This place is a treasure! The owners source the cacao directly from their farm in Ecuador, so they're not paying middlemen and they're getting the cacao fresh. Their shop explains the cacao making process and gives visitors a chance to see the chocolate maker at work. The bonbons are delicious - so far, the cognac is my favorite; it's boozy without being overwhelming - and the cacao is floral and smooth. The factory is off the beaten path, but worth a trip!

Google
This was such a fun hidden gem in Cedar Park!! I wouldn't have guessed tucked away in the corner was an actual chocolate roastery and store/tasting gallery! I had a wonderful time despite not speaking the language. It's truly family run!! It was so lovely to try chocolate and buy some authentic Ecuadorian chocolates for friends and chocolate lovers. It smells absolutely amazing inside. The chocolate covered banana slices were the bees knees!!

Google
Wow what a place! This is definitely a place to check out for any one who likes chocolate. Good selection to choose from. Fairly priced. Clean and well maintained. Friendly and professional staff. I am not aware of they have any other store but they should definitely expand!

Google
What a hidden gem!!! I accidentally found this place and it ended up being our favorite experience of the trip! The owner was SO sweet and humble. He gave us a personal tour and told us all about how chocolate is made. You could feel his passion! We loved it so much that we bought a bit of everything they offered. We must support places like this to keep them going. I can’t wait to go back! The chocolate was so pure and absolutely delicious!!

Google
This chocolate boutique is a little taste of paradise. The owners harvest their own Cacao from their farm in Ecuador and roast and produce their chocolate here on site. Walk in and see how the chocolate is made from bean to bar. Added treat, the owners are on site and are engaging and educate you on the process with a pride and passion for their product rarely seen these days. Exquisite chocolate, beautiful story and amazing family! We'll be back!

Google
Lovely little chocolate shop that makes their product in house and with real cacao! The truffles were great and I highly recommend trying some of the chocolate bark with fruit in it as well.

Google
The best chocolate in Austin and perfect for Valentine's Day! I ordered chocolate covered strawberries, bonbons, and chocolate covered fruit for Valentine's day. I placed my order on Friday morning and even though it was freezing outside, Carlos delivered it to our house promptly on Friday evening. All of the chocolate was INCREDIBLE!! And the chocolate covered strawberries are the most beautiful strawberries I have ever seen. Carlos was incredibly kind and I will definitely be visiting the shop in person/ordering chocolate more often. Thank you so much :)

Google
The staff are very welcoming and sweet. They offered samples of their truffles and some of their chocolate bars. I highly recommend the coconut and mint truffles! They’re refreshing and not overbearingly sweet.

Yelp
Found this place by accident. Decided to go in and see what Ecuadorian chocolate was like. The are quite a few selections available. There are chocolate bars with 50% all the way to 100% cacao. They offer samples for each to try, and they were good. There are also truffles. Purchased the coffee, coconut, mint, and liquor truffles. All the truffles were very delicious. Did not get any of the bars, but will on the next visit. The staff was friendly and they appear to be a fully family run business.

Yelp
The chocolate is amazing, the owner kind and passionate, and the prices are great. The store is not flashy but is clean and makes it very easy to sample and find their fine chocolates. I will enjoy coming back.

Yelp
The reviews led me to believe we would get to see chocolate-making in action. Perhaps we just got unlucky with the timing of our visit. The moment we entered in through the door, the girl employee urged us to the back where the shop was, past all the interesting machinery... We did enjoy sampling each step up of cacao: 55%, 70%, 85%, and 100%! These were available as bars for a very reasonable $6/ea. They were also selling a number of interesting chocolate barks with unique mix-ins of fruit and/or nuts for around the same price, and little baggies of chocolate-dipped kiwi/mango/pineapple/ginger for about $3 apiece. The kiwi and ginger were great, so I can only imagine the other two were as well! They also sold hot chocolate powder and hot cocoa bombs. And they had individual chocolates (a lot like See's). Not sure if their stock rotates or changes based on seasonality. Anyway, delicious chocolate! It looks like they are set-up so they could do "tours" of their small facility, including a large screen display probably for videos? Would've been neat to get to see more of the process considering we drove about 45 minutes to get there. Ah well.

