I went to the Bresh here and really enjoyed it! The venue is spacious, well-organized, and has a great vibe. I loved that the bars are set up all around the dance floor, so it’s super quick and easy to grab a drink without missing any of the party. Definitely coming back!

Google
This is a great venue, very clean, fantastic sound system. Key downside is parking, which is impossible except the 2 lots that charge $40. Don't mess around with security, saw them haul an underage drinker out with no discussion at a family friendly concert. No blame to them, but they don't play. If you break their rules (and the underage drinking one is posted everywhere) they will remove you immediately. Overall, I really liked this venue and would go back, while being cranky about the parking situation.

May 18, 2024 after the Washington Spirit Soccer Game, Ashley, Mari, Taye, and I went back to Gatsby for a couple drinks. Ashley and I then went to Echostage to see Yellowclaw and Flosstradamus! May 18, 2024 Yellowclaw and Flosstradamus live at Echostage Washington D.C. I started listening to Yellowclaw back in 2013/2014, same with Flosstradamus. It was nice to see them live after 10 years!

Google
Parking is definitely an issue, not much besides a lot or 2 near the venue and not a great area around. Overall the place is pretty big, had a second level, and a great sound system.

Google
Echostage is one of the better-managed venues I’ve been to when it comes to both crowd control and overall experience. Even when it’s packed, it never feels overly suffocating like some other spots. There’s usually space in the back of the venue and the top right corner if you want some breathing room or to step away from the main crowd. The venue is split into two levels, with the upstairs area being 21+. If you’re going for table service, the upstairs is where it’s at. Tables line the upper level and give you a great view of the stage. Prices vary by artist and placement, but expect to pay a premium—some of the front-facing balcony tables go for thousands. Definitely a splurge experience, but the service is solid and well-organized. There are bars on both sides of the venue, both upstairs and downstairs, and the bartenders are fast. Even on busy nights, lines move quickly and it’s never a painful wait to grab a drink. Bathrooms are surprisingly clean for a venue this size, and there are usually stalls available or lines that move fast—definitely a plus. There’s also a ton of security out front, and they do a great job keeping things orderly. The check-in process is quick and efficient. Parking is available right outside the entrance for about $40, and they only take cash, so be sure to come prepared. It’s convenient if you want to be close and avoid walking too far at night. Overall, Echostage strikes a good balance between high-energy crowds and well-run logistics. A great venue whether you’re on the floor or doing bottle service upstairs.

Google
Venue is great. It's pretty loud but not too bad. Lots of security and medical walking around constantly checking on people . Bars will give you cups of ice and water for free.

Google
This was the best event! Music was great and the Emcee was amazing kept us laughing all night long. Definitely recommend you purchase your ticket and attend one of these. Omg and the “RAVE” round is the best!

Google
Great place, great sound, check in and exit are always fast, efficient and safe. The ability of this place to host mega events but still remain safe and clean is unbelievable, even more when you count in the DC crowd.

Yelp
03/01/25 I was here for a sponsored event - Bingo Loco by Fever! The space was very large. I did not feel cramped in the space. A good time was had.

Yelp
My brothers and I drove hours for an Apashe show at Echostage, excited by its great reputation. Without warning or cause, we were kicked out before Apashe even came on. We had followed all venue policies and were given no explanation. The staff was rude and completely non-transparent, giving us zero explanation why they removed us from the venue. It felt like being punished for something we didn't do. I suspect they mistook us for another group and refused to admit their mistake. This was heartbreaking, and we received no refund. While the atmosphere seemed great, the staff ruined it--worst concert experience ever. I cannot recommend this venue.

Yelp
The lighting is freaking amazing...drinks aren't badly priced, and the front staff are kind and respectful. The only probably is that I personally feel they allow too many people inside. No room to dance, people are pushy and rude.
google avatar

Kylie D.

