I had a really bad service experience and didn't even get to try the food. I've been to the Flatiron location, so I expected it to be as good. I got there around 6 p.m.ish, I sat down at a table and the attendant vaguely gestured at me to use the QR code to access the menu. When I did, it wasn't a menu but a webpage forcing me to download the app. Very annoying, but I did. Then when I finished selecting items, the app said the store was closed and I couldn't place an order. I see other people are eating. I asked the guy, how do I get food if the app won't take my order? He walked over to someone else by the register, showed his phone (I don't understand why), then came back and said they're closed. I told him then you have to update the store hours because Google says you're open. He shrugged. I said how did these people get food? He shrugged and smirked. I said, I guess I should leave then? Shrug, smirk.
I walked over to the register and the person explained that the app is only for to-go orders, and I can order from the register. No menu in sight, but I can order. Okay so why did the other guy tell me to use the app? Then vaguely gesture at me? That's when I realized he was high out of his mind and lacking common sense. I decided to just leave. That's the only thing that could explain his odd behavior. Too many people coming to work while high. I'll just stick to the Flatiron location.
