"With locations in Durham and Raleigh’s newly opened IronWorks, Eastcut is a self-proclaimed “sandwich utopia.” The menu has an entire section for cutlets — chicken, eggplant, or meatless — paired with an array of toppings. Curly fries are a nostalgic and delicious side item, especially dipped in Eastcut’s house sauces like ranch and chipotle aioli." - Catherine Currin

Located in the new Raleigh Iron Works. Customer service was great and the interior was nice and clean. I ordered the curly fries and they were cooked to perfection & seasoned perfectly. I ordered the chicken Parmesan sandwich and was disappointed as the chicken was cooked good, but lacked flavor and not enough sauce, causing the sandwich to be very dry. They also had a lavender lemonade (not sure if it’s seasonal), but it was a 100 out of 10!!!! Recommend for it to be on the menu all the time. Definitely would come back and try a different sandwich.

Google
Ironworks is a beautiful area and Eastcut was a great addition. Underrated burgers and the cold cut sandwiches are top tier. Also the chicken cutlets are really good as well. 9/10

Google
Decent sandwhich, good service, cool location in the industrial strip. Not worth a second trip for us though - but might be worth one trip for you. Loved the outdoor seating and the nearby shopping.

At first, it seemed a little expensive, but three days after eating there I’m still thinking about how good that sandwich was and definitely going to go back so I think that means it was worth it! Seriously though it was delicious! The area of this place is in is just adorable and there are lots of other small businesses to poke around in. Great area! All around, 10 out of 10! PS try the sweet potato, tater tots!

Google
OK, ladies and gentlemen, this one is a good one. Let me tell you this is gonna be one of your favorite spots. The sandwiches are amazing. The tater tots were delicious scrumptious the environment was very lively super family friendly. The decor was amazing. Gave off a lot of beach vibes according to my wife. They had real good merch me and my wife got the cheesesteaks. I replace my American cheese with mozzarella cheese. That thing was banging. The mozzarella sticks taste like something you never had before. They have a totally different breading. They put a Parmesan cheese on top and they make the mozzarella cheese, so it’s fresh and you can tell the difference between the mozzarella sticks that you get there any common restaurant or franchise restaurant I’m not a beer person but I think they had beers there and they have free water so if you person has issues with kidney stones and stuff like that you don’t have to worry about the water Overall this place is amazing. I’ve only been there once so that’s the only reason that I have a four star rating once I explore the menu I reevaluate your time at Eastcut

Google
We decided to try this place after seeing it hyped on Instagram. We ordered two sandwiches and 2 drinks for $40. We tipped in advance and took our order to sit outside and eat. The chicken sandwich I had was good however just needed a bit more sauce. I asked the server if I could have and she said it was .99 cents each. I found that odd considering how we tipped in advance and that she didn’t even give me an option of any “free” sauces that were available, which what I wanted was mayo to begin with. When I went to use the bathroom, I was they had a little stand of sauces next to the bathroom and it upset me that she didn’t even let me know those were available. Considering the prices of the sandwiches, no sauce, whether special or basic should have a charge. We left on a sour note, meh.

Google
Eastcut was recommended for its sandwiches and I was thoroughly impressed. The spicy gabagool with red onion and arugula added was fantastic. My partner had the special of the day chicken cutlets and vodka sauce sandwich which was also amazing. I will definitely be coming back even though it's a 25 min drive.

Google
I have tried a few of there sandwiches. All three were delicious. The Italian was the best I have had in NC. The Beefsteak is very good but it is different than your traditional cheesesteak. It is very good so give it a try. The chicken sandwich is very tasty. The atmosphere is very nice and new. The staff and service were really great. This is a must try if you are visiting or live in the area.

