"In Madison Heights is Edamame Sushi, a stronghold of Japanese and Filipino comfort food. Edamame Sushi offers adobo, sisig, bangus (milkfish) and other main courses, as well as breakfasts like tosilog. If you want to satiate your sweet tooth, try the turon (banana lumpia)." - Eleanore Catolico

"Many Asian and Filipino dishes are well represented at this Madison Heights restaurant, but regulars keep returning to this John R Road spot for the ramen. The basic bowl of ramen features with a choice of shoyu, miso, tonkatsu, or mushroom broth with noodles, egg, sliced pork, and various veggies. However, there’s also a seafood-filled Super Ramen option with tonkatsu broth, fishballs, shrimp, scallops, and corn. Customers who aren’t dining in can choose from two styles of ramen for delivery via Uber Eats." - Eater Staff, Dorothy Hernandez

Google
This is the first time I've tried Edamame Sushi, and I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered a miso soup and The Javar Sushi roll. The miso soup was rich and delicious. The tofu was soft and seasoned. It was very comforting. I expected the roll to be fried, crunchy, and a bit heavy, but it was none of these things. It was warm, soft, and so delicious. It was lightly deep-fried, so it didn't hurt my stomach or feel heavy while eating it. It said it was spicy on the menu, but I don't eat spice, and I thought it just had a tiny kick. It was super enjoyable. Definitely will come back!

Google
0 stars if I could. I should have walked out once I saw that the place was empty. My boyfriend and I spent $70 on crispy spicy salmon, and crispy spicy tuna rolls for take out. It was so bland I had to make a spicy Mayo so we could eat it. And as we're eating we found hair and pieces of paper from some packaging in our sushi. Definitely regret giving this place a try.

Google
Picked up a takeout order. The guy working was really friendly, greeted me immediately. Tons of vegetarian options. The food wasn't super flavorful and a little on the expensive side for what it was. $30 for three vegetarian options in picture. Still very good selection and service.

Google
It's Saturday night, where is everyone?? Fabulous table service, great fresh sushi, fabulous edamame, and delicious Ramen. Lots of options in MH, so they have to be good! A jewel of the Heights. 💖 I'm a repeat customer, my favorite roll is "Mike This 1 for U"

Google
Rolls were beautiful and delicious. This was my first time adding Eel to the mix and was not disappointed! Typically I really like only one or two rolls, but all five were honestly great. Service was very friendly and prompt. Highly recommend!

Google
Edamame Sushi is now my favorite sushi in the area. I loved it so much that I went back there again in a matter of 10 days! Each visit, five rolls were ordered. Their sushi was perfectly rolled, the rice was sticky and held its form, and it was a hearty and filling meal. My order (day 1): - Godzilla - Texas Roll - Las Vegas Roll - Dragon - Big Joe My order (day 10): - Futomaki - Great White Shark Caramelized - TNT - Rock n’ Roll - Rainbow All 10 rolls hit the spot. From each order, the one that I most enjoyed above the rest, the Dragon and the Futomaki. The Dragon was my number one of all 10. Just the thought of a shrimp tempura with avocado and eel sauce is making me want to order it again and again. I wonder what my day 20 order will look like... Edamame Sushi is a sushi restaurant that I would continue to go back to. I recommend Edamame Sushi!

Google
Food was fresh and very yummy. Meredith took good care of my friend and I. Will definitely be back❤️ Thank you for the great dinner. Had the Firecracker sushi and LOVED it! Also had the pork gyoza and I enjoyed that as well.

Google
Got the curry noodles with tofu (spicy), veggie rolls, and sweet tofu tempura. The sauces on the veggie rolls were amazing, but the star was the curry noodles. Great flavor, spicy, and tofu was seared well.

Yelp
I stopped in to enjoy some sushi and food without my kiddos and Edamame did not disappoint. Everything tasted pretty fresh, and had great flavor. My singular star removal was only that my white fish on the Rainbow roll was definitely out of date and needed to be replaced, but honestly that just happens sometimes, so no big deal. Our waiter was super-attentive and super helpful. They were busy with only a few people at other tables and the ambiance was so nice and relaxing to sit beside the setting sun.

