"Eatery in the historic Grant House on Officers Row in the Vancouver National Historic Reserve offers a limited menu, ranging from an appetizer of smoked trout and artichoke dip to entrees like grilled salmon with a Marionberry glaze. The short drink menu includes riffs on classic cocktails like General’s Julep with bourbon, fresh mint, lemon juice and muddled blackberries." - Rachel Pinsky

Great place to grab brunch! For it's location the price is very affordable! Very well maintained house retrofitted as a breakfast venue. Very clean. Food was good. Staff was extremely polite. Could maybe use one more server. The one we had though was fantastic. Though it might be hard to find talent like that often.

I went here twice in the past month. The first time I ordered ordered artichoke dip and buffalo sliders and a drink. The drink was seasonal and amazing. The second time, which was today, I ordered the smash burger which has bacon, sweet pickles, aioli, butter lettuce and a tomato in it. The meat seemed to be skillet fried and seasoned with lots of pepper. It comes with two patty's and is super filling! The server was absolutely amazing. Our drinks were always full and there was always someone around in case we needed anything. Jeffery is an amazing front house manager. Thanks Scott for the amazing meal! ❤️❤️

Our first restaurant since March when all this madness began. having been to the Grant House in the past, it was an easy choice when the sun came out after disappearing for a few months. The staff here is top notch and they treat you so well upon the second you get there. The scenery of this establishment is quite relaxing and provides a wonderful outdoor experience during good weather. The actual cuisine is good and it will bring you back. So if you are looking for an out of the way place with a southern “sit on the porch of a palatial estate while sipping on a mint julep,” style, the Grant House and their wonderful staff will draw you in and have you coming back again soon.

Historic building, wonderful food, carefully prepared. Do make reservations for the best experience. Wait staff was informed, polite and considerate. If the weather is good you can sit on the veranda and enjoy the view. If you prefer an indoor setting, the interior of the building, place settings and furnishings are period appropriate.

Beautiful and quiet late day. Each plate and drink were spot on for spur of the moment porch dining. Two small happy hour plates would work well for a couple... it was only me so left 2 bites 🙂 Prices are comparable to other bistro atmospheres. Absolutely love the history and structure. Added attraction... the most beautiful lace cap hydrangea I've ever seen.

The new steak and fries were SO good! They currently are operating on a limited menu selection since they just reopened due to COVID but the outdoor setting and service were great! All the wait staff wore masks as well.

Biscuits!!!! So yummy! I've been back multiple times now including for my birthday. Try the Chicken Fried steak served on a biscuit with an egg and sausage gravy..... in a skillet on a wood board! Just try to have leftovers. The biscuits are real and made in house.....like biscuits should be. Also, the steak and eggs with potatoes. Yum! And it comes with a biscuit! Each time, I've gone for the weekend brunch. This is an historical house and they let you walk around, even upstairs. You can look for the ghost or see where an officer's wife defied the "no decorating the walls" rule by painting a medallion on the ceiling. So interesting to read about how the house was used. They even have lap blankets for you if you sit on the porch and it is a bit cold! Every time I've gone, everyone was gracious and generous! I'm looking forward to more drives to Vancouver to eat here!

Great cocktails and servers that know how to please your pallet based on how you are feeling that day. From wine to beer and signature cocktails the staff is very knowledgeable. I should note too, that the food is also very good.
