Downtown’s New Italian Eatery EaTo Opens With To-Go Pizza Puffs - Eater Twin Cities

"EaTo is a new Italian restaurant and market in downtown Minneapolis, offering a variety of pizzas, salads, sandwiches, housemade sausages, coffees, and soft serve gelato. It features a roll-up takeout window and patio service, with eventual plans to include a sit-down cafe, marketplace, meat counter, and bottle shop. The kitchen offers pizza puffs, a creation with cheesy pockets packed with spicy nduja or olive, and other unique dishes. Mixologist Marco Zappia provides a selection of classic cocktails, espresso drinks, aperitifs, and digestifs." - Tierney Plumb

I went to Eato during Restaurant Week lunch ($18 for 3 courses), and it was such a great experience. Parking was a little difficult with limited street parking, but I found out afterward that the Gateway Ramp nearby offers cheaper parking with a voucher — good to know for next time! The hostess was so thoughtful — she noticed I had my iPad and seated me in a quiet area so I could work peacefully, which I really appreciated. Food-wise, everything was on point. The red pepper bruschetta (just two pieces) was crunchy, chewy, and packed with flavor. The vodka pasta was rich and satisfying, and the cannoli was a light, sweet finish. Each portion was well-balanced — I left feeling full but not heavy. Great solo lunch spot with cozy vibes and excellent service. I’d definitely come back!

Just ordered to go when I was in town. Compliments to the chef that was working on the evening of 3/12/25! Best fried ravioli I’ve had to date. Everything was cooked perfectly and the salmon was delish. The veggie melody was very good also. I recommend this spot.

Love all the food we tried. The pistachio cannoli was the best I have ever ate! The meatballs were delicious. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff.

Came in for restaurant week based on the $35 three course dinner menu. Reservation was required but it wasn't as busy at the time we came in, probably because it was a Monday. For appetizers we started with the red pepper bruschetta and spinach dip (spinach, sundried tomato, fontina cheese, served with house-made deep fried pasta chips); entrees were both chicken Parmesan (mix of red and white sauce I believe, classic mozzarella, fresh garlic, and bucatini); then finishing with dessert of cannolis and tiramisu. All of it was excellent, I particularly liked the chicken Parmesan, the flavor of the sauce and bucatini paired with the presentation, chefs kiss. Very generous portion! I would skip on the spinach dip, something about it just didn't hit as well as say a spinach artichoke dip but I'm definitely interested in coming back and trying other things on the menu! Great RW experience!

love the vodka penne and have returned several times for it! very cute indoor atmosphere for a girls night, patio is also super nice for lunch or happy hour.

Google
Great place to eat I ordered Bolognese with house wine. I tried their bubbly drink that tasted great. Great customer service and finally dessert was good.

One of the worst piece of places in Minneapolis Minnesota. I ordered a pizza yesterday, July 4, 2025. I literally stay six minutes from this place I ordered a garden, veggie pizza and crispy potatoes only to receive a bag of garbage. My pizza was cold as ice in my potatoes are black and burnt. I actually saved it so I can upload a picture to show you guys proof I will never purchase from these guys again and I hope nobody else does as well.

Google
I eloped in Minneapolis at the city hall and we had a large group reservation at Eato for lunch. The booking process to book the reservation space online was super easy. They were very responsive and it was exactly as I imagined! She helped give me the idea to have appetizers ready for my guests if they arrived before me and that worked out perfectly. The food also came pretty fast considering we were a group of 24! I highly recommend!!

Yelp
We've been here a couple of times, and while it's good, but there are so many other places to try that we said we probably would opt for other restaurants in the future. Food: Pizzas and salads are fresh and tasty. Probably had better pizza elsewhere, but this isn't to say it was bad at all. Again, good, but nothing outstanding. Service: Friendly and prompt. Cute and small outdoor space out front when weather is nice. Indoor bar area that has open concept and open to the outside as well when weather cooperates. Ambience: Small, intimate, cozy, and trendy. Fun for small groups or a little date night. Would recommend making reservations, as space is small. Food is good overall.

