4 Restaurants and Bars to Try This Weekend in the Bay Area: June 7 - Eater SF

"Weekends at Golden Gate Park just got a little sweeter with the addition of the Geez Freeze truck, which serves frozen delights across from the Conservatory of Flowers. Thursday through Sunday from noon to 5 p.m., parkgoers can stop by for a plethora of seasonal treats, perfect for beating the heat. They’ve got soft serve, ice cream in waffle cones, sundaes, Coke and root beer floats, and Italian ice with flavors that change throughout the season. If you prefer a frozen drink, the truck has that too, with different types of hot cocoa as well as a large assortment of daiquiris, with flavors such as mango habanero or watermelon cucumber." - Paolo Bicchieri

Google
Rating is more about the price than the quality. While the froyo is thick and delicious, you can easily spend double what you would have at a traditional ice cream shop. They have a good amount of toppings, though a few of them definitely needed to be restocked or cleaned up. While I enjoyed the Vanilla-Chocolate Custard swirl, I think there are other places in the city with better frozen treats at a far more manageable price. Just not worth it for myself.

Google
The best frozen yogurt I have ever had. In my life. Can’t wait to go back. Saw reviews that said it was pricey, but it’s really not too bad. Pretty standard SF prices.

Ivan Martinez

Google
The perfect treat for a day at the park. The process was fun and simple. Pick a flavor, cup size, toppings and enjoy. Staff was kind enough to give out free samples. The Vanilla Bean flavor was my favorite.

D M Smith

Google
The cutest yogurt shop I've ever seen. Delicious ORGANIC ingredients, a super plus for that! Loved it.

Google
Total Score: 5.100 Ambiance: 3/5 Small and quaint Food: 2.5/5 Froyo was decent and the toppings were diverse. But the flavors were kinda meh. Mint was interesting but not something I would actively want. Wished there were more fruity flavors Wow: 0/1 Normal froyo restaurant Total Score = 3.5*AM + 6*FOOD + 0.5*WOW

Google
I’ve been coming to this place ever since they opened, what i love about easy breezy is that they’re always changing their flavors. Friendly staff too! They don’t have a lot of space inside to dine in but they do have outside dining so that makes up for the small space they have inside. Friendly staff too!

Sam Dluz

Google
Lulu is the SWEETEST and KINDEST staff I have ever met. She’s extraordinarily welcoming and kind. Amazing customer service and I will be coming back!! & the yogurt was good of course

Kenzie Maroney

Google
this is the best place ever. the workers are the SWEETEST and most understanding people ever. their yogurts are also amazing and the topping selection is top notch. their prices are also so reasonable i can’t count how many times i’ve been here best place ever!

Yelp
Easy Breezy Frozen Yogurt is in a prime location for people to come in any time and any day. The yogurt place itself has bright walls & cute decorations for the holiday season. They had special flavors, and I tried peppermint mocha along with mochi, cookie dough, popping boba, mini M&Ms, and sour gummy trees as the toppings. The cashier was really sweet, and we had a nice conversation about our lives and our plans for these colder months. The peppermint mocha was a really good yogurt flavor and I wish they had it all-year round! Whenever I am around in this area in Inner Sunset, Easy Breezy Frozen Yogurt is a dessert place I enjoy visiting and using my stamp card for.

Yelp
I was walking down Irving St until I saw the Dole Whip sign at the corner of my eye. Immediately had to stop and check it out. It's a tight shop, but there were lots of customers inside with a few tables and chairs. Currently priced at 98 cents per oz. The dole whip was refreshing and had the perfect amount of sweetness to it. You can really taste the pineapple flavor! I also got the tart/vanilla yogurt mix and candy cane/eggnog mix. The tart wasn't tart, in fact I didn't find it sour at all? The candy cane and eggnog were good seasonal flavors, and I think it tasted even better mixed cause it helped balance out each other's sweetness. They have lots of toppings to choose from. The cashier was nice and gave us a stamp card for our next visit. Great job with the advertising, I'll be back to try other flavors!