Yelp
Upon my second visit to Eastcut, this time the Raleigh location, my love for Eastcut Sandwich Bar was confirmed. I think it's time for me to shout from the rooftops: this joint serves high quality, consistent, gourmet sandwiches and I'm thrilled about it! Located at the Iron Works, a mixed use development off Atlantic, the "deli" takes advantage of a variety of indoor and outdoor seating areas. I sat indoors and must say that the piped-in music was fire. Ordered mozzarella sticks as an app and chicken parm for lunch. The hot food was delivered at the same time. I guess that's not surprising. In the future, I may order the mozzarella sticks first and separately so they arrive first. Utilized the QR code on the table to order lunch via Toast Tab. The options to modify menu items is quite impressive. When possible, order the long roll. You'll have a larger portion in case you're really hungry or desire some more of the sandwich for later on. Heard they serve Raleigh's Union Special bread. It's worth noting the establishment when you find good bread in NC. #iykyk Hoping to check it out soon. Beverage of choice was Coke in a glass bottle. The cookie I ate for dessert was spectacular in every way. Don't pass up dessert. If you happen to dine at Raleight Eastcut during favorable weather, stroll around the complex to check out the other businesses, and relax in the outdoor seating. Yes, I'll be back! Maybe tomorrow...

Yelp
Me and my crew are here twice with that bring a total of 5 meals. Sandwiches are just ok. Nothing gourmet. Just slightly above avg. hamburger flat burnt and totally uninspired. Curly fries coated in the standard tasteless stuff that speaks of chain food. I dunno. Maybe we will try again. The best part is sitting outside and people watching.

Selin B.

Yelp
Yummy. Awesome vegetarian chicken option. Cool location, good indoor and outdoor vibe. Helpful ppl behind the counter! Just a teeeeensy pricey for a sando. $14 with tax for a round roll. No sides or drink. Would come back every now and then fa sho

Yelp
This place has a great outside dining option, with slides nearby, and it's an enjoyable way to eat this spring. They deliver your sandwiches to your table, and my sandwich was good, but nothing to write home about. I know this is a personal opinion, but I found myself thinking during dinner that two sandwiches and drinks shouldn't be close to 40 dollars and that if my wife had been with us with no fries or extra, it would be 55+, for a get-your-own-utencil sandwich I just found myself enjoying my experience a lot less.

Katie T.

Yelp
This place was delicious! It was the first time I'd been to Iron Works and things were pretty quiet as many of the shops are still in the process of opening. There are parallel parking spots in front of the stores fronts on the main drive, and then a parking deck underneath the nearby apartments which I'm sure will be used more once the area picks up. The employee greeted me upon walking in, which I appreciated, and explained their menu to me. She was happy to share which sandwiches were most popular (a cheesesteak, the Dagwood, and Boardwalk Italian). I opted for the Dagwood because the salami sounded good, and they agreed to toast the bun for me when I asked (good decision). For sides I went with the curly fries (huge portion) and a side salad which was very good. The chipotle aioli had a kick, as did the buffalo cauliflower bites which a friend let me try. I'll be back to try more of the menu (and apparently there's an adult slide nearby so you can get from the second level of the shops yo ground floor). They're a bit pricey...had it not been for a coupon all of this would've cost me close to $25.

Yelp
I'm a sucker for a good sandwich so I had to try this place out! My husband and I visited on a Saturday during lunch time. All of the tables inside were full with just a few bar seats open. You can order from a QR Code at your seat or line up and order at the register. They have both hot and cold sandwiches and a few sides and a few apps. Oh and salads too. My husband and I ordered the spicy gabagool, the Jet and one of the balboa beefsteak (Philly). We wanted to try a few different things being that it was our first time. I was honestly a little underwhelmed. The spicy gabgool wasn't spicy. The Jet, which is a chicken cutlet sandwich wasn't warm (I specifically asked if it would be and was told yes). The Philly was probably my fav although I thought it was missing just a little something. The curly fries were great. I think I'll come back when they're less busy!

Thomas D.

Yelp
I loved my experience at Eastcut. I got one of the sandwich specials, so I will have to go back and try one of their regular menu items. The Burrata Vodka Parm Sandwich is terrific though. The fried chicken cutlet was crispy and juicy, and the Burrata and vodka sauce on the sandwich tasted really fresh to compliment it. We also tried both the curly fries and sweet potato tots. They were both delicious - flavorful without being overly greasy. As a side note on the sandwich sizes: It seemed that the portion sizes of the smaller sandwich was plenty if you order a side, even as a hungry guy that worked out that day. So if you're on the edge, I recommend saving some money and getting the small size. The larger sandwich size could be nice to share with someone if you have the same order. The interior style is very basic and to the point. It was very clean, which is what I'm looking for in this type of fast casual restaurant. If you're a sandwich person, I recommend Eastcut Sandwich Bar. I know that I'll be going back many times.