Yelp
In Minneapolis celebrating our wedding anniversary and we found this cozy, delectable little spot! We actually got lost trying to find a restaurant suggested by our hotel, and I'm so thankful we found Eato instead. The ambiance is cozy, upscale without being fussy, and quite simply joyful. We had excellent service all around, from the moment we stepped in to the last steps out. For drinks, I started with an espresso martini that came topped with a cannolo--nice touch!--and my husband got an NA hot toddy, we were both impressed. We tried the red pepper bruschetta and cheese pizza puffs for appetizers. The red pepper smelled so fresh and was delectable on the focaccia with ricotta. We had the umami pizza--to die for!--and would have loved to check out the dessert but were too full. There's a wine shop in the front of the restaurant with tons of harder to find varietals, we didn't try one, but we will next time! Cannot wait to come back and try more incredible food and drinks.

Yelp
We had an amazing time here this week for restaurant week! They had a three course option for $35 with an additional wine course pairing for $15. I opted for both and was floored by how fun everything was! This was our second time here and we returned for the red pepper burrata which was amazingggg again. Very well balanced flavors and soft delicious bread underneath. We also had the spinach dip with the fried pasta to dip and I would highly recommend this as well. The flavor was good and the texture was so fun on the fried pasta. The chicken Parmesan was truly the star of the evening. The white cheese sauce on the noodles was so buttery and salty which paired perfectly with the brightness of the tomatoes on top of the chicken. It came out hot and the chicken had a nice crispy layer to it while being cooked perfectly throughout. I finished with two mini cannolis which had a gorgeous cream filling. Our server was incredibly kind and got all of our orders correct on a four top table during a busy Saturday evening while providing consistently good service throughout the meal. I would definitely recommend this place for a date night or night out with friends. There was a large amount of tables and the decorations were classy meets millennial in a fun way. We will be back!

Yelp
I met some friends here for happy hour earlier this year and this was the perfect environment for yapping and giggling. The HH was 4-6pm (an ideal time) and they had great deals: half priced select wine bottles, $6 house wine/beer, $9 gnocchi/pizza/fries... We ended up splitting the fried gnocchi (good but nothing to write home about it) and the focaccia with whipped ricotta (definitely something to write home about). As I was walking out though I had serious food envy with the other tables, the pizzas and bruschetta and desserts specifically. Might have to make this a regular HH and yap spot. They also validated parking and our waitress was a doll, so extra epic points.

Yelp
Visited Eato for their fall restaurant week. The deal was $35 for a three course meal which seemed fair given how hungry I was and how expensive their normal dishes cost. I chose to go with the chopped salad for my starter. It was delicious with lots of pieces of chopped salami, house made croutons, and lots of freshly shredded parm. It was delicious and a great way to start the meal. For the main, I chose the chicken Parmesan which came served over some house made pasta in a cheese based sauce. It was delicious, and as the tomato sauce from the chicken parm fell into the pasta, it mixed and created a wonderful sauce. For dessert, I chose cannolis which are a childhood favorite of mine. They were tasty with a nice crunchy outside and delicate filling. The service was great, we had two servers because one was training and they were extremely attentive. The vibe is pretty chic, this would be a great date spot.

Yelp
I was staying in downtown Minneapolis on a work trip and decided to try this spot out for my birthday dinner. WOW! It was incredible! I ordered shrimp scampi with a glass of Sauvignon Blanc and an ice cream sandwich for dessert. The food was incredible. They had indoor seating as well as patio seating which was dog friendly. I loved the bright colored decor inside of the restaurant. Such a fun place to celebrate any special occasion! The service was also incredible. My waitress was friendly and offered great suggestions for my meal.

Yelp
The tiramisu here is so good. If you are able to save room for desert after the delicious appetizers and entree I would highly recommend.

Yelp
My buddy and I searched Yelp for a good place to have happy hour before the Metallica concert on a Friday night at US Bank Stadium, where the Vikings play. EaTo is a few blocks from the stadium and was pretty empty at 4:15 when we got there, but when we left, it was pretty full. I noticed the had a nice bar that was seated outside. Our waitress was very nice and I ordered the $5 IPA, a nice craft beer. I also ordered the $8 pepperoni small pizza and my buddy and I decided to split an order of the happy hour wings. The food came out pretty fast, while I ordered another IPA. The pizza had lots of crispy curled up pepperoni, my favorite. The crust was thin, yet fluffy and fantastic and just the right amount of cheese. The wings had a rub instead of sauce and they were good size. The dipping sauce made them "Wingalicious" Great place for a Friday happy hour!

