"This fine dining restaurant is as chic as the designer hotel of the same name. Whether in the conservatory or the lounge area, the modern, minimalist decor feels both cosy and stylish. In the kitchen, young chef-patron Nicolai Peter Wiedmer demonstrates his mastery of classic cookery as well as his creative flair – he also likes to incorporate Asian flavours. In the evening, the set menu ("Lieblings Momente") can also be served in a vegan version. At lunchtime, two smaller tasting menus (one vegan) are served, as well as the business lunch. Wonderful dinner @Eckert fine dining. Everything was delicious, beautiful and tasty. We discovered a lot of new flavors! One of the rare places that offer a non alcoholic pairing with the menu. Service was very nice and spoke English. Michelin star well deserved!

Great hotel and very helpful staff, the breakfast was great but didn’t like the dinner at the restaurant although it claims to be a Michelin star. Rooms are spacious and clean, the hotel is at a great location very close to Basel SBB (around 30 minutes by Uber/taxi), the bus is the only public transport available and it’s a bit slow

We had a fabulous stay at The Eckert. Our room was fabulous, lovely and clean. We were near to the little pool, which I would have loved to have had time to use as it looked great. There was a lovely garden area to relax in, too. All the staff here were lovely and made us very welcome. The breakfast is very tasty with lots of choice. You can get to anywhere using The Eckert as a base because the local transport is excellent, so France, Switzerland and Germany all on your doorstep. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We went there the first time in quite some time. Both had the full menu + wine journey (pick it if you get the chance, it really lifts the whole evening to another experience). All the courses were delicious and came with perfectly selected wine (and in one case Sherry). Service was spot on, for me exactly the amount of attentivness to the guest. So, we'll be back for sure.

Very rude woman in reception, also the main reason i book this hotel is parking which is full once i came. I park my car 200 mt away from hotel in darkness.

Our third time here and now are go to en-route from England to Italy. The owner and staff are very helpful. We had the most fabulous meal. The service is excellent and the quality of produce first class. They made sure I could charge my car. Our room was a little warm but we could have got out of bed to open a window! Very clean and comfortable. Nespresso available in entrance.

Hotel Das Eckert, breakfast was very good, this was expected as they also have a fine dining restaurant integrated into the hotel. Unfortunately they had an outside catering and dinner was not available. We booked the room because of the restaurant. Approx. 7 km from Basel. We ate at the old town in Basel which was lovely. Room pictures were a bit more promising then the room itself but still better than the average.
