Yeeee haw!
This place embodies all that Utah is and is rumored to be. Located in the company town of Ruby's (renamed Bryce Canyon City) this entire town is owned and operated by one big ol' Mormon family.
Sure, there's a few restaurants serving a variety of food, covering most regular "American food fare" and a few alcoholic beverages - as long as it's all before 10pm.
We thought....what the *heck let's go to a country music show while we eat BBQ at a shared table of other folks visiting Bryce. Too bad the veggie option dinner was sold out, but, I was able to manage my diet sufficiently while enjoying pulled pork, chicken thighs, cole slaw, mashed potatoes and....wait, can you guess?!? Yes, a biscuit. It was pretty tasty, I'm not gonna lie.
The real treat was watching the country music show and trying to determine if the images displayed in the back screen were real scenes relating to the band or simply weird clip art someone downloaded from google images.
I'm not normally a country music fan, but this was really fun. We met people there that have been coming to this show for years. (Yes, more than once). I don't know if I'm ready to join that club, but, for a company town in the middle of nowhere, there was more excitement in that little show than in anywhere within a hundred mile radius. I promise.
Go check it out. It's a hoot.
