"Quinoa ordered on an iPad (and delivered by machines) turns out to have more staying power than we anticipated. Eatsa does very fast, very cheap, and very good quinoa bowls perfect for a quick lunch. All the options are vegetarian and under $10." - Taylor Abrams

Delicious food at an affordable price!! I managed to get a Bento Bowl with a drink for roughly $8. The food here is quinoa based, and most likely vegetarian. If you want something healthy and fairly priced, check it out!! You order from the eatsa app, and when your food is ready, you go to the assigned 'locker' to pick it up. No need to talk to someone.

edit: (06/20/2019) Place has been closed ("Update in Progress") for months now. No indication that they will be back, but fingers crossed. edit: (09/21/2017) THEY FIXED THE USER INTERFACE! It is now an easy-to-use menu, simple and fast. So glad they updated things and got back to basics. Updating my review from two stars back to four stars. Great vegetarian option in FIDI. Convenient and quick.

Feels good only for the first time. Although the place is all high tech, the food taste is really really plain. I would not say it's bad but it's just not good or tasty at all! I would go here if I want to grab something quick. Would be nice if they add more variety to their food menu like chicken pork beef.

First time user, and probably last time. I ordered double protein and was charged for it, but didn't appear I actually got it. The portions were quite small, compared to the many salad competitors in the neighborhood. I meant to check my order and ask customer service if they forgot my extra protein but there is no way to do that in the app or online, so I have to leave my feedback here. Otherwise, pretty straight forward experience.

I love this place. The quinoa bowls are all super tasty and service is really fast. I like that it saves my previous orders so that I can get the same customized item quickly instead of re-entering it every time. My favorite bowl is the no worry curry.

Closed forever. The “update in progress” has been up for a long time. Too bad. They had great food

My food was made by a robot and I liked it! Eatsa is fantastic. I work in the Financial District in SF. What requirements would I have for getting take-out for lunch? Quick, easy, fresh & healthy, reasonably priced... check, check, check, and check! For approximately $7 you can choose a bowl from the 'chef's' menu or build your own. I usually just get a chef's bowl. There's something for just about anyone's taste preferences. You can get a salad with lots of goodies or something that's warm and comforting. Everything is vegetarian. I imagine this helps significantly with food safety issues. Instead, everything (the chef's bowls anyway) uses quinoa as a base. Not every bowl is for me, my favorites so far are the Chili con Quinoa and the Smokehouse Salad (with Portobellos, mmmm). Everything is flavorful and seems well thought out. Their website lists all the ingredients and gives a calorie count, allergen info, etc. I truly appreciate this. The customization is pretty extensive, including a truffled egg. They also offer sodas that are pretty low-calorie and really tasty. I got the potato chips once and thought they were delicious. You will find long lines but it moves quickly because everything is automated. Also, no cash - as it's entirely automated. I prefer to order from their iOS app so all I have to do is basically head out of the building and it's just about ready by the time I get across the street. When your food IS ready it appears in one of the cubbies with a cute little animation. TBH, this place is perfect for a workday lunch. Quick, efficient, healthy, inexpensive. The only thing I wish is that they'd get their Android app developed finally.

Eatsa further abstracts our relationship with the food system. It’s simply an automated ordering system that removes the human touch from our meals. Incredibly frustrating to see technology putting up walls between our food and the people who prepare it. 2 stars, not one, because the food was pretty good.
