Great cream ale. This is a great spot as you can bring in any food from the market (seemingly endless food options out there) as you enjoy their beer. Bartenders were very friendly and welcoming. Reasonably priced!

Please change the height of your light in front of the bar TV for people who gather here for sporting events. It obscures vision for your main seating area. Just raise the light cables a couple feet. A ladder and zip ties is all it takes. reply to owner: Glad it got your attention. please update when you've fixed it and I will update as well. its a common sense fix. thanks!

Of all the craft breweries in the Twin Cities, Eastlake Craft Brewery is an unfortunately obscure brewery in the south Minneapolis area. Tucked in on the corner of the Midtown Global Market, they've got a wide assortment of beers, a great sour beer program, and are in close proximity to a wide array of ethnic food options as well. Parking's a bit of a dicy proposition, and bike racks are relatively plentiful — but given our active cycling population in Minneapolis, it wouldn't hurt to have more spaces to lock your bike up to. If you haven't yet been to Eastlake, make a point to check them out. Their beer is really good and worth a visit. Heck, grab a bomber or growler to go. Totally worth it!

Beer is good and bartenders friendly. Warm, inviting space. In the Midtown Global Market so you've got plenty of food choices! Parking in the ramp across the street is free for 2 hours.

I really appreciate their support of the Coldest Day of the Year Bike Ride! I am looking forward to enjoying my crowler of Black Mexican-style Lager!

Google
Eastlake never fails to impress. They feature a wide range of beer types and flavors. The Kirby Pucker No. 8 should be on your list to try if you are a fan of the sour genre. Service is fast, stickers are cool, decor is hip. Christmas lights are still out - happy holidays!

Google
Solid beers that hit every preference. Tropical Sun Dog IPA was delicious as was Kirby Pucker. The service was great. The venue is perfect both in the set up of the bar area and access to some amazing food right in the Midtown Global Market. I’m sure I’ll be back plenty.

Google
Cool place with a few good brews and a handful of average beers in a unique and interesting location. Took a saison and Belgian to go that were both above average. Reasonable prices and while it might not be life changing beer, the options they do have are worth the visit if you’re in the area and the location helps make it worth going out of the way for. The only negative thing I have to say is the flights are pre set. You can not order a flight of what you want you have to pick from 3 pre designed flights with 4 beers in each. Didn’t get that but everything else seemed on point.

Yelp
My wife and I picked up some smoked pork at Soul to Soul next door in The Midtown Market and took it over to Eastlake and ordered a West Coast IPA to start. The lady behind the bar was super nice and gave me a couple of stickers and some good chatting. The beer was crisp and a solid IPA. They had Bod Ross starting an episode of The Joy of Painting on the TV, so automatic plus one. I got the Sun Dog IPA to follow and it was just as crisp and hoppy as the first. Solid beers and a fun atmosphere. I think beers were 7 dollars or so. Great place to take your food from one of the vendors and sit down and have a great craft beer!

Yelp
Love this brewery! Perfect temperature and awesome pour just right up to the rim! Perfection! We love their dark beers here and you can't go back to any non craft beer after this place. The staff is the friendliest and has no attitude. Sometimes you even see the owner and brewmaster hanging out and discussing their beer while dining at all the tables available for all the dining food options you want in the midtown Global market! Do not get intimidated with the neighborhood, the businesses need you and your help to get back on their feet! This is the spirit of living in a city..... we need one another and don't let some bad apple ruin it for us. We love Minneapolis and this brewery represents just that vibe of twin cities! Thank you for an enjoyable beer and a great evening! Cheers!!

Mallory C.

Yelp
Eastlake is a nice brewery with a lot of gluten reduced beer options but geeze, their delivery service takes forever! There are times we have waited over 5 hours to get 4 crowlers delivered to our house. We might as well just drive or ride our bikes to Eastlake if it's gonna take that long. Otherwise, I am a fan of this brewery.