Yelp
My favorite club in DC! There is a huge dancefloor with ample room for how many people show up at each show except for the most popular artists. Tables are on the second floor, meaning that they don't block the view for those dancing. Screens are decent and there are some cool lasers and lights. Acoustics are great no matter where you stand. Plenty of bathrooms so you'll never have to wait. I don't drink so I can't comment on alcohol prices but there's free water! Do note that ADA accommodation seems pretty difficult to get here... I've emailed the club and they haven't responded to me in weeks. If you want it then you might have to pester someone about it.

Yelp
Timmy Trumpet was my first time at Echostage. The parking situation really isn't the best in the area - feels super sketchy, and the area is quite dark and hard to find if you're coming in for a late night concert. My partner and I decided to use the valet parking for $30 (cash only) for ease near the venue and pregame in the car; I definitely wasn't feeling like $50 on a few drinks in the venue. Walking to the venue wasn't too bad from there. Lin for security was about a 20 minute wait. Security was really strict and wouldn't let us eat the rest of our Hi-Chew candies outside the venue and had us throw it out... I definitely was upset about that since they're a premium pre-rave candy. Overall, the lighting and the show was great, but the venue itself felt crowded and therefore less than clean. However, ladies there are an abundance of bathroom stalls so there will never be a wait for the bathroom so that is a plus; also semi-clean. Would I recommend? Only if it's someone you REALLY want to see. Other than that, there are definitely better venues in the areas that I would recommend over Echostage.

Yelp
Awesome venue! Saw a 360 set for my queen Nora and it was so intimate and such a vibe. Great lighting and sound system, great crowd, friendly staff, cheap drinks, all around great time!

Yelp
One of the best venues for edm sound but too loud at times even w quality ear plugs. No menu with drinks to see prices and such nor a smart code to scan a menu. No baskets to put personal belongings in for security. They get too many customers to not have this. Some of the lighting makes you feel like things are moving or coming at you or flashing like crazy. It can be fun but a lot to take in for a concert that lasted over 5 hours. I came right in at 9 PM left at 2:15 AM, and heard the music still blaring around 2:45 AM passing through on the outside. Maybe if they allowed in/out, this wouldn't be such a big deal to me, but that would put a strain on security and much higher prices too- definitely not an option here. Probably a good option for a Taylor Swift concert. I had nothing to drink and no (illegal) drugs and those effects are part of the lighting effects. I can't speak for others (rofl) Security does a good job here. Still would come but could do better.

Yelp
I've been to many EDM concerts here. The acts that grace this locale are a good time. The paid lounge spaces are also comfortable and the bottle service is pretty attentive. It's the safety and the caliber of people either attending or surrounding the area that concern me. Parking has always been a challenge. Random guys looking for a good time and blatantly obvious what they're looking for have come up to me on occasion. I'd still come for the concerts, but would just suggest to be aware of yourself and of your surroundings. If you're going to drink, please be responsible for the amount you take and its source.

Yelp
I really didn't care for this venue. I will try to avoid if possible in the future. I came to see Ella Mai and her and the band were good, but the venue was just lacking. GLOWS: - They worked hard to get everyone inside the venue in an orderly fashion. GROWS: -The stage is too small with the length of the venue. It was too far to the bar and impossible to see -The road is blocked off to cars after the show. Getting an uber on the main road was a difficult process. -it felt overly crowded. I didn't even attempt the bar.

Yelp
Security and med team are trash. I was dancing and they stopped me to tell me I was too intoxicated???? Then walked me out and wouldn't let me back in nor get a refund. What kind of shit is that, ITS A DANCING VENUE. Don't know how this place makes top 10 in the US, it's bunk.
google avatar

Melissa S.

Yelp
I thought this place was completely overrated. The crowd that attends here is just not a good vibe. While the sound and lighting are fantastic, I didn't feel like this place was anything above and beyond any of the other clubs I've been to in the United States. The drinks were also extremely overpriced.

Sydney B.

