I had second breakfast and the wife had a cheese burger and shoe string fries. Very large portions. The food was great as well as the service. Will stop by again when in the area.

The chicken fried steak was so tender, just right amount of mashed potatoes and gravy & a homemade dinner roll definitely filled the spot. Service was spectacular and the waitress was a charming.

First time and it won’t be the last! Food was awesome and it hit the spot. Definitely one of the best waitresses we’ve had locally just really attentive and helpful! Highly recommended

Amazing! First time here and everything is spot on. Great food, large portions, kind staff. They even had a nice and smoky hot sauce which was a treat. Best chicken fried steak I've had in a couple of years.

Delicious food and wonderful service! Our office is located in Overland Park and we've used Eastside Cafe twice now to cater lunch for meetings our company has attended in Girard. They make it so easy for me to place an out-of-town lunch order and they're so friendly and accommodating, they go out of their way to make sure you're happy. Their chicken fried steak special with mashed potatoes & gravy, green beans and a roll is a always a hit with our meeting guests. They offer a wide variety of desserts, too! Mandy is who I've worked with there and she's always super nice! Will definitely use them again!

HUGE Portions! GREAT food! AMAZING service! Mandy was our server today and she was just the sweetest and kindest. Will definitely be back! Oh, and try the cinnamon roll, you won’t regret it.

Absolutely phenomenal! I mean stunning and fantastic food! Everything and I mean everything is to perfection and extraordinarily delicious. Gordan Ramsey will need to make a visit to this incredible special gem in Girard Kansas.

While waiting for someone to be done with a meeting, I decided to pop into Eastside Cafe to have a cup of coffee and to get some work done. When I walked in, I was quickly greeted and brought to a booth and brought by coffee right away. The coffee was freshly made and was just what I needed for my afternoon pick me up. I asked the server, Mandy, about their fruit pies and she informed me they didn't have any because of a large order but brought some cinnicenters (box filled with just the center of cinnamon rolls) over and WOW... they were good. All in all, this place was great and a cute stop! The servers were super friendly, the place was cute and the coffee/cinnamon rolls were great. Definitely worth a stop!

What a fantastic small town find!!! Service was great, fellow diners were friendly and food was well prepared. Because we knew we had a big family dinner in the matter of hours but had to eat lunch (road travel timing can be crazy), we decided to split the lunch portion chicken fried steak. It came with a huge roll, large side salad and two sides. The steak was fork-tender!!! Everything in fact was perfectly prepared and was the right size for one, or in this case two who would be eating again in 5 hours. I would definitely stop here again!

It never hurts to give a business a second chance! Breakfast at Eastside Cafe was excellent. The eggs were cooked sunny side up-just perfectly. The biscuits and gravy were tasty. The hash browns were very good. This breakfast was filling and leftovers made for a nice second meal. The waitress was very good. I should have noted her name. No complaints on this visit and I will return in the future.

Onion rings are the best we have ever ever ever eaten!!! Chicken Fried Steak sandwich was wonderful!! Wish we had stopped in before on our travels. Gotta figure out how to get back here somehow!!!!! ps Saw the rolls and oh my goodness!!

I really love the hamburgers and the home made onion rings were amazing! The service was excellent.

Great food ,great service! Mandy was awesome! We ordered the onion ring appetizer, which filled up two to go boxes after we ate on it for a while. Delicious ! We had a cheeseburger and the cinnamon roll was crazy good. Next time we stopped through. heading to Oklahoma. We will pick up an order of cinnamon rolls to take with us.

Eastside Cafe is AWESOME!!! Their drinks are superb! I really enjoy their cheeseburgers! My server lacy was awesome!!! I'm always satisfied with the portions and I'm never left hungry, they really outdo themselves with great service and great food

Found this place on the way to the lake - the fish sandwich and chicken fried steak were great. Good food at reasonable prices and the service was friendly and efficient. Will stop by again.

This is the best breakfast I've eaten in a long time. The Belgian strawberry waffle was outstanding. The vegetarian omelette was also outstanding. This may be the best food in all of Girard, Kansas. I'll give it my highest recommendation. I will eat there again many times. The location is on the Square in Girard next to the courthouse.

Great food even better service. We were in town on vacation for a week and ate there three times! The Server Mandy is awesome and deserves a bonus and a raise!!!

Had a business meeting earlier in the morning and decided to stop here for a late breakfast. I am so glad that I did, the staff were amazing and very helpful! Both Destiny and Felicia were charming and conversational as well as helpful to the popular people tend on the menu. I had the Hogwild skillet from their recommendation and I was not disappointed! Highly recommend for the food as well as the atmosphere! Will definitely return!

Had a great breakfast here this morning. The western omelet is very good. Good, bold coffee just like a real coffee drinker likes it. Service is quick and friendly. Booths are very comfortable. It's a hoppin' place on Saturday mornings but you don't have too wait long. I'm thinking I could eat their gravy on about anything. Deb had the breakfast special for 3.99. Lots of food for 4 bucks. 1 egg, 1 sausage patty, 1 biscuit and gravy and hashbrowns. Can't beat it.

I am hoping to come there in about a week from the Seattle area. I hope we can eat at this restaurant. My boss's g. Grandfather started the cafe. It was started by the Deckers. Do you know about this history?
