I yesterday enjoyed a fantastic lunch at Eclipse Bistro with friends, and it was an absolute highlight! From the moment we sat down, the wonderful service shone through – our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and made us feel truly welcomed in the cozy, modern atmosphere. The food was outstanding. We started with the amazing Sesame Crusted Tuna appetizer: perfectly seared, fresh ahi with a vibrant Fresno pepper coulis, pickled scallions, and a bright arugula-radish salad that popped with flavor. The Grilled Beef Skewers were a revelation – tender dry-aged NY strip paired with that addictive peppadew and blue cheese fondue, grilled to juicy perfection. For mains, the salmon and shrimp salads were fresh, generous, and beautifully balanced: flaky grilled salmon and plump shrimp over crisp greens with thoughtful dressings and seasonal touches that made every bite refreshing yet satisfying. Everything felt skillfully executed with high-quality ingredients. Eclipse Bistro nails elevated yet approachable New American cuisine. We’ll definitely be back soon – highly recommend for a delightful lunch with friends!

First visit to Eclipse. Enjoyed our Valentine's dinner. Food and service were excellent. Calamari was prepared a bit differently than we've had before - recommend giving it a try. Pork chop was very tasty - large portion - taking some home. We will be going back.

I took my wife to Eclipse for our anniversary, this was our first time at Eclipse. Our server was Julianna she came over and greeted us with a smile. She was extremely friendly and was very helpful wit helping us choose our apps and entrées. She kept checking on us to make sure all was well along with engaging us in conversation. We thoroughly enjoyed having Juliana as our server along with the apps and entrées she suggested. She is an asset to Eclipse Bistro. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️👍👍👍👍👍

8/09/23 Dinner. My wife and I shared the mini 3 crab cakes appetizer (5). You could taste crab and the ocean in each bite. So good! We also shared the grilled salmon, one of the evening specials. The salmon was deliciously grilled and sat on a bed of arugula, cannelonni beans, sweet corn (and some other ingredients I can't remember right now) that included a red pepper colored sauce which complimented the salmon very well. This dish was exceptional (5). We ended the meal by sharing the eclipse banana split dessert (5) and a cappuccino each (5). The room was a bit noisy, but I didn't care bc the food was so good! Our server, Demetrius, was excellent (5). I will be asking for him the next time we dine there. Also, we arrived without a reservation around 6:00 pm. The maitre'd quietly asked us if we could be finished by 7:30, the time that table was reserved for. It wasn't a problem since we just arrived in Wilmington this afternoon and picked this place off the internet. I'm very glad we did. I asked to see a lunch menu (picture included) in case we go back for lunch. Ambiance = 4.5 Appetizer = 5 Main = 5 Dessert = 5 Service = 5 Overall = 5 out of 5 (my first 5/5 rating) 5 = Excellent: Uniquely satisfying. 4 = Very Good: Better than expected. 3 = Average: An everyday experience. 2 = Fair: Below par. Dirty smells. & / or flies.

Excellent service. I had the Caesar salad with blackened salmon, asparagus fries and I forget the name of the cocktail but I always go with mezcal if it's available. My other half had the scallops which he enjoyed. Food and drinks 4/5, service 5/5. Would recommend.

Yelp
My husband and I had a wonderful experience at Eclipse Bistro! The restaurant is small and quaint. Make reservations if you want a nice table. Of course, we didn't have reservations but opted to sit at the bar instead of waiting for a table. This was a great move because Andrew, the bartender did a fantastic job accommodating our needs. Unknowingly, when we arrived at 6:10 on Sunday, we were at the end of their daily happy hour. Andrew, immediately took our drink and appetizer order. I got a nice pour of crisp, dry white wine for $7. My husband ordered a smoked bourbon cocktail for $8. We also had the Brussels sprouts for $6. The drinks and appetizer were delicious! We decided to share the Eclipse burger. I am glad we did because it was huge. It was cooked perfectly! We ordered it medium and it came out juicy with a pink center, yummy. The burger came with a large portion of fresh cut, hot fries. Best burger that I have had in along time. Don't sleep on Eclipse because this restaurant is a hidden gem!