Yelp
Went to grab dinner tonight, all new staff and workers. Hmm. Sat at a half booth. No water after being seated with menus. We sat and watched one guy run around to other tables to bring out their food and their bills. No water, no orders after 5-7 minutes. Service has gone down immensely. Used to always get good service here, but the last time they ran out of lobster meat for their ultimate lobster roll and now they just let you sit and wait around. I didn't have the patience to wait another minute, let alone another 10 minutes or so.

Tess S.

Yelp
Service was impeccable. The restaurant is unassuming, the end joint in a strip mall. I liked my dish, the curry noodles. I also had an inari which was tasty (tofu skin stuffed with rice). However, my husband said his beef was extremely overdone and his tempura cheesecake was still frozen in the middle. So I'm docking a star. I want to come back and try their bento box!

Yelp
Service was great! We stopped in with our two kiddos after a after school activity. Food was good. My littlest loved the chicken fried rice and my eldest loved the avocado sushi. The waitress was so polite about us having two munchkins with us, even taking down the Maneki-neko from high up on the counter so that my son could play with it. The place was quiet and cute and comfortable and family-friendly! We will

Yelp
#yum Got to grab dinner with my big brother the other night... At one of my favorite places to get #filipinofood @edamamesushi_nuasiankitchen in #MadisonHeights. They have #Filipino #Japanese #Korean #chinese and #Thai food. And all of it is good! Love their #lechonkewali, #pancit, #turon, #ramen, #sushi, #mami #halohalo etc!! They have bubble tea too! They're also on #ubereats - and they're always fast! Highly recommend this place!!! Been coming here and ordering delivery regularly.

Yelp
We've been going here for years, it's pretty close & convenient. They do a great job with a varied Asian fusion menu & service is always great. Small but cozy. Oddly, on a recent visit, they had no alcohol service/license, with no explanation, just an apology & offer of soda. Violation? Change in ownership? Menu hadn't changed at all. What's up, Edamame?

Veena F.

Yelp
Ordered gyoza & big Joe sushi. Wonderful! Will be going back. I took it go. Service was prompt & courteous.

Ronald C.

Yelp
Taste is really strange and haven't tried this quality ever. First and last time here. Thank you.

Yelp
Went here once - the Filipino food is the absolute worst I've ever had. The mami and tocino were both so bland - I make better Filipino food at home than this! It wasn't worth the $50 we paid for this. We won't be back here again.

Michelle D.

Yelp
I would say the menu is more fusion--rolls with cream cheese and deep-fried and fillings that are not typical or traditional Japanese but don't sleep on it! They come in pretty good portions and the taste is really good! They have vegetarian options too! The ambiance was pretty nice, it was quiet, simple, and clean. Staffs are very friendly and the service was swift. There were so many options, but I finally decided on salmon-roll, yummy roll, and Black Widow roll. And wow! I really enjoyed dinner! The salmon roll was good fish: rice ratio, the fish was fresh, and the sushi rice was well-seasoned. The yummy roll is a deep-fried roll stuffed with fish, Tamago (egg), cucumber, topped with sauce. It indeed was yummy. Despite being deep-fried, it still feels light and tasty. The black widow roll is stuffed with soft shell crab and topped with eel sauce. If you're not a huge fan of raw stuff, this will definitely be a good choice! The price is reasonable and I think overall it was delicious!

Yelp
We've had multiple different sushi spots in royal oak and Madison heights, and Edamame has never let us down. Far and away the most solid option, with creative and tasty specials!

Yelp
This place is trash. First and last experience. Trusted the glowing reviews and instantly regretted it. Ordered The Volcano, a Philadelphia roll and a Rock & Roll. The vegetables in The Volcano were burned beyond recognition. See if you can decipher even one in the photo attached. They were inedible so I could only eat the shrimp and there were just three of those. I guess the chef thought I wouldn't notice if he poured enough sauce. Then, onto the rolls. They boxed my rolls together although one was hot and the other cold. The Philadelphia was good but it's kinda hard to mess that up. The Rock and Roll left much to be desired. Not to mention I found a hair halfway through so I didn't finish. Get your money's worth by going elsewhere.