Yelp
This was a Bonus Daughter pick as she wanted pasta so off Eato we traveled into the cities! Walking in this place was super eye pleasing and def makes sense to take all the pictures while getting your carb fix. Let's gab about the food! Focaccia w/ ricotta was both our favorite and we even tried the special bruschetta for the evening and we both went back to the focaccia as the bruschetta was salty in comparison. Both our pasta came out timely and i went with the shrimp scampi had a little more chili flake then i was anticipating but shrimp was cooked perfectly with my bonus love getting pesto. Sadly our server kinda made us feel like we were unimportant which was unique as there wasn't a large crowd for a Tuesday at 630pm. Barely came to our table and missed grabbing our drinks..had to have another sever grab our bill as they disappeared. And i am a pretty chill person but when its repetitive puts a bad vibe for wanting to come back.

Yelp
I cannot believe this was my first time venturing over to EaTo, especially as it's just around the corner from me. It is my new FAVORITE happy hour - $5 wine, beer, rail drinks, $6 cocktails, and half priced bottles of wine. Plenty of reasonably priced and delicious food options as well. So affordable and both the food and drinks were excellent. Good service. The patio is incredible and the inside was gorgeous as well. New go to spot for me!

Yelp
Great customer service! Made sure our water was always refill and very attentive even tho he was the only server at the moment. Food: Order a variety: Spinach dip: Very good flavor - their version add sun-dried tomatoes and has a mild sweetness to it. Comes with pita chips. My only critique will be the pita chips needs to be a bigger size to be able to dip in the spinach dip. Pesto pasta: no meat Probably the best dish, pesto sauce was delicious, taste of sour fresh note from the lemon with real pine nuts and good olive taste. Pasta cooked perfectly Al dente . Mufflaletta: Very tasty style sandwich. Bread choice was a bit too hardy as for most people it'll be hard to bite down through the rustic texture of the bread. Meat and flavor very good. Slice of pizza: Got the slice pizza with fries. Pizza was good . Wood oven makes it great. Nice crust to it. Drinks: Sparkling drink - very good and made by eaTO- had the orange flavor. Nice orange taste with a touch of of sweetness. Overall: Great service , good food, nice decor. My only critique will be the chairs and tables could be upgraded or wipe down thoroughly. For a nice place , attractive furniture and tables should be wipe down or replace with new ones since some of have scratches and rough parts that been scratched or dented.

Yelp
Rachel our server was attentive but not overly attentive. Other staff members were helpful. For example one gentleman helped my spouse with her jacket. Nice urban vibe but not so loud you could not hear each other. Parking available behind the restaurant in a reasonably priced lot. Excellent Chicken Parmesan and Bolognese. Very good restaurant week options and value.

Yelp
My daughter chose Italian for dinner and we decided to do the restaurant week menu. You know when the food is delicious is when she does a little happy dance after she takes her first bite and gives a thumbs up. We drove past the front of the restaurant and thought it was cute with the Christmas lights and plants, gave it an Italian cafe feel. Our waiter was really nice and helpful. The vodka penne pasta was good, I also ordered the bolognase pasta which was also delicious and bit spicy. Would definitely come back and try the other dishes.

Yelp
I LOVE this spot!! Unpretentious, simple menu, with delicious items across the board. The vibes are chill/ modern/ fun-- great for a quick meal with friends or coworkers!! We started with the focaccia and ricotta, followed by the pizza puffs (explained to us as Italian cheese curds: boy, these did not disappoint). Followed it up with the vodka pasta, which absolutely hit the spot. Our server was amazing, and she gave us all the best recommendations. Will definitely be back when I am in town again!

Yelp
I've been here twice and both times it was amazing!! The staff are always super friendly, the food and cocktails consistently delicious and served hot and quick, there's always usually seating, and they always accommodate small children. The only problem we ever have coming here is finding parking, otherwise we would be here far too often HIGHLY RECOMMEND- I've never had a bad experience here.