Yelp
718 Irving St San Francisco, CA 94122 (at 8th Ave) Cool little frozen yogurt shop in San Francisco's Inner Sunset. I have reviewed 25-30 fro-yo places in the SF bay area, and this is probably the smallest place I've seen. But it has everything jammed into a small space. It even has benches for enjoying your dessert indoors. There's also a parklet outside. I met up with a Yelp Elite friend here on a warm Sunday afternoon. She's also a big fro-yo fan, and we wanted to share a first time experience at Easy Breezy @ Irving St. This place only has four machines, but offers unique flavors you won't find anywhere else. OCT 2024- Price per ounce- 98 cents My friend encouraged me to sample the unique flavors like Ube Tiger, Darth Choco Orange, and Witches Brew (Pandan). I went with: Choco/Vanilla swirl, Ube Tiger, and Darth Choco Orange, with some jelly balls. The frozen yogurt had a dense and creamy texture. Not very icy, and very little chalky after taste. It's good fro-yo, with unique flavors. Customer service was super friendly and attentive. Two young ladies were working at the front. They answered all our questions. Overall a great 1st time experience here. I would return if I'm in the area. Easy Breezy has other locations in the SF Bay Area. I also visited the Easy Breezy in Los Gatos.

Yelp
This was a solid four for me but came highly recommended from several friends!! I'll have to revisit when I'm not pregnant in the case that my taste buds may be off. I tried some of the sweeter flavors (red velvet, cake batter, chocolate, etc.) and then piled on the toppings. The homemade scooped cookie dough is something I've never seen at a frozen yogurt shop before! It was pretty good ! And was safe to eat (no raw eggs as confirmed by the worker up front and the one in the back). I'm sure we'll be back at some point!
google avatar

Yelp
I got the Original Tart + Tiramisu with Strawberry Poppers, Fruit Pebbles, & Crushed Oreo Frozen Yogurt. The toppings were good but the actual yogurt flavors themselves were average. The original tart is super sweet, and the tiramisu tasted more like watered down coffee.
google avatar

Yelp
Such a cute place to get your froyo fix on a hot and sunny day! I opted for their original tart, passionista and Mexicocoa, and it did not disappoint! Cashier was nice and friendly and I was in and out in no time!
google avatar

JC G.

Yelp
I don't eat dairy, so I'm dependent on their vegan flavors. I tried Red Velvet last week and didn't like it. Disappointed that it's the flavor this week. The other vegan flavor is strawberry which is okay but boring on its own. It'd go well with vegan coconut, vegan coffee, vegan vanilla bean, vegan chocolate, etc. Anything but the red velvet. Vegan pistachio would be good too.

Yelp
finally found my go to fro yo spot in the city!! YES. this city needs more fro-yo places and I'm glad to have discovered this one. I love the variety of toppings and the consistency of the yogurt is amazing! smooth and creamy
google avatar

Jasmine S.

Yelp
Amazing frozen yogurt shop! The original tart was my favorite, and I also enjoyed the pistachio flavor. They have a good range of toppings although I do wish there were a few more fresh fruits, a lot of them ran out by the time I was there. The shop has a decent amount of outdoor street side seating. I would definitely be back if I lived nearer!
google avatar

Karlee J.

Yelp
Love this place!!! The froyo flavors are good but the toppings are where it's at!!! The house made cookie dough is to die for! Also lost the cheese cake bites and lots of syrups etc. Love the rotating seasonal flavors!!

Yelp
Easy breezy is officially cancelled! Please see all screenshots posted below. This crazy owner has the nerve to message me and tell me I am trying to scam this establishment. I have ordered from them 7 times in the last year. I have attached all of my bank statements from grubhub (I get $10 a month with my Amex gold card) Since I live abroad, I always order my parents food for pickup since I can't use the credit in Europe, where I live. When my parent went to pick up the yogurt, the cashier said they had canceled the order (screenshot attached) They then offered my Parent the yogurt since she went all the way there and I was unable to order it again as I'm 10 hours into the future. A few days later, I get a message from the owner saying she's going to call Uber eats and the police to file a restraining order. Like what?? Delulu !! Obviously we make enough money to not have to scam a yogurt place of $10. After asking her for proof of her allegations, they could not provide the receipts. I do the ALL the receipts posted below. Included is my history of grubhub orders. The sept 19 order that said "cancelled" is because they didn't have the flavor and THEY cancelled (screen shot attached) I then ordered another one with a flavor they had. Screenshot also attached. How they would do this do a loyal customer is absurd. I'm low key thinking the owner and establishment are being racist since we are asian. I will just wait here for the apology. SMH

Yelp
EXPENSIVE! I didn't even get any heavy toppings (like cookie dough, PB cups) I forgot to look to see if the scale was tared because they have a sign ON THE SCALE saying 'only one cup per weigh in' SCAM. Be careful. Just go across the street to Super Duper and get a delicious organic shake for a lot less.
google avatar

David K.