Yelp
This is the worst concert venue I have ever been too. The ticketing team was very unprofessional. My friend had a ticket that they would not honor even with the confirmation. When talking to customer service they tried to help him but the people scanning the tickets were not understanding. Jay and Hakeem were very rude and overzealous they were cursing at us and everything. I will never return to this place again. We were able to talk to the manager I truly hope something is done about this so it doesn't happen to anyone else. If you buy tickets to this venue make sure it is from Ticketmaster because apparently they will not accept anything else. Customer service was not even understanding why they wouldn't let my friend in.

Yelp
Saw Men I Trust here back in November. I've only been to one other concert ever and it was small so I don't know much about venue comparisons but once inside, the venue is pretty big, double floors, bars, big restrooms.. When I got dropped off the line to get in wrapped around the corner but the security/event workers moved things along pretty quickly once doors opened. The security check was painless. The concert was perfect but I mean.. I credit Men I Trust for that. Once out of the concert, the police had the street blocked off so no cars could drive through. We all had to get our rides from the main street corner. Beware the street crawlers as the night progresses.. All in all, I'd return for another shindig!

Yelp
Came here for the Above & Beyond New Year show. This hybrid nightclub and concert venue feels a bit more like a concert venue. After living in Miami and loving the electronic music scene there, I think I was expecting it to feel more night clubby than it did. ***LOCATION*** Living in Richmond, we don't have much access to EDM venues, so it was nice to be able to take a train/bus to DC and come to Echostage. There wasn't a metro stop or easy bus we could take to this venue, so we ended up taking an uber. It was easy to find. ***EXPERIENCE*** It was a sold out show and extremely crowded. I hadn't been to an indoor concert since before the pandemic so it was a bit overstimulating. I wish they had an outdoor space to escape to, but once you leave, you can't get back in. The people I was with loved the light show. The music and lights really matched each other. I enjoyed the balcony. Although upstairs was reserved for VIP seating, it was less crowded and at the right angle, you had a great view of the stage. Watching the bottle girls walk by with flashing bottles reminded me a little of Miami. There were bars all along the venue so it was always easy to get their bottled water or something to drink. It was fun to be a part of #GroupTherapy. Above & Beyond, Andrew Bayer and Kasablanca put on a fun performance. ***PRICE*** We didn't get the cheapest tickets because we bought them after the show was sold out. We paid about $146 for the tickets. It was $5 (cash only) for coat check. ***BATHROOMS*** I have never been more grateful for a bathroom than I was at Echostage. There was never a wait for the stalls because there were so many toilets! It was a New Year's party..so it wasn't necessarily the cleanest as the night went on, but it wasn't absolutely disgusting. ***CONCLUSION*** It feels more like a concert venue than a nightclub, but it's great that it has so many big names. It can get crowded, but the balcony is a good place to get some space.

Yelp
I bought tickets for Kaytranada a couple weeks ago. Echostage oversold tickets for the event and we didn't even make it into the venue because the line was so long. They reply to reviews on Google saying to email them and they're sorry blah blah blah but they don't care. They took my $200 and didn't bother replying to my numerous emails. A bunch of morons managing that place.

Yelp
Echostage for a concert, hmmmm I did not know quite what to expect. Lodged between industrial buildings and Stadium strip club with no street parking. But I had to go because FKJ aka Funky Kiwi Juice just kicked off his tour and this was the only Atlantic region tour in the States. So, while the tickets were under $40 each, the parking was $60 per car and there was no other choice but to pay, because there is no street parking and security will roll up on you and tell you to move before you get towed. The entrance process was fast and well organized, and I must say I was impressed, it was like the 9:30 club with open walk around set up with bars on each side of the bottom floor, but upstairs they had lounge seating, more bars, and bottle service. The drinks were moderately priced, no wine though, just beer and hard alcohol. Lucky for me they had some light selections like Pilsners and Amstel Light available. The crowd was chill and sensible based on the artists' crowd; I felt safe and relaxed. The concert area, including the bathrooms are clean and the sound was excellent! When I add up the ticket costs and the parking which was right next to the entrance, it was worth the money and my trip was un-problematic. Summary: Dope Indie spot to catch alternative shows, turning out to be just as cool as the 9:30 Club, but not as fancy as the Anthem. I'm a fan!

