"An Italian national treasure that has only gotten sexier with age. No, not Stanley Tucci—we’re talking about Eataly. Wandering aimlessly around this multi-level mall-within-a-mall is the closest thing this town has to skipping through a meadow with a butterfly on your shoulder. Browse aisles of imported meats and cheeses, snag a slice of Roman-style pizza or bombolone from a food stall, or head upstairs to the rooftop for drinks and views of a country club that only costs $250,000 to join. Who knows? Maybe a butterfly will join you." - brant cox, sylvio martins, cathy park
"Upscale Italian food emporium Eataly has everything from butchered meats and salumi platters to baked goods and fresh pastas for your holiday meals. They’ve also got prepared Christmas dinners for four ($275) or eight ($525) involving lasagna, prime rib, mashed potatoes, and more. Order online by 12/18 for 12/23 or 12/24 pick-up." - brett keating
"Whether it’s The Grove, Santa Monica Place, or The Americana, tourists love visiting at least one mall in LA. Not all of them are home to an Eataly, however. Located inside the massive Westfield Mall in Century City (another landmark LA mall), this Italian food emporium has three dedicated restaurants with solid food, a full market, and classes where you can make your own pasta (your friend from high school is going to want to do that). Sure, there are Eataly locations in cities across the US these days, but for an all-in-one destination that feels Italian culinary theme park, it's a fun option to take someone who dreams about eating their weight in burrata." - brant cox
"Eataly, the behemoth restaurant/grocery store/wine shop in the Westfield Century City is open for all your Italian food and drink-related needs. They’ve got a bunch of prepped antipasti, pastas, and pizzas, along with DIY pasta kits and Italian wines. The bucatini all’amatriciana is our favorite thing to order here, but just follow your gut, because the menu is massive. Delivery via apps, or in-store pick-up available." - brett keating
"Eataly might seem a little obvious here, but there’s no denying this sprawling Italian food metropolis is the ideal pre-movie spot when you aren’t exactly sure what you want to eat. There are three sit-down restaurants, as well as stalls specializing in everything from pizza by-the-slice, roast meats, salads, pastries, and some of the best bombolone we’ve ever had. We aren’t telling you to sneak some into the movie theater, but we aren’t not." - brant cox