Kellie D.

Yelp
This place was really phenomenal for a sandwich shop. I love sandwiches but rarely eat them because I'm gluten free. Eastcut offers GF buns for $1.50 extra and has a huge menu of sandwiches. I ordered the Jane and a side of fries. Gluten free bread was softer than most. I don't normally like cheese on my sandwiches but the cheese on this sandwich was listed as HOMEMADE fresh mozzarella which I couldn't pass up. It was stuffed with cheese and turkey -- so good! Fries were fantastic! Husband got the sweet tots which were good but I enjoyed the fries more. He ordered the sandwich special of the day which was a spicy beef bulgogi and loved it. Counter service, not much in the way of atmosphere but friendly employees and prompt service. Looks like good drink specials most days of the week. We will definitely be back!

Candy C.

Yelp
Wanted to try this but very disappointed. Turkey sandwich was mediocre at best. Bun tasted stale and sandwich was very bland. Way overpriced for what I received! Wish I could have my 18.00 back lol!

Kat G.

Yelp
Fantastic addition to the Raleigh Iron Works food scene! Stopped in to grab lunch and try their sandwiches. I love a good sandwich so there for needed to share half :) I love cheese and anything avocado so the Avocado Caprese was perfect! The ranch was a little addicting:) There is lots of space outside to sit and enjoy food.

Allan A.

Yelp
Cafe style sandwich shop. They offer chicken cutlet sandwiches, so I was excited to visit. The sandwich came on a thick, chewy, sesame seeded bun. I took my first bite and was taken aback that the chicken was cold. If you order hot sandwiches, there is a bit of a wait. Taste wise a solid 4 stars. Note they bring your drink from the kitchen, so there no refills this time. Price to value had them a bit expensive. $16+ for drink and sandwich.

Stephen C.

Yelp
Facilities are new and clean, ingredients were fresh and lunch speed of service was excellent. After gratuity lunch was $28.00 for salad and drink. Won't be my daily go to but will definitely come back. My coworker got their large turkey sub and it was huge! And he said it was amazing.

Orvina W.

Yelp
This was a cute little spot. The sandwiches were tasty and the customer service was excellent. I would definitely go back and try different things.

Gil T.

Yelp
I've been to Eastcut in Raleigh twice now, and it feels like I finally have a go-to, treat-yourself sandwich shop. Any sandwich joint with a "cheesesteak of the month" is a friend of mine. And when you serve me a Gaucho cheesesteak with chimuchurri, pepper Jack, grilled onion, cilantro, etc...you've won me over. I feel like most sandwich spots specialize in a particular type of sandwich, but this place is a master of different lanes: cheesesteaks, cold cuts, fried chicken, chicken parm, etc. The only thing you're locked in on is the sesame bread, which is fantastic. Curly fries were well-seasoned and plentiful. Sweet potato tots were money as well. Came out piping hot. Try some of the homemade dipping sauces, I loved the chipotle aioli. If there's a weak spot, it's the current drink situation. Not sure if they're still getting up to speed, but the cans of soda and lukewarm tap water don't quite cut it. Eastcut serves a premium sandwich, no matter what you order. It might not be the cheapest lunch you've ever had, but if you're like me, you'd rather pay a couple extra bucks to get a hefty, damn good sandwich and a hot side. Can't wait to go back.

Markiesa B.

Yelp
First time visiting this place tucked away in the new shopping and living complex off Atlantic ave. I ordered online and picked up. I got the Buffalo chicken sandwich and sweet potato tots. Both were really good. The tots do have salt on them fyi, but they weren't overly sweet. Even though the sandwich was buffalo it wasn't spicy though. The sandwich was light and not heavy so I can appreciate that. Overall I'll try this place out again.

Nisha C.

Yelp
Our friends had taken us here shortly after it opened. I believe it was 1 week into opening. The sandwiches here are absolutely delicious. I ordered an Avocado sandwich, and my husband ordered the buffalo chicken I believe, but both were so amazing, we devoured them in minutes. They kinda resemble a deli sandwich from Jersey! The service was a little slow, but that could have been because we were starving. It's in a great area, and I would definitely recommend and also come back!