Yelp
The best chocolate I've ever tasted--this place ought to be famous. The flavor and texture are perfect. Their chocolate tastes alive--it makes me think of fruit, but it's chocolate. Their bark is lovely. The truffles are the best I've had. It's a perfect bite, although I think the chocolate holds precedence over the other flavors. I used their 100% chocolate for a cake, and it was incredible. Try this alongside Ghirardelli and have your mind blown on how chocolate can be. In addition--I haven't spoken much to the actual family/owners, but I've been a few times over the past few years and they've always been there running the store.

Yelp
What a treasure right here in Cedar Park! The most amazing chocolate ever and so fresh. The owners are so nice and passionate about their products . The heavenly smell is unlike any other candy shop . So , so yummy , and everything here would make a great gift for the chocolate lovers in your life.

Yana R.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing chocolate. This place gave me my first taste of freshly made chocolate and ruined me to all other chocolate. Have to admit, I did not taste all the choices as I found my favorite rather fast. It's a small, family owned business, and you can see and feel their passion and love for chocolate when you walk in.

Yelp
This is gem in Cedar Park!!! The most delicious chocolate! Fruit truffles made on site in an artisan process. I enjoyed seeing the process described and the equipment in display. The owner gave us a detailed explanation of the process. The climax was trying the chocolate! Fantastic and delicious! If you like chocolate this is a must!!! I would give 6 starts if I could!!!

Yelp
I went here for desert for my wife and were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the chocolates. The chocolates themselves were top-notch. You will probably not find better locally made chocolates than here. It is clearly a family owned establishment and they were very helpful in selecting what we might like. They were also super friendly.

Yelp
very impressed by the quality and smoothness of this chocolate. I recommend the 90% keto chocolate, it was not bitter like most less dark chocolates.
google avatar

Yelp
Great service and chocolate! Highly suggest stopping in - they also deliver up to 5 miles, per their website!
google avatar

Yelp
Wonderful chocolate and very kind owners! I definitely recommend a visit! You can sample each type of chocolate. Will be back for more!

Yelp
A great (and delicious) example of how a business can enrich the offerings of a neighborhood! The Ecuadorian Chocolate Factory (ECF from here on) is a just-opened chocolatier specializing in chocolate produced from Ecuadorian beans. Upon arriving there today, we formed an impromptu 'tour group' where a gentleman explained (more in Spanish than English) how the chocolate processing system worked. This ended with a softly lit gift shop where you could purchase chocolate bars in 55%, 70%, 85%, and 100% chocolate levels. Extra kudos in allowing customers to sample each increment; more chocolate places need to do that! The 55% is relatively sweet, the 70% similar to a semi-sweet chocolate chip, and the 100% is bitter the way baking chocolate should be. All have a slightly more 'fruity' taste to me than your mass-produced chocolate, and they're tempered beautifully. This is sharp-looking as well as delicious chocolate. Definite recommend to check out when you're in this part of Austin! As of now (January 2019) they only sell these bars. They'll be offering lower-fat versions as well as different types of product (chips et al) in the future.

Yelp
A sweet, little chocolate shop manned by even sweeter people. My husband wanted to get me chocolates and a tour of how chocolates are made as his anniversary gift, which was easily one of my favorite gifts BY FAR. I am enamored with chocolates and I will absolutely eat a ginormous helping every single day if I lived within walking distance to this shop. I have a preference for Swiss and Belgian chocolates and these were definitely up to par, if not slightly better. This is the closest you'll ever get to farm-to-table freshness in chocolates, and you can taste the freshness in every bite!! I can tell how passionate the owner is about his craft and if you are in the area with a hankering for high-quality chocolatey goodness, do yourself a favor and drive straight to Ecuadorian Chocolate Factory. I can guarantee that your palate will be delighted and grateful.

Yelp
10 minutes ago, this box was was full. That's all you need to know. Very friendly. Hidden gem. Worth fighting the construction to get to.

R S.