Yelp
Good nice fro yo. Creamy and the favors are hard to beat. Comes in good size and you manually choose your toppings and ice cream. They give out free water tattoos. Service was good ambiance was good.
google avatar

Roop K.

Yelp
This is definitely a super underrated spot in sf. The yogurt I've had here is super creamy and honestly their prices aren't too bad either. Sometimes they have non dairy options that are way better than the normal ones and the peanut butter one is definitely one of those. The flavors are rotating so you won't always find the same ones.
google avatar

Sally Y.

Yelp
Always a treat to have froyo and Easy Breezy brings out all kinds of flavors, including cucumber mint!! At the end of the day, it's always original tart that delivers as the best flavor for me. Self serve, weigh and pay. Cashier is always pretty friendly here. Plenty of room to sit outside so you can watch the N go by. Remember to punch a store card, so you get one free at ten holes!

Kira U.

Yelp
Love the Vanilla Custard flavor! It does get pricey really fast adding anything more than simple flakes
google avatar

Margie L.

Yelp
Original tart with some chocolate custard and all the chocolaty toppings. I see they don't have blueberries any more. Some indoor and outdoor seating.
google avatar

Ranjan P.

Yelp
It was okay, edible but not worth raving about ... I got the vanilla bean and lemon lime, both were passable but not creamy enough, nor as each name implies "custardy" enough. My husband got their chocolate, which was full fat made with whole milk and had more tooth. He liked it a lot, but it's hard to get him to dislinke anything with sugar, so not sure how much of a ringing endorsement this is. What I did love is that they have serve yourself dispenders and they charge you according to how much it weighs. I love this, rather than those places which charge according to the size container you get, which is wasted on me since I only ever want a few spoons. The interior is neat clean and has a few tables both inside and outside. We went when it was dark and very cold for a SF night. The place was full of students, the service fast and matter of fact. Parking is very difficult. The prices, because you get charged depending on the quantity you buy, are fair. Btw., one aspect which I had not seen in any other frozen yogurt shop is they have little cardboard dividers, which you can place in your cup in order to get multiple flavors--the flavors don't run into each other--it's one of those innovative ideas, kinda like posit it notes :-) where it's so simple yet so necessary you end up wondering why everyone doesn't do it :-)

Yelp
I tried Easy Breezy with my friend who is a loyal customer for the first time. This was a perfect fix for my sweet tooth! I would say the yogurt is a little on the pricey side, but the service was friendly, there was a good selection of toppings, and the yogurt was delicious.
google avatar

Richard K.

Yelp
Such a perfect spot for me since I'm lactose intolerant - I usually splurge and get tons of the original tart flavor bc I'm a strong believer that nothing beats OG flavors - but they usually have around 5-6 more flavors that rotate through depending on the month Also rn they are doing a deal where you get these cute reusable bowls (see pics below) @continued discount prices though I'm not sure when this will stop . Don't forget to get a stamp card (10 yogurts = free cup?)
google avatar

Angelica R.

Yelp
Bit pricey but hey it's sf .. good dessert tho cute location! Feels like something missing tho.. prob the brownie being too sweet for me

Yelp
The kids wanted frozen yogurt, so that was a good excuse for us all to get some! Stopped in at Easy Breezy on Irving after having brunch in the area. There weren't a lot of flavors offered, but enough for the kids to be happy. Seems that all the flavors were geared toward children (vanilla bean, chocolate milk, birthday cake, peanut butter, and banana chippy); there were no fruity flavors that I would've preferred. Regardless, I had a small container of chocolate mixed with the banana chippy and a small taste of birthday cake; it was okay, but I missed having a more fruity dessert. The kids were happy with the huge selection of toppings they happily piled on top of their choices, so that was a plus. Another plus was the friendly young lady at the counter. Might stop again if I'm in the area, but I'd prefer a nice fruit flavor!
google avatar

Aziza R.

Yelp
One of the only self serve frozen yogurt places in SF! Really good rotating flavors with fun toppings. Also very clean and good indoor seating options.
google avatar

Victoria T.

Yelp
I love frozen yogurt so much that I will single-handedly revive the frozen yogurt industry myself. Little pricey at 94c/oz, but great rotational flavors and topping bar is always superb and well-stocked. I have gotten my punch card stamped 6 times this week.
google avatar

Katie H.