Yelp
I know what the west is like. But what's the Eastlike? I like this Brewery in Minneapolis and the guys working here we're really friendly - it has great Decor as well, like they have definitely properly tried to make it look rustic and European and old-world and hipster all at the same time, so definite kudos to them for all the work they've done on it - but the main problem with this being inside the Midtown Global Market is that it's definitely not in keeping with what is in the rest of the store, which is either genuine ethnic stuff or fake ethnic stuff. I say this because this is all about Brooklyn style hipster style drinking, so it might be better off by itself, in the college district perhaps, and maybe put a sort of Brazilian bar (Buteco!) or a German bar (Bierhaus!) in here rather than something so American. The other main problem with it is the pricing. I don't really mind coming to this food Hall and paying a little too much for some of the great ethnic food but to come here and pay this much for alcohol and a hipster environment is sort of like not in keeping with the rest of the market.

Yelp
Eastlake is a good all-around brewery, and the experience of drinking here is all around good. My review hovers between 4 and 5 stars. GOOD: Eastlake is a smaller brewery and they have wisely limited their focus to only a few types of beer. Generally they make sours, lighter porters, and basic pale ales -- all good. Their sours are especially noteworthy. As good as Wild Minds? Perhaps nearly. And on one or two occasions, better. Their pale ales are never dull, and Eastlake has resisted the trend among other smaller breweries to hide average tasting malt behind a ton of hops. Hoppy beers here are still good. One thing I really like about Eastlake is not the beer at all, but the incredible food court that surrounds it: Midtown Global Market. You can order food from a half a dozen different food stalls, have it delivered to your seat at the bar, and it goes right on your bar tab. Very convenient. This takes beer pairing to a whole new level! Almond milk stout with kofta sandwich? Pale ale with spicy chicken tacos? Yes please! Also good is the location in general. Unlike so many other breweries in faraway suburbs or inconvenient industrial areas, Eastlake is in an actual neighborhood where people live. Any brewery you can actually walk to is less likely to produce drunken drivers. For me, it's a nice 6 block stagger home. MEH: The bar itself can get a bit crowded at times, and that's an understandable circumstance of it's size and location. Be careful to avoid this place during events (like, ugh, trivia night) or if you don't like cyclists (I love them myself but some of you do not for whatever reason). Also be wary of weirdos. Some strange neighborhood lost souls wander in here from time to time, lonely and desperate to discuss politics and imaginary neighborhood things. They are harmless, but best avoided unless you are really bored.

Yelp
One of the better Minneapolis-based breweries. Love the different seasonal, state fair beers they put out each year.

Yelp
Everything I've had from Eastlake I've liked. I first was here when they opened and as part of the taco tour. I really love that they have flights by categories: easy living, hoppy, malty etc because it helps determine the type of beers you might want based on flavor profile. I got the almond milk stout and it was amazing! The combination of the almond milk and nitro was a smoother and lighter stout. Almost similar to when you have a summer red for wine. The flavor had hints of dark cocoa and wasn't heavy. We also got the blue pine which had a nice hop profile without being overrun. I personally prefer beers with light hop profiles so this beer was perfect for me. When we went there was also a special drink for pride. I didn't have it but it looked tasty. Their menu will have any specials listed. Make sure you return any opened bottles or growlers as you get $1 back on your next purchase. Overall, great atmosphere and beers. I'll be going back again for sure!

Yelp
Nice local brewery that's part of the pretty awesome global market. The beer was good. I enjoyed a pretty hop-forward Blueliner pale and sipped one of their signature Kirby Pucker sours (of the two, the latter was my favorite). I appreciated their branding, which gives heavy nods to classic baseball logos and uniforms. There're board games to play if you want to embarrass yourself with your poor vocabulary. There are even a few pinball machines tucked back by the washrooms (that's Canadian for the crapper). Big bonus points for them seamlessly incorporating the many great food options available at the global market into their menu. Mini bonus points for crowlers to go. The only odd thing to me were the price for their flights. For four 4oz. samples it was something like $12, whereas most of the pints were $4 each. And when you ask to sample something, they were pouring pretty nice samples, so I'd go that route and order a pint. I'd definitely go back.