Yelp
Amazing selection, all organic, family owned business, excellent quality, made in Cedar Park - what more could one ask for?

Chuck L.

Yelp
Was right after Valentines Day so they were restocking after being heavily shopped. Staff was SUPER helpful and even had samples for us to try. Looks like they actually make everything from scratch there. Really cool variety of chocolate goods & everything we had was yummy!! Highly recommend this locally owned business.
google avatar

Yelp
What a great family owned shop! Ducked in to buy Christmas stocking goodies. The samples were delicious, and my husband was happy on Christmas Day. 10 out of 10, would recommend.

Yelp
Another score for the Yelp App. When I did a search on Candy Stores in the CP I figured it would return the usual suspects from the Lakeline Mall. To my surprise, the Ecuadorian Chocolate Factory was displayed. This family-owned business is tucked away in strip mall hell just off of Bell Blvd. Shockingly there is a Nail Salon, Tex Mex and Asian, restaurant adjacent. Carlos, the proprietor, is friendly and passionate about his candy. Talk about owning the supply chain he has his own cacao farm in Ecuador. I've tasted a lot of chocolate from LATAM and this by far is the best. Carlos walked us through the candy-making process and graciously provided samples based on our preferences. We settled on his 85% dark chocolate bar. This is our sweet spot and anything less is too sweet and when we get up to the 100% the bitterness takes over. Carlos is much more comfortable conversing in Spanish so if you are bilingual or have an accomplice that is bilingual, lucky me, you will receive much more Info. Great people & fabulous chocolate. Support this locally owned family business!

Yelp
Holy shit, this chocolate is fantastic! The owners are originally from Ecuador and own their own cacao farm there still. The chocolate they make here at low temperature so as not to lose as much of the antioxidants and minerals that can be found in cacao naturally. But, better than that, it tastes really good. I've bought all percentages of their chocolate from 55% to 100% cacao. The 100% is some of the smoothest, least bitter that I've ever had and was a great ingredients to use for a ganache I was making from scratch. One heads up, when you walk in, you'll see their chocolate making operation but you may be wondering, where's the chocolate for sale? Keep walking towards the back and make a right and you'll be in a room filled with chocolate bars and little jars for samples. The owners told us they are also working on bon bons using fruits/jams from a local provider in nearby Guatamala. I love supporting a small local shop and it's easy when the product they make is so damn good. Give them a try, you won't regret it.

Lidia M.

Yelp
This place is AMAZING. I've passed it a million times- never went in. I finally bit the bullet and went in and was pleasantly surprised to find every step of the chocolate making process displayed th r minute you went in. The store in the back is full of samplers and delicious treats. For being handmade and a small business, the prices are INCREDIBLY reasonable. I can't say enough wonderful things about the goods and the service! This shop is a must see in Cedar Park!
google avatar

James J.

Yelp
If you like chocolate, you should already know about this place. Family owned farm and storefront, awesome chocolate, awesome people. Please stop by!

Yelp
This business is a rising giant! Very humble and honest family shop. It's a chocolate explosion of delicacies! There is no doubt that they will gain popularity with their uniquely "farmed" cacao beans right from the Ecuadorian mountains! The family's passion & decades of dedication for the production of high quality chocolate products is what sets them apart. It's definitely at the top of some of the best chocolates I have tasted. Look out for this Cedar Park Texas hidden gem!

Brandie H.

Yelp
Lots of amazing chocolate options and very friendly service! Love this little shop of sweetness!
google avatar

Ariel T.

Yelp
My family and I had a wonderful experience at the Ecuadorian Chocolate Factory! We highly recommend this place as a must see when in Austin. It is a hidden gem in the area. The tour was wonderful. We loved getting to taste different types of chocolate and learning how the chocolate is made. Even during COVID-19, the owners did a great job keeping the shop clean and safe. We truly had a fun experience here. Best quality cacao we have tasted!
google avatar

Matt L.

Yelp
I love everything about this place! It's clear that there is a lot of passion and expertise put into their chocolates. Everyone has been so friendly each time we've been. We ordered some chocolates with free delivery once, and the owner (I think) showed up promptly at our door with them! I hope this place is around forever.
google avatar

Marcela L.