Yelp
We came here for a birthday dinner as a group of four. There was street parking nearby and we made a reservation in advance. This is a lovely spot for a special occasion because they give you a giant sparkler for the guest of honor at the end of your meal. It's an intimate restaurant. I loved the unique lights at the tables that felt like taper candles. I'm not sure if it's because of what we ordered, but wait times were really long. It took about an hour for us to get our entrees. Thankfully we were in good company. And our party enjoyed their cocktails. We started with the brussels and cauliflower. This was beyond delicious. You have to order this as a starter. They had a quail special and monkfish special the evening we were there. The birthday girl ordered the quail. It took about an hour to arrive and came undercooked. Thankfully they were kind about cooking it more. I think she enjoyed it once she got to eat. Her husband got the pork chops. I shared the monkfish with a friend and really enjoyed it. We also got the seared tuna for the table and that was good too. Our waitress was super kind especially with the food hiccups. They have one gender neutral restroom stall. It has the prettiest wallpaper. We were stuffed by the time the dessert menus came out. Thankfully they still gave us a mini scoop of ice cream for the birthday girl with a sparkler. It was lots of fun. I think wait times were long for the specials and if we stuck to the regular menu things would've arrived faster. I'd go back to try more yummy food.

Yelp
Rotating seasonal menu!! Went fall 2025 dinner menu featuring duck bao buns (2), pork chops (2), crispy calamari, and smores bread pudding. We don't go out much in Delaware, so friend's recommendations carry a lot of weight. Everything tasted divine. I would order all these again. The pork chops were filing enough to split between two people. Dish included pork chops (medium), crispy potatoes, Brussels sprouts, as well as sweet onions. Also, the drinks!! I love the different size glasses they come in. We got lychee sour (twist on sweet lychee martini, dirty martini (gave 6 olives :), and red wine sangria. The ambiance, the sweet servers, and the delicious food will definitely make us want to visit again for a special occasion.

Yelp
Service was above and beyond, Patrick's our server made excellent recommendations. We went for the happy hour, but there were no empty seats at the bar. So we sat at table and ordered full price drinks and appetizers, which were all good. The ambiance is friendly and pleasant The dinner menu looked inviting, maybe next time I am in Delaware, i'll check out dinner.

Yelp
As you enter, the diminutive bar beckons. There's a nice selection of wines by the glass, as well as several intriguing cocktails. The adjoining dining area isn't terribly large, but the tables are quite comfortable and well-spaced. You're just far enough from your neighbors to carry on a discreet conversation, but just close enough to savor a bit of that bustling bistro bonhomie. The service, in true bistro fashion, is friendly, exceedingly knowledgeable and, even on the busiest of evenings as smooth as a Japanese railroad. The food, I would hasten to add, is as agreeably cozy as the ambience. Like the atmosphere, it's charmingly sophisticated without being the least bit stuffy... And Julia Child's maxim, inscribed above the semi-open kitchen, tells it all: "Cooking is like love, it should be entered into with abandon or not at all." To start things off, the Mushroom & Chorizo Tart is nothing sort of extraordinary. Wild mushroom ragù is companioned by spicy hits of chorizo sausage and baked in a perfectly prepared crust. The pièce de resistance, however, is the incomparable gastrique, a reduction of vinegar and sugar that can be infused with a variety of culinary options. In this case, the fortuitous ingredient of choice is sherry. It is designed to bring out the assertive flavors of a particular dish and look good while doing it. An addictive treat for both eye and palate. Equally recommended is a recently sampled daily special: the Chicken Corn & Avocado Fritter. You can always count on the Eclipse kitchen to come up with something uniquely distinctive; and the fritter most assuredly fills the bill. The batter is just the right consistency. Then, of course, there's that incredible poblano/potato cream sauce... rich, but not at all heavy or cloying... beautifully & subtly seasoned... and velvety smooth on the palate. Seldom have I sampled a dish so utterly beguiling. Kudos to the kitchen. A must try. The restaurant's salads also make excellent starters. The Caesar is quite good, though not terribly exciting. I much prefer the Bibb Lettuce spruced up with grape tomatoes pine nuts, shaved Parmigiano-Reggiano, and splash of dynamite preserved orange vinaigrette. My nod, however, goes to the Wedge Salad. This is a menu item that has recently suffered from a good deal of "ubiquitous consumption" of late. Be that as it may, Eclipse's rendition succeeds admirably where others often fail. Not only is the iceberg pristinely fresh, as you would expect, but the other accoutrements - namely the tomatoes, lardons, and creamy Stilton dressing - are more than generously applied. The latter is particularly important, as, in many eateries, you usually run out of dressing long before you run out of Wedge. No such worries here however. As you move on to the entrées, possibilities abound - all gently tweaked by the kitchen's captivating caresses. The Pan-Seared Scallops, for example, are pillowed on mushroom risotto, aided and abetted by an intriguing chorizo relish, shot of sherry gastrique, and splash of truffle oil. The Bistro Catch (fish of the chef's choosing) is presented on an island of saffron dirty rice accompanied by roasted broccoli and a zippy sauce etouffée. And speaking of matters piscatorial, nothing quite beats the extraordinary Seared Ahi Tuna. Succulently rare, it arrives at table on an island of vegetable ragout surrounded by a rich sea of smoked butternut squash purée. The crowning touch...? A stylish splash of tangy balsamic glaze. Tuna is a rather robust denizen of the deep, and the kitchen's chosen accompaniments prove to be excitingly complementary in their strong supporting roles. Meatier matters are ably represented by the likes of a hefty Black Angus New York Strip, Pan Seared Venison Loin, European Chicken Breast, and Sherry Braised Pork Shank. But if there is one entrée that is an absolute must, it is the kitchen's incomparable rendition of Pappardelle Bolognese. Its consistency is neither too dry nor too soupy, its flavors intense without being over the top, and its seasonings - including a sublime hint of tarragon - are exhilarating without being intrusive. Desserts carry on the kitchen's good work. Possibilities include a number of old favorites like Molten Chocolate Cake and S'mores Bread Pudding, as well as a top-notch Chocolate Truffle Gelato. But the table - and personal - favorite proved to be the incomparably delicious Lemon Tart Brûlée, an innovate takeoff on the traditional Crème Brûlée. The perfect conclusion to a most satisfying evening. Highly recommended on all counts, Eclipse Bistro is surely worth a journey... Well, a short road trip at the very least.