Dale G.

Yelp
I had an imperial stout and tried the Blueliner. Neither one was good. This place is very mediocre across the board. I wouldn't go back. It is not bad enough where I would tell people they should never go but the beer was bad enough to make me never want to come back.

Deya Z.

Yelp
Decent beers on tap and in cans. I was in Mpls for a work trip and it's become a tradition of mine to visit MGM whenever I'm in town. This trip i decided to give the brewery a try. If you're looking to get a bit of work done between drinks, this place had lots of seating and plugs available on a Thursday at 1 pm. The service during my visit was attentive and friendly. Drink wise the saison on tap was pretty tasty. I decided to bring a few crowlers home, and at $21 for 3, it was a steal.

Shelby D.

Yelp
Atmosphere is decent, we came here on a Sunday night and there was a good handful of people. It would be nice during the day because you can head over to one of the food places in Midtown Global Market and grab a bite to go with your brew. I got the Kirby Pucker Sour #21 and it is delicious! We played a couple rounds of Scrabble while drinking a couple rounds.

Angie S.

Yelp
This brewery has an awesome location. Even though you are inside, there is so much light coming in from the windows, you feel a part of the city. We took a window seat to start drinking our flight. There were 2 options, so we tried one of each. I personally do not like IPAs so, I preferred the entire 2nd flight. I drank and would recommend the Arcturan Mega-Saison beer. If you don't drink, but want to join your friends, here you can also have rootbeer and kombucha. I plan to try the one-two punch mix of beer and kombucha next time! Try a sweet tulip size for $3 if you are not sure. Also, take a growler home, even on Sundays, if you are sure!! We didn't realize, but we were there during a MN United soccer game. The place quickly got crowded and rowdy. I also loved that when they were winning pints dropped to $3! Thank you! The style and décor in here is inviting and bright. We brought in some yummy Hot Indian food, but I found out restaurants inside the Midtown Global Market will take orders and deliver it here.

Kevin M.

Yelp
Met coworkers on a Tuesday night. Parking was thankfully free in the east side ramp. Our plan was to have a beer, then head out to one of the many restaurants. We were surprised to see the food menu is in fact food from restaurants inside the complex. Very cool! Two still ventured out for dinner and came back, while four of us stuck to the Eastlake menu. I've had Andy's Garage burgers before, so I got what I know, the Diablo Burger with fries. Awesome. Fries wer large and greasy. I did not ask if I could get it pink, but it was pretty flawless as is, bacon, beef, flavors, tomato, lettuce, sauce and bun. I'll give it 5 stars. The beer. I was thrilled to see four IPAs on the menu. Except the one I wanted, Sun Dogs, a juicy IPA, was out. It went down from there. I sampled the pineapple IPA, Everyone's Invited, which the bartender said would leave a great aftertaste, fell flat and left no aftertaste, but the bigger issue was a lack of IPA taste. I next sampled the double IPA, Dank Aaron, and was again disappointed the lack of an IPA taste, which should have been stronger. I instead tasted one of my home brews I make ... not great, but passable. Better than the pineapple. So, I figured I'd take a gamble and just get the Creedance Tapes APA... it was good enough I ordered a second. If I was a local, I would go back and keep working my way through their other flavors. The place was packed with hip looking Millenials with young kids, so maybe they know something. There is no wait service. You order food and libations from the counter. They give you a number to deliver the food to your table. I loved the decor and wall of kegs. Lots of seating. Easy to order, and food did not take long despite coming from multiple places. The food gets a five, but I just have to ding them a star for the IPAs - being out of their main one, and the others falling flat. There are many breweries that make better IPAs around - not knowing what Sun Dogs tastes like, which for all I know is the best ever created. I would stop by again at a future visit to Global Marketplace.

Katie U.

