We were exploring for somewhere different for dinner and decided on Eberts. What a pleasant surprise. We sat on the terrace and even though it was a warm day it was very comfortable. Food was delicious. Prices were reasonable. Wait staff was attentive. Steak was cooked to perfection. Try the different burgers I bet they're all good.

Didn't start off on a positive note. Hostess attempt to sit us at a visibly dirty table. Sister had to request her twice to dry off table. Reason to pause over disinfection protocol. Brother-in-law enjoyed his Cobb salad sister enjoyed her Buffalo wing pizza. My bison Burger was absolutely amazing. Very juicy and cooked to perfection. Atmosphere laid back would definitely come again.

Nice place to go for a lunch or a small gathering with friends or to catch happy hour. Food was good quick service. I was here on a Friday and they had live music. They also have a nice outside seating area. It is a little expensive lunch for 2 with happy hour drinks came out to $61

Google
We had their queso with salsa which was amazing with the chips! I had their nachos that were the best nachos I've had in forever. Drinks are good and everything was very well priced. We had a amazing server. She was new. I want to say her name was Kayla. Super sweet and attentive.

Google
Delicious food, they messed up our order so we have to wait a little longer but they gave us an unexcused discount. Nice ambiance in a golf club restaurant which I had no idea it was when I called for a reservation in our way to the airport. I appreciate the convenient location. We will visit again.

Google
Was very good. Dipping the potatoes that came with my ribeye in the queso we got as an appetizer was amazing. Ribeye was perfectly prepared. Food timing was great even with a banquet they we're hosting in the other room.

Google
This place won my heart since I found out about this place. If you are coming In and out from Denver it's 13 min away from the airport and never disappoints. Everything on the menu is fantastic just heads up on the filet if you like it MR just order Rare. Beside thats. Everything here 5 stars! Ashley is amazing! The prices are affordable with amazing food! Love this place!

Google
The waitress was very kind and helpful, and the food was good. We were seated outside, where it wasn't crowded, and it was a nice, quite morning. My only complaint is that their website provided a breakfast/brunch menu that did not disclaim weekdays...so we arrived for breakfast food, but had to settle for lunch food. An unintentional bait and switch, I'm sure, but disappointing.

Yelp
Great place, great drinks, great food. Except for the ribs last night, I really should have said something to the staff about them. They were way over cooked, to the point were they were closer to jerky than anything else. Shouldn't have even been served. Last time they were fantastic. Had fish and chips which were awesome, what ever the batter they use was delicious. Chowder is really good too. Had the char-grilled oysters last time as well, very much enjoyed them too.

Yelp
Decent smokehouse out near DIA. Fun to sit at the bar with views of the gof course. Limited craft beers on tap and pretty good cocktail menu. Tried the 2 meat plate with brisket and ribs. The brisket was 70 % fat with very little meat and I was very disappointed. The ribs were not even close to fall off the bone but more like tug off the bone. Great side of baked sweet potato with cinnamon butter. Club house feel and lots of room. Might go back and try some other food options.

Yelp
I want to be VERY clear that stars are ONLY for our bartender, because he was nice, kind, and polite. The grits were disgusting, tasted like water and grits. I make grits at home, weekly. I did not know how truly terrible they could be. Waffle House grits are amazing compared to these! The fried green tomatoes were completely mushy inside , but the outside was crunchy. The Irish coffee was stomach churning, and biscuits were hard as a rock. I do NOT know how this place got all the good reviews for " Southern cooking" because from what these things tasted like I cannot imagine what the greens would take like, and the mac and cheese looked like a big stuck together lump. I make my own homemade greens and will obviously continue to after today's experience. I cannot fathom coming here for another meal. This is our 3rd try with this place, and most likely the last. C'mon, how do you mess up Irish coffee???

Blake H.

Yelp
The Smokehouse & oyster house sits on the golf course! It's a great spot on the patio. Our service was ok and the food was pretty good. I'd suggest the $3 Taco Tuesday special!

Tiffany T.