Yelp
Very much enjoyed our Friday-night dinner catching up with friends at Eclipse Bistro. With the shades pulled down so the light was muted and diners weren't blinded by the setting sun, the dining room felt cozy and service was stellar. We started with a variety of Old Fashioned drinks and a delicious "No Buzz" cocktail, That's My Jam (blueberry syrup, mint, honey, lime, ginger beer), which had just the right amount of bite. We shared Crispy Calamari (crispy rings, capers, olives, tomatoes, red chili aioli) and Brussels & Cauliflower (prosciutto, marcona almonds, smoked paprika-honey vinaigrette), which were both delicious. We enjoyed the bread basket (especially the basil-y olive oil) while waiting for our entrees. Both the Crab Cakes (garlic & herb roasted potatoes*, sauteed haricot verts, lemon-dill tartar sauce) and the Eclipse Burger (bacon, cooper, beefsteak tomato, romaine, brioche roll) were well received. To cap off the meal, we indulged in port, a bread pudding, and the chocolate lava cake with espresso gelato, which everyone agreed was a must-get-again dish! Would definitely recommend, if dining in Wilmington. *Subbed out for the inviting french fries I saw circulating the dining room and was not disappointed!

Yelp
We don't get to this restaurant often because it's a bit pricey, but every visit feels like such a treat. It's one of those rare Delaware spots that's worth every penny -- elevated but never pretentious, unlike a lot of the newer places opening up lately. The menu is creative without being too eclectic, and everything we've ever ordered has been excellent. I never even pay much attention to the ambiance because the food is just that good. The service is always top-notch, too -- I don't think we've ever had a bad server here. Our server last night, Demetrius, was exceptional. He was attentive, thoughtful, and genuinely kind. I loved that he asked if we wanted bread instead of just dropping it off -- small detail, big difference. At the end of the night, he personally packed up my leftovers and offered a bag without me having to ask. It's those little things that make this place stand out. We shared the Caesar salad (fresh, crisp, and generously sized), and I had the roasted red pepper soup special -- absolutely divine. So many layers of flavor that I finished every bite, which I never do! My husband ordered the spinach ricotta malfatti special and basically licked the plate clean. My entrée, the delicata squash, was such a pleasant surprise -- unique, beautifully prepared, and far better than the typical vegetarian options most restaurants offer. No bland pasta or fake-meat burgers here! Truly one of Delaware's best -- thoughtful service, inventive food, and consistent quality every time. They're part of the Platinum group and I think their first restaurant. I wish Redire would become a little bit more unique in their menu options. They're definitely putting all of their attention into this restaurant and I just wish that with Redfire they would share some of the love.