Yelp
I've always wanted to visit midtown global market and I knew I could convince my husband to go if there was a brewery nearby. Better yet this brewery is inside!! It's tucked in the back corner of the market but close to some of the top food vendors. You can bring any food inside the space to enjoy with your beers. There is plenty of seating at the bar and high top tables. I was also impressed with the number and variety of beers they have. I got the blonde ale and my husband got the pale ale. Both were delish and at par with other breweries in the twin cities.

Amanda H.

Yelp
Not quite sure how I feel about Eastlake. The parking was plentiful and the market has tons to look at. Overall the brewery was pretty quiet and could definitely have used some air conditioning. There were some people from outside wandering about, but it wasn't too bad. The tap selection with THC was really surprising! Definitely new to me! Quite a few people buying beer to-go as well.

Julie W.

Yelp
Fairly decent selection of beer. I got the Kirby Puckett, which was a really nice sour. Our waitress was very nice but it took a little while to get some water. Other than that they provided a nice experience and all the outdoor seating options are appropriately spaced. They are a part of the midtown global market. They have a small food menu (although the kitchen was closed when we were there) You can bring food here from other places too, which is a plus!

Sara W.

Yelp
Eastlake, where have you been all these years? I've always loved venturing to the global market for some delicious eats, cooking classes, or even a craft fair, yet always felt that a brewery would be the best addition. Now, insert Eastlake Craft Brewery. A brewery attached to the global market, where you can even order Taco Cat after hours (and those amazing chocolate & sea salt cookies!). You can stay awhile, play a game, drink a beer or two, and then bop around the market some more. I love the decor and atmosphere of their space-- it's casual, yet inviting, with a great vibe. Overall, the beer here has been really good. And they offer Kombucha on tap too, so you can drink it on its own, or even make a radler. On my last venture here, something was a little funky with the taste of two of our beers. We told the bartender, and she kindly poured us two new beers on the house. One of my favorite spaces in town to venture to for a brew (AND late night Taco Cat).

Dani P.

Yelp
Awesome beer. A full tap list of choices. Kirby Pucker awesome sour. Funky glassware! It's hooked onto the World Market. So, it's a smaller brewery with open concept to the market. Awesome option for food because of sharing the building. We got Samosas and Jalapeño poppers recommended by one of the guys working!

Daniel S.

Yelp
Neat little brewery tucked in at the Midtown Global Market. I didn't even know it was there until I went and saw it when I was visiting the market. It's got a nice view of the street and you can sit and look outside, or into the market, or at the TVs in the place. I did a flight of Half Empty, Stick Style, Sun Dogs, and Nicollet Mauler. All were good. I don't believe they serve food but there are so many food options within the global market that you can easily find something there and just bring it in. Cool wooden decor/seats/benches inside. A cool option to hang out at while at the market

John P.

Yelp
Excellent visit to a fun place. Set in the Global Market this is a really cool place to check out. Great bartenders and a vast selection of different types of beer. I had the Belgian Pale and it was tasty as heck. Really enjoyed it. Then the Almond Milk Stout. This Stout was everything I would have hoped it would be. Something impressive here, the selection. Some brew pubs have 4-5 home brews and then several guest taps. Not here, many different home beers to choose from. Something for everyone. We got a burrito from Taco Cat, 30 ft away, and. Brought it in. Good food and nice to be able to bring in what you want. Overall, fun experience. I will go back for sure.

Kari E.

Yelp
The atmosphere at East Lake is probably my favorite of any tap room I've been to in the metro. I'm not sure why - maybe it felt cozy without being cramped? And it was nice that it was open to Midtown Market (closed after hours, though you can still order from Tacocat and and I think Manny's Tortas.) I thought the beers were good - I'm more a fan of malty stuff and there were only a couple options I was interested in, but they were good. I liked some of the barware (glasses shaped like cans) and it seemed like they had some other interesting flavors on tap (a Vietnamese spice inspired beer, if I rememeber correctly). They also had snacks and a selection of 'craft' sodas. Prices seemed really reasonable as well. They have some kind of sports deal - $3 pints of a certain brew while a game is on? Not sure on the details. If I make it back I'll definitely check out food from Taco Cat though.