Yelp
Eato in Minneapolis is the perfect spot to warm up after a day of exploring the city. The restaurant has a bright, airy, and fun vibe that instantly lifts your spirits when you walk in. The staff is incredibly friendly, making you feel right at home from the moment you're seated. The food is comfort at its finest. I tried the Chicken Parmesan sandwich, which was crispy, flavorful, and perfectly paired with a tangy marinara sauce. The steak sandwich was equally fantastic--tender and juicy, served with just the right amount of seasoning. Don't miss the Arancini either; these crispy risotto balls are creamy on the inside and absolutely delicious. Eato is the ideal stop for a cozy, satisfying meal, especially on a chilly day in Minneapolis. I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
Eato is a cute modern italian spot with innovative eats. The menu provides many eye catching items including: red pepper bruschetta, fried ravioli, pizza bites and more. I had to get an espresso martini to start... especially when I saw that it came with a MINI CANNOLI. The presentation was so cute and the cannoli was very tasty but the drink itself was way too sweet and had the sharp alcohol bite (if you know what I mean). I was very disappointed but the waitress was so nice and swapped out my drink and took it off the bill.... are you kidding?? so nice of her to do that! Overall the food was great. I really enjoyed the appetizers we got and the salmon main dish was very tasty but had many bones... not a big deal. Overall I thought EaTo was a very charming Italian eatery and would definitely visit again in the future.

Yelp
What a wonderful and delicious experience at EaTo! I made a reservation for 5:30 on a Saturday before a Guthrie show and it was easy to make the reservation, plus there would've been plenty of room for walk-ins. Service was some of the speediest I've seen. Our server was so kind and helpful, plus fast! We were finished with our main meal in about 45ish minutes of being there. I started with the Limoncello Spritz, if you're looking for a super light drink that's got flavor but isn't super sweet, this is for you! My only downside is it was too much ice for me, but on a hot day it's so refreshing. My fiance and I split the Honey Pizza & Penne alla Vodka with Chicken, and they split the pasta portion in two for us! The split pasta was the perfect size, the pizza was a little big to split with pasta, but I'm not complaining! The penne was delicious, a true classic vodka pasta. The chicken didn't have much flavor, but I was fine with it since I mixed it with the sauce. The pizza was fantastic, such an unexpected combination - if you like rosemary definitely get this pizza! Plus the crust was so flavorful and perfectly cooked. We finished out with the Cannoli, again so delicious and flavorful - we really only needed one for each of us! We will definitely be back here!

Yelp
EaTo was simply amazing. Walking distance from a ton of different fun things and, more specifically, my friend's apartment! We stopped over here for a quick bite and drink and it was lovely. So vibrant and cute inside with a nice little outdoor patio overlooking some classic Minneapolis buildings/architecture. It was half off bottles of wine on the night that we went so that was AWESOME. We had a lovely orange wine and got ourselves some pasta! I had the vodka pasta and, as you can see by the photo, it was perfection. I ate every last bite. Our waitress was sweet and attentive and we made it out just before some rain started. Definitely visit EaTo!

Yelp
My whole family absolutely loves this place! The food is delicious. The menu is interesting. The waitstaff is helpful. The general vibe is cool. And the place is super fun.

Yelp
Is it socially acceptable to only order a "shareable" at a restaurant? Asking for a friend. I would go back to @helloeato simply for their Focaccia + Ricotta. Think warm, soft, salty doughy bread topped with creamy, cool ricotta and wonder to yourself if anything more beautiful has ever existed. The Chicken Parmesan (red sauce, mozzarella, fresh garlic, bucatini) was an out of character order for me, but a very typical item for an Italian restaurant. I asked for pappardelle noodles instead of bucatini because I apparently like to embarrass myself trying to pronounce pah-par-deh-leh. I wish it had more tomato sauce/nothing was particularly stood out about this dish, but overall it was tasty! The bolognese (Italian pork sausage, beef, tomato, pecorino romano, hand-cut pappardelle) was a good level of spicy and savory. If you're not quite fan of pastas, they have a decent pizza menu to choose from! Overall, would say it's a pretty traditional Italian restaurant in terms of the menu and a cute spot to try if you're craving some carbs. Just make sure to order the focaccia
google avatar

Michael R.

