Eastside Bagel

This was our 3rd time going to this establishment. The food is really good but today I don’t know what happened. They forgot to add our cream cheese onto our bagel sandwich so instead of remaking it to have it on there it was added on the side. The other thing is that I asked for both bagels to be cut in half and only one was. And lastly there was very little to no egg on either sandwiches. Going to have to cut back coming here for a while until they get things like this sorted out.

When I say I want a bagel, this is what i want! Ohmygoooodnesss! I tried for the first time today and it was all so delicious. I tried the Feta bagel and grabbed some salt sticks to go. I also tried the Feta CC the Garlic & Chive CC… I would highly recommend!

Small local bagel joint with big flavors! The bagel selection is amazing and so are all the cream cheeses. I like the chicken sausage breakfast sandwich. The scrambled eggs are so fluffy! There is only one downside, and it's if you're new there and you don't know what you're doing, it's kind of hard to understand. I've only been in there three times, and although three times... I kind of stood around to see what other people were doing to see how they order, and what do they have to order ( menu and bagels)

Eastside bagel is my go to spot. Family owned and family ran. I prefer to avoid big box locations and these guys will treat you like family! Highly recommend

There’s nowhere else I’d think to go to get fresh bagels other than Eastside Bagel! I used to stop in all the time when I worked in Harper Woods and still make it a point for a Saturday morning breakfast run! They have SO many delicious flavors, you seriously can’t go wrong but best to get there early as it can get very busy! The staff is friendly and serves quickly while preparing everything fresh. I absolutely love their breakfast bagel sandwiches- pictured is the Bacon, Egg White & Cheese Bagel with Swiss on a spinach Asiago bagel… SO delicious 🤤 On my last visit they were offering a free bagel with cream cheese to educators for back-to-school so I tried the cinnamon sugar- toasted with regular cream cheese. A sweet, creamy delight! The only thing I didn’t love was the cinnamon roll. If you like straight cream cheese, you will like this. The dough wasn’t that soft and the ‘frosting’ had a goo-like consistency which didn’t melt like icing when I put it in the microwave, but it’s a bagel place. I’ll forever be a fan of their fantastic bagels 🥯

Absolutely delicious, bagels are out of this world, I didn't love some of the cheaper meats, but over all 10/10

These bagels are excellent! And the various cream cheese options are great! I tried these at a baby shower and went the next day to travel home with some. Try one of each like we did and pick up a bag of Dog treat bagels for your fur baby. The garlic and chive cream cheese is amazing! They will be happy as well.

Still not sure why it took me so long to try this place because it's was delicious. I really enjoyed the antipasto sandwich I got it on the feta cheese bagel. I also got a slat stick for later on in the day. This place was very busy when I got there but it moved quickly. Parking is in the back of the building. They did have a few seats available inside and outside. Highly recommend if you're in the area looking for a good breakfast, brunch or lunch...... Delicious one of my new favorite places in the area!

Love. Love. Love. Here's a place that hasn't changed over the years in terms of the quality of bagels or the quality of service. Place a large order in advance or stop in and pickup one for your ride to work. I'd suggest trying the everything bagel, toasted, with the scallions cream cheese. It's my favorite!

Eastside Bagel is always a hit! Their homemade bagels and cream cheese never disappoint and I especially love that the seasoning on the everything bagel is on both sides! I was in the area and realized this bagel spot was nearby! I've heard good things about it in the past, so I decided to stop in. It was around 11am on a Saturday and it was busyyyyy inside. There was a pretty long line in front of me, but I was shocked at how quickly I got through. They had a pretty large staff considering the space, and definitely had a system down pat. I ordered the lox sandwich, and by the time I made it through the line and paid, my order was in my hands! It was the bagel sandwich served with a pickle and bagel chips on the side. The food was good, fairly priced, and service was great! I'd recommend stopping by if you're in the area.

Stopped into Eastside Bagel this morning and got the Lox sandwich. It was my first time here and all I can say is WOW! The bagels are fresh, the lox was fresh-- absolutely delicious. There's so many different kinds of bagels to choose from, which gives everyone an option! The ambiance is small and cute, with booths and tables to sit at to enjoy your food. The service was friendly, helpful, and fast. I also got an iced spicy chai latte and it was perfect for this fall morning! I can't wait to go back here to get a bakers dozen!

