"The Local Pizzaiolo, a Neapolitan pizzeria located at the Toco Hill shopping complex on North Druid Hills, has closed. The closure happened a week after Thanksgiving. The restaurant was run by former general manager Alessio Lacco on behalf of owner Giulio Adriani. Adriani had listed the restaurant for sale last year but later considered transforming it into a full-service Italian restaurant. Future plans for the brand in other locations like D.C. and New York remain uncertain." - Beth McKibben

The inside was a bit crowded, so I chose to sit outside. Glad I did! The covered patio was nice and warm, thanks to the heaters! Food was the usual fare! The bread, though fresh, was plain. Other than removing meat from a dish- to make it vegetarian, they stick to items on the menu. Service was great. They came around often to make sure we were good. Those long community tables are perfect for large groups!

Google
Wonderful place for a meal. We had lunch here and sat by the fire place located in the outdoor seating area. This is a little more expensive than the chain “sit down” restaurant but the food and Italian atmosphere are outstanding. There is an indoor and outdoor bar arrangements that is great for a meal. We had a lunch special spaghettini marinara and meatballs (sorry photo taken after I started eating). My wife had shrimp scampi that had a dozen large shrimps. Service was excellent.

Google
The food looked appetizing but was so disappointing. The broccoli was undercooked yet greasy, the spaghetti itself was good and flavored nicely, and the breadsticks were cold. Definitely not what I expected overall.

Google
Only the service gets this place these 2 stars. The food was awful. Over cooked pasta. Under cooked pizza (cheese not melted and pure white) with odd tomato chunks in place of sauce. The lemon sauce on the pasta was watery with no substance. The appetizer tasted good, risotto and cheese. Our server was just so nice

Horrible experience! We ordered takeout and the estimated pickup time was 8:10pm. We arrived on time to a bewildered staff member having no clue about our order. (The staff member at the bar was happy to take our payment right away, however.) At this point, we were told that it would be an additional 15 minutes for our food to be ready- not a huge deal, it's Valentine's Day so that wasn't a huge surprise. I'm 9 months pregnant so I waited in the car and my husband went back inside. We ended up waiting nearly a full hour longer than our original pickup time for two pasta dishes, asparagus, and some garlic bread! The worst part is that they got my order completely wrong- I ordered a simple spaghetti with vodka sauce and received a shrimp scampi? The staff was so rude to my husband without any apologies, she told him that HE should have planned better because of Valentine's Day! Totally ridiculous. I've worked in many restaurants over the last 20 years and it's well known that Valentine's and Mother's Day are two of the busiest days of the year and it is THE RESTAURANT'S responsibility to be prepared. I feel sorry for all of the couples eating there tonight who probably had to wait forever for their food. Total disappointment and no offer of any compensation or even an apology. Pathetic! (Picture of the $7 asparagus because wtf 🙄)

Google
Charming and comfortable decor with some flair, plus attentive wait staff and tasty food. I had GF pasta, which always makes me sad at an Italian place (GF can be tasty but it's just not the same), and their Bolognese with a side of asparagus was delicious. The outdoor area was a plus - it was heated behind plastic curtains, and would have been nice for a longer meal.

Google
Food was great and the environment was even better. The happy hour menu only has appetizers and full bottles of wine. ( a select few bottles).. kinda pricey for lunch for two.

Went for dinner with a party of 4 at 6:45 pm on Wednesday, 8/28/24. It’s in a strip with lots of parking. We sat outside. The patio is nice, but it was hot. I got the Eggplant Parmesan entree ($19). I wanted a side salad instead, but the waitress said that wasn’t an option, so I chose to sub vegetables for the spaghettini. The veggies were eh. The carrots could’ve been softer. The eggplant wasn’t crispy. The bread it came with was also eh. My friend got the Chicken Presto Pesto sandwich and that looked better. Hers also came with a salad, which looked good too. We also split a $40 bottle of wine, which wasn’t worth it. I don’t feel the need to go back.