Yelp
I want to be clear that this two star rating is not for the service which has consistently been kind but for the product of that service, which continues to be inconsistent and subpar at best. With the limited options in Green Valley Ranch, this is now my fourth visit to this restaurant where I keep hoping The food and beverages will be better, but I have once again and disappointed - Side order of fries: I placed an order for sweet potato fries, however what arrived looked like what you leave at the table when you've eaten too much and just unable to finish. To ensure this was intentional, I placed an order of regular fries and that showed up as an oddly small order similar to the first. I could blame the container that it showed up in but truly that is an average size holder for fries at any restaurant I have been to. It is unfortunate at that price point and at the caliber of restaurant that something as seemingly low price to produce that the order could not be doubled for their regular service. - Unappetizing green beer: this has nothing to do with the beer being green (for St. Patrick's Day). In fact, I have had many a green beer at places from hole in the wall Pubs to high end, tap rooms, unfortunately the green coloring this location seems to be using leaves an unfortunate film of flakes at the top or it is not being mixed in correctly. Either way, for a themed celebration, I would advise them to stay away from the green beer if it cannot be done in a more appetizing manner. - Room temperature, Irish coffee: following the theme of the day, I proceeded to order an Irish coffee which showed up room temperature at best. I indicated that to the staff who kindly went ahead, and I believed, warmed it up, instead of potentially remaking it again, perhaps nothing wrong with that, however, if you are providing a themed drink, like an Irish coffee for a special day that you are promoting, it is probably best to be prepared to serve it right or to not serve it at all.

Yelp
The smoked wings are good the view is pretty cool as well very nice location, I will be back again to try the other options

Tom M.

Yelp
Brisket shouldn't look like pot roast. Basically no smoke at all...oven baked is a better description. Rest of the meals were dry and needed seasoning. Coleslaw was just shredded cabbage zero flavor. Service was fine, but no one goes out for service.

Cassandra R.

Yelp
Not a huge fan. I ordered from door dash. I got a two meat plate with brisket and turkey, it came with a small cornbread and 2 sides... I chose baked beans and collard greens and added i added a side of onion rings and a baked sweet potato. The brisket was completely unseasoned, and I mean no salt or pepper, but it did have a nice tender texture. I ordered barbecue sauce but they missed that in my order. The turkey was definitely a processed turkey that they sliced off of. The collard greens weren't bad, cooked well but unseasoned so I had to add my own hot sauce to get through them. The baked beans were pretty good, edible but nothing to rave about. The small piece of cornbread was dry and when I say small, I mean tiny! I did like the onion rings, and I think it was a good portion size. My baked sweet potato was good but I don't think it had any seasoning, it did come with a sweet maple butter, but that didn't add much for some reason. The potato itself was a huge potato, so it was a good portion size as well. Overall, I think if you're not a foodie and you're just hungry, it's a good place to go but if you're looking for something that's going to bring you back for more, this probably won't be the place.

Becky B.

Yelp
Great ambience overlooking a beautiful golf course and great happy hour specials. 1/2 lb peel n eat shrimp $10 and $2 off special drinks- yummy shrimp! We wish we'd gotten more!

Therese C.

Yelp
Interior is nicely decorated. Nice gray tones. It has a casual vibe. Our waitress Mikalia was very pleasant and attentive (she looks like Ellen Page before the transition). The sausage sliders are delicious. I tasted one and ate two before I realized I forgot to take pics. I meant to save one to take home but I couldn't stop eating them. I also odered "wings & Frings" cause I'm greedy like that. It came with onion rings, fries & wings. Some of the wings were a little on the dry side, but I hooked them up by mixing the sweet n tangy bbq sauce with the smokin pit hot bbq sauce, yummy. The fries & onion rings were good but I prefer the fries xtra crispy. Next time I will be sure to ask them for xtra crispy. Hubby ordered the "Two meat combo, sausage, pulled pork, with mac n cheese & grits. My neanderthal husband enjoyed his meal, he said it was "medium, nothing great and nothing bad". I tasted the cheese grits... nothing exciting, kind of on the bland side. I also tasted the mac n cheese...remeniscent of hmm... school lunches? Wasn't feeling it at all. Overall a good meal. If I am in the neighborhood again I wouldn't hesitate to eat here. Hubby says the restroom was very clean.

Amber C.

Yelp
We tried this restaurant on the final day of Denver's Restaurant Week and we are so glad we did. I forgot to take pics, but it's because I was too busy eating. We had house salads (fresh, crunchy), the two meat platter (opted for brisket & turkey) with fries and Mac-n-cheese, catfish and shrimp platter with sweet potato fries and grits, lava cake, and peach cobbler. Everything was good. The turkey was soft and juicy, perfectly flavored. The brisket was really good as well! The grits were my favorite side, absolutely delicious. The catfish breading needed a little something, but I'm not sure what, maybe salt or pepper or both? The shrimp was delicious. Also, we had an old-fashioned and a margarita - both were soooo good. The margarita was probably top 5 that I've ever had. We will definitely go back.