Yelp
I really liked this place they sat us quickly gave me no grief about my service animal, waitress was really good kept coming back to see if we needed anything. Food was amazing fresh, hot and very tasty. Ricotta app was one of the best apps I've had. Place is well decorated clean and the outdoor patio is great.

Yelp
First visit to EaTo and they blew us away! We started the night with a delicious Caesar salad and focaccia with ricotta. The focaccia was crispy and a little sweet with rosemary. It lent itself nicely with the pesto ricotta. We then split the chicken Parmesan, which ended up being a great decision since it was huge and plenty for 2! The noodles were perfectly cooked and clearly homemade, with a blend of red and white sauce and crispy chicken. It was bomb! We ended the night with the 3 mini chocolate chip cannolis- they were so good we played rock paper scissors for the third one and unfortunately I lost. Our waitress was lovely and had wonderful drink recommendations. I got the strawberry tom Collin's based on her suggestion! Loved the little patio, we will definitely come back and try more! Also: you guys are my 100th review, EaTo! I appreciate you!
google avatar

Stephanie H.

Yelp
Nice happy hour, and good pizza, pasta and cheesecake. The service is always stellar, and it's a lovely ambiance inside and even better outside on the patio (when it's open). I do wish their happy hour had less fried food/apps, but if you're into that kind of thing it's a great deal. They also have an attached wine shop, I haven't browsed it yet though.

Yelp
How do you say it? Eat-oh? Eee-Too? Eh-toh? Who knows?! It was our last night of a week long vacation in M'polis and we chose to eat at Ea To. We'd passed it several times and it always looked lively and prices weren't off the charts. We were sat indoors. The decor is very attractive. The portions and prices were just right and the food was good. My only two negatives were that the male waiter was wearing nail polish -- is this even up to food code? Also, a 5% 'fair wages' charge was added to the bill. Please, just add it into the food prices on the menu, don't surprise me at the end. Hate that.
google avatar

Yelp
EaTo has been on my list of places to try so I'm happy I finally got to check it out! The scenery was super cute! It was upscale casual vibes so it was perfect for a date day! I ordered the espresso martini and was surprised that it came out with a cannoli on top! It looked so cute, but I was not expecting it to be that strong. It tasted like straight alcohol and was not as flavorful as others I have had. The pizza was very tasty tho! We ordered some chicken pizza and I would go back and have it again! The server was also very friendly and attentive. I would go back, but would probably get a different drink instead.
google avatar

Yelp
Been wanting to try Eato for a long time! We went here for a girls night and we loved the atmosphere. It's super cute and moody. The reason I'm giving three stars was for overall experience. The vodka penne was surprisingly spicy... and I like spice. We were drinking lots of water during the meal. Maybe in the future it should be noted to costumers ordering the dish. The Grand Spritz drink is super pretty and I had seen it on Yelp previously and wanted to give it a try! Though it's really nice to look at it had a bitter floral taste to it. My friend just got a basic margarita on the rocks which tasted good and I would have enjoyed that much better. Our server though he was young and very nice was not knowledgeable of the menu. For example: We ordered bruschetta and we asked what kind of cheese was on it and he said he wasn't sure other than it was bruschetta which we thought was funny and laughed but never got an answer. I had high expectations of this restaurant and it just did not deliver for me on this night. Might have to try it again in the future and make different selections.

Yelp
First visit to EaTo for a quick lunch before the Twins game. Loved the decor inside, but it was a nice day so I sat outside. Service: the waiter was nice, but a little iffy. After asking if I'd been there before he said "well there's nothing special about our menu." I think he intended it as "nothing out of the norm, no questions" but it was a weird descriptor. I asked about a cocktail and he dismissed it saying it wasn't very good. I appreciate it! I opted for the muffaletta and Italian chicken wild rice soup. Both were great! The muffaletta was delicious with olive oily foccacia, deli meats, and finely chopped olive tapenade. The wild rice soup had a more spice than a standard minnesotan wild rice soup. Would order both again (even if the menu is nothing special haha)

Yelp
Can't say enough great things about this place. Sat at the bar...great service. First time having limoncello and really liked. They only had their 30 day blend left and it was dry, but I enjoyed. I had the pasta bolognese and it was excellent. Wine was good and reasonably priced. Bonus: Found a parking lot, 3 minutes away to park for $5. Overall great value for a date night.