Simply the best bagels I've had in the area. Store front style building but comfortable to sit and enjoy a great bagel.

These bagels are so yummy and affordable!! I'm used to NYC bagels and prices so I was delightfully surprised. I got the breakfast sausage sandwich; I personally prefer a lot of cream cheese so next time i'll order extra. They were packed on a Saturday morning but I placed my order online for pickup which I highly recommend!

Really nice bagel shop on the east side. the bagels were tasty and they had some unique flavors. I got a salt and rosemary and really liked it. As good as the bagels were the service was better. Everyone working there was incredibly helpful

This place is a staple! Best cream cheese selection around in my opinion. The variety is awesome. My favorite is the jalapeño cream cheese paired with a salt stick. The staff is great & service is always quick on the way into work. They keep it exciting with specials & new themed bagels like right now they're featured lions bagel, I think that's so neat! Worth the hype! Line was long but went by quick! In a cute little place that has some options for you to eat there. So many options, but they all looked delicious. We were also pleasantly surprised that they had fresh squeezed orange juice and oh it was delicious!!!!!! We got the Lox sandwiches and I definitely will be getting it again!

Great local bagel shop in the shores. They have amazing bagels. The bagel, egg cheese and sausage sandwiches are so delicious I had it on a feta bagel just incredible. I've also had their fresh baked cookies, because when they are right there on the counter they look oh so tempting and I can say they are even more tasty than they look. If it's your first time and get intimidated by the long line, don't be! they get you in and out in no time. Love this place and I go often.

I have been eating their bagels since bagel day in elementary school. The cinnamon sugar bagel will FOREVER be my favorite bagel ever. They have a very wide variety of bagels, cream cheese flavors, breakfast bagel sandwiches and regular bagel sandwiches. Drink options available too. The service is quick, it seems they are always busy but I ordered online. A cool thing I liked was you have the option on their website to pay through cash app. It will exit the site for a second and connect to your cash app once you hit pay it automatically takes out what it needs and all you do is walk in and pick up at the time it says. It gives like a small coffee shop vibes there was a few seats and tables inside and maybe like 3 tables and some benches outside. It's located on a Main Street though and parking is available in next to the building where the 7/11 is. 10/10 Love this place Side note : I ordered cream cheese with the bagel thinking it comes on the side... it doesn't so be careful because they put ALOT of cheese cheese on

I went in for a door dash order and the staff was very friendly. I just want to say I truly appreciate that bcuz I know this has nothing to do with you but I've been having a few rough days recently and that hospitality and friendliness was really uplifting. Thanks!

These are hands down the best bagels I have ever had in Michigan. Nothing starts a day at work off with a smile than one of their fresh, chewy bagels. The cream cheeses are off the hook as well! Veggie, green olive and a sweet almond that goes great on the sweet bagels. We all fight over the Asiago bagel as the center is full of perfectly baked cheese!

I loooove their bagels. Absolutely go early if you don't want them to be sold out - it's worth it. The spinach artichoke was my most recent favorite specialty one, but I also enjoy the seasonal ones (especially fall, not surprisingly). The line is really fast, so be prepared to give your order asap so you don't hold others up - it looks long but they're super speedy even during a rush. The coffee is also pretty good, which imo is not a given for a bagel shop - I had a lovely latte last time. I do wish they were open later though, although I understand it's a morning only thing - even extending the hours til 3 would make it easier to get there during the work day. Still, worth making plans to go out of your way, seriously amazing food.

We ordered catering, and they will be my new go-to for bagels! Everything was so fresh and delicious - bagels, cream cheeses, fruit. As soon as you popped open the trays, you could smell how fresh everything was and the bagels are pretty perfect, even untoasted. The fruit was some of the freshest fruit I've ever received in a fruit tray. I love supporting a family-owned business, and the owner's son delivered our food - he was perfectly on time and friendly. Looking forward to when we can order again!

I live about 30 mins away and my brother lives down the road from this place. I'll head down get a bagel and see if he's home to hang lol. Great bagels

It's no wonder this place is always so busy. They make exceptional bagels but it's how they incorporate them into breakfast sandwiches that will have us coming back for more. The staff is efficient while still making the customer feel like they are the only customer there.

