What a hidden gem. We were driving through Charleston from Florida and this popped up and had high ratings. A little off the beaten path (not much) and pretty small, but it packs an authentic BBQ punch. The people were welcoming and nice. The food we had was amazing. We think these are the best collards we have ever been served, a little sass, some bacon and vinegar. So good. The brisket was very good tasting. I think I should have asked for more fatty like I prefer, but the taste is right on. The ribs were moist and smoky delicious. We tried about all the sauces and the spicy one is great and the mustard one exceptional. Fantastic! Now we have a new place to stop when we head to Charleston.

My son and I made our traditional monthly visit to a NEW barbecue spot and today we headed out to Hollywood, SC for a special treat! From top to bottom, everything we had today at Easton Barbecue was delicious! Proteins…pulled pork was juicy and sweet with a small vinegar kick. Both the fatty and lean brisket had lots of flavor and the bark you got even hints of pepper and salt. Brisket burnt ends always a bonus! The ribs had smoky flavor with great seasoning and a tad bit of sweetness in each bite. The wings, hot honey mustard and a nice dry rub, each delicious in their own way. No dipping sauce required. My son and I both loved the slight crispy skin on the dry rub wings. That daily special sandwich with the shaved pork belly was SO GOOD! Sides…I’m good with many different variations of slaw, but this had a nice mustard kick to it. Pork and Beans (pinto) little chunks of tomato, meat, and spices all throughout. Lots of thought went into those flavor combinations for sure. The pasta salad was so good! Corkscrew noodles with little chunks of tomatoes and Parmesan cheese all throughout. More of a mustard vibe on the potato salad, but I respect the huge chunks of red potatoes. I enjoy many different styles of hash and rice but this had a good meaty flavor with a little sweetness, which I appreciate. Backbone and rice, yes please! The sauces…bold and tangy, certainly lived up to its name. Zing and sting (vinegar) don’t breathe deep 😂. Sweet tooth was really good. Not overly sweet. Alabama white, WOW a different take on this and it’s like no other white sauce I’ve had before. VERY GOOD! Joel’s Gold (mustard) just like the Alabama white, he puts his own spin on it and it’s got a delicious vinegar vibe which I loved.  Dessert…all of my respect in the world for the banana pudding with real banana slices all throughout. The bread pudding was equally as delicious as was the addition of the smoked candied pecans. After about five seconds of chewing them, that subtle smoke flavor hits. Our favorite part of this tradition is trying new styles of barbecue. We all have a preference, but never be afraid to step outside the comfort of your own taste buds and try something new. Go out there and give it a try!

Man, this place definitely surpassed expectations. There were 6 of us and we ended up trying nearly everything on the menu between us all, including a kids' meal. There wasn't a disappointing bite in the meal. Brisket smashburger was so damn good and I paired that with the collard greens, which were phenomenal. I tried bites of the ribs, pulled pork, pork and beans, hash and rice, brisket quesadilla, potato salad, and the pickled carrots/onions that come with the special. Sweet tea was perfectly sweet. I even topped it off with the bread pudding. As great as the food is, the service is equally as good. Constantly coming around refilling drinks, asking if we need anything, and getting us a to-go box. Definitely make the stop. You won't be disappointed. My only complaint is we live in Arizona and I'll only get to visit once a year 😭😭

Best BBQ in South Carolina!! Everything was so good!! The ribs fall off the bone, the brisket is very juicy and tender, the wings are to die for, and the cole slaw is creamy with a hint of tart!! I always make sure I stop by when driving through Hollywood!! Oh and I forgot, my kids love the food here too!!

We stopped in here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon, I recommend to get there early because they do sell out of some of the more popular things. The smash burger and brisket was amazing, and the collards were some of the best I've had. The service was great, everyone there treated you like family, and we will definitely be back (:

Well, it sounds too good to be true!! But the City of Hollywood SC has a Great BBQ Place. We were going to Edisto and happened upon Easton BBQ. What a wonderful restaurant, local family owned and operated. I had the pulled pork, chopped brisket and some bread pudding. I wish I had taken a picture for this review, but wasn’t expecting the great taste. It reminded me of a North Carolina style BBQ. Compliments to the Chef and the Staff. What a wonderful experience. Food was Great!! Kathryn Easton was a real treat to have the pleasure of meeting!!!!! Keep up the Great work!!!