Yelp
Such a great old school place. I thought frozen yogurt places like this were extinct!! Self serve with tons of toppings. I always go with the plain tart flavor, just str8 yum.
google avatar

Jimmy C.

Yelp
Easy Breezy, lemon squeezy!! This fro-yo parlor was one place I might come back if I'm in a mood for self serving myself. If I were to have which flavor to choose from as a frozen sweet treat, I prefer vegan. But a man such as myself was adventurous, thus I choose unique flavors as if I'm having a taste test. First up was the Moscow Mule, which is vegan. You'll be surprised to realize it's more than just a coconut milk everyone has tasted; it's tart like sherbet. Then I chose vanilla bean, which is more than just a vanilla bean. When you look closely at its high protein content, it contains high probiotics, hemp milk powder, and 9 essential amino acid. While authentic Mexican vanilla bean from Xanath Ice Cream was robust, Easy Breezy's vanilla bean packed a beneficial punch. All 3 of the same Easy Breezy were open for business since the pandemic restrictions have eased a bit this year. The one in Noe Valley has 2 benches on opposite sides, which I couldn't get to at this time. The other in West Portal is close to get to with less outdoor seating. Here in Irving street has an outdoor seating with such a wide space to enjoy one's fro-yo. Other than toppings, a friendly male staff makes a satisfying customer service.
google avatar

Belle C.

Yelp
We love this place. They always have new flavors and oh so many fun toppings. It's a reliable go to for a tasty treat of whatever size i choose.
google avatar

Upendo G.

Yelp
I had 4 flavors. Only 1 taste ok (Disneyland Dole) the rest tasted sour. I feel like I wasted my money $25.00 for 2 cups (1 large, 1 medium, a cone. My kids played it with Vanilla Bean. But, don't wanna go back again.
google avatar

Sydney R.

Yelp
Self serve. Had two vegan options for fro-yo. As far as vegan options go the also had one sauce option (peanut butter sauce) and some toppings (Oreo, strawberries, etc) It was super delicious and the worker was extremely efficient.
google avatar

Binh P.

Yelp
Fun little neighborhood addition. They serve self-serve froyo by the ounce with tons of toppings ranging from candies to fruits and sauces. They rotate specialty flavors weekly but always have basic flavors like original tart, vanilla, or chocolate everyday. You can also ask for samples of the froyo. I always get original tart with a pump of peanut butter and scoops of mini mochi. It may sound weird but I have thought about just buying cupfuls of the peanut butter sauce; even though technically I could just microwave my own jar of peanut butter. I usually average $10 whenever I get something from the store so do with that what you will.
google avatar

Maryam B.

Yelp
I loved the flavors. I tried 2-3 different flavors and finally I got chocolate , Nutella and churro one . I will be back again .
google avatar

Gabriella M.

Yelp
The last couple times I've been here, Jeanette (not sure how to spell her name) was working and she is so sweet! Big shoutout to her. The frozen yogurt is always great, I've been a long term patron. Just wanted to shoutout Jeanette!
google avatar

Alyssa M.

Yelp
Love the original tart! Also tried their seasonal Cotton Candy flavor today and it was to die for! You can't go wrong here. So tasty and good ingredients too!
google avatar

Yelp
Very last minute stop for dessert as we waited for the bus! We probably wouldn't come back if we were in the area, but it was a nice stop as we waited for the bus to come. Ambiance: The shop exterior is nicely decorated, with blue fences that attracted our attention from the bus stop we were waiting at. It's small, clean and quiet with few tables nearby. Flavors: Very small selection. I ended up getting original tart and vietnamese coffee. The vietnamese coffee didn't have the bold taste of vietnamese coffee at all, maybe just light coffee flavoring. Price: Relatively, I found it a bit on the pricier side at 0.94/oz. However, I am not from SF so perhaps that is the average price for the area :)
google avatar

Ashley M.

Yelp
One of the best foroyos I've ever had. Cute little shop the girl that works there is such a sweet heart
google avatar

Emily R.

Yelp
Yogurt is good! Prices are too high. a small cone of ice cream, no toppings. $5. I saw 3 people pay over $30 for 3 medium sized cups with toppings.
google avatar

Ellie S.

Yelp
Yummy for yo that wasn't too expensive but there weren't many options. Pretty standard stuff.
google avatar

erika e.

Yelp
Every time I come here during a work break they are never open on time. Maybe they should just change their hours to 1:10 and 12:15 instead of 1 and 12. The frozen yogurt is great once they do open.