Yelp
My friend and I found this gem when we were walking around The Battery. We got there during a good time, it wasn't a lot of people there, our waitress was amazing, a very nice lady from Hungary. My friend and I had a couple of 6oz wines and 2 entrees, both of our entrees were amazing even though we couldn't make up our minds on which food item would be amazing. I'm just going to assume all of the items are good, we will be back for the seafood pizza! If you're going for a chic vibe, this is the place you'll want to be. A romantic night out or just a girls night like we did, EATaliano is an amazing spot to add to your list

Yelp
Service was very good The food was terrible. Mushy frozen broccoli, thin runny tasteless Marcella sauce Dried out and overcooked chicken I hate to complaint but am wondering if the chef was off the day we went?

Yelp
My mom and I came here on a Friday afternoon while she was visiting in town. I had intentions of trying this out since it is so conveniently located and has appeared to be of a quaint style. We opted to sit outside after speaking with the kind hostess but we honestly should have been inside due to the incessantly relentless flies. I am not sure if this is an issue all year around or if we came at a bad time. After requesting some suggestions from our kind waitress, we tried their Fried Fresh Mozzarella which came out piping hot an deliciously fried. Both their Seafood Linguini and Chicken Marsala dishes each had two long slices of soft and chewy dipping bread. As perfect for soaking up the yummy sauces, they probably would have been better on separate plates since they quickly become soggy if left on the main plate. Between the two dishes, they were both heavily seasoned, with slightly more salt than necessary, but still well-rounded dishes. Overall, we had a pleasant experience were it not for the interested insects. I will certainly be coming again and suggest others to do the same!

Yelp
Mediocre food and horrible service. Made us wait for over an hour and then got the order wrong. Never going back there.

Yelp
We had a fantastic experience at EATaliano! The food was absolutely delicious, especially the spaghettini bolognese--highly recommend it. Sophia, our server, was a delight; her warm, bubbly personality made the evening even better. She was attentive, kind, and really added to the welcoming vibe of the place. Jason, the manager, was just as wonderful--he came by to check on us and even offered a complimentary round of drinks on our next visit! We'll definitely be back for brunch soon.

Yelp
Jeri was simply AMAZING! She was my bartender and our waitress. My daughter wanted pasta on this fine Sunday afternoon and based on where we were located, YELP brought up this establishment as a suggestion. Which was spot on! We had the option to sit outdoors or indoors. Jeri greeted us, sat us, bartended for me and served us. She knows how to multi-task. My daughter's food and drink are not pictured. However; from my daughter's she had the best "Shirley temple!" I am awarding five stars for the service and environment. I'm awarding 4 stars for the paper menu and flavor of the seafood linguini. I prefer a crisp laminated menu as the wear and tear shows on paper menus. As a healthcare professional the crinkled paper makes me think, WHO TOUCHED THIS, when I should be enjoying my dining experience. I was so hungry that I ate all of my food despite that "tastebud kick" I was looking for. Pictured is the NY Cheesecake. I didn't take a bite because the Chardonnay was my dessert. Try out the seafood linguine and let me know what you think. I'm curious to know if I should try it again. JERI, 5 STARS!

Yelp
We had some company from out of town and wanted good food, with good service and a great atmosphere as well. I had the steamed mussels and my friend had the Chicken Piccata. All of us enjoyed the food and service very much. If you haven't tried this place yet you should.

Yelp
I found EATaliano Kitchen while walking around, and I'm so glad I stopped in. It was a nice day, so I got to eat outside on their cozy patio space. My server, Bethany, was very quick and attentive. I had the Fettucine Alfredo, which was tasty and filling, and Tiramisu for dessert, which was sweet and light. A delicious meal to cap off the day!

Diamond C.

Yelp
Chicken Marsala. It was good and a generous amount for the price. You can't remove the mushrooms from the dish (just an FYI). Loved the music.

Caleb H.

Yelp
Great wine selection, service was attentive and quick. However the Risotto was a little too cheesy for my taste, and the balance of portion sizes on the bruschetta was definitely off making the flavor balance off. Still tasty in both regards but not as good as it could be.

