My daughter suggested this cute little Italian restaurant when I was visiting her in Atlanta. It is in a strip mall on North Druid Hills and it doesn't look like much from the exterior.....but the dining area inside is classy and also has a full bar. They also have a nice little partly secluded patio with an outside bar.
The menu was full of pizza and pasta options, as expected, but they also had many meat and seafood entrees, soups, and salads. I actually ordered a Greek salad, which I was surprised to see on the menu at an Italian restaurant. It was really presented well, and huge! I had the grilled chicken added on top, and it came with lots of fresh cucumbers, tomatoes, pepperocinis, kalamata olives, and feta cheese. I loved it and was very happy with my selection for $20. My sister had a small house salad and the hot Italian sausage appetizer. She thought the salad was good, just a typical house salad with Italian dressing. The sausage was very good; but not very big. (It was an appetizer portion, but really only enough for 1-2 people.). My daughter had the chicken piccata which had a lovely presentation; but she thought it was just ok too. She said that the wine flavoring was a little overwhelming and there wasn't enough lemon flavor. It didn't taste like a typical piccata sauce. It did come with some additional breadsticks on the side. Her boyfriend had the spaghetti with bolognese sauce and he said it was amazing.....he really loved it.
Overall our service was very good, and everyone was fairly happy with their meals. The prices were reasonable so we will most likely give Eatalanio Kitchen another try next time we are all in Atlanta.
