Where to Drink Guinness in Baltimore This Holiday Season | Eater

"Ceiling string lights make this Locust Point bar festive year-round, while the Mexican and Asian fusion cuisine make it more than your average bar. Eggrolls and Tacos, which also goes by the acronym E.A.T., takes your taste buds on a culinary journey with a daily selection of fresh egg rolls, Japanese fried chicken, and tacos stuffed with fillings like carne asada, tequila-lime shrimp, or chile-garlic tofu. Grab a pint and a high-top table to watch a college football playoff game or test your knowledge on Wednesday trivia nights." - Julekha Dash

EAT Eggrolls and Tacos in Locust Point offers a fun, laid-back spot to catch a game and grab some food, though it didn’t quite have the welcoming vibe I was hoping for. I went with a friend last Sunday to watch the second half of a game, and while the atmosphere was lively and sports-filled, the overall feeling was a bit more neutral than friendly. The space is bright and colorful, and while it’s small, it’s roomier than it looks from the outside. Nestled in a neighborhood, it seems like it doesn’t get too loud, even during game time. We grabbed bar seats and got service pretty quickly, which was nice. Both of us ordered different flavored margaritas, but neither tasted much like the flavors we chose. That said, they weren’t bad drinks, just not what we expected. The Sunday bar menu was smaller than I assume the full menu is, but there were still enough choices to find something appealing. I opted for the carnitas nacho and, although the meat was salty, they were tasty. My friend had the Pollo Asada Caesar Salad, and judging by how quiet they got once it arrived, it must have been just as good. Parking was a bit of a challenge, but we managed to figure it out. Overall, while the food was good and the space lively, I felt like the atmosphere could have been a little more inviting.

Visited after a soccer match between our club and theirs...friendly staff and patrons. Will visit again the next time West Ham United plays Ipswich!

I've been here a lot and always enjoy myself. They have a great selection of tequilas and a good menu variety. My personal recommendations are the cantaloupe-infused margarita, and for food either the Thai chile fried chicken tacos or (believe it or not) their Smashburger.

This location has a great atmosphere and very friendly staff. Everything we ate was delicious, especially the steak in the tacos which was so tender and flavorful. My only recommendation to management is there is some missed potential. People love tacos and eggrolls -- the menu only has about 2-3 flavor options for each, and they're on the simpler side. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but there's a lot of room for creative flavor options (not just proteins and fillings, but also toppings like slaws and sauces) that can be seen at other restaurants.

Food 10/10, Drinks 8/10, Portion Size 6/10 This was the first time going to EAT since they recently opened and I was very excited as I am also big fan of Barflys (same owner). All of the food was amazing and I think the Asian, Mexican, American fusion works providing plenty of unique options. EAT definitely capitalized on this in there menu. Even though the menu is small there is plenty of variety and specials to always have something new. The margarita was good. Can’t wait to see what their drink menu is when it gets released. Only suggestion is the increase the portions of rice with the tacos. 1 order of tacos is almost enough for dinner.

Google
This has become one of my favorite locally bar/restaurants. The Thai chicken tacos are the best! Also, it's the only place you can get broken heel on tap which I really like.

Best bartenders ever! Great food, Wed-Fri they have sushi from the chef at Kona Grill. Great atmosphere, it’s a welcoming and pretty place.

Tourist from the West Coast and I Left the Orioles game early so I could get to this establishment EARLY (9PM) because it's advertised open until 10pm. No one in the service industry appreciates that 950pm crowd coming in ordering a full menu. I walk in at 9 and everything is closing down and they have no food. If you're gonna close at 10 but close at 9 advertise it. 9pm kitchen is done. Don't be a bunch of clowns wanting business and coming up short an hour late

Yelp
Super delicious neighborhood restaurant! They are new and the staff is very friendly. I am obsessed with the Thai chili fried chicken tacos! They're out of this world! I have to order it every time I go! Also, the bang bang shrimp egg rolls! You have to try! So good! The theme is very traditional Mexican style when you walk inside, you can park for free outside in the neighborhood, but parking is limited if you want a close spot. The restrooms are clean, and you can see inside the kitchen which is also very clean. Overall, I highly recommend coming here, one of my favorite little Baltimore gems and I don't even live in Baltimore.