Kelly K.

Yelp
Cute little place! Staff was kind and attentive. Everyone was pleased with their food and dessert.

Aisha W.

Yelp
Only the service was good. Food not good at all. Me and my friend both didn't eat our food, not upto expectations

Ray F.

Yelp
The food was good but the wait time for an online order was ridiculous. My order was. It ready until 25 minutes after my quoted online time. I really do my best in loving EATAliano but my visits there are always hit or miss. The atmosphere is nice and intimate which is a plus. The other times I've visited the service has always been just ok.

Chinwe K.

Yelp
The food is delicious! I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and the calamari fritti for an appetizer. I enjoyed everything I ate. I also had a cocktail that was really good as well. The service was good and the restaurant was nice as well. I'm adding this place to my repeats.

Christine Malmos - R.

Yelp
Food is really good and wine was great. Service was a little slow the first time I was there but very attentive the second time. I love their covered patio and if you can sit in front of the fireplace, it's a nice romantic setting.

Kat W.

Yelp
Went with my parents and sister on a Tuesday night. I had passed the restaurant many times but never tried it. Convenient with ample free parking - a lot in a shopping center. I had made reservations but there was no wait. We were seated immediately. Server was friendly and had good recommendations. We started with a couple appetizers, arancinis and calamari. Both were good. Entrees were decent size for the price. All food came out hot and seasoned well. My only complaints would be 1. the breadsticks that came with the entree came out on the same plate and were soaking up the sauce from the pasta - would probably prefer it separately so it wouldn't get soggy after a bit, and 2. the lemon that came with the chicken piccata - the lemons still had the rind on them and the whole slices were on the chicken hidden under the sauce so you could have easily eaten whole slices of lemon, rind and all... Overall good experience. Would come back again.

LaTasha A.

Yelp
Online menus looked great. Made reservations. Excited. Arrived and was seated. Things started to go downhill. Waiter wouldn't spilt checks for the party of 3. So we just decided to split things into 3rds and make it easy. We still gave 3 tips. Waiter would not validate 3 parking passes. But remember, we paid we 3 credit cards and gave 3 tips. Waiter had an "attitude" that wasn't appropriate or appreciated. Ordered the seafood linguine. It was too full of lemon juice from the lemons squeezed on top of it. Couldn't enjoy because of that. Risotto was full of mushrooms.

Ty'kia B.

Yelp
The atmosphere was nice overall. Very cute set up , staff was very friendly, prompt and service was fast. The quality of the food however was garbage. This a nice place if you're already drunk .. sober would be a high NO. Not real authentic Italian food. by the demographic preparing the food no real culture of Italy . I had the seafood linguini in a wine sauce. The sauce was thick like Alfredo, lacking seasoning and the noodles were overcooked sticking together . The food was very bland . Did not finish eating food at all . When tasting a wine sauce the expectation is something that thin, flavorful & light .. The bread was honestly the best part of the overall meal. Chipotle or just cooking at home would've been a better dish than this.

Cara R.

Yelp
Absolute amazing service and amazing food! Atmosphere was great as well! I will come back every time I am in Atlanta!

Kiera A.

Yelp
My family and I dined here with last minute dinner plans. The menu was not unique, service was average, and I was not able to finish my entree because I simply didn't enjoy the textures; it was a large portion and largely cream, soft cheese, and pasta but it was overall mushy. It's a fine place to eat if your expectations are managed for a standard "Italian" menu.

David Y.

Yelp
Possibly the best pizza I have ever had! I ordered pizza margherita with anchovies, and it was amazing! The prices are reasonable - you get what you pay for here. The drinks are good and the service was relatively quick. I would definitely go back, and I might just get that pizza again! The other people in our party got various other items from the menu, and while I can't comment on the flavors, they all looked delicious and I heard no complaints. The atmosphere was not exactly quiet, but it wasn't overly loud either - good for a date or a group of friends.

Karla C.

