Crumble and Flake Bakery Is Leaving Capitol Hill - Eater Seattle

"Crumble and Flake was first opened in 2012 under Neil Robertson, according to CHSB, and was sold in 2017 to Matasar, who had previously run West Seattle’s Eats Market Cafe." - Harry Cheadle

Eats is an unassuming gem. The locals are still largely unaware of what lies inside the doors which includes: perfect chicken soup with matzo balls, handmade ice cream sandwiches, fantastic baked goods like biscuits, cupcakes and tarts, a dozen burgers among the best in Seattle and... one of the top five Reuben sandwiches in the city. Breakfasts are satisfying and made of extremely high-quality ingredients (like everything here). The only problem is that they have not attracted huge crowds in this odd location and that has conditioned the service staff to chat and be less than completely efficient. All Eats needs is more business, and they have very much earned it!

love the Market Club sandwich (add avocado!) this is my favorite place in West Seattle by far. the place is a little small, but the service is good and the people are always friendly. I recently moved from w.seattle and will still make the drive to this place.