Yelp
I usually enjoy a lot of places but I thought the experience at EaTo was extremely overrated. The food wasn't horrible, more like 3.5 star food. The pizza sauce was too sweet but that could just be a personal preference of mine. The real problem was the service was very detracting, as a waiter myself if a waitress/waiter is busy I find that to be reasonable. But not greeting a table for ten minutes while relatively not busy, and then not running a card for 15 minutes when it is out on the table is just kinda weird? I don't know maybe I have had too specific of training but it just was the strangest of vibes. Also a lot of marketing type questions at the start and end of the meal that confused me when I had a bad experience but the waitress wouldn't stop watching me answer the questions so there is no world in which I'm not tipping 20% and lying on the questions. The dining room felt like a big hallway, and the food just didn't make up for how weird so many decisions were during the meal, not a comforting vibe this type of food should have, off putting.

Damaris P.

Yelp
I mean, wow! The food was exceptional!! Must, must try. We also enjoyed the tasty bread with ricotta and it was so so delicious

Yelp
Delicious restaurant week lunch at EaTo! Started out with beet salad and red pepper bruschetta, paired with orange wine. This was followed by penne ala vodka and the eggplant Parmesan sandwich and another glass of red wine. This was all finished up with a perfectly sized cannoli! Pleasantly surprised by this Italian food gem in mpls.

Yelp
I love Eato! Their margarita pizza is the way to go! The espresso martinis are not very good but I haven't had anything else bad. The staff are very friendly and it has a cute vibe.

Yelp
I came here as part of a group and the service was excellent. Our server was also very kind and even explained how the air quality wasn't great, reminding us to wear a mask outside of the air quality is not great. I was first impressed at how well they were able to accommodate our group of 8 people. Once we ordered, the food came out fast and everything was fresh. The cheese and honey pizza was good, and kind of tasted like Parmesan crisps. The cheese puffs were a hit and people loved those. The beet salad was also very good, with a good amount of beets and arugula in terms of proportions. Everyone else really enjoyed the food and cocktails that they got and I'm glad we were able to spend the evening here. The desserts were also very good -- moist, and baked to perfection. My only complaint about this place is that the lemonade was too sweet and I wouldn't recommend it.
google avatar

Nati C.

Yelp
Food is good, had the lunch combo of the grilled chicken pesto and the soup of the day was beef, vegetables soup. Soup was yummy and the sandwich the pieces of bread are a little to think for my taste it. Service was great, friendly and ambiance is very cozy, clean and modern italian.

Yelp
Food was amazing, drinks were good, our waitress was attentive. We will be back if we visit Minneapolis again!

Yelp
Came back for the focaccia and ricotta and it did not disappoint. Ended up having that and the bruschetta and both were delicious. Definitely recommend trying the bruschetta because it was so amazing, especially if you like sweeter dishes! They serve 3leche kombucha - the Zenzero is the best!

Yelp
Ordered takout from EaTo and it was great! Conveniently locating in the North Loop and their bottle shop was super cool! I ordered a side caesar salad, the bolognese, and the tiramisu. My caesar salad was great, you could tell that the dressing was homemade. My bolognese was tasty although a little on the spicier side. The tiramisu was one of the best I have ever had. Look forward to going back, getting a glass of wine, and exploring the bottle shop!

Yelp
Visited EaTo for their restaurant week deal in summer 2023! For $35 that had a few appetizers, entrees, and two dessert options to choose from. I had the beat salad, which was perfect portion sizing, however, the focaccia and ricotta (not pictured) was incredible! Then I ordered the penne alla vodka and added grilled chicken to it. It was a generous size with leftovers for tomorrow. The winner of the night was the olive oil cake! It was soft, lemony, and the perfect end to a meal. Our server was great and very attentive and there were many staff to help run food and fill waters throughout the night. We sat out on the patio and, while a bit noisy from the street, it gives off European vibes. There are great lights and ambiance outside. The inside has some loud music, seating and a small market!
google avatar

Kelsey C.