Yelp
We went right before Christmas eve. The place has a cozy vibe and the staff was sweet. When I called in, they did warn us that the kitchen to the waiters and bar was short staffed so there might be some delay. We accepted but we honestly never thought the wait would be what it was. Though we knew everyone would not get their food at the same time, we had many with wrong orders or no food received at all. When we received some dishes, they were cold so I don't think we got to enjoy the food to its full capacity. Again, we were warned in a way but still, not the best experience. Don't want to know it though, my brother is a fan of the place and says it's usually pretty good.

Lauren O.

Yelp
We walked in and saw how pretty the patio was! We decided to eat out there. It's fully covered and decorated. All of it food was great. I got the chicken parm and it was such a large serving. It came with some bread that was alright. The service was good but not great. Would definitely come back to the patio to try more options as the menu was very extensive.

Elton H.

Yelp
"Forget about it" this nice little Italian restaurant is a solid little spot at the battery. I enjoyed the meat and cheese board and a grilled chicken Greek salad. The board was great and lots of variety. The salad was good but not great the chicken was a little dry but had good seasoning

Jackie H.

Yelp
I really and truly enjoyed my meal here. The atmosphere was nice, the service was good, and the food was way above what I expected and was quite delicious. We began with the fried calamari (unpictured because it got devoured before I could get that shot in). It was seasoned and fried perfectly and was very tasty. It came with two sauces. One was marinara and the other was a white sauce that I didn't mess with. My companions had cocktails that they really enjoyed. One was an Old Fashion and the other was something I can't remember the name of. The bottom line is they loved them. For entrees we got Seafood Pasta with wine sauce (or you can get marinara sauce), Lobster Raviola with shrimp (or you can get it with salmon), and Spaghetti Bolognese. I was all up in everybody's plate so I tasted everything. Hey, I got a Yelp job to do. Anyway, everything was freakin delicious. I mean that Lobster Ravioli was banging. There was no shortage of lobster in the ravioli and the sauce was a great pairing. The seafood pasta? Super good. It was filled with plenty of seafood. I can't stand when I have to look around outside of my plate for the protein in a dish. Not here. The sauce was light with a touch of acid from the lemon. Loved it. The Spaghetti Bolognese had a great flavor and every morsel of it was solid gone by the end of that meal. This was my first visit and I will definitely be returning here because this lady liked the experience very much. So yeah, SYOY. Ciao

Carlo F.

Yelp
JUST THE BEST.. the happy hour, it is a very unique experience, great customer service combined with a trendy atmosphere ..Definitely deserve more than five stars..

Yelp
My daughter suggested this cute little Italian restaurant when I was visiting her in Atlanta. It is in a strip mall on North Druid Hills and it doesn't look like much from the exterior.....but the dining area inside is classy and also has a full bar. They also have a nice little partly secluded patio with an outside bar. The menu was full of pizza and pasta options, as expected, but they also had many meat and seafood entrees, soups, and salads. I actually ordered a Greek salad, which I was surprised to see on the menu at an Italian restaurant. It was really presented well, and huge! I had the grilled chicken added on top, and it came with lots of fresh cucumbers, tomatoes, pepperocinis, kalamata olives, and feta cheese. I loved it and was very happy with my selection for $20. My sister had a small house salad and the hot Italian sausage appetizer. She thought the salad was good, just a typical house salad with Italian dressing. The sausage was very good; but not very big. (It was an appetizer portion, but really only enough for 1-2 people.). My daughter had the chicken piccata which had a lovely presentation; but she thought it was just ok too. She said that the wine flavoring was a little overwhelming and there wasn't enough lemon flavor. It didn't taste like a typical piccata sauce. It did come with some additional breadsticks on the side. Her boyfriend had the spaghetti with bolognese sauce and he said it was amazing.....he really loved it. Overall our service was very good, and everyone was fairly happy with their meals. The prices were reasonable so we will most likely give Eatalanio Kitchen another try next time we are all in Atlanta.

Jessica M.

Yelp
Expensive prices and food was underflavored and tasted like it was out of a freezer. Very disappointed $30 meal for 1 person and left hungry. I got the chicken parm with asparagus. Asparagus was so chewy you couldnt eat it. And the chicken parm just was awful.