Stopped in Wednesday morning around 610. Thought I would give the place a try. I ordered half dozen everything bagels for myself and some coworkers. They looked and smelled amazing. However we were very disappointed, they had no flavor or taste at all. We also tried their onion and chive spread . Also no flavor. I hope this was just an off day or maybe I was given some day old bagels. Either way I will be looking elsewhere for bagels. Think I I should mention, we are blue collar hard working union workers. Doesn't take much to please us to say the least. So I'd say a place that has bagel in the name should taste better.

Ahhh-Mazing!!!! Sandwhiches were perfectly fresh with a little bit of kick. Staff is friendly. Ambience is welcoming. We got ... bacon egg and cheese chipotle Turkey club And strawberry smoothie.

Ever since the company sold,this the type of food we get, it's so disappointing. Where's the cream cheese?This was not ordered this way. this is consistent in what we get when we go here now. It's a shame we were customers for over 25yrs. To be clear, this is not the first or second time or this time its looked like this. I am done now. Shame on you. And shame on me for continuing to think this would get better

Opens at six. Fresh deilicious authentic bagels. Hot coffee. Homemade shmear! And lox! And smiley happy people! You can't ask for anything better to start your day

Updating my review after 6 years! Recently we bought a house in SCS. I'd be lying if I said the location to our house and Eastside Bagel wasn't a contributing factor in the house hunting search! I go here about once or twice a week. My go-to is still a sesame bagel toasted with Michigan cherry almond cream cheese (Try it! I promise you'll love it!) Although I do sometimes step out of my comfort zone and switch it up with a spinach and feta bagel or even parmesan. My other favorite cream cheese is feta and vegetable. Everything is fresh and so flavorful! I truly cannot think of one bad item I've ever had here. The breakfast sandwiches are amazing. If you have the extra few minutes I highly recommend the egg, bacon, and cheese. It will fill you up all day! Their lunch sandwiches are also amazing. My boyfriend loves the pizza bagel or the club sandwich. I love the chicken salad sandwich. Sandwiches come with bagel chips, which I recommend saving some and adding hummus. Oh? And the breakfast cookies at the counter?? I could eat one every day and be a happy woman! Employees here are the best. Always so kind and helpful. It does get busy on the weekends. Sometimes the line is out the door but don't let that deter you! I promise it moves fast and soon enough you'll have the best bagel you've ever had!

The bagels are as tasty as the ones I used to get in NYC. A great staff too. I dragged myself in on a pair of crutches and a lovely staff member carried my order to my car. Thanks!!!

Breaks my heart to write this review this place used to be way more consistent but the last couple years. The product has gotten very inconsistent. I don't know what's going on with the bagels or what they're doing but I'm so disappointed. Hopefully they'll get it back together.

I was told I couldn't have my service dog here. I need her due to a spinal cord injury. The manager threw us out. They will NEVER get a penny of my money ever again.

Fast, fresh and amazingly delicious. Busy but the wait is worth it. Have not tried the breakfast sandwiches, but they look good.

Bagel was fine but customer service was horrible except employee who took my order.Man at register was unpleasant. He seemed annoyed. There was no welcoming feeling at this establishment as well as an employee with glasses giving me the side eye as if I did something wrong. Felt a bit racist. Won't be coming here again!!!

After several visits, I'm raising my review to 5 stars. In the different times I've gone in morning, hot bagels are always coming our. Wide variety of bagels, sales, sandwiches, soup/chili/ Mac n cheese. I live their Lox bagels, and was pleasantly surprised it comes with pickle and bagel chips.

This is one of our favorite bagel places. However, our May 12th visit left us a little disappointed. They no longer offer the 3 cheese and bacon bagel. Additionally, I just ordered a basic cinnamon sugar bagel w/ plain cream cheese- which was given to me with hot, gooey cream cheese. It was very messy. We were helped by a young man, tall and wearing a baseball cap. We will come back, but hope they can figure out the quirks. PS- the man who usually works at the register is a long term employee, and we have absolutely zero complaints about him.