Yelp
Lovely chocolate place. The owner is so nice and the chocolate is amazing lots of flavors and sweetness levels.
google avatar

Rustin W.

Yelp
My two daughters and I happened by this place after lunch today. The owner Carlos gave us a little tour, and let us sample pretty much everything. We started at 55% Cacau bars and stepped up incrementally to 100%. I'm not usually a fan of dark chocolate, but the quality of the chocolate was incredible. After the bars, we moved on to the bon bons. I highly recommend the strawberry and coffee. The kids really enjoyed it, and it was a good lesson for them about savoring a small treat vs shoving a handful of m&ms into their heads. If you do wine tastings, stop by here first. Also, Take your family here. It's a great experience, and you'll get to meet Carlos, who is very cool.
google avatar

Courtney P.

Yelp
This place is so cool and we were lucky enough to get tour of the process of turning cocoa beans into the final product- Carlos was awesome and very friendly and probably the best chocolate around!
google avatar

Lonnie C.

Yelp
Awesome owners and chocolate. Wife and I were given an explanation of the production process on our first visit. I am on a low carb food plan so I go here from the Lampasas area to get the Keto chocolate.
google avatar

Debbie M.

Yelp
Excellent chocolate and truffles! Bought a little gift box of truffles for a friend and the cacao nibs for myself. Friendly staff and delicious, quality product!

Patrick H.

Yelp
Amazing people running this quaint Ecuadorian Chocolate shop. The chocolate tastes amazing and I recommend people to come try. The owner gave me the entire explanation of the production process from their family owned plantation in Ecuador to their small on site production. Everyone was wearing masks and everything was very sterile and safe!
google avatar

Rhonda M.

Yelp
Wow! Not only is Carlos's passion for chocolate apparent in his awesome personality, but his chocolate is delicious. The chocolate bars are smooth and the bon bon's were perfection. His bon bon recipe was developed with the help of a French chocolatier with 40 years experience and it definitely shows. Definitely go visit your local chocolate shop, you're not only supporting a wonderful family, but you get to taste amazing chocolate as well.
google avatar

Todd D.

Yelp
Homemade chocolate in Cedar Park? Who knew? They had varieties of pure cacao chocolate bars to those blended with various amounts of sweeteners. No/ low sugar versions likely to be added soon. The best part is homemade chocolate bars without the unpronounceable ingredients found in the checkout lanes. We took the tour and learned a little about chocolate's origins, too. The process starts with raw cacao and through the various stations it is transformed into chocolate candy bars. Well, I guess it really starts in Ecuador where the owners grow the cacao.. If you enjoy dark chocolate, or for a unique way to spend some time in Cedar Park...this is the place.
google avatar

Heather B.

Yelp
The chocolate here is amazing!! Carlos is a sweet, humble man that loves what he does and it shows. When we walked in he was making chocolate and offered us samples. We wanted to buy some chocolate to pair with our wine and we left with several bars. If you are looking for great chocolate, this is your spot!
google avatar

Renata E.

Yelp
I haven't ordered for take out yet, but just wanted to say that I went to the store right before the pandemic hit and was delighted by the flavor and quality of the chocolate. Carlos showed us around, we sampled a few different varieties, and we bought the 85% and 90% bars and they were amazing! It's so cool to buy straight from the source, he sources the beans from Ecuador and makes it in the workshop/store in Cedar Park using only good and essential organic ingredients and not much else. It's so worth it to stop by and try their chocolate, and feels good to support local business.

Elena P.

Yelp
Wow their chocolate is amazing. You can taste that it comes straight from the family farm. The 100% cacao actually tasted good and it's healthy to eat a piece a day for antioxidants (no sugar). Also like the bon bons they had for sale. This is the most lovely family and they will give you a tour of their process in store.
google avatar

Christie G.