Jerry M.

Yelp
Nasty venue full of security and staff with bad attitudes. Drinks and parking are overpriced. Security was more worried about underage drinking than the passed-out people out front and in the parking lot. Waste of money, never returning no matter who is performing.

Gentry A.

Yelp
Kicked us out for pretty much no reason. We had a "vape" that was nicotine, which is allowed according to the FAQ. Never going again.

Yelp
Love coming here for shows. The sound is clear and loud and the bass is permeating. The lighting and screens and effects are visually stunning. The staff are all super friendly and attentive. I get to see old rave fam and meet new rave fam while enjoying big name and local DJs, and have a safe space to dance. Can't ask for anything else! Thank you Echo for putting on show after show so we can enjoy and express ourselves!! Much love
google avatar

Vincent K.

Yelp
Venue is large enough to fit people and still have some space for breathing room. Drinks are pretty overpriced but that's what you get at most venues... $7 for a Red Bull though? Service was great though, bartenders got our drinks quick. The temperature was good too not too hot nor cold. I had a t-shirt and pants and was fine.

Yelp
Everyone who knows me, knows that I am an EXTREME Hip Hop fan! When I learned that all of the members of Griselda would be performing at Echostage, I knew I had to be there! This was my first visit to this venue and I was pleased with my experience here. The venue is quite large. It is a majority standing room only, with a downstairs area right in from of the stage and seating in the upstairs area. From what I gathered, there were a total of four bars, two upstairs and two downstairs. The drinks were kinda pricey, but that's to be expected for a venue such as this. Echostage has a WONDERFUL hvac system. The venue was packed, so they air was much needed and appreciated! The show was amazing and the sound was really good! Parking kinda sucks, but hey, it's DC! Small inconvenience for a once in a lifetime musical experience!!

Asia R.

Yelp
I have been very impressed each of the times that I have gone to EchoStage for an event; the slightly modify the aesthetic too. I especially liked one of the last times where they handed out water to the crowd during a crowded event. That was a very nice touch. Looking forward to my next EchoStage event!
google avatar

Patrick S.

Yelp
It's a music venue in an odd rough neighborhood. However it provides a great experience for newbies and returning customers. Pros: - top talent comes to play at the venue - Cost isn't too high to see the artist - plenty of space -great acoustic Cons: -getting there is annoying -Ubers are expensive and delayed - mixed drinks are $22! Might as well drink at home - selection isn't all that great - very strict security, don't risk bringing anything that isn't approved by the website Over all I loved the place and look forward to the next show. I feel like people should go in groups and be safe out there. Wear ear protections because it does get really loud. Over 108 decibels!
google avatar

Ekaterina I.

Yelp
We gad a great experience in Echo in early April with Black Coffee performance! Stuff and security were super nice and friendly, sound was great and we loved the entire show! Thank you Echostage

Bryan R.

Yelp
I am so thankful DC has a world-class club, otherwise, the best DJs would pass us by. Echostage has one of the best sound systems I have ever heard and the DJs know it. Zero distortion a few dB from organ collapse. On par with the top systems in New York. Visuals are good too. The crowd on the whole is great, party people take care of each other. If you want you can make new friends. The staff are awesome and super nice BUT you have to bring the good vibes; if you mouth off to them or act bratty they'll put you outside, so check your attitude at the door and you'll have a great time! Oh, and the bartenders are super super nice! You know it's a great party when the bartenders are dancing too! The only hard part is parking; lot prices are high and cars on the street get broken into...ask around or do your research if you are driving. I don't do bottle service myself, but if that's your style, it looks like they take great care of you!
google avatar

Breaunna O.