Miranda B.

Yelp
Delicious, generous portions at a reasonable price! Melt in your mouth beef brisket, tasty sausages, collard greens, and cheese grits. I don't know who is in their kitchen; but they are from the South! Yum!

Drew M.

Yelp
Really cool spot with some great food and good vibe. The work they've done to make that restaurant special is notable. The portions for certain items are massive, 10 wings is a lot so be prepared to be hungry. Drinks were strong, service was excellent and the view from the bar doesn't disappoint. If you're out for a round or just in the area, this place is worth a drop in. Great work GVR!

Dan S.

Yelp
Pretty great BBQ and service has gotten a lot better. Try their prime rib french dip, weekends only. Collard greens are money and they have fried catfish which has yet to disappoint!

Elton R.

Yelp
Located at a golf course, should have been our first clue. Good parking since it is a golf course. Was excited about oysters and bbq. We got the char-grilled oysters, so much cheese you couldn't find the oyster and when you did it was so chewy your mouth got sore chewing it. Ok let get some "smoke house" bbq-NOPE! Ordered the two meat with brisket and ribs, there was no smoke ring on the brisket and dry as a bone, couldn't eat it even with sauce. Ribs were pretty good, not the best I've had but decent. The waitress was awesome, change out the poor brisket for some more ribs. Overall I could not recommend nor would we return. The table behind stayed dirty the whole time!

Golda I.

Yelp
The food was delicious. The ribs was so tender, the meat easily fell from the bones when i picked them up from my fork. The coleslaw and the green beans tasted just as they should be. The biscuit also. I had a craving for some bbq ribs and i saw that this resto opened at 10:30 AM so off i went. Am not from CO. Am from IL. Right after i ate from this place, i flew back to IL. This place is neat also, it's situated in a golf course. The staffs were super nice and quick to deliver as well. No wait time to be seated and for the food to be delivered as i was the first customer of the day AFAIK.

Tricia H.

Yelp
We met the owner at a community outreach event which is an awesome way to meet people. Someone who is interested in the community is someone we want to support. The servers were so friendly and genuine. The food was tasty and the facility was very clean. The only issue was our that most of our food was not hot. The Mac and cheese was steaming hot, but everything else was room temperature at best. We will go back!

Chuck M.

Yelp
This new restaurant replaced one of my favorites in the area, Ebert's. So definitely wasn't sure what I was going to fine when we went there. Interior hasn't changed much looks very similar to the sign that Eavers had. The bar seems to be a little bit smaller. I do like the upgraded menu better with all of the smoked meats, oysters and seafood that is available. The smokehouse hired back most of the staff that used to work there so I was pretty happy about that. The food is comparably priced to what it used to be at Eberts and overall I thought it was really good. Will have to try it one or two more times to give a much better evaluation, but all in all happy with the new environment so far.

Hsu A.

Yelp
Food was good but no one greeted me, took several minutes before someone took my order. Felt like I was a nuisance just being there. Think there might have been a dress code? I definitely felt weird not being dressed in my uniform Usually order the ribs from doordash as they are often cooked well and the sauce is delightful.

Wayne W.

Yelp
Food was good. I had the fried shrimp with grits and collards greens. The collared green were surprisingly well prepared. Service was slow at first but once on scene she was very attentive (except for delivering the bill). Facility is large and comfortable with booths and tables and bar. Lots of sport TVs (with sound low, thank you). Hopefully they continue to improve and expand the menu and perhaps open for breakfast

Steve J.

Yelp
I had the Tuesday Tacos and the porter's beer and it was excellent This has a very pleas and quality atmospher. Jackie B was my server, behind the bar, and she is superior. She's very friendly, a great multi-tasker, and delivers an excellent customer experience. I'll be back for the smoked oysters next time.

Dedrick S.

Yelp
Food was amazing, the service was horrible. I felt ignored and invisible. Questionable if I'll return to sit at the bar.

Frantsy R.

Yelp
First time I ordered here the smoked wings and frings the service was great I got the wings dry and they added their house sauce to try along with some delicious sauce with the frings. The second time I ordered I got a chicken sandwich and fries and added onion rings I got no condiments no cheese on sandwich. My mom got the catfish and they didn't even provide tartar sauce or cocktail sauce. It was very disappointing I had to stand at the front forever where a sign said please wait to get anyone's attention so I could get my order. Was very disappointed in their attention to detail and service.

