely good and so was the almond croissant (wow!). Such a great vegan cafe :)

Pastries blew me away, my favourite was the almond croissant. Blud when I tell u it was the most perfect crunchy yet soft filling almond croissant ever. Cafe had great atmosphere.. but you can’t use laptops inside. Shame

The coffee here was incredible, smooth and mellow, and the pastries looked to die for - good prices too for the size of them.

Was visiting a relative who studies in Bristol and so had a lot of time in the days to myself. Was in Bristol for 5 days and had breakfast here 3 of those. Simply, that great it is. Their banana bread is the best i'll ever have and I could tell the locals all treasured this lovely spot. Workers were kind, atmosphère was exquisitly cosy and it only makes it a tenfold better that everything was vegan and therefore Earth friendly! Great place for those thinking vegan food isn't as good as non-vegan. This was certaintly better in my opinion.

The best cafe in Bristol! Whether you’re visiting for the day or moving here as a student, consider this a must visit. The food and drinks are absolutely amazing, creative and always delicious. The atmosphere is so warm and welcoming, and the interior is decorated beautifully, with items that you can purchase from their shop. The staff are always wonderful and accommodating. It does get very busy so expect to wait for a table, but don’t let that put you off — it’s worth it, trust me!

Popped in here for an iced chai, not realising it was vegan and was very pleasantly surprised when it was! I am vegan so getting to have a pain au chocolat was a great treat and there were many delicious looking sweet treats to choose from. Nice in and outdoor seating to enjoy.

Down to earth, relaxed atmosphere..... Lovely place to get tea and cake on a busy Saturday afternoon. Whilst I'm not a vegan, I was greatly impressed by the flavour and quality of the food options. The place was lively and fun; made a very enjoyable pit stop.

What a nice café. Everything is vegan, which is fantastic; their sandwiches are tasty and their cakes look scrumptious. I got a macademia latte, which was unexpectedly sweet but not as overpowering as other lattes I've had and their toasted breakfast sandwich which was also really good. The staff is always kind and attentive. Always a nice place to spend your saturday or sunday mornings!