Yelp
The staff is very friendly and attentive but the food is underwhelming. You're paying a premium for what tastes like low-quality bar food. I will say that the concept is a great one but the portions are small for the price--six tacos and four egg rolls for almost $70 is eye-popping. The eggrolls and tacos aren't better than other options in town serving either as stand alone items. As a happy hour, this place may be a better option but the regular priced menu is disappointing for the quality of food you're getting. I will end on a positive note and point out that the dining room is bright and inviting while the bar is a well-kept secret for watching games.

Yelp
Really awesome neighborhood bar with the best margs and fun trivia nights every Wednesday! My favorite thing to get here are the crispy chicken bites- you can get them tossed in a number of sauces and they are so perfect. Love going here with friends for trivia so definitely recommend that or just if you're looking for a chill lowkey but really good spot for drinks and food!

Yelp
This place is good!! I've now been twice when visiting friends in the neighborhood and the cocktails are delicious, the food is super consistent and the portions are great! This go around I had the nachos with grilled chicken which were fresh and delicious! Last time I was in town I had sushi (I believe they only serve it on weekends maybe) and it was full of good flavor. I'll totally be back when in town again!

Yelp
What a great find! Charming neighborhood spot. We visited late Saturday afternoon and it was fairly quiet so we took a seat at the bar. Many options on offer sports playing on the TVs surrounding bar. Our bartender was friendly and attentive. We picked two egg rolls to share. The cheesesteak and the Thai chili shrimp. Both were tasty but the Thai chili shrimp was my favorite. Then we split the carne asada taco of the day. Again filled with deliciousness and a bowl of bean and rice were served on the side. They have a variety of infused tequilas so my husband tried the jalapeño margarita with a tajin rim. I opted for a skinny margarita which was very refreshing. Next time I will have to try the Ranch Water or Orange Crush. I highly recommend EAT Eggrolls and Tacos if I lived in the neighborhood it would become a staple but this North Baltimore girl will happily make the trek down to Locust Point to eat here again!

Yelp
Consistently great! Friendly and fast service, varied specials menu, good drinks. Place is usually pretty crowded. My one suggestion would be to add hooks under the bar tables for jackets or purses.

Yelp
Eggcellent. The egg rolls are sublime. What an invention. Nachos are substantial and good. Nice people. Nice area to walk around. Walk your dog.

Yelp
First time here, haven't tried the food yet, but the atmosphere is good. Menu looks tasty, and service is friendly, but prices leave something to be desired. They don't have a happy hr yet, but said they will be adding one soon, so that may improve. I loved over the menu, but I wasn't ready for a meal, and didn't want to spend $10+ on a snack. The beer I got was fine, but for $7 it left a lot to be desired. I will check them out when a happy hr shows up, or if I hear the food is really good, but for now, it is a decent place that isn't worth it for me :/ Also, minor feedback, if someone asks what is on tap, plug the good local beers. I was sad I bough a lagunitas after later learning they had crooked crab. Would have felt much better about spending $7 for good local beer instead of mass produced stuff I could get anywhere :/

Yelp
Two of my major food groups Tacos and Egg rolls. No wait, it's egg rolls and tacos. That's the correct order. If I were to open a restaurant it would serve egg rolls, tacos and bagels, all three of the major food groups.