Yolo Z.

Yelp
There are no words absolutely None that can describe how disappointed we are to (1) believe all the great reviews and (2) to believe the service and attention to our meal preparation would be excellent (given the reviews)! How difficult can it be to prepare a To-Go meal on a Sunday afternoon, when there about 10 persons almost all at the bar and a few tables around the restaurant! So why the lack of attention to detail? Our catfish dinner was cold, fries soggy in grease and cold, onion rings were worse and the chicken sandwich was like yesterday's meal to say not fresh tasting and tough! We had zero condiments and hence our Sunday dinner was the worse we could have imaged. What is worse than this lack of service - is driving from downtown Denver expecting to have a great dinner watching the Bronco game with no dinner!!!

Brenda P.

Yelp
I really want to like this place. Really, really! However, every single time I go, I leave less than satisfied. If the food is good, the service is poor. If the service is good, the food is well below average. Came here for another attempt New Year's Eve for their buffet. The buffet included, mixed green salad with choice of vinaigrette or ranch, mixed veggies, green beans, mashed potatoes, prime rib, turkey, au jus, horseradish sauce, brown gravy, cookies, various cheesecake slices, and mini cupcakes. We were served champagne upon being seated at the table. The buffet food was sub par, which was a big disappointment. Not even close to the quality I expected for $40/per person. There were 6 diners, and all felt the same way about the Buffy. The prime rib was too heavily smoked, the turkey was dry, and even the mixed veggies had a lot of smoke to them. Sadly, we probably won't be back.

Isabelle F.

Yelp
Food was ok. Lots of flies bc of the open window. Server had no clue what they were doing or what was on the menu and could not answer any questions. Upcharge that was not listed on the Q for 2 meal (do not get bc it is not enough for two people) we are leaving not full and upset that we paid so much for so little.

Peroy T.

Yelp
After playing. Seat yourself. But get no service. It's terrible. When they first opened it was good food. They got lazy. With food and service. Had to ask 2 times for a waiter/waitress to bring us water. McDonald's has better service than this joke.

DL W.

Yelp
We have visit several times and the foods has been amazing every time. The customer service is top notch. The golf course view is a nice.

Marques I.

Yelp
The food was great, the drinks were great, the people were great. The ribs were perfect. They didn't fall off the bone, which is how which is how you want them to be done. They had good chew. The brisket was a little bit on the dry side, but I didn't request the wet brisket, but it was still good, or pork was great, and the sausage is good. The collard greens and the cream of corn were excellent. However, the grits needed seasoning. We struggle to those. Finally the Char broiled oysters were excellent.

Nikki L.

Yelp
Honestly I've never had to wait so long for seating, drinks, food and the check at a restaurant before, but here I experienced it all in one day. We sat down at a bit after 2pm - our check started at 2:35pm and we did not leave till 4pm. I think they might have been under staff or something because whenever we needed something no one was around. Food was delicious I will say but the long wait periods for everything else made the experience not worth it. No refill on our water or general checking to see if we were fine. I even witnessed a waitress put customers used water glasses water back into the water pitcher and I hope no other server serves that because that is unsanitary. Even asking for the check was near impossible with no staff checking on us and when our server did come back we asked for it and she disappeared for a while till we flagged down another server to ask for the check and then we waited some more till finally we got the check.

Lizbett C.

Yelp
The first time we came food was delicious service is always great, for being so packed everything came out good!! But... this time service is great I'll give you that. I order the boil and it didn't have much flavor it was literally water tasting like with some spices but it seemed like they threw hot water on top almost like hot dog water boil. Fish and chips where ok. If you come stick with the bbq that's really good so is the cat fish. I'm going to give it a 3 stars only cause the first time it was a 4 and today was a 2. Also forgot my salt rim on my margarita no biggie but she offer the Cajun salt and when i got it no rim salt rim on it. The staff is always helpful though!!

Alana F.

Yelp
If you like brisket that is 95% fat, this is the place for you. I requested a leaner portion, and this is what I received. I understand brisket is a fatty meat, but this was excessive... and I have eaten brisket at more than 50 other establishments, none were this fatty and inedible. Not for me, but to each their own. Service was good. Mac and cheese and coleslaw on par with KFC. It was at least edible, and had decent flavor. My coworkers brisket sandwiches were ok, at least edible. Unsure why the requested leaner order was so bad. Lesson learned. Don't request leaner meat, or you'll get the worst cuts. Actually no lesson needed, as none of us will return.