Yelp
Wonderful dinner. Caesar salad was good. Pork chop in bbq glaze was delicious. Service was good, our server was very personable. Amazing drinks!

Yelp
It was my fault for not calling ahead? I was pleasantly surprised because the decor was upbeat and slightly retro. The place WAS STANDING ROOM ONLY. The host/ server apologized and said tables were expected as people began leaving. After a while, the GM approached me and said that "he'd made a place for me." He then led me to a table. My server was very friendly and polite. She was helpful in showing me how to navigate the menus. I chose the pork chop ( I couldn't eat the whole thing.) I had a great dining experience. Polite staff, good food and service. Great drinks!!! I'll visit them again.

Yelp
What a hidden gem good, ambience and service was just super perfect. Nicole was our server and she was so professional and a great server. Will be back soon :)

Yelp
We booked here for NYE and were not disappointed! The drinks were really good, and the food was not a pre fix menu. The service was excellent. Would make another NYE res and will def be back for lunch and more dinners soon!

Yelp
The restaurant is beautifully decorated, the food was amazing, and the service was wonderful.

Yelp
Found the atmosphere and food to be terrific! Appreciate that we could enjoy a wonderful dinner and not rushed to have our table turned. Our server was so knowledgeable on the menu and his recommendations were on point.

Juliann E.

Yelp
Food was A+, i recommend the cheesesteak eggs roslls! Service was great, just slow to start because it was so busy and one bartender. Ambiance is chill and intimate.
google avatar

Yelp
Food was so good! Highly recommend the shrimp bruschetta as an appetizer. Our bartender Peyton was amazing, she super sweet and made great drinks. Love the open kitchen concept and it is great place to sit outside.

Yelp
What a pleasant surprise! We were in town for a couple of days and were told this would be a good place for lunch. It was. The fried asparagus were delightful. They were fried perfectly, tender, and the sauce was very good. The hamburger with goat cheese, mushrooms, and bun was fantastic and I do not often eat hamburgers out, but my friend wanted one; we shared it. The hamburger is definitely something one can share especially if one gets another side dish. Our waiter was very nice and fun too. If back in town again, will definitely seek this place out for a meal.

Allison F.

Yelp
Loved everything about this place. Can't say enough. The ambiance/decor, the staff/servers, the drinks were amazing and the was wonderful

Stephanie N.

Yelp
So disappointing!! Mushroom risotto way too salty. Had to send back (something I NEVER do). Pork chops were overcooked and tasted as though just smeared in bottled bbq sauce. Salmon a ridiculously small piece over a tasteless mass of SOMETHING. 3 Scallops served on salty, overcooked grits. Our 3 Starters not good either. Everything overpriced for what we had.
google avatar

Brooke Y.

Yelp
My friend and I stopped in and had a wonderful time! I got the salmon sandwich, a Lychee Sour, and a blueberry mocktail, and my friend got the salmon salad. Service was quick and friendly, and the restaurant is beautiful on the inside!
google avatar

Holly T.

Yelp
UPDATE: We've been here several times and largely pleased with our experiences. Today, however, our meals were a bit offbeat. I ordered crispy calamari which was not so crispy when dug out from the topping. It also was not tender as expected. It was graciously returned to the kitchen and we were not charged. The Wedge Salad was good but the lardons were over cooked and hard. My husband's Grilled Salmon Salad was served without beets -- he was told in advance the restaurant was out. He reported the salmon overcooked and salad overdressed. Maybe someone new in the kitchen? Regan has served us each time and is always pleasant and efficient.
google avatar

Renee B.

Yelp
I had not been back to the restaurant in quite some time. It's a decent local alternative in this part of Wilmington, however they don't have many vegetarian dishes for someone like me. The salad I had was fine and there are a couple of sides but no main dishes for those that don't eat meat. Service was friendly and attentive. Parking can be difficult in the area depending on time of day.
google avatar

Jack M.