She B.

Yelp
The salmon dish was very fresh and perfectly seasoned. The service was warm and very accommodating. I would definitely eat here again. The restaurant is perfect for date night.

Jane R.

Yelp
Neapolitan's pizza didn't have much cheese, mussels sauce was way too lemony and a little bitter. Bought extra cheese for leftover pizza.

Kathryn L.

Yelp
Carry Out: I got a lukewarm exchange when I called to place my order for pickup. When I stated I was Vegan & was looking for some suggestions he gave me none. A very bland Vegan Pizza for me & the Grilled Salmon that was undercooked for my Daughter. Since there was no foodie love when I called to place our order, I decided to take the L on the underwhelming food & noted not to try EATaliano Kitchen again. Let's get someone else to answer the phones that exudes a little more engagement & knows how to provide menu alternatives for anyone & everyone.

Natasha D.

Yelp
I placed an order through their website close to 6 pm on a Saturday evening and my food was ready when promised. I ordered the Fried Mozzarella ($10.00), Meatball Marinara ($8.00), and 12-inch 1st Shift Pizza ($13.00) which had Italian sausage, eggs, "pizza cheese" (whatever that is), and potatoes. The four stars relates primarily to the friendly service and the pizza, which I would definitely order again. The mozzarella sticks and meatballs were okay, but I've definitely had better. This restaurant is close to where I live so I'll definitely be ordering more in the future! I'm slightly bummed reading the reviews and also the menu description that their chicken parmigiana is not fried.. but rather, grilled chicken medallions. This is my usual go-to when ordering Italian so I guess I'll have to find another place that makes it with the usual form of preparation. I'm not dining in restaurants as yet, but I did notice on my way in that they have a pretty expansive covered patio out front that I would maybe consider when the weather gets warmer.

Jennifer S.

Yelp
Do not order take out. Three out of the five meals were incorrect and the manager was very kind but did not fix the situation. He was very kind but the problem was on their side with an online ordering issue. It was not our fault it was theirs and they did not correct the problem. Once you get the food you're stuck with it.

Donna T.

Yelp
We ate there last night before the game. Had veal piccata and it was not good. It was gritty. We actually sent it back. We had the Alfredo with shrimp and it was not good. It was light and milky. Nothing like an Alfredo. Ate here 2 years ago and loved it but very disappointed this time.

Jayla T.

Yelp
a nice hidden gem in the battery ! We came across this place trying to find something other than the standard bar food with mediocre taste . This place is a holy grail ! Very intimate setting in such a public space and great authentic tasting food ! Look at my food page for a reel i made about this !

Dannie I.

Yelp
Cute restaurant and service is good... my pizza was just ok more cheese than sauce so just cheese bread lol... the three cheese ravioli was good and flavorful. The pizza needed more sauce and less cheese.

Elizabeth P.

Yelp
I would order Papa John's or Dominos over this crap. Overpaid for toppings that didn't exist. Hardly any cheese. I would give it negative 5 stars if allowed

Aishwarya I.

Yelp
Oof, truly sub-par Italian food. I ordered delivery from here one night when I was working late and didn't have time to cook dinner; I decided to try this place since it was close and had good reviews recently, but I regretted it. I got the mushroom ravioli a la vodka and garlic breadsticks. The sauce that the ravioli was in was way more tangy than it should've been, and I thought there was no way anyone could mess up garlic bread but I was proven wrong. As someone who claims "I would die for garlic bread," I couldn't even finish this order of breadsticks and I had to throw them away. They were just meh at best and I could barely taste any garlic in or on them. I was sorely disappointed by the quality of food here, especially for the price which is nearly on par with many other fancier Italian spots in Atlanta. If you have high standards for Italian food, save your money and spend it elsewhere.

Julia H.

Yelp
First time here and never again. I usually take pictures but didn't. I'll start with the mussels which were $22 and were over cooked and chewy, pizza was just ok and spaghetti with meatballs which meatballs were very dry. Our server who also sat us had no personality. Really wanted Nino's but wasn't open for lunch and my friends child really wanted spaghetti.

