"The South Lamar location closed for the summer while operators undertake plans to “remodel and refresh our space,” according to an Instagram post. The Easy Tiger in the Linc remains open; the post did not indicate a date for when the South Lamar spot will reopen." - Courtney E. Smith
"Before WTF Sporting Club, the East Seventh address was a location of the Austin-based beer garden/restaurant/bakery mini-chain Easy Tiger. It opened in early 2021, but in early 2024, it announced it would close in April 2024. Co-founder and head baker David Norman explained it had to shutter because of weather issues and higher cost of operations. Easy still has its Linc and South Lamar locations." - Nadia Chaudhury
"The South Lamar outpost of the bakery/biergarten mini-chain has the same great eats (pretzels and beer cheese) and beers but with an added bonus of Greenbelt views." - Nadia Chaudhury, Darcie Duttweiler
"While the Linc location of the Austin bakery and restaurant mini-chain is perhaps the most lively, the South Lamar locale of the biergarten and bakery in Barton Hills has sweeping views from its second-story patio, which might be best enjoyed after exploring the meandering Barton Creek Greenbelt. Takeout and delivery orders can be placed online; there are indoor and outdoor dine-in services. Closest trail: Barton Creek Greenbelt (Barton Skyway and Spyglass Drive, Barton Hills)" - Darcie Duttweiler
"In light of higher food costs due to inflation, Austin mini-chain Easy Tiger, decided to lower its food prices, as announced by its newsletter last week. As it details, this means that the big pretzels went from $14 to $7, leaves of sourdough bread from $8 to $6.50, draft beers from the $7 to $11 range now to the $6 to $8 range, and more. The email notes that these changes are “thanks to the determined efforts of our team.” as well as its food and drinks partners such as Barton Springs Mill, Hudson Meats, Austin Beerworks, and more. Though, earlier this spring, there were 26 employees who quit the restaurant mini-chain because of clashes with new management, as reported by Chronicle." - Nadia Chaudhury