Yelp
Finally got the chance to check this place out and boy am I glad we did! Service was awesome. They have specialty infused tequilas, so my husband and I each got a margarita with one (I got jalapeño, he got pineapple. Both delicious) Egg rolls- we got the shrimp & pork as well as the Buffalo. Both were great but I think the Buffalo were definitely a favorite. Now something I wouldn't have picked but the bartender recommended- Poke Tostadas. These were fantastic. I will probably come back for these specifically. Overall, great place. 10/10 would recommend. Spacious, comfortable, friendly atmosphere. AND BONUS: kid friendly Will be back very soon!!

Yelp
The servers are SOOO great and friendly. The bartenders get 5 stars. They were so nice and efficient The food was kind of mid. The corn dip was decent, and the wonton chips were fire. But the rest was like white people tacos. The queso seemed to just be velveeta- if u like that kinda vibe it's good but I was looking for more

Great food cute place service was good as well!- My son was being a bit picky and they were so patient with him

Yelp
Fun new place in town! This is a great place to stop and have a drink and some snacks and hang out with friends or coworkers. Very spacious and the staff is super friendly. We tried a few of the different types of egg rolls and the wings! I especially enjoyed the wings! Go check it out!

Yelp
Great food. Friendly service. Very cool atmosphere. Just one of those neighborhood places you want to keep coming back to. Definitely worth checking out. I mean, who doesn't love tacos?

Yelp
I tried EAT for a take-out order and it was just ok. I ordered 2 different tacos, 2 different egg rolls, and 2 different quesadillas. I was hoping to be blown away by the eggrolls and tacos since that's the name of the place but they were all average tasting (minus the rice and beans. They were so bland. Completely void of salt or any other seasoning) the bar was packed when I walked in and it's a very cute spot in that lovely neighborhood. I don't think I'd order take-out again but I'd stop by for a drink and a small bite if I was in the neighborhood. ‍

Yelp
Newly opened place in Locust point. It's meant to be a fusion of American, Asian and Mexican but it just feels like 3 people putting their own individual items on the menu. They have a few good things like their taco, buffalo chicken egg roll and alcohol selection. The portions are kinda small. Been here twice now but will wait a few more months before going back. Had the shrimp taco but it wasn't anything amazing, the first time there was too much lime marinade and the second time it was way too dry. Also had the chicken burrito which was much better. The egg roll was also good as was the tuna tostado. But again both are small portions There is no drink menu so you just ask and they tell you if they have it Service is also spotty, like we got our food but no silverware or plates. The ambience is nice to go have a drink and hang out but wouldn't go there for food just yet, it seems they're still figuring out what kind of food they want to serve

Yelp
once again 10/10 lunch at EAT! the specials are always inspired and delicious! also highly recommend the sushi

Yelp
I wanted so much to love this place. I've visited twice, and the food remains to be meh. On my first visit, I ordered the grilled chicken wings. The skin was rubber-like, and could barely be separated from the meat. On my second visit, I ordered the grilled chicken wings again. The meat was dry, and stuck to the bone. I just don't get it. Darn. I really wanted to love this place. The bartender/server was a little too familiar. "What the f*ck do you want to drink," he asked my 82 year old dinner partner. "F*ck" was nearly every other word. So weird.

Javier B.

Yelp
Great drinks and food! You can taste the freshness of all the ingredients! I'm back every week to try the different specials!

Payton A.

Yelp
Service is great and good beer selection. But the food and specialty drinks leave a bit to be desired. Was excited to try one of the margaritas as they are always promoting them on IG, but they tasted too much like a store-bought mixer. Will probably return to give the food another shot and to get a beer on tap!

Brooke P.

Yelp
A great place for food and drinks! Their eggrolls are excellent with the thin flaky outside. The shrimp tacos are delicious and filling. The grilled wings come with a very large portion and a delicious Thai dipping sauce. Last but not least, the margaritas are delicious, plus they're only $7! Highly recommend.

Chris B.

Yelp
Excellent tacos and egg rolls. So pleased to have another great spot in Locust Point. The staff is friendly and attentive as well. Looking forward to spending more evenings here.