Yelp
No words to describe:) super Nice hospitality. When we walked in we we're welcome like a king . They made us feel so special . Ordered vegetarian sushi and got them less then 5 mins and was super delicious. They offered us vegetarian chow min which was not in the menu. Chow min was So yummy. Manager and all staff were so friendly and explained about all food we ate . I will definitely come back here . Please try this place while I. Detroit. Thank you all staff for everything.

Yelp
I kinda really love Edamame. I keep trying other sushi places but my heart is here. The sushi we got here was out of this world good compared to the other places. You can see in the pictures. Idk what made it so good but it just was. Even with them having ramen which I couldn't finish there but did finish while watching my shows later that night. The sushi can we stop and have a moment of silence because I smashed it. I was hungry and you know that when you are hungry everything is good. The extra mile they go was not unnoticed. I will say, I get h(ANGRY) very fast like in minutes. I was annoyed it took so long to get food but in the end I was ready to curl up and go to sleep because I was so full of warm deliciousness. Ramen was good but for sure didn't touch the sushi we got. I do love ramen and it was good that we barely made it home before I had to get into it again. Beyond a doubt I glad I live further away because I would be in there multiple times a day! No need to even ask, I'd go broke on this place and I'd do it willingly.

Yelp
Love this place for its version of Filipino food, specifically the Sinigang, oh my goodness is it sour. Not the traditional home cooked sinigang I'm used to but it sure will do in a pinch. Great service and friendly staff. Love this place! Hope everyone will keep supporting this place .

Joelle C.

Yelp
This food is so bad. I ordered Japanese food and it was the worst I've had. The service was bad. The soup in the noodles is sour and doesnt even taste like food.

Yelp
Many years ago, I tried this place and I didn't like it. I only had their sushi but I didn't like it. So I avoided it for many many years. Now this is my second time coming here now. We just got take out and only got sushi. I decided to try this place again because I heard they have gotten better and Filipino food now. Though I really wanted to try the Filipino food, I figured it was more appropriate if I dined in for that. I'm going to be talking about the sushi specifically. Nothing else really. Im going to begin saying that the menu is overwhelming. The menu provides great variety. They also have a chalkboard menu which are specials and new stuff, also it has Filipino food they served listed on that. When it came to the sushi, I did not know what to get! So many rolls which the special rolls seemed similar with ingredients but different at the same time. So I was very indecisive. I finally decided what to get. We ate it at home. We may have over ordered oopsies. We were just very intrigued and wanted everything! So we got too much for our bellies to handle. They were overall decent. Still didn't really impress me. First off, a little too much rice. Maybe decrease it about a third. But my friend who has come here multiple times said it probably depends who's making your sushi. I probably won't be getting sushi here as much. Maybe when I have weird cravings. Don't get the spicy scallop. I felt like it was more Pablo flakes than scallop. I couldn't even figure out what was scallop vs Panko! Not worth it here. I actually like the ebi nigiri. They fried the head nicely too. But overall, not a fan of the rolls for the most part. I do like how you can make your own roll!! Let's you experiment. Same with bento boxes too. I would come back to try their kitchen menu because That needs to happen. Service was awesome. They were patient and helpful. Great staff.

Yelp
I'm in love with this place! everything was delicious! the miso ramen has ab incredible depth of flavor with a comforting broth & great toppings, that & the gyoza appetizer were the best i've had in Michigan. the sushi was excellent i had the Texas roll it was spicy with chili tuna, jalapeño, masago & avocado also delicious! my boyfriend had the tuna roll and the curry noodle which he said was excellent oh and the honeydew boba i had was delightful & not too sweet ^_^ we shall return soon, until then. see you space cowboy....