S. S.

Yelp
The calamari was over breaded and crumbling off. The onion rings were perfect. The smoked ribs, brisket, and wings were really good. The atmosphere was welcome as was the staff.

Nick B.

Yelp
Excellent and attentive service along with a deep menu makes GV Smokehouse and Oyster Bar a great restaurant! The fish and chips are my go-to, but everything thing else I have tried is great too. The view of the 18th hole from the terrace is amazing during summer sunsets and also makes it a great 19th hole after a round at Green Valley Ranch Golf Club!

Saundra R.

Yelp
Close to home. Not as southern as we thought. Not bad & certainly room for growth & flavor profile. Staff was amazing! Even with the best food, staff can kill the experience. Everything was served hot, also a plus. Patio view of golf course is also nice. We'll return in the future to see how they've evolved.

Alayna S.

Yelp
Loved this place! Had amazing service the whole time! Drinks were good, food was pretty good too. Brought in a party of 7 and we were sat right away. Great place to stop if you're staying near the airport in DEN

Jeff K.

Yelp
Amazing staff and great food. All of it is good! Fresh seafood to bbq.. it's all great!

Rick S.

Yelp
Good service. Had the peel n eat shrimp. Tasty. Sausage plate was good but meat In sausage texture was very mushy. Good skin and smoke but just not right. BBQ sauce good and coleslaw standard. Just couldn't figure it out. I expect a good meaty bite not mushy.

Morgan M.

Yelp
Great service - waitress was wonderful - and our food was great! Definitely recommend and added benefit that it is close to the airport!

Sonia S.

Yelp
This was first day visiting this place. We decided to try it because they had a billboard announcing a "BBQ" buffet for $24.99. We decided it was a good chance to try their food. When you hear the word buffet, you think several proteins, several side dishes and several dessert options ( or at least two) Not the case. This was a very skimpy menu, a tray with pulled pork with no flavor, a tray of dry mac'n cheese, A tray of bland coleslaw and a little tray of chocolate chip cookies. Everything ver skimpy, cheap and not what I expected at all. You would think a restaurant would like to display their food nicely. Not at all.... First and last time for sure.

David P.

Yelp
The food here is always terrific, the service fast and friendly. Today had one of the best slices of pumpkin pie I've ever had. Yum

Steve Z.

Yelp
Wow! Just went here on a request from friends and what a great place with great service and fantastic food. Coming from Georgia, BBQ is up there as some of the better ones and the BBQ here we some of the better bites I've had. The collard greens were outstanding, the brisket was some of the best I've had. The bonds are exceptional wish I took pics but that food had me going!

James P.

Yelp
The service is great. However I ordered a seafood boil, and the food came out cold. The "sauce" was more like cold hotdog water and butter. It was uneditable and I felt so bad sending it back. My daughters ordered the steak and ended up spitting out the last bite it was so tough to chew. We didn't send hers back we just decided this was bad enough. At the end the manager and wait staff made it right. I have to say the wait staff is on their game, but if this place is going to succeed they need higher quality food product, better kitchen staff and bar keeper. The wait staff gets all five stars. I will give it one more shot after some time passes to see if they fix the issues. Love the concept it would be awesome to see it work.

Jake C.

Yelp
Best food and servers in CO! Great to unwind after a long golf round! Thanks GVR smoke house!

Wendy C.

Yelp
What a great meal we had. Taco Tuesday- loved the cod and shrimp tacos! BBQ is great.

John B.

Yelp
Ribs were great and the service was very good, good selection of southern staples. Great selection for kids also.

Holly S.

Yelp
We wnhoyed a great round and came in for lunch and drinks. It took 40 mins for someone to come take our order. It took.a other 20 plus mins to get our drinks. We had to go find a pitcher of water and cups on our own. Food was ok at best. Clearly this place could be a really good restaurant but the service is really really slow. It took 2 hours for 1 beer and a burger. Too long!

Samantha R.

Yelp
Loved this place, great food and top notch service. We had the charbroiled oysters which were awesome and the shrimp, and fish and chips. All was super good and all of the employees were super nice. Definitely a new favorite

Mark R.

Yelp
Variety of meals today for light dinner. Great service when we came in. Promptly attended to with smiles. A few drinks , apps and dinner was enjoyed. Gotta say side of sweet potatoe with cinnamon butter was awesome. Nice place
