We had the greatest night in Vegas, thanks to Eastside Lounge. We were already at the Winn for the buffet dinner on a Saturday night (and it was the greatest buffet but that's for another review). We were wandering around before 9 p.m. and decided to check out the dueling pianos and grab a post-dinner drink. So glad that we did! First off, because we showed up a few minutes before 9 p.m., there were still tables available so we got a great two-seater spot near the action of the piano.
Once the dueling pianos started, we furiously jotted down a bunch of song requests along with a tip and brought it up to the performers that night, Bonnie Mason and Christopher Lash and they proceeded to play our requests, along with the requests of so many others, making for a really fun singalong. Before long, there was a huge line of people just waiting to get in, singing and swaying from outside the bar.
In the early part of the night, the crowd was a much older, quieter crowd, but after a couple of hours, we had a big rowdy group of younger people and it could have gone all wrong, but instead it livened things up and made it very memorable. Strangers were dancing with each other, old people with young people, the performers were HILARIOUS with their banter. I don't know if it was the stiff cocktails or the company, but I felt like "These are my people" and we aren't all so different after all. It was beautiful! And the night lit up with songs like "Sweet Caroline" and "Don't Stop Believin'" and "Piano Man." We stayed until after 1 a.m. when they had to take their first break. It was a magical evening and when we come back to Vegas, we will make sure to put this at the top of our list.