Z S.

Yelp
I ordered a fettuccine alfredo to go with sausage and peppers and no sauce came with the order. Instead, it was doused in oil. The manager insisted that I drive back across town for a replacement order rather than refunding me. I did not want to waste any more time considering I had wasted 20min on the phone simply explaining that my order was incorrect.

Chase W.

Yelp
the food was not good. the waiter had a very nasty attitude the cooks were unsanitary, and picked up the food with their hands. The workers were having s*x in the bathroom and I heard moaning.

Gregory W.

Yelp
I'm going to say my rating is, "Covid-based". Slow, slow service. Obvious, new waitstaff. Had to approach manager to inquire about our good. (Met someone else doing the same). Food was tasty. May come back in a year.

Jarsmon P.

Yelp
First time here yesterday. This is the BrookHaven location. No rush to return. I got there around 8:30/8:45 they closed at 11 soo I had plenty of time. They didn't have MOST of the menu available, so the selection was VERY slim. I tried the seafood linguine with the wine sauce. It wasn't good. The noodles were under cooked & the portion was VERY small. I also tried tiramisu for dessert. It was good! The vibe was cute. My waitress wasn't attentive to me at all. And when she did check up on me I felt rushed. (I believe her name was Nayra). I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Visit at your own risk..

Yelp
MAKE A RESERVATION! Maybe not a perfect 5 stars to some people, but many reasons as to why they deserve my vote. Starting off our evening we were greeted by Katherine (our server), who was very proficient with the menu and gave great recommendations! A bottle of Pinot Noir to start, then we dove into our appetizer (Arancini); 4 pieces, perfect for sharing between two people. An oops happened with our entrees: Eggplant Parmesan and seared scallops gnocchi. Our entrees were forgotten to be to put in, but honest to us is the best policy! Katherine was upfront and told us the mistake (taking ownership of the mistake), and offering a complimentary dessert as a thank you for our understanding- we of course accepted (brûlée cheesecake)! Once the entrees hit the table we were blown away by the beautiful portion sizes and overall flavors and freshness! Dessert came and we gave an honest score of 6/10; it just honestly baffled us both why you would ruin a beautiful piece of cheesecake with powder sugar? The presentation was nice, but not worth ruining the beautiful natural flavors of that cheesecake. I would recommend removing the powder sugar as a whole:-) OVERALL..... we will return! The fresh ingredients are noticeable, and the restaurant is family owned/operated. The team members are friendly, service is honest, and the food is great!!

Maggie B.

Yelp
I honestly didn't expect much, we lived close to this strip about a decade ago and I remember most businesses suffering, and for valid reasons. The decor and music offer a nice vibe and fun ambiance, a place that can be perfect for a date night or girls night, but also just fun for your random Wednesday evening when you don't want to cook. Cute and trendy without appearing presumptuous. Food.. honestly, the appetizer left a lot to be desired, and this being my first visit, it didn't put much hope into the rest of the meal. We ordered calamari and was presented with a dish that appeared to be the bottom of a bag of crumbs. I won't order this again. The chicken parm entree was plentiful and delicious, though, with great portions and presentation. The meat was juicy, perfectly fried and breaded without being overcooked or soggy from the cheese topping. My husband ordered a Margherita pizza which was also tasty and fresh, but I feel like it could have been a tad larger for the price. We had our son with us, so we ordered chicken tenders and fries for him, and I was impressed with the quality and quantity of food for a kids meal. It wasn't processed garbage like you'll see at other specialty restaurants (not that my kid wouldn't eat the most basic and unimpressive nugget out there over delicious Italian cuisine, but mom's get my point!!) I'd definitely come again!

Justin N.

Yelp
EATAliano was delicious and we definitely came to eat. With Vegan options, pasta, seafood, they have everything you need for a taste of Italy. The seafood linguini is great and as you eat, you just keep finding more and more seafood in the dish. From shrimp to clams, the deliciousness doesn't stop!