We went the Friday morning before Memorial Day. They finally had someone who was friendly working the register. The last guy always seemed annoyed that there was a customer trying to cash out. We hope they will start frying their eggs longer so they're not runny and falling out of the breakfast sandwiches. We continue to go there because their bagels are good and it's the only option other than TH in SCS.

Good food, but run by high schoolers. Not a lot of glove changing between tasks, but if you're not scared of a little dust, or meat juice on your food this is the place to go.

I really enjoy a good bagel - yet they seem so hard to come by! Mediocre bagels are a plenty, but a good, hardy bagel is tough to find. Eastside Bagel mixes a variety of flavors (jalapeño cheese, etc) with the classics (plain, sesame seed, onion, etc.) The staff is friendly, place is clean and is easy to get in and out of. I recommend parking in the back and entering that way, far easier and closer than the front entrance. Overall, a great bagel and worth a drive.

I've driven past Eastside Bagel for years, but only just recently tried it. It's fantastic and my new favorite bagel place! Since I tried it during Covid, I think it is important to note that every single employee had their mask on the the entire time I was there. Since I've now been there 5-6 times, I can see this is a consistent practice. In general, the staff is also quick, and very friendly. I've ordered (on different occasions) the bacon egg and cheese bagel, the mango smoothie, the wild berry smoothie, a cinnamon bun, and different shmear bagels. Every single one of them has been top notch. The smoothies are delicious - not too sweet, and bright in flavor. The bacon egg and cheese was nice and hot and the quality of the ingredients was high. The cream cheese is a good texture, and particularly for the flavored cream cheeses, not too sweet, which I appreciate. All of the bagels have great texture and are fresh and chewy. Highly recommend. Will definitely return.

I randomly discovered this place in my neighborhood 1 week ago and I've already been back 3 times. A large variety of bagels to choose from and they're so yummy and FRESH! They make their own cream cheese and they're very rich in flavor and texture. The staff is friendly and they greet everyone. This place gets quite busy on Saturdays; weekday mornings are little bit slower (in my experience). My favorite so far is the Chipotle Turkey Club on a Cinnamon Rasin Bagel! Try them, your entire family will thank you. I promise. Note: the parking and entrance is located away from the street on the pposite side of Harper Ave.

The bagels here are great, which is why I stopped in today. Waiting patiently in line I was deciding on my order when the server waited on the woman and her daughter behind me. Ok, no problem. I didn't say anything. But when the next server asked who was next I waved and said "I'm next" and needed to say it rather loudly because by now the server wasn't right in front of me. Even a customer pointed out that I was next. For some reason the "manager", I guess, felt the need to address me in a "calm down" fashion saying the servers are doing the best they can. Excuse me?! I know they are which is why I didn't say anything the first time! So I left without ordering telling him I recognized the young staff's efforts, and he didn't need to speak to me that way. He said he was "apologizing", which wasn't necessary! I recognized the staff was working hard but I didn't need his "mansplaning" that a mistake had been made. He decided to draw attention to it which to me would've made the staff feel worse as opposed to my answering the question of "who's next?!" No more Eastside Bagels for me! Maybe let the young staff run the shop, instead of the current "manager" who thinks he has customer/people skills!

This place came highly recommended by a friend so I decided to give it a try.. very welcoming upon my entry. The young man knew it was my first time there and he was very helpful! They have a very nice menu but I came for a particular sandwich... all I can say is.. Delicious!!! I will be back to try some of the other menu items.. Five Stars for Service and Food!!!!

Possibly the best bagels I've had in a long time. Their bagels are soft, fresh, and delicious. They have plenty of options and sandwiches as well. Plenty of delicious cream cheese options as well. If you find yourself in a line out the door, it is well worth the wait.

Always make sure I stop here when I'm in town. The bagels are incredibly fresh and reasonably priced. Every time I go, it's busy but they manage the line well and it moves quickly. Highly reccomend. If you have pups, make sure you pick up some doggie bagels!

Nice bagel shop. Great variety and value. Customer service was exemplary as was the price for bagels and whipped cream cheese. I'll go back. Small dining area but enough for lunch crowd.

Excellent bagels and service, if you buy too many, freeze them and they are still great. Plus the variety of cream cheese options are wonderful.
