Eckington Manor

"You’ll find this proudly run 13C manor house and its collection of characterfully converted barns located on a 300 acre farm. Attractive modern dishes showcase local ingredients in ambitious combinations – and for those who want to get hands-on there’s a cookery school. Bedrooms are stylish." - Michelin Inspector

Wonderful stay as usual. This was our 6th stay, and the accommodation and dining was superb. We stayed for 2 nights and dined in on both evenings. We were not disappointed! Great ingredients exquisitely prepared. All staff were extremely friendly, professional and welcoming. Hope to be back soon!

Sunday lunch was superb. |Salmon locally sourced and divinely presented|Sirloin beef exceeding expectations and Yorkshire pudding tasty. Best cauliflower cheese and red cabbage accompaniments I have tasted. |Brownie dessert (I asked for a tiny portion) as wasn’t sure if I could manage much. |Great wine and service.

From the moment we arrived all members of staff we encountered from reception to the bar to the restaurant were welcoming, friendly and couldn't do enough to help us with anything we asked for. The menu gave us plenty of options to choose from each night and the food was delicious. Our room (in the old dairy) was small but extremely comfortable and welcoming. Thank you Team Eckington, for a wonderful stay. My husband and I hadn't visited before, but will be sure to visit again.

Absolutely beautiful hotel. The room we stayed in was in the old Manor House so had plenty of character. Room had great amenities and a very comfortable bed. The only suggestion would be better signage to where to check in but would certainly not mark down because of this. Would definitely stay again.

Unfortunately this hotel is not family friendly. We had two children with us but were only allowed one small fold out bed. Our family gathering had 4 rooms booked so we spent a lot of money over the weekend. They made a big fuss as soon as we arrived about not flushing nappies down the toilet. The room was nice but there was no WiFi in the rooms and it was way too hot. At breakfast we were told there is no child’s menu and they don’t do smaller portions. We had to order a full breakfast and split it up ourselves. The customer service was awful. We had to wait for a long time for the food and were made to feel very awkward asking for anything. Not once did anyone ask if our stay was ok or if there was anything we needed. The waitress clearly did not like children and made it clear as she snapped at us on the way out. Would never go back.

Beautiful location and buildings, staff were friendly and welcoming on arrival ||The room was amazing. We stayed in the converted parlour building, the room was decorated to a very high standard and exceeded our expectations! ||Arguably the nicest stay we’ve had in the UK. ||Thank you!

The hotel is great, 2nd time we've stayed, food in restaurant is very tasty and excellent attention to detail and service. Room was in the older house, super comfy large bed and well decorated shower room. Lots of heating and windows and tea/coffee facilities. Would highly recommend staying here for sure!