Jonathan M.

Yelp
A brewery that's open on Mondays! Eastlake certainly knows how to capture market share for those of us chaps that get thirsty everyday of the week. As any decent brewery, they offer flights so that you can taste their eclectic variety. I've settled for the Blueliner, oh what a treat for my liver.... The atmosphere gravitates towards hipstery, and you can almost always expect a bearded guy to pour your beer. They have some pretty cool glasses with an inward-leaning lip, and for some reason this makes the beer taste even better. If you do get the Blueliner, do make sure to have it poured in this glass, even if the guy looks at you funny and says "really?" Yeah man, really. I take my beer seriously and so should you, This guy really bugged me, but I had such a good buzz going I was willing to overlook his attitude... On a separate occassion I commended the owner for these glasses and he was happy to hear it, as he shared my enthusiasm for glasses that improve your beer tasting experience. If you do get hungry, there are plenty of options in the market just a few steps away, so you never run the risk of drinking on an empty stomach (unless of course that's your thing). They also have some (limited) board games if you're feeling competitive. Definitely one of my favorite spots around town with beer that stands out. Highly recommended.

Chris M.

Yelp
I didn't think I needed any additional reasons to frequent the Midtown Global Market, but it appears as if I was wrong, because now that Eastlake is anchoring one corner of the MGM I have noticed myself meandering its corridors much more frequently. The taproom itself is on the East side of the market on Lake street (hence the really creative name) and is accessible from the market during normal hours and from Lake St when the MGM is closed. The ambiance fits that of the market, save for the mounted animal heads and disco ball adorning the walls. Other than during the occasional taco/burrito/beer battle finding a seat is not a problem. Eastlake has a good-sized stable of year-round beers, with the Blueliner Pale and Mud in Your Eye topping the list of those I'd happily sip on at any time. The seasonals can run the gamut, but if you happen to come across the Kirby Pucker, Stick Style IPA or Increasingly Lost Saison you can be sure they are safe bets. Should you be feeling a bit peckish, the MGM offers plenty of choices to procure a nosh while sipping on your beverage. Should you be hungry and incredibly lazy, you can order Taco Cat directly from the taproom. Service, while occasionally derailed by the holier-than-thou-hipster beertender, is generally quite friendly and amiable.

Yelp
Today I stumbled upon this trendy establishment while searching for strange and exotic foods. It was to my delight after finish my meal I see a sign for East Lake Brewery and the distance was only steps away. Once I bellied up to the bar I spoke to the friendly lady about their ales and what she liked. She gave me a pint of mud in your eye or something which tasted great. She also gave me some stickers and another sample of beer for free. While I relaxed drinking my pint I enjoyed the music of Rodriguez and many other artist I like to hear when in chill mode. Make sure to wash your hands before leaving as they have fun signs in the bathroom and cool led lights while you clean your hands.

Christopher W.

Yelp
Eastlake is a great brewhouse located in a rehabbed department store in what is now the Midtown Global Market. The beer selection was fantastic I am sure you will find one you like, they also have food from the in-house taco bar that is simply amazing. This is a great stop for beer and food if you are in the area.

Joe G.

Yelp
Came here last night and ordered 3 pilsners. I am not a Pilsner fan but these were good. I was craving something lighter than my usual IPA. The ambiance has a modern hipster feel. Through their back door you can see the brewing operation from the outside seating area. The bartenders were engaging in conversation with other customers that look hipster like themselves. Although I was helped quickly on a slow night, the bartender gave off a unfriendly vibe. After she poured my first beers and started my tab, she quickly pulled out her phone and started texting instead of saying "thank you" or "enjoy". The bearded guy in the beanie wasn't too friendly either. When I closed my tab, I was the only one who said "thank you"." I am not one to expect servers and clerks to be engaging with questions to start conversation, but I expect them to make a welcome statement and a "thank you" or positive closing statement e.i., "have a good day." I did pay $18 for the 3 beers. The server on the bill said "E=MC2 I might come back for convenience purposes.

