"For German-born Stefan Heilemann, he knew he wanted to be a chef since he was a toddler. After a short stint at university, he pursued that goal by starting his career at the Traube Tonbach under Harald Wohlfahrt. Heilemann is now the executive chef at Ecco Zürich, which earned two MICHELIN stars in December 2015. He describes his cooking style as 'French-based, uncomplicated, product-focused and Asian-inspired.'" - Aaron Hutcherson

The design of the store is nice, product availability is satisfactory and the staff is helpful. The sports shoes I bought look like they are of good quality, full leather but not rain proof. I ended up with wet socks although due to the color and the robustness they look fit for autumn. I am also deceived to learn they are made in Taiwan. Why not in Europe, jobs are needed here too.

Definately worth visiting the new ECCO flagship store in Zurich. Cool new store interior, nice leather stories and a very cozy basement dedicated to the men’s collection. Staff is super friendly and their knowledge about the brand is very impressive.

Shoes are good however the staff just relentlessly forces the cleaning products on you. They just don’t take no for an answer. Lately in another store when my husband bought shoes and refused cleaning products they still put something in the shoe box and charged us for it! Totally annoying and unacceptable.

I was a frequent client in Ecco, they used to have a nice staff whenever I was there. However it was not the case anymore. I went to the shop with my son to try the kids shoes, I remember a week ago, one pair of shoes were 50% off, but no show discount anymore. So I asked one of the lady in this shop if it still on discount. She was very rude to me and saying the price can change. And very rude tell me now it’s 30%. I mean, if it is rude staff, It’s very much ruining the shopping experience. Therefore, I would never go back to this shop.

I have 8 pairs of ECCO Soft 8, in various colors and leathers. Just can't have enough of them. :) Just bought two new ones last week, when I visited the store in Zurich. Very proud of my flower print sneaks !

Today afternoon my husband and I entered a shoe store Ecco on Bahnnhofstrasse. My husband needed shoes. The store windows were covered with a word "sale". A pleasant saleswoman took us downstairs to the men depadtment and helped to chose exactly what we wanted. The initial price was CHF 149 but the saleswoman showed us that this model is on 20% sale and costs now CHF 118. There was a tag connected to it that said 20%. We went to the cashier, I took out a credit card and was asked to pay CHF 149. "How come? What about the 20% sale?" The pleasant saleswoman brought the shoe that had a 20% tag attached. The cashier took scissors and cut the tag out, saying that it was a mistake. I tried to say that if the price on the article label is lower than that in the computer system, then everywhere in the world the customer is charged with the lower price. The cashier did not agree with it. She did not think that the store should bring us the apologies. She did not offer to speak to the manager. By the way, she did not even say that she was sorry. Because of such lack of respect to customer we left without a purchase. For such treatment people do not come to a store of a prestigious firm located on the central street. We will never come there again. Bye, Ecco on Bahnnhofstrasse!