Yelp
Tuna Poke: The tuna was tender, but not exceptionally so. The taste was fresh and no "fishy" element. The crisps given to dip this were inappropriately thin for weight of the poke. And this rendered them nearly useless. Fried Bologna Sandwich: This was a good version of the sandwich. It's a bit heavy on mayo for an already fatty dish. The fries were soggy but I will pass that off as being a symptom of COVID takeout. Overall there were good aspects going on here, but this spot is not executing at an exception level of cuisine. It's a bistro, and I believe it does that well.
google avatar

Mykl A.

Yelp
Eclipse was a very pleasant place to have a light lunch before 3:00 p.m. when most other places opened. It has simple and very nice decor, our waitress vzw extremely pleasant, efficient and very accommodating when my drink was not what I expected. The house pino noir was acceptable and the food was tasty. Just visiting Wilmington but if local would probably go again.

Carol P.

Yelp
The restaurant was noisy and crowded for a Tuesday night. I guess that's the latest acceptable ambiance. We shared a salad which worked well for us. The cocktail was suppose to be a martini but was served in a smaller Manhattan glass. The Crab cakes were good but on the smaller side for the $$$. The string beans with the crab cake were overcooked and mushy . The little bread for the table was tasty We shared a small lava cake dessert -yummy . The cappuccino was luke warm which was a disappointment. Maybe their coffee maker was not working well or overworked. The waiter was nice and did follow-up but was probably overworked. Btw - i had lunch there and it was far more pleasant and good.
google avatar

Angela C.

Yelp
Absolutely the best meal I've had in a long while. Demetris was a fantastic, very attentive waiter. He made our experience very pleasant and he just put the cherry on top of the fantastic meal. We shared the mini crab cakes which had loads of flaky crab. Very good. We had the salmon special which was seared salmon with a chipotle sauce and succotash made with corn, cauliflower, squash and white beans with a white sauce. Everything was cooked to perfection and tasted fantastic. For dessert we had their take on a banana split. 3 scoops of gelato, Carmelized bananas, pineapple, and chocolate and Carmel sauces. Delicious! Then the perfectly made cappuccinos. Thank you Eclipse Bistro for giving us a very satisfying night.

Elyse R.

Yelp
This is a top notch restaurant staffed by amazing people. The food( i had the carrot soup special and the salmon sandwich) was delicious and my mock tail so good. I was in the area to visit Wintertur (an hour from home) and my phone became weirdly non- functional . My waiter was attuned to my worry and gave the phone to the manager (Justin) who actually googled a solution and returned it to me functional again. This was above and beyond. The food was yummy and the staff welcoming and caring! Give it a try-very close to Wintertur. I know i will be returning.

Yelp
This was one of the best dining experiences I've had in a while. Demetrius, our server, was outstanding, the bartender/mixologist was amazing and the food....omg. The chefs deserve ALL the compliments. Presentation, quality and taste were impeccable. I'll be back...frequently.

Yelp
Nice ambience; great food. The chef is fantastic. The bartender knows how to make an awesome drink. Quite busy for a Monday night. I highly recommend!

Yelp
Food was very good and the atmosphere was nice. Service could use just a little improvement. It appeared it was just our server.

Yelp
Came by for dinner Nice location with plenty of parking Good interior with friendly reception Many options on the menu with a top notch bar Soup was fresh and delicious Order the crab cakes - a five star hit Chocolate cake dessert was a homer in

Yelp
Such a cute spot that I often drove by, but finally got a chance to try. The menu was concise and everything seemed to be made to perfection. Looking forward to going back.

Yelp
Baddest place ever it doesn't give you the Way great food you order terrible terrible terrible in Dunkin

Maureen E.

Yelp
The restaurant is small and dark, the drinks Cosmo Blanco was delicious. The appetizers buffalo chicken spring rolls and shrimp were very good. I order the crab cake and it was disappointing. They where small with a lot of filler and over cooked. I got a small potion of roasted potatoes and green bean on top of a large amount of tartar sauce which was all you could taste. I personally don't care for heavy tartar sauce. The waiter was wonderful. I would go back for happy hour to get the cosmo and appetizer again
google avatar

Duane T.

