The 38 Best Beer Bars In NYC

"If you’re serious about trying the best beer in the city (from the actual source), you need to take a trip to Mikkeller and drink lots of fancy Danish beer. This place is attached to Citi Field (and it’s open all year round), so the next time you go to a Mets game, budget thirty minutes of extra time to get a drink here before the game." - hannah albertine, bryan kim, matt tervooren

So much single use plastic! 🤢I enjoyed the space and its proximity to the game, but was appalled to see so much waste created by folks (myself included) only there for an hour. By now we all know that over 90% plastics are NOT recycled. They instead break into microplastics that leach into the water we drink and into our bodies. Or, they get sent to landfills or into our oceans. I hope your business can consider cleaner, greener, and more circular options for folks trying to enjoy a delicious beer without poisoning their bodies or trashing our city. There are circular cup services like Cup Zero you could work with, or you could provide corn-based or compostable cups as well as designated receptacles for them so they can actually be composted. Or of course, providing real glasses that can be washed and reused indefinitely. Thanks for considering better, more empowering options for patrons.

the best place to drink a good cold beer before the New York Mets game. The place is beautiful, and the beer is good. the staff is very welcoming and professional I recommend

Awesome location being it’s connected to the stadium. The prices are very fair too. Took a Star away because the beer cheese sauce was gross and the pretzel was terrible too. We tossed it. Also- their are no table games that a typical brewery has, took another star. But all in all- lots of seating and great place to duck in before a met game.

Tonight our local section of the American Chemical Society visited the brewery for a happy hour and we were lucky enough to have Ed and a helpful tour guide show us around. I’ve been here for many games but the beer alone is a reason to come visit. My favorite was the Lager 3 but the watermelon beer was an interesting second. Come for the playoffs and stay for the variety of beers on tap. Can’t wait to come back before a game.

I was sad when I heard Mikkeller was moving out of this space. But when I heard EBBS was moving in I was stoked! It’s great to be able to enjoy some top quality beer before heading in for the game. We even played some pool while we waited for the rain delay. They also have an outdoor patio to sip your beers on in the sun. Haven’t tried the food yet but I hope to next time.

Amazing spot to grab good cheap beer ($9 for delicious craft beer vs $13.5 for a miller beer at K Korner lol...) and great cocktails the staff here are all nice and the place is so much nicer/cleaner than the bars around the stadium! Hoping it doesn't get too packed as the season gets started. Mets fans are lucky to have this

Nice brewery busy before the game and quits down during. They food too but I haven’t tried it yet. I go game days when it’s open but not on travel days. Same beers as in Brooklyn. Odd names but good beers named 1,2,3,4 I have the lager and Pilsner

Great casual place to stop by for a quick lunch. Excellent selection of beers, and love that they have fruit flavored hard seltzers. I highly recommend their spicy harissa chicken sandwich with fries. Service was excellent since the staff were very knowledgeable with their beer selections and our lunch came out quickly despite being a busy afternoon.