Priyanka B.

Yelp
Well balanced sandwich. The winner of the show was definitely the tots and the chipotle aioli. I wish there were more vegetarian options

Danielle A.

Yelp
I've been loving the Durham location and so happy this one opened up near me! The whole complex is new and a hit mess to park in imo but don't let that deter you. All of the sandwiches are top notch and I love their curly fries. I get them with dipping sauce (spicy mayo) and that kicks them up a notch. Can't wait to come back soon! Saw andias ice cream is opening across the way and that'll be an excellent dessert spot to go with your sandwiches!!!

MK K.

Yelp
I want to love this place. People are super nice and atmosphere is clean and open. But the sandwiches are so basic. Mostly bread, no taste, ice cold chewy bacon, one slice of turkey which does not reflect the photos or the price. Whoa! Expensive! Happy to pay tons for a sandwich, but it has to be something other than what I can make at home. Add some flavor please.

C M.

Yelp
Good food. Good service. Very tasty. Parking can be a little tricky. Can sit outside or inside. Even when it was 90 we sat outside and there was a nice breeze. Worth a try.

Stephanie J.

Yelp
If you like their Durham location, this spot just opened a new location in Raleigh Iron Works. It was the dagwood turkey sandwich with a water for my husband, the balboa's cheesesteak with a seasonal lemonade for me and an order of curly fries to split. Most of the sandwiches are available in two sizes, round and hero. Both of the sandwiches were good, I'll have to come back soon to try a few others.

Maggie R.

Yelp
Great spot in a such a good new section of the Iron Works. They have tons and tons of sandwich options, lots of vegetarian, and very customizable! I seem to gravitate towards the fried chicken sandwiches over the chicken cutlet sandwiches because honestly... the bread on the cutlet sandwiches is not great. It might just be personal preference but they need to be serving their sandwiches on a crusty baguette bread and not this soft long tasteless roll bread. If they started using Boulted Bread, I'd give them back a star, haha. The sandwiches are innovate and there's plenty of spots to sit inside or out. Also a great place to grab a sandwich to go before heading off for a hike or adventure!

mark s.

Yelp
Food was decent, but one suggestion.... When someone orders and avocado salad, you may want to put at least one piece of avocado in the salad. Zero avocado on the avocado salad is just a salad.

Tashs C.

Yelp
First time trying this place , went on a Sunday was slight busy but not as bad as I would think, would be better if the menu was larger for view , over all the food was okay !

Sahib G.

Yelp
I stumbled upon Eastcut sandwich while I was checking out Raleigh Iron Works. I got a Italian Sandwich with mozzarella cheese. It was one of the best Italian sandwich that I've. I have gone back several times now and always had a great experience.

JP S.

Yelp
Been hearing about Eastcut from a friend for a while and finally got a chance to go. Love the vibe inside and outside of this place. You know it's good when there's still a line and they've run out of any sandwich that has Turkey. We ordered the Falafel & Hummus Salad, Burrata 'Bout It, & the Balboa's Beefsteak. Everything was delicious AF ! The portions were enough that you could save the other half for a meal the next day. We plan to come back until we try all the sandwiches.

Briana N.

Yelp
Original location and menu were very good. New location is an entirely different feel- very busy with young families on weekends. Food is not as good as used to be when it first opened. Burger looked like someone had sat on it. Cheesesteak was large, but more bun than filling; their original menu had a great salad that no longer served. Different feel, experience and quality than the original days in Durham. Won't make a trip to eat there, but if in the area may try again.

Nicholas R.

Yelp
Large subs that taste amazing for a good price. Fast service. Recommend the Spicy Gabagool

Patty H.

Yelp
Avocado salad with falafel sans bacon. Delightfully delicious and quaint little location

David B.

Yelp
Really excited to have Eastcut in Raleigh now. We were about to drive to durham when we realized this location is now open! Saved us a lot of time driving when this is what we were craving. I have a hard time not getting the chicken parm. It's outrageously good. Highly recommend it and would suggest you add on an additional tomato sauce cup if you like things saucy. I'd also recommend that you get the full size hero instead of the round bun for this one. It's a massive amount of food and you can save half for later. Also tried the mozzarella sticks and they're bomb. My girlfriend always gets the Dagwood and loves it. The curly fries are awesome. Seasoned and fried delightfully. I'd say the only thing they're missing is a fountain soda machine. Would be nice to have a coke machine instead of cans but it's just a minor note. Looking forward to coming back regularly now that this is close to home!