Yelp
Called to let them know that food quality has gone down hill and did not want to post on yelp. I got hung up on and here I am. Ordered Tonkatsu Ramen, and received a soup that contained one flavor: Burnt. Like open the container, hit in the face with burnt food smell. Tried to sip some and it literally has no flavor, but burnt taste. Not tonkatsu that's been burnt, but like burnt water. How does this even happen? I travel for the Tokyo Ramen show, and have never in my life experienced ramen that is this unpalatable. I managed to eat my roll, I cannot remember the name, but it was supposed to have eel and spicy tuna. Somehow managed to end up with fish bones in the tiniest piece of tuna and eel imaginable. Basically, save yourself. They just dont care about food or their customers experience.

Lindsey P.

Yelp
I can't believe this is my first time coming to this amazing place. I am so in love with every roll on their menu and I will deff be back to try more and more. They have several special rolls as well as all the classics. The Cali supreme is one of their well known specials and it was absolutely delicious. They also have a spicy seaweed salad and it was very good. Prices are also very reasonable. I can't wait to come back and try more.

Sunil A.

Yelp
I have been here so many times, I can't believe I've never checked in here before or left a review. This is an oversight I intend to fix now. Came in for lunch and left so happy I could have kissed the cook. For me sushi people fall into two categories: saucy and dry. While I enjoy both, I definitely fall into the saucy category and this spot does it just as good as anyone. So the joy of today's visit was the great surprise I discovered in trying a new roll. I do have a tendency to get the same ones over and over and today I made it a point not to do that. So we ordered the Big Joe and the Hawaiian. The TNT was a tempura roll that came with a sweet sauce for dipping. I did find the texture of the tempura different than most places. It wasn't bad, just different. Not as crisp as I was used to. The filling was absolutely fantastic by every means though, so balanced and tasty. But the real prize of the visit was the Hawaiian. I can't praise this one enough. It might be the best roll I have ever eaten in my entire life. The balance of sweet and savory, the flavors that filled my mouth. I would have filled up on six of these if I knew it was going to as good as it was. Go here now, today, immediately and order this. You can send me thank you notes later.

Zach B.

Yelp
The food is always great and the service is fantastic too. I have made this my usual sushi place! I have gotten carry out and brought my best friend with me a couple times. The server is really great and very friendly!

Aaron B.

Yelp
I wish I had reviewed this place years ago when I originally found it, then I would have given 4 stars easy. Now, there are new owners, and they've changed things. To an extent that might make sense, but in my opinion a lot of their food previously tasted really good, and now so far I've tried two dishes that taste worse. The broth on the ramen has changed, it's not as rich and deeply flavorful as before. Yesterday I got the combo fried rice which I love, and sure enough, something changed again, it seems with whatever liquid/sauce the rice was fried in. Again, same problem, not as rich and tasty as the original. This was more bland and as if they really skimped on the seasoning/oil/whatever it is that MADE it taste so good. I'm hesitant to come back to try for a third time. Did they ruin the Volcano? The Hawaiian noodles? Who knows?

Hoda A.

Yelp
I came here before they were about to close by like 45 minutes. I got the seafood noodles, something along that. It was okay, a bit bland for me but I think it was still fine. The noodles were just a bit soggy. Their sushi is good though. Service here is excellent, so maybe I'll try them out again sometime and come back with an updated review.

Jassmine N.

Yelp
Welcoming and friendly staff, however the food was not satisfying. I came in for lunch and was grateful to see the establishment was fairly empty with only three other patrons seated. I order a Bento box with a California roll, veggie tempura, and chicken teriyaki with a green tea. The presentation was wonderful. The bento box came with miso soup and white rice. I couldn't wait to dig in. I ate my tempura veggies first. Definitely delicious. How can you mess up veggie tempura? Next I started on my sushi. From the presentation, the rolls looked tasty. However, after eating the first roll, I noticed a fishy (I know, it's fish and you should taste it) taste. This taste was more of a aftertaste and profound. I can't say it was bad, but it was different. The chicken was rubbery and had no taste to it. I didn't eat that at all. Overall, I enjoyed and gotten full off of the miso soup, veggie tempura, and green tea. Next time, I'll keep it simple.