Yelp
The stage set up here is phenomenal! I love the production. The sound is even better! You can really hear the music wherever you are standing. VIP is nice but not needed. I really enjoyed the company of the crowd around me. Everyone was nice and polite and seemed like they where really there for the music (I saw boogie T, so down, and the wider). Security is NO JOKE! You can not bring anything in. I even asked if I can go back to the car to place the items they took from me and they refused I had to throw it away or I would be blocked from entering the venue. (I didn't even enter or scan my ticket yet!) For reference the item was a necklace.

Stephen R.

Yelp
I love the venue but sometimes the VIP girls care to much about making money and forget that the customer is here to have a good time and spend money. The vip security guard Devin (black gentleman with dreads) feel bad I dnt know his last name but he was doin a great job for guests who are spending money!!! I would keep this guy!!!!!!!!!!! Knows how to read a room and did a great job watching over us. But the vip girls were trying to get him in trouble I feel like. But 6 out of 5 for his customers service!

Maria P.

Yelp
Poor service , I felt like they were prejudging our group . We had a VIP over $800 and they still didn't care , I will also call my back to cancel because they never deliver what it as supposed to be. We bought outside tickets and even got a vip table yet we were still on their watch when echo stage is free vibe club to be free to listen to their singers your paying for . I truly feel the wrong doing of echo stage management. I hope they are able to recover from that .

Ben B.

Yelp
Do NOT go if you have a medical condition. My friend is a diabetic and needed food for his blood sugar. They did not have anything and wouldn't allow him to leave and come back in. Place is a death trap for diabetics.
google avatar

Brandon K.

Yelp
The bouncers tonight were ridiculous. I came here with my friend who has mobility issues, and despite clear legal proof they gave him a hard time to get in, claiming that he was stumbling because he was "too fucked up". I kept insisting that they just look at the photos of his hospitalization, or his handicap pass, or the giant scars stretching across his entire leg, and they didn't care. I guess they thought that I was being problematic for advocating for my friend, so they wouldn't let me in for the entire night either. Never witnessed such obvious ableism - and don't be fooled, the police aren't there to help the attendees. They're only there to intimidate you on security's behalf. Pictured: the ableist "man" on a power trip.

Cole F.

Yelp
This place is horrible. Gross venue with very rude staff. Drinks are expensive and poorly made and the "medic" staff do not do anything helpful.

Brooke W.

Yelp
Even giving this place one star brings me pain. Despite having tickets and looking forward to the event, I was denied entry because I was deemed "too drunk." While I understand the importance of safety the staffs approach was rude and lacking empathy. Not only did I miss out on the concert that I was looking forward to, but I was also treated disrespectfully. I will not be returning to this venue and will be sharing my experience with others.
google avatar

Sharon L.

Yelp
Solid venue for raves, one of the best I've been to. Great spacious bathrooms that are always staffed and constantly cleaned. Bar is relatively fast but keep in mind very pricey and the price somehow changes with every bartender you have LOL. FREE WATER at the front of the stage. just come up and ask one of them and you'll get a free water bottle instead of paying like $5+ for a bottle at the bars. 4 bars in the venue, 2 upstairs and 2 downstairs. Plenty of room but they do like to pack the house whenever big names come to town seemingly without regard for safety lol. be warned
google avatar

Josh C.

Yelp
Great sound and overall the experience was amazing. If you want to experience electronic dance music at a venue of its size...this is it.

Maranda S.

Yelp
The short guard with the Zay tattoo put his hands on me to "get me out the way" then when i said "excuse me that was rude" , he told me to leave and didn't let me in, this is not my first experience with him . as to one time previously, he didn't let my friend in saying she was drinking when we had no drinks on us, not even water . this place used to be better .
google avatar

Emily L.

Yelp
Echostage venue was pretty dope, it was a sold out show so it made it really crowded at the very end of the night. I had no idea until I was trying to leave that the whole place was filled with people. Security was really great. Treated you well and didn't get overly pushy. NOTE: this place does not have parking I tried opting out of the $40 parking and parked on the side alley but because it's in an industrial area, someone shattered my window just to take my car charger. I will never try to skip out on paying the parking fee after last night. Venue is really great. Music is super loud and awesome.
google avatar

Christina W.