Abe M.

Yelp
I'm excited for this place! I had no clue what to expect when I was driving down here. I've never been to the global market area before and it was a new experience. East Lake is my kind of place. The place had a welcoming feel to it. The decor was almost backwoodsy in the middle of the city. They had suffed animals on the walls, lots of dark stained wood and the beer to go with it all. With eight brews on tap, I would have killed for a flight. Unfortunately they didn't have them and so we were left going down the list pint by pint. Ok, so we didn't try all of them (I had to drive), we only sampled a couple. I started with the blueliner. This was a really good pale ale. I good way to start out the evening. Then I moved onto the Devils Kettle. A delicious belgian IPA. It had just the right amount of hoppiness with the belgian fruitiness. I tasted my buddy's El Armatoste, which is a spiced coffee., but coffee brews are not my thing. He loved it however. There were other brews that were my style that I wish I had tried, like the Increasing Lost Siason, Stick Style or the L'Ogre. I need to go back to try them ALL! The only growlers East lake sold were the $69 steel (classy as all hell) growlers. No glass, but they are willing to fill other brewery growlers if you bring them in, which I'll be doing next time. Otherwise they sold bomber bottles - 22oz, so I picked up a L'Ogre and a Devil's Kettle for later (they didn't last long at home). I'm excited for my next visit and I'll come earlier so I can sample some food pairings with the brews!

Sol P.

Yelp
The craft beer choices and flavors were excellent. The crowd and the ambiance worked well.

Maria L.

Yelp
I like the spot of course Because it is nicely located inside the Midtown Global market. So it's super easy to order whatever food you want from some of the local areas come and sit down and have their delicious beer. Service is decent. I have been many times!

Nancy L.

Yelp
Tsathoggua! Delicious brandy-barrel aged Imperial Stout. Friendly. And they allow food from the Market. We had Moroccan.

Catherine B.

Yelp
I came here because I saw a Groupon. My boyfriend and I live IPA beers and recently Sours have grown on me. East Lake has really great beer, location kind of sketchy. Customers seem great, I wouldn't come around there by myself to meet someone unless we walked from parking together and back. I'm also a hyper aware person, I'm sure others feel safe. My dog liked the patio other than hearing fireworks, but what dog loves fireworks. Will return.

Stephanie M.

Yelp
Beers were pretty good, some interesting/creative brews. Service was TERRIBLE - my boyfriend and I stood at the bar for 10 minutes before anyone helped us, even though there were two bartenders doing NOTHING standing right in front of us. We asked if our Groupon gave us each a flight or one flight to share and the server motioned with his hands at us that it was for two flights and then continued looking at his phone. They didn't take the time to explain that flight boards are pre-set and was fairly rude when we started listing beers we wanted in a flight. Thoroughly upset with my experience here.

Meghan B.

Yelp
Live music on the patio and it is lively inside. They have a wide variety of styles of beer available and offer flight options. Lots of seating available for groups and singles. It is great to bring in food from the global market and grab a beer. Better than any food truck option

Collin A.

Yelp
Eastlake is a solid craft brewery in an unconventional location. It's housed within the Midtown Global Market, a place with lots of restaurants featuring foods from around the world. The brewery taproom is a fairly small space, but it's never too busy, and it's pretty easy to get drinks from the friendly 'tenders. My favorites are pretty much any porter or stour with honorable mentions to Dank Aaron and Kirby Pucker. Probably the best feature is the ability to order Taco Cat from next door for delivery to your table. Or you can check out one of the other wonderful restaurants nearby. This is one of my two favorite breweries in the East Lake hood, the other being Harriet Brewing, which I just found out is closing January 31. Nooooo!

Jacob R.