Yelp
Causal but chic ambience and greatly appreciated the helpful staff. Menu had lots of fantastic choices but unfortunately the food didn't quite live up to the hype. Maybe my expectations were too high based off the menu description but I left just slightly disappointed, particularly for the price point.

Yelp
Came here for a rehearsal dinner and it was amazing! We had a private room for our group. The service was very reasonable especially given that we were a larger group. I had the chicken park and it was great! Others in the group tried some of the other dishes and were raving about the pizza. Definitely would recommend for an event!

Yelp
This spot has really nice decor and atmosphere and anywhere with a patio in summer is always welcomed. I think if you go here for a quick drink and apps you will enjoy yourself. For a sit down dinner it was disappointing. My server was nowhere near attentive because she was serving all the tables inside, and honestly my pasta was very bland and mediocre in my opinion. I enjoyed my bruschetta & ricotta app more than my dish. I had a glass of the house wine, and again nothing special; tasted very bottom shelf honestly. This place is just ok for food with nice decor.

Yelp
Loved this place! Was planning to go somewhere else but was parked near Eato. So glad we went in and tried some drinks and food. Will definitely be going back!!!

Yelp
Glad we stumbled across this place on Resy. From the food to the service, it was awesome. The pizza was crazy good.

Yelp
I looked no farther than the Mortadella & Fried Chicken Sandwich... Fantastic! Great menu, nice folks, good service, and a casual atmosphere! Will certainly be back to try some of their other dishes!

Yelp
We stopped in on Saturday mid afternoon. It was perfect, quiet and clean. Service was very attentive to our needs. The Food is amazing. Everyone enjoyed their meal. It was a great afternoon! Thanks EaTo for showing us the classy side of life!

Yelp
Super yummy food. Loved the ambience. The server was very knowledgeable about the menu. I had a much better experience this time around compared to my first time at EaTo.

Yelp
I had high hopes for this place but ultimately was disappointed. I'd been here once before for a trendy drink at the bar, and I'd say that's all I'd recommend this place for. We had a reservation to catch dinner with some friends before a show at the armory on Friday night. We were greeted after a bit at the door, but we were a little unsure which door to enter thru. The initial welcome was not warm, and we were led 3 ft from the door to the table in the entryway. Abrasively bright lights shining on this table and bitter cold air streaming in from the door. I did ask right away if we could be seated further into the restaurant but they stated they had full reservations for the night. We did then ask our server if we could move at least one table away from the door and he said I don't see why not! Of course then we saw 3 tables further into the restaurant sit empty throughout our 2 hours there. We ordered our drinks and we asked a few questions about them and our server didn't know the answer of what the drinks were like -- as the menu is sorta cryptic. I ended up with what looked like a glass of red wine with an ice cube in it. My friends liked their ciders and tequila drinks. Later, we ordered another round and opted for the popular espresso martini -- not on the menu but just about every table had one that we spotted. That was a very good drink-- I'd come back for that. Our server was MIA for a while, but did finally come back to take our order. We opted for the focaccia and ricotta, caesar salad, cheese gremolata pizza, penne alla vodka and shrimp scampi. All looked delicious in other reviews and on the menu, but I would probably never order food here again. We all noted the pizza had no flavor and almost tasted like cardboard. I've never met a pizza I didn't like until now. We flagged down our server to get some olive oil, red pepper flakes and Parmesan in attempts to remedy the taste on our own but we never got the Parmesan. It was just completely flavorless so I'm really not sure why other reviews rave about this. No complaints about the Caesar, but I'd say the focaccia and ricotta was nothing special. I tasted my friends shrimp scampi and there was a gross overpowering fish taste. Again, never have I ever met a shrimp scampi I didn't like until now. Our friend that had the penne said it was "fine" but not great. I am not a picky eater and can be pleased pretty easily but I feel embarrassed to have recommended this place to meet friends for dinner. Our server really did try, so no slack to him, but I am not impressed overall, especially with the prices here. I really wanted to like it here with the unique vibe for Minneapolis, but I wouldn't feel authentic unless I truthfully explained our experience.