Yelp
A very unwelcoming vibe from the beginning. Gruff security gaurds going through your shit and feeling you up. Fun! Then there is absolutely no seating without paying extra for VIP, apparently. They are not ADA compliant.
google avatar

Francesca P.

Yelp
Been coming here for 10 years now and it's consistently a great venue for electronic shows. That's mostly what I have come to echostage for. All of the staff I've befriended/talked to have been friendly and they are all serious about their jobs. I've always felt safe at this venue. From time to time I feel that tickets are oversold and the ga floor can get packed, especially with the under 21 crowd. Otherwise, the production here is impeccable. The lights, lasers, and sound continue to impress me time and time again. I know that it continually bounces between #1 and #2 club in the world so I'd say it's definitely worth checking out if you've never been!

Sean S.

Yelp
The first aid department is fantastic at what they do. Please give them raises, they give a real care to the people who come to this establishment and have a close eye on the people who enjoy music in their community. 10 stars out of 5!!!
google avatar

Yelp
I attended an event at Echostage in August 2023. I've had 2 knee surgeries recently and consider myself to be temporarily disabled. In between acts, I sat on the floor, against the wall, near the entryway (out of everyone's way; there is no seating on the first floor). Event staff told me I could not sit on the floor. I explained that I was disabled. That did not change things. They made me get up. They told me that there was a first-come-first-serve couch on the second floor. I asked if there was an elevator to get me up there. They said there was not. It seems to me that Echostage should have reasonable accommodations for people with disabilities (a chair would have been nice).
google avatar

Jacob F.

Yelp
Reviewed my bank statement and the first drink was correct second one was 4 dollars over and the drinks I bought my friends were 12 dollars over. This is crazy and that's after I tipped all the charges, won't be buying drinks from here again

Jake B.

Yelp
While Echostage boasts an impressive lineup of events and a fantastic venue, my experience was marred by the overly strict and invasive security staff. From the moment I entered, I felt like I was being interrogated rather than welcomed. Their aggressive pat-downs and intrusive bag searches made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. It's one thing to ensure safety, but their methods were excessive and borderline harassment. It's a shame because the venue itself is top-notch, but the heavy-handed security measures really put a damper on the experience.

Dachar W.

Yelp
EDM music club Famous Dj showing Amazing experiences 18+ The most amazing people No fighting It's like we all just met but we enjoy music together like we friendly with everyone who is there that night It's f*** fantastic night club

Jasmine E.

Yelp
Went here for a few different concerts. Really nice production. Cool atmosphere. It does get kind of hot so I would dress for that. Drinks are super pricy. Looking at 20 a vodka redbull.
google avatar

Madelyn D.

Yelp
I have a really good time here: The place is huge, and the bathrooms are clean and there are plenty of them. There are multiple floors, and lots of different areas to hang out. You don't have to wait for the bar too long.

Amara B.

Yelp
Ridiculous. One person in our 6 person group threw up from car sickness so they denied all of us. Afterwards they lied to us about being able to get a refund.

Rachel D.

Yelp
Everything was fine except for the fact that they separated men and women to do a pat search, and the mens line went 5x faster because theres more male employees. Plus they let all the general admissions fill up the ADA reserved section....pretty sure thats an ADA violation....

Yelp
I went to see Chris Lake at Echostage in December 2021. The show was great, vaccine cards were checked at the door, and the whole experience felt safe and fun! Things to know before you go - there's no public transit access and you probably don't want to walk around this part of DC at night. Taxis and ubers are the way to go, but it can be expensive and chaotic at the end of the night when everyone is trying to leave. Also, EDM shows start really late. Chris Lake went on just after 1am and from what I've heard that's pretty standard. Have fun!!

Trey Joseph W.

Yelp
It's January.... 500+ people in line for coat check and they have ONE person working it. What a waste of money to stand in line for 45 minutes and counting. Not even 1/4 of the way to checking my coat. This place should be ashamed of this. Also we got here at 10:30 pm, so not even peak.