Yelp
I am not a beer fan at all, but I tried the beer that is 1/2 kombucha 1/2 beer and I enjoyed it! Staff were super nice, it was very clean and we all had food from different places as we visited. The only seating was wood, as with most breweries so that was not comfortable but overall a really cool space!

Krustine M.

Yelp
A good selection of beer. Relaxed atmosphere. Easy to grab some lunch in the global market and take a seat by the window. Great for people watching on a lazy Monday. Around 5 bucks a beer.

Melissa A.

Yelp
I wanted to LOVE Eastlake Brewery so badly. I wanted it to be my new favorite spot because afterall my two favorite things in life are A. Midtown Global Market and B. Good beer. Eastlake was good, don't get me wrong. It just didn't have that "Oh my gosh I am in love with this place" feeling that I have with the overarching Global Market, or that I have with some other breweries in the twin cities. The vibe is cool. It is a narrow space but I feel like they work with what they have. They set up a ledge along the wall where the windows are which would be a great spot for posting up and people watching. The bar is pretty and the decor is cool. One thing I hated was that you have to ask for a key to get into the bathrooms. Something about that just really makes me feel like I'm in 2nd grade asking for permission. I know they probably have a good reason for that, but It made me want to run to the public restrooms inside the market instead. They were kind of busy when I was there so I had to wait my turn at the bar just to ask to use their restroom. It's kind of weird and gas station-y. I debate with the fact that I like a brewery in the market or not. I like that all of my favorite foods are in one spot along with beer. I like that there is a brewery on this side of town, and I overall liked the brewery. But something about it felt off. It's an international themed market, and then we just plopped a brewery in it. Part of me is sad about that because I know that space could have been used to house another food vendor serving food from another part of the world, or a grocery market for other global food, and that makes me a little sad that we missed out on an opportunity to continue to grow what makes Midtown Global Market so wonderful. Anyway, that's my own deal I suppose. On to what you guys really want to know....how the beer was. I tried the Black IPA and it was awesome. It was strong and bold and everything you love about IPA's...plus some! I looked at their seasonal beers and they look real, real tasty. I think I will for sure be back to Eastlake to give it another shot.

Yelp
stopped in this afternoon to use a Groupon. Was excited to not have to fight street parking, web said 90 minute validation for the ramp! However @ noon.....there was a full sign...circled the block looking for other parking....no luck...but by the time I got back, the sign was gone...Huzzah!!! Went in to the bar where the beertender immediately greeted me....great start. He....Mark was a friendly and knowledgable fellow. I tried the Anniversary and the Malty flights....fantastic!! Wen with a Kirby Pucker No. 13 and Tsathoogua....FANTASTIC!! I like the digs, very bright and spacious. So.....friendly beertender.....great beer.....tasty beer....easy parking.....I will be back!!! Thanks Eastlake!!

Yelp
The only annoying thing about this place was trying to figure out how to get in after the market closed. The patio on Lake St. was a bit loud, but we were sitting in a behind a high wall, so we were sheltered from the bus stop that was right next to us. Carrying out the flight of beer on their specially made paddle/tray was precarious, but we made the long walk. Bad thing for the brewery though, was the long walk, since when we were done with the beer, we were too lazy to walk all the way back inside. Their merch was great, but they didn't have the size in the shirt I wanted so I opted for a koozie instead. Never one to pass up Kombucha, we got one for the road and shared it with everyone.

Yelp
Solid brewery that's only a 3 minutes by bike and allows order out from many of the amazing restaurants located within the Midtown Exchange Global Market IE. Taco Cat. Is it the best brewery, no but I wouldn't keep coming back if the beer was sub par. Nice mix of sour, ipa, dips beers that won't cost you $10+. It's exactly what this area needed.

Yelp
Eastlake always has a wide variety of their own craft brews on tap and I have always managed to find something that I like. Located inside the Midtown Global Market you'll find them. Their comfy section is towards the front of the market, facing E. Lake Street. They've got a couple flatsceens too, so you can watch the game while sipping down a brew. Also, big bonus points for location. They are right along the Greenway, so you can bike there pretty easily!

