Echo Park DC

We happened upon this spot recently. Looking to just get drinks but a food item is required to order alcohol. But it’s never bad when pizza is an option. Such a delicious slice from Andy’s which is next door. The atmosphere was very chill as well. There’s a main area, a back room that has lots of glass windows and then an outdoor area. The host and waiters were very friendly and chill. Want to come back and try other food off the menu!

Pizza was pretty good. It was nice that the pizza was stable and didn’t fall apart while you eat it. The tomato sauce was delicious. I think it could have been a little hotter. It didn’t seem super duper fresh but was still tasty. I think it may have just been a fluke. Also wish there was more buratta on the margarita buratta slice. Looking forward to coming back and trying the vodka slice when it arrives.

I absolutely love this place! What a great addition to the Shaw neighborhood! I have tried many of the pizza places around DC and this by far is my favorite. I love that you can get pizza by the slice which are priced incredibly well. I got the Buratta margarita pizza and it was delicious (I recommend having it with the spicy honey.) The staff is super friendly and attentive which really makes the experience. I couldn't recommend this place enough, we will be making this a regular dinner place!

The new ownership group has made all the right changes in all the right places. They opened up and added more lighting to the front area bar while keeping the back bar, which already had great vibes, the same. The pizza and cocktails were both delicious. We sat at the bar and the bartender was extremely genuine, showing a great deal of interest in how our experience was going. I’d highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a local hangout that pays attention to the important details and makes sure you feel at home.

Echo Park is the latest venture from the Hilton Brothers. Located in Shaw, it's just a few blocks from the Metro in a lively part of town. You could easily make Echo Park your destination or the first or second stop on a tour of other nearby bars and restaurants. By the outside, Echo Park doesn't look super big, but once you're inside, you'll see how spacious it is. Dimly lit, there's a large room in the front with a bar, booths, and tables. As you walk back, you'll see several unisex restrooms to your left. As you continue, you'll enter a room that feels more like a classy beer garden. Food is from Andy's pizza and is a good slice of eats. The drink menu is generous with beers on tap, wine, and several house cocktails. What I appreciate about Echo Park is they have a sour ale on the menu and it's delicious!

I have had a lot of pizza in DC and this was the best by far! I got a slice of the La Rosa and it was so good that I went back the next night for another slice. In addition, the food and drinks are priced fairly well and the staff is very attentive and friendly. I'm excited that a place like this is now open in Shaw.

Picked up pizza from here / Andy’s Pizza today. Got the margherita pizza and kale salad and thoroughly enjoyed both. A nice balance in between “nyc style” and “Italian DOC” style pizzas. I ordered ahead for a later time and they were happy to accommodate. Pickup was safe and easy.

Two Fridays in a row I've visited Echo Park after work. The pizza is by far the best I've had in the DMV, and I've lived here for 30 years. Passes the flop test and you can taste all the flavors of the ingredients. Also, they have amazing Lemonchello on tap(it tastes amazing).
