A Tuesday evening favorite since 2002, rooted in the Willy Street community. Praised by Isthmus and supported by City of Madison compost drop-offs and Double Dollars, it blends peak produce with music and neighbors on the park’s edge.

Compact farmers market with delightful produce and super friendly vendors. Great spot to pick up a free bin to divert food waste. Recommended

This is my Tuesday stop for eggs, apples, peppers, cheese curds, radishes, turmeric, ginger, bread, tarts, lettuce, chard, onions, garlic, iced coffee, pumpkins and local meetup with kids friends as they run around in the field. It is a small farmers market with 15+ vendors that gently remind you that the goods they are selling are from the farm just picked or pulled out from a hen's nest. Nice people, go often, bring cash and eat food grown close to home.

Smaller than the one on the square but still has everything you'd need to make almost most meals as well as flowers, yarn, and great creative flavored popsicles.

Good selection of fresh salad greens and cheese curds. Bought some hot sauce too Miss the experience of going to the capital farmers market

What a real farmers market should feel like. Unlike the “cattle drive” around the Capital. All the essentials, and more!!

This is a wonderful market and is growing again this summer! Soft launch was yesterday!

Small but some cool products and missing a lot of the 'crap' that shows up at larger markets.

Great deals on local produce!

Yelp
Let me set the record straight on this one! For the last 3 years I have been coming here just about every Tuesday when the market is open. They have just about all the essentials of a perfect Madison farmers market. Farmers Johns' Cheese with its ever popular, extremely fresh cheese curds and award winning cheeses. The Christensen's Farm holds down the organic produce with squashes, greens, cukes, kolrabi, melons, corn, eggs, and always delivers with a smile. Thanks Kady and family and I have had a marketshare with them for the last 3 years and keep returning. Adam at Roots Down provides the tomatoes, sprouts, garlic's, some of the hottest peppers in the world, and everything in between. Origin Bread brings the pizzetta, foaccia, and baguettes, plus some granola. Try the date and goat cheese focaccia, it is pretty bomb. The Bachhuber Family Farm comes with the spiciest arugula around, green salad mixes, herbs, and a variety of other fresh produce. Chrysalis Pops has the local popsicles for sale that acts as supported employment for folks with mental illness and are perfect on a hot day. Sitka Salmon Shares have the Coho and Keta frozen from Alaska. Plus, other vendors have flowers, baked goods, apples and ciders, frozen meats and pizzas, berries, jams, and honey. There is always live music and if you are lucky enough you can catch Madison's own, Beni Daiko, a Korean drum band play some unique tunes! So stop by McPike Park and get to know your farmers and cheese and meat mongers, picnic on the grass, enjoy some free music, have a beer (BYOB), and be thankful that this is the opposite of a food desert. Enjoy!

Yelp
Love this market. It's just big enough to have everything you need and still easy to access. Even has some more unusual veggies, mushrooms, and meat.

Yelp
I really loved the market when it was located in the Wilmar Community Centers parking lot. The food is good the vendors are varied. But I am so disappointed in the central park location of the market. There is no shade, no place to sit, no food or coffee carts, no play ground for the kids, no music, no decent parking, it's not on a bus line anymore, it is absolutely not handicapped accessible, the vendors are set up in such a disorganized way, and the customers of the market are getting harassed by the homeless people who are waiting for the free meal at the Luke House so much so that it makes me afraid to use the near by park rest room. It's really sad.