Yelp
I came here on a Friday night to try Eastlake's beer and also for some Taco Cat. The bartenders were friendly and gave suggestions for beer. They had two IPAs on tap, but the bartender suggested the Shoot from the Hip, which was very tasty. I also tried the Blueliner Pale Ale, but I have to say that the Shoot from the Hip was my favorite. The bartenders also let us order Taco Cat from them, so we just had to pay one tab, which made it extremely convenient. The taproom itself is smaller than I expected. However, there is a lot of seating and it was not insanely busy like some of the other breweries in Minneapolis. I would definitely come back here for the beer, the convenience of ordering food from Midtown Global Market, and the friendliness of the staff.

Yelp
Eastlake continues to be the most slept on brewery in the Twin Cities. Their beers represent a variety of styles, and all pull off the delicate balance of being unique but unpretentious. Normally when I find something I like from a brewery, I stick to that -- not with Eastlake. I'm always trying their new stuff, because they're continually upping the ante at what they can do. Blueliner Pale Ale, Shoot from the Hip IPA, Arcturan Mega Saison, and Sweet Sassy Molassy are all personal faves of mine. I also can't go to Eastlake without getting TacoCat, so I really suggest you do the same. Eastlake also earns bonus points with their glassware, stylish branding, and decor. Like other reviews have pointed out, most of the staff aren't tripping over themselves to welcome you. I've been coming here for years, and I can say from experience that Eastlake ain't Cheers. But, I wave that off because their beer really is that good.

Yelp
Best brewery. Best vibe. Best bartenders. Best beer. And they have Kombucha! Patio. Lots of food options since it's at Global Market. Ryan is the best owner and boss ever. It's my favorite place in the world. So don't come here...

Yelp
Not bad and maybe this is a seasonal thing but most of the beers were pale ales with one Czech style Pilsner and one sour. Not much of a variety. It's located in a market so there are plenty of food options around and a few even allow you to order right from the brewery so that's a plus.

Yelp
Happened upon Eastlake accidentally while shppping/eating at the Midtown Global Market. A great location if you want to have a beer with your dinner. They are a very small brewery, but had a wide selection of beer available. And the prices are great! $3 for pints and $2.50 for 10 ounce pours during happy hour. The almond milk stout (all vegan sweet stout brewed with almond milk) was fantastic, as was the barrel aged sour. They also have kombucha available and do blends of kombucha and beer! Definitely a unique little brewery.

Yelp
*3.5 stars* (I know Yelp is against it, but I just really like my .5s!) Location and ambiance ~ No question, this is a great addition to MGB, it's wonderful to have brewery inside and a place to relax with food and a beer. I like the wrap around bar and the wall of windows, even if it just looks out onto the street. This aspect is definitely a plus! Beer ~ Unfortunately I was unimpressed by the beer. It's not bad, just not anything too special in my mind. Maybe it's because the list is heavy on IPAs, which admittedly are not my favorite. Overall ~ I will very likely be back on trips to MGB, but wouldn't go out of my way to go to this brewery when there are others with better beer, in my opinion.

Yelp
A small place but the atmosphere was really cool and the beer was delicious! Friendly staff helped me pick a beer a liked.

Yelp
$22 for a growler of beer! And beer is poor quality. Too many options in MPLS... bike on.

Yelp
I just think its so brilliant to have this place inside the Global Market! Everything about it is so delightfully community driven. The space, the fact that some of the restaurants in the building stay open late to deliver tasty food to your beer table, the locally made kombucha on tap, so great. Anyway, I'm very excited about this new addition to my neighborhood. Great beers with good variety and some rotating, seasonal options. They also serve really tasty kombucha on tap, which is great when hangin' with non beer drinkers (because drinking water is so boring). The space is designed well, is inviting, sunny and also has some outdoor seating! The only downfall- I didn't see any games. Silly detail, I know.