This place is amazing. The vibe, the staff and the food were superb! Tonight they were offering a special which was Ahi Tuna Gochujanj & Sesame Vinegarette Dressing (pictured). I was blown away! I'll be coming back for sure.

Easton BBQ Co in Hollywood is putting out some of the most delicious and tantalizing BBQ I have ever had! Joel Easton is a one-man cooking machine making all the menu offerings by himself right down to the pickled onions and pickles served on each plate. When you walk in you really get the feeling of family as Joel's mom Kathryn greets customers with a warm smile and answers questions and offers suggestions when needed. The whole place glows with southern warmth and hospitality. We started off with their Smoked Green Chili Queso which you can enjoy with pork skins, tortilla chips or both, we chose both. This queso was absolutely amazing with its smoky taste, bits of chilis and a thickness that totally coats the chip with just the right stickiness. If you don't order this dish, you will be missing out for sure! A good way to judge a BBQ place is to order the pulled pork sandwich which is of course a standard. It arrived piled high with tender juicy pork on a nice, toasted bun. I love mustard based sauce, so I went with the Joe's Gold. It was so tangy delivering a little bit of heat and showed definite originality. For my sides I ordered the pork and beans and the hash and rice. The pork and beans had a wow factor, not to be confused with the standard Campbell beans type. These were pinto beans with pulled pork, onions and tomatoes and ate more like a stew. I had leftovers and when I reheated them at home they went well with saltines, definite comfort food! The hash and rice were absolutely textbook with the rice cooked perfectly and the has sweet and full of BBQ flavor. My wife ordered the Colonel, a massive sandwich with sliced brisket, horseradish chipotle aioli, queso and grilled onions. The brisket was thick and tender and swimming in a sea of queso. All the flavors blended well together and made for one delicious bite after another. Be sure to pack some extra napkins as it can get a bit messy but in a good way. For her side my wife ordered the Joel Slaw which is his house made coleslaw. It was a perfect southern delight full of flavor and packing a nice spice kick. Finally, we shared a half rack of spareribs that arrived with a glistening bark. They were fall of the bone tender and even the ones we reheated at home still fell off the bone. For the sauces we tried the Zing and Sting which was vinegar based and nice and spicy. Bold and Tangy which was a true flavor bomb stole the show and lived up to its name. I wished they would bottle it I would buy it by the gallon. If you are craving delicious BBQ which is just as good if not better than Lewis and Scott in a warm southern environment head to Eastons. Get there early though as they are slammed as they open and they can sell out.

The staff are amazing! Had the best service. We ordered ribs, brisket, collard greens, and cornbread. Everything was delicious!

Amazing BBQ!!! Came from Charleston to be local tourist today to visit Edisto Driftwood Beach - was hungry and stumbled upon this place in search of a local lunch spot. We had our dog and was told she was more than welcome to sit outside on this gorgeous day. Everyone who worked here greeted us and was super friendly and attentive. We ordered 1/2 lb pulled pork 1/2 lb brisket side of slaw collard greens and hash and rice with two teas. Everything was delicious and fresh. We had a tiny sample of the pork rinds that came out with our meats and knew we needed to purchase a full bag. There is plenty of parking on site dining inside with clean bathrooms and nothing but smiles. No question we will drive 44 minutes for this tasty BBQ again and again.

We were driving to Edisto when we saw a parking lot full of cars. We stopped in and it didn't disappoint! The brisket sandwich was amazing! Juice and had a crust that was to die for! The collards were on point! Thanks to much

Great new place to get the meat sweats! The brisket and pulled pork were outstanding. We tried Joel's gold sauce and it was perfect with the pulled pork. The collard greens were perfect and super flavorful! Definitely give the place a try!

Got a full rack of ribs, with gold BBQ sauce on the side and an order of collard greens. The ribs were excellent with or without the sauce on them. The crafted gold bbq sauce was also great. That is no small praise, as I usually smoke my own meats and make my own sauces. This is Very Good stuff! The collards, on the other hand, were very "sweet/sugary" and left me wanting something more savory or tangy (vinegar tang, bacony bite versus the sweetness?). Overall, the food was excellent, the people were friendly & service was great. This was our third visit here in the last month and we will be back! :-)

Best bbq place around. Good food and very friendly staff. Will definitely go back. Had the steak sandwich and potatoe salad. And the sweet tea was primo.

Excellent BBQ! Hit them up! Upscale Chef flair on sides and amazing banana pudding. Atmosphere is very welcoming and beautiful space to dine in!
