16 of the Hottest Places to Eat Brunch in New Orleans Right Now

"There’s a brand new, seven-day-a-week brunch spot in the Warehouse District — that also specializes in whiskey. The menu is whimsical and creative, from the dishes to the brunch cocktails — for instance, a Pig Pop Tart with cochon de lait stuffed inside a pastry drizzled with a Crystal Hot Sauce glaze (there’s also quiche, biscuits and gravy, a Creole omelet, avocado toast, and more). For cocktails, the Cereal Milk Punch, Y’all is pure nostalgia: bourbon shaken with cereal-infused milk and rimmed with crushed cereal. Brunch is served 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily." - Eater Staff

I came in for brunch before my flight and I couldn’t have asked for a better place to be. The staff was amazing! Special shoutout to Whitney who made a really good French75! Highly recommend ordering that along with the Caesar salad with salmon and add chopped bacon. If you happen to be in town and need a place to check out, I highly recommend.

My room in Marriott’s wasn’t ready and it was pouring, so I grabbed breakfast here: avocado toast with sunny side up! It was great. The reason for 4/5 is they weren’t organized. I was told I could order, then…. The kitchen is closed, then no you can order. The bartender who helped me was great. She went out of her way to find me milk for my coffee! I was a bit disappointed at management.

Nice new spot. They were still going through some rookie pains when my party visited but the staff was very nice. Cereal Milk Punch was strong and you get to choose between Apple Jacks, Froot Loops, Coco Puffs, Rice Krispy, and Frosted Flakes. Food was good.

Great atmosphere but the food is not as delightful as the decor. It is missing that certain flavor that leaves you wanting more. Good but not great. Nothing that WOWs; pretty forgettable, disappointing.

Had a chance to eat here while recently at a conference. The drinks were tasty and had a good pour. All the salads and appetizers I had as well were delish. The true gem of this place was the bartender/server Whitney. She always maintained a great smile while providing top notch service. Being kind isn't always a given these days and she deserves recognition.

Don’t trust Eater- this is just a bad hotel restaurant in a Marriott. Let this crazy looking pig pop tart (which looks nothing like the website) speak for itself. It was truly horrible.

Went here because Eater named it one of the best brunch spots in New Orleans but I’m not sure they even had the experience of sitting down for a meal before including it in their list. Upon arrival, my server talked me out of trying the bourbon with cereal milk breakfast cocktail (she made it sound like it’s disgusting). Then once we ordered food, they forgot our pig pop tart appetizer course. Not the end of the world, as the banana fosters french toast and the creole omelette were good, not “best brunch in New Orleans” good, but slightly above average nonetheless. However once the pig pop tart came out toward the end of the meal, I decided I had to leave this review. What I thought would be a blend of pork, apple, hot sauce and pastry flavor turned out to be a sugar cookie with pork stuffed inside — super disappointing. I would give one star, but our server was very accommodating and understood that we did not enjoy our experience. I used to work in hospitality and I don’t want to tarnish a restaurant when I know the employees are doing what they can, but this was a truly bad experience, and I wouldn’t recommend eating here unless you have a credit from the Marriott it’s located in.

Yelp
Stopped in for a quick snack and cup of green tea. Service was excellent! Hummus was hummus and green tea hit the spot. Place is a soothing bar environment and has lots of seating. Nothing to write home about but if you want great service, see the new gal!

Yelp
I was greeted by the hostess upon entering. Everything was clean and the decor was beautiful. I chose the shrimp and grits. I received a large serving that was piping hot. The aroma was tantalizing before I had an opportunity to take my first bite. Very flavorful. The shrimp wasn't overcooked like many places. I highly recommend trying this place.

Yelp
Avoid. We saw this recommendation on Eater so we headed here for breakfast. It is located in the lobby area of the Marriott, not a separate restaurant. We were the only patrons in the restaurant, got service from the bartender, and ordered "The One" sandwich and the biscuits & gravy. Our bartender kept going back to the kitchen and reassuring us it would be a few more minutes. 45 minutes later, we still didn't have our food. Frustrated, we left. The restaurant has some serious issues to work out.

Yelp
The food was inedible. Everything was burnt. We ordered the chicken and waffles and the pop tart. The pork inside the pop tart was well seasoned, it was just hard to get to because the pastry was burnt. The waffles were burnt. And the chicken had been cooked so long it didn't resemble chicken. I think it was left overs reheated, but worse. Super bummed bc this was on an Eater list, but I guess you can't believe everything you read... We sent it all back and walked along for more palatable fare.

Yelp
This restaurant inside of a hotel. We came for breakfast, and were seated right away. Our waitress was attentive & friendly. It took a while for our food to come, but it was fresh. The breakfast quiche was delicious, the chicken and waffles come with a pepper jelly that definitely has a kick to it, so good.

Yelp
Claudia, the bartender, is amazing!! Her drinks were delicious and the insightful banter about New Orleans was a total bonus :)