Kristin K.

Yelp
Delicious!!!! So much food! Sweet potatoes tot... out of this world, as is the fries!!!Thought it was kinda pricey but might just be us!

Sean M.

Yelp
I had tried the Durham location once before which I think is the original. That location has really bad parking only because the place is always packed. The Raliegh location doesn't have that problem and is a great place to go for a quick bite. The location has retail shops popping up and would be a cool place to hang out for a while as well. They stay busy too but service was fast. The sandwiches are unique and extremely tasty. I'd definitely check this place out if you are craving a good sandwich.

Jo Ann S.

Yelp
Very overpriced! It was an ok sandwich. The curly fries were good but $5. I won't try it again. The Iron Works looked neat but very few people. There are some businesses with signs saying coming soon so will go back to try them when they open.

Megan H.

Yelp
The food was good and it was easy to order using the app but the prices were a little above what we were expecting. At lunch we ordered 2 sandwiches 2 soft drinks a side salad and a fry. The entire order was right under $60. We wanted to check it out as it was new and we saw a lot of social media hype around it. Although it was clean and well put together aesthetically, it wasn't quite enough to go again due to the price.

Josh B.

Yelp
If you haven't been, you are missing out! If you're a sandwich person or not, you still need to check this place out. They have some many creative sandwiches and they all slap.

Peter L.

Yelp
I've tried some items up and down the menu and finally feel like it's ready for review. Good: -El Gaucho, a special cheesesteak with South American vibe (cilantro, pepperjack, pickled onions) is legitimately incredible. It's hard to imagine the other cheesesteaks won't be of similar quality, if less exciting. -They make their own mozzarella and are generous about using it on sandwiches up and down the menu. -Their sub rolls are pretty solid and up to the challenge of the ton of ingredients they put into each sandwich. -Beer/wine/soft drink selection is solid and reasonably priced -Ingredients are generally good, including Italian cold cuts where that's noticeable. Bad: -Man, for the amount of chicken cutlet sandwiches on the menu, I would expect them to be better. The chicken is pretty bland and with the amount of stuff they pack them with, they end up soggy quickly. [Note this is NOT true of the "southern fried" chicken sandwiches, which are as juicy as you'd expect, but are limited to regular and buffalo (and, temporarily, an orange chicken version).] -When they get busy, you might end up waiting a while if you don't order ahead -The smaller rolls (the 5" round ones) are more reasonable to eat in one sitting, but man they just are NOT as good as the full-size sesame rolls. -Really wish there were some more options for side items besides onion rings and mozz sticks, which don't really travel. It's not the best sandwich in Raleigh, but it has some great menu items and I think most people will enjoy their visits.

Tracy G.

Yelp
I was excited to try a new sandwich place. The restaurant is located in a new development with trendy shops, restaurants, and condominiums. We stood in line to order at the counter and then we went to sit and wait. I ordered the chicken cutlet parm sandwich that was on special. My sister ordered the buffalo chicken salad. When my sandwich came out it looked delicious. Imagine my surprise when I bit into a cold sandwich. I couldn't understand why it was cold. Since there is no server that checks on you there was no one to ask. I will not be back. I think food temperature is a basic safety issue. I would not recommend and will not return.

Mary H.

Yelp
Very nice sandwich place here! Quality bread, super great service, and interesting sandwich combos. I got the Kimchi Cutlet sandwich. It was a mild flavor kimchi which would be super appealing to someone who is not ready to jump into the intense flavor of kimchi. Next time I'll try a sandwich with cheese since they do subtle flavors so well and I recommend getting extra sauce when you're checking out. My daughter was happy with her chicken strips. BE CAREFUL on the slide next door *unaffiliated with East Cut*. Told my daughter she'll need a helmet to go down it again. Very fast.

Christian C.

Yelp
Top notch hoagie spot. Closest to the hoagies you get from Philly. The best in the area. Don't sleep on this place.

Mindi F.