Katie S.

Yelp
Had some delish ass vegan caramel frozen yogurt here! I added in some oreo pieces and it was so delicious! My partner had the vanilla frozen yogurt and loved it as well. fantastic and quick service, we will definitely come back and possibly get one of the pints they have to take home
google avatar

Olivia B.

Yelp
Just fantastic. Ride your bike here and you'll feel like a child again. Don't forget to ask for a punch card! I appreciate that they always have delicious strawberries cut up in the toppings bad. Also try the cheesecake bites they're delicious.
google avatar

Narissa A.

Yelp
VERY GOOD1 I really like coming here and think that it is a tasty option. Good flavours and the employees are so nice. here.
google avatar

Erin M.

Yelp
Great spot for frozen yogurt with toppings by the ounce. Two rotating vegan options are available at all times. Each flavor gets two weeks before it is rotated out. Sometimes the flavors are fantastic (chocolate almond, cherry marzipan), sometimes they are not so great (turmeric citrus?) but it's just so nice to have options as a vegan. I'm thrilled this place is in my neighborhood, the Inner Sunset. A few vegan toppings are available too: fruit, Oreo pieces, toasted coconut, nuts. The people who work here are super friendly. Between the atmosphere, the vegan soft serve yogurt, the toppings, and the convenience to my apartment, this just might be my favorite spot in the Inner Sunset.
google avatar

Julio B.

Yelp
This place really hit the spot on a hot afternoon! You can always teach an old dog new tricks, because now I know where to go

Sana T.

Yelp
tasty frozen yogurt! the store itself is very small but there's a good outdoor seating by the street. there's only a handful of flavors and only two which are vegan, but all the flavors I tried I enjoyed. the black sesame and tart ones were my favs! one docked bc i wish there were more dairy free flavors :(
google avatar

Denise C.

Yelp
Easy Breezy has had several locations in SF. I think one of them closed in Noe Valley or the Castro..not sure..but I have been to Easy Breezy for frozen yogurt and it's fun..the attendant was a bit distant today, but I still went for a treat and picked a flavor I don't remember now. It was a light treat and I had a cake cone.
google avatar

Paulina L.

Yelp
Loved how cute the establishment was it made me feel right at home, the vibes were it. The flavors though were kinda questionable and had a small selection, I recommend the Vietnamese coffee flavor and it was 9 dollars for 2 cups which is great compared to other places where I pay 12 for just 1!!! Would come back if I was in the area :)

M A.

Yelp
This place is SO GOOD. A pleasant refreshing surprise. The custard and yogurts taste clean and fresh. My favorite was the lime basil, WOW! The vanilla custard is well worth the calories. Service was friendly and welcoming. Can't wait to go again.

Yelp
Was craving froyo again today. After a botched experience at Loving Cup, I decided to come to Easy Breezy Frozen Yogurt instead. I'm glad that Easy Breezy had vegan options in addition to their dairy-based options. When I visited, they had apple pie (cashew-based) and s'mores (coconut-based). I also liked that I was able to sample their flavors before I decided what I actually wanted. (Caveat is that you have to ask the employee behind the cashier to grab samples for you.) Unfortunately, I also thought the froyo here was just OK. It satisfied my craving for froyo, but I left regretting not having gotten something else in the Inner Sunset (e.g. SF Hometown Creamery, Holy Gelato). For me, the flavor I got (s'mores) tasted really artificially sweet. The texture was creamy, but it melted too quickly for me to enjoy it. All in all, Easy Breezy Frozen Yogurt was decent... but not a place i would readily visit again.
google avatar

Eva L.

Yelp
I love Easy Breezy so much that I have contemplated moving to SF. My friends think I'm crazy that I get so excited about froyo, but you would get excited too if you finally found quality yogurt. During my last visit, I tried snickerdoodle, chocolate custard, salty dog caramel, and Vietnamese coffee. Since I don't get Easy Breezy often, I went a little crazy and filled up my small cup with as many flavors as I could handle. It's not a cheap treat ($6 for half a cup), but it's worth it for the flavors. My favorites were the salty dog caramel and snickerdoodle. Both had such an intense flavor and were delicious to the very last spoon. While the froyo here is delicious, I would recommend coming at a less busy time. When I visited, there was usually only one person working, so there was a wait to try the samples. Or if you are like me and impatient, you can go ahead and just fill up your cup to your heart's content.