Yelp
Wow. This Ecuadorian chocolate shop is 100% authentic. The owner greeted us within seconds of walking in the door and gave us a tour of the whole chocolate making process. He said what each of the machines does, and you can see him actually making chocolate behind the glass. He is from Ecuador and the coffee beans and the cocoa beans are all from Ecuador. It is a must visit place for Leander.
google avatar

Tania T.

Yelp
It is always refreshing to see independent own businesses like this one where owner Carlos is very involved with every single detail of the making and selling of its chocolates, he gives each of his customers a detailed explanation of the making process. If you're looking for more than just your regular chocolate bar this is the place to go.
google avatar

Antonio L.

Yelp
If you want something different and amazing, with authentic ingredients straight from Ecuador this is the place. Carlos is amazingly sweet guy, I love this place! I visited Ecuador and it brought me back to the great taste that country has.
google avatar

Bink T.

Yelp
This is a great place to take your kids. The owners are enthusiastic and eager to share their chocolate story with the world. Neat to see the metal machines bubbling with chocolatey goodness! Samples are plentiful. I found that the heavy cardstock they use to package the chocolate makes it easy to reseal. No pressure to eat a giant bar in one sitting. Delicious!

Scott S.

Yelp
Excellent quality flavor and texture you can taste especially if you let it melt in your mouth and not chew it. Staff super friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

Billie L.

Yelp
Amazing. The owners, Carlos and Isabella are great people. We did the chocolate tour/tasting, learned about their plantation, chocolate making, and country. It was a special evening. And their chocolate is delicious. Highly recommend.

Keith S.

Yelp
I can't add anything that the other reviewers haven't except that I love this place. Carlos and Isabel are so nice, and their chocolate is delicious. If you eat chocolate anyway, why not support a local business? They use no preservatives. And their family in Ecuador supplies the beans from their farm. A real gem for Cedar Park! I hope they get little more decor on the walls. Otherwise, this place is a home run!
google avatar

Letta M.

Yelp
My daughter and daughter-in-law visited your shop in August and bought me several of your bars of chocolate. I was so amazed to have such great chocolates so close. I am 94 years old and live in Salado, Texas and have been working with chocolate for years. Also hold a Death by Chocolate Contest in September at our Library for the past 9 years. I have given chocolate workshops to inform people of how to work with chocolate. I shop on line for slabs of chocolate but would rather shop closer to home. One day would love to visit your shop.
google avatar

Susan T.

Yelp
Excellent chocolate. Probably the best I've ever had and I've had a lot of chocolate. You walk in and you see the owner personally handcrafting chocolate, and there are different truffles to choose from as well as chocolate bars. This is the only place I'll be buying from now on, and I get to support a family-owned local business as well. Smoooth flavor, especially like the 55% cocoa bar!!!
google avatar

Giselle C.

Yelp
I just want to eat all of their passion fruit truffles. They are so amazing. The lady I talked to today was so sweet and very friendly! I want to go back and go buy some more chocolate bars to make chocolate cakes and brownies.

Helen D.

Yelp
I probably can't add much to the great reviews this place already has except they are all well deserved. I will say, I am a big health nut and this ca'cao is actually healthy for you and one of the few carbohydrates I don't feel guilty eating. I always have a 90% keto bar in my desk drawer and alternate with the 100% bar when I'm feeling guilty about eating any sugar at all. Because it is so rich and filling, one bar lasts me several days. Even so, I am a regular bi-weekly customer who occasionally indulges in their other offerings and also buys their bars for my non-healthy friends who need to be healthier (hope they aren't reading this right now).
google avatar

Natalie C.

Yelp
This shop was a delightful surprise! It was so neat to see the chocolate factory, and they have a great little show room. Carlos and his wife were SO kind and informative about all of the process and their expertise. And of course - the chocolate is AMAZING. Don't let this gem slip by you! If you want high quality, locally made chocolate.... this is the only place you should look!!
google avatar

Blake S.

Yelp
Awesome chocolates that we ended up with, and the service, I think the girls name was Tiana, she was super helpful, and she got us to try a few that we loved
google avatar

Tania W.

Yelp
Great quality chocolate! Family run business and they are always expanding what they offer!