Yelp
It was just ok. We felt like it was lacking seasoning. It's cute inside and they have a lot of outdoor seating. I liked that you could sit and order from your phone at the table. The food came out in a short amount of time and the portions were large.

Ayana G.

Yelp
The staff is really friendly and helpful and atmosphere is very chill and laidback. Also the fried cauliflower and sandwiches are so tasty.

Jess F.

Yelp
We stopped in for a late lunch on Saturday.... After a lengthy discussion with the cashier about their sandwich buns - what has seeds, what doesn't - we decided on a chicken parm on a round roll, buff chicken, mozzarella sticks and 2 Mexican cokes. With tip - $47. The chicken parm came out on a seeded bun. I thought after a good 5 minute conversation about not wanting seeds on a bun it would be ok...but I guess not. I took it back to the counter and they made a new one, which was ok...made so quickly the cheese didn't even have time to melt. The sandwich was a little wet. The Buffalo chicken sandwich was ok - next time I'd get it with sauce on the side. The thicker part of the chicken was seasoned well and the thinner side tasted like it was dipped in salt. The mozzarella sticks were garbage. Almost like they were made first while waiting on the sandwiches to cook and the breading was super thick. The marinara was good though. A little chunky for a dipping sauce though. All in all, I think I'd try a cold sandwich if I go back and I'd get it to go. Was it worth the price? I don't think so...not with the constant flies buzzing around my table.

Mandy S.

Yelp
Some of the best sandwiches in town! I've been here 3 other times since internet foodies pointed me this way. I'd recommend the buffalo cauliflower highly, the sweet potato tots are also tops. As for sandwiches I haven't gone wrong yet - east katsu chicken sandwich with kimchi and pickled onions is great, the southern chicken sandwich also. Even the Avocado BLT salad was good. They have some different beer specials each day, and it's a lovely place to get food and wander over to the tube slide to let your child slide down or hang out. There's a flower shop next door and ice cream across the street!

R M.

Yelp
Staff is great! But honestly, this is just a really overpriced sandwich shop providing pretty mediocre food . I ordered the Milanesa and the chicken was cold and tasted stale. They were kind enough to remake it but overall it was a very bland and underwhelming. Better luck at Ish Deli, it's affordable and WAY better quality .

Lily M.

Yelp
Really cool place with amazing sandwiches. I got the chicken parm and my boyfriend got the The Jet. Both were so delicious. Perfect Sunday lunch. I didn't have time to take any photos because once I took my first bite, there was no stopping me Lol. I can't wait to go back!!

Jenise F.

Yelp
newly developed area - next to the Forge apartments. community style seating but folk didn't linger so spots were quickly available. sandwiches are delicious! 4 Stars b/c the floor was noticeably dirty.

Lindsay S.

Yelp
Giving 4 stars with hope that after some glitches are worked out, they'll be at 4/5 stars. I'm really excited to see a proper sandwich place in NC. They have a good selection, quality ingredients, and while not being as thick as some delis, far surpass the amount of meat etc than most places you'll find in NC. Unfortunately, part of our order was missing. My boyfriend very much enjoyed his cheesesteak. The turkey sandwich was pretty good with hopes of improving. It was really wet, I'm pretty sure they forgot the pesto aioli (which we were looking forward to,) and there was so much spicy pepper (but only any peppers on that one half) that it overwhelmed everything else. The Turkey itself was great and I'm hoping in the future it will be more balanced and have all the ingredients. We'll definitely return and hope that these are just some growing pains for this new location. The sandwiches aren't cheap and they'll probably be worth it if done well with all of the ingredients. Also looking forward to trying the curly fries that were unfortunately missing from our order. The staff was very friendly and courteous. Overall, this place has great potential. We look forward to returning and hopefully this northerner will find a place for their deli fix.

Jaz C.

Yelp
A friend of mine told me about this restaurant and I was interested in giving it a try. In my opinion, the food and service were excellent. My friends and I enjoyed the atmosphere in this establishment very much.

Rachel B.

Yelp
The staff was very friendly!! There were awesome vibes there. And the food was super good.

Kim E.

Yelp
Great staff, nice place to eat outside. Eastcut has excellent beer specials. I've never had a bad sandwich there.
