This place has so much potential, but unfortunately, my experience was so poor that I won't be returning or recommending it to others. We came to Eatapas for my mother's birthday dinner, hoping to celebrate with family and friends, but from booking to paying the bill, it was one frustration after another.
It started with the booking process. When I first called about hosting a large party, the hostess very rudely told me to "just check online." The problem? The party package information isn't actually online--it has to be emailed to you. After I finally received the details and chose a package, I was told someone would call me back to confirm, but no one ever did. I only found out the day before the event that a deposit was required, even though I had been reaching out for weeks trying to finalize everything.
The day of the event, we got a call about seating. The hostess offered us an L-shaped table or two separate tables but never mentioned that choosing the L-shape meant we wouldn't be able to see the live performers. This was a huge disappointment since the entertainment was one of the main reasons we booked here in the first place.
As for the food--several guests complained that the chicken in the paella was dry, and the arroz con leche had the consistency of a soupy milk dessert. The food also came out very slowly between plates. While I understand serving a large party can take time, the delays were noticeable.
The final straw came when it was time to pay. We were charged for 30 guests even though we had about 25. When questioned, the server explained that the kitchen made food for 30 people, so we had to pay for it--even though those guests never showed. That's not something customers should be penalized for, especially when the error was on their side. To make matters worse, no manager ever came by our table, not even when it was time to settle the bill.
Overall, the lack of communication, poor service, disappointing food, and mishandling of the bill made what should have been a special night incredibly frustrating. Eatapas has potential, but until they seriously improve their customer service and organization, I can't recommend this restaurant.