Yelp
For the appetizer I had the fries with aioli sauce along with their calamari both delicious and. For the main course I had the crab cakes which were good as well and for dessert I had the banana split and the bread pudding which is what drove me to leave a review. I felt that the cookie under the split should have been warm and the bread pudding should have been as well since both had ice cream on top it would have been the perfect send off. The service and our waiter was great and the ambiance is cool
google avatar

Nina C.

Yelp
Really enjoyed this meal. I'm a foodie and love really unique flavors. This place was excellent. I will definitely be coming back here. The service was great too! Everything was excellent... my fav was the pasta dish. The pasta tasted homemade and the sauce was super light and refreshing for a cream sauce...and I love that the food came out fresh and hot.

Yelp
Great restaurant and bar with a cozy vibe. Great Chef and staff who are attentive and knowledgeable about wine and drink pairings. The menu is always changing with fun new additions plus some of the go to food. Tuna tar tar is amazing, flank steak was deliscious and risotto is tasty. Love the atmosphere and comfy chairs at the bar. Will be back again soon!

Stefanie S.

Yelp
Great food and craft cocktails. The service is also first rate. Nice ambience as well. Great date apot.

Yelp
Came here for dinner last night, had a couple from out of town and wanted them to have a great meal in Wilmington. The food was fantastic and our waiter was knowledgeable and professional. Always enjoy coming here. Recommend making a reservation since the place was full.

Yelp
Eclipse is a gem located in Wilmington, DE. The staff and service was amazing. I visited on Valentine's evening. It seemed a little crowded even though we had reservations. The food was amazing and the presentations were creative!
google avatar

Lilly B.

Yelp
I had the pleasuring of dining here on Valentine's Day! I will stay it was a bit stuffy and spacing was a slight concern but everything else was amazing! The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. The calamari was dressed with a delicious sauce. The entrees were creative and flavorful! Went spent evening!

Eric M.

Yelp
Always reliable food and drink. Excellent service in a cozy spot with plenty of nearby parking.

Sam R.

Yelp
Such an great dining experience at Eclipse. Went for my birthday and have nothing but great things to say. To start our server, Nicolas, gave us exceptional service... honestly the best service I've had. He made great recommendations and gave us complimentary lemon cello and their monthly cello for desert along with delicious biscotti. He was attentive without being overbearing and came over to our table with a purpose making it a relaxing and easygoing experience. I am a former server of 8 years so appreciate the exceptional service and experience. The food was also excellent. We got 2 orders of the scallops, the pappardelle, and newly added mahi. All were delicious! The appetizers, beef kabobs and poke were also delicious. Overall, nothing but great things to say. We will be returning! First time dining here and won't be our last!

R K.

Yelp
Great ambiance and service. Visited with a friend early in a Friday evening and found the appetizers were different and tasty, especially the breaded asparagus. Enjoyed the mock cocktails and the lava cake dessert. Very good. Will definitely come again when in town.

Tabitha P.

Yelp
Tip: make a reservation My friend and I went here on a Saturday night to celebrate my birthday. We didn't have a reservation so to sit inside we would have had to wait an hour. Fortunately the weather was warm and we were seated outside right away. We split the calamari (yum). I tried the Bowrider cocktail and it was delicious (not overly sweet) and the tarragon was refreshing. I also had the scallops on cheese grits with andouille sausage which was perfect! Would definitely come back again.
google avatar

Marissa B.

Yelp
Went here for an anniversary dinner and it was perfect! The ambience is great for a date night or fancy outing. It has low lighting and unique decor. The food was amazing! I recommend the Brussel sprout appetizer to start. We had the ribs for dinner and they were amazing. You get half a rack but the flavors are full with a maple cornbread crumble. The cocktails are a fair price for the pours you get. The blanco cosmo was delicious! Service was amazing! Nick provided a fine dining experience. They have outdoor seating options!
google avatar

Nicole Q.

Yelp
We had a birthday lunch here and the food and service were both excellent. Bottles of wine were 50% off. They gave the birthday girl a card signed by the entire restaurant team... so very thoughtful!
google avatar

Emily B.

Yelp
Service was decent and prompt but not overbearing. Meat and cheese platter to share was very good. Cocktails also good. I had the pork Milanese and it was disappointing, especially for the price. Pork was under salted and the sautéed tomatoes on it were over salted. The dish could've really benefitted from a starchy side also. I would give this restaurant another chance but be cautious about what I ordered.