Yelp
As a long time customer the food and service at Edamame has really gone down hill. Early Friday evening the restaurant had approximately 6-tables and there were two servers working which seemed like plenty since the place wasn't busy. The first server took the drink order but then never brought over the drinks. I had to ask a second server for the drinks we ordered 10 mins ago. My husband had the Broccoli Noodles and said it was terrible. I ordered the Udon/Soba which used to cost $7.50 and is now $9.95. The dish typically comes with house special noodles, soup, seaweed, tempura crumbs, scallion and shrimp tempura topped with roasted seaweed. I received a bowl half filled of lukewarm broth w/noodles and a sprinkle of seaweed. There was no tempura crumbs, scallions or roasted seaweed. It was the most pitiful bowl of udon I've ever seen and for the whopping price of $9.95. I've ordered this dish in the past and it was hearty and served with all of the ingredients. Disappointed with the entree I mentioned it to the server who had the manager remove it from the bill. It was a nice gesture but I would rather of had a delicious meal like how it used to be made. I've been to Edamame a few times in 2017 and it feels like they've given up on serving first rate Asain food. A few months ago I stopped by 5 to 10 mins before lunch hour closing and was refused service. I thought that was extremely poor service. Overall, the service at Edamame is lackadaisical and the food is mediocre. There are too many Asain food options nearby that are superior and at inexpensive prices than to settle for Edamame's underwhelming cuisine.

Nha V.

Yelp
Haven't been in here in a while, & decided to visit with my so. The food came out quickly, but thought it was just okay. Sushi was decent, we also got udon & it wasn't the usual udon, was just okay, and there was chicken foam left over on top which was unappetizing to me.

Nco Y.

Yelp
This place is a nice place. It is small but looks cozy inside. The shushi was good as it should be. The ramen was hot and the taste is ok. I will have to return and try another ramen bowl. The ramen I got was bland could use more flavoring. The fried noodle dish was bland as well. I would give this place more try's.

Marlon N.

Yelp
They are now open!!! Sisig and Crispy pata for the win!!! Sarap!!! Dont forget to tip

Alex D.

Yelp
Very nice sushi place! It was my first time and I loved it! To the point where I meant to take a picture of the food before eating but I totally forgot once the food arrived :) I had edamame and 3 sushi rolls and everything was delicious. I highly recommend the spicy California roll! Tasty and good price!

Amanda D.

Yelp
This place was just ok. Ordered takeout: a spicy tuna roll (the rice to tuna ratio was off, wish there had been bigger pieces of tuna inside, and too much rice). The Hawaiian roll was way too sweet for my taste. The Alaskan and Caterpillar rolls were pretty good (although I didn't actually order the Caterpillar roll, they messed up my take out order and I didn't catch it until I got home) Ramen was nothing to write home about and I wish they had rice paper spring rolls (they only offered fried rolls, which were too greasy for my taste).

Dipesh B.

Yelp
Gnarliest garlic fried rice. Yes I am aware that might not be a word but this is the one. Awesome service great quality food.

Amber V.

Yelp
I really didn't like the food here. The ramen noodles were over cooked, the tonkatsu ramen had one flavor to it, seaweed. The yakisoba noodles had a very off putting taste, similar to a cleanser you'd use on your counters. Didn't care to eat any of that. The egg in the ramen was extremely over cooked, had that grey green ring around the yolk, and tasted like the funky preboiled eggs you buy at the grocery store. And I was excited to see they had boba on the menu but you can't order them blended! No thanks. Don't care to return. Our waiter was very nice, but I hated the food.

Julie B.

Yelp
Service was great! Staff is friendly! It's a cute spot to eat. The specials board needs some work sooo much on it and in tiny print there is no way anyone could read it unless they were standing in front of the board. The only thing I was not happy with was that I ordered 2 rolls with eel and no where on the menu did it say there was eel sauce on the rolls. I'm gluten intolerant and I should not have soy sauce... One of the ingredients in eels sauce. I ate it anyway but it should say on the menu especially for people with allergies.

Sally G.

Yelp
My family have been regulars here for several years. We hadn't been in since August 2019 because my AMEX card had been improperly charged (I was not present when it was charged!) Craving our beloved local sushi joint, my son and I went for dinner tonight. Service was super slow. The usual waitstaff is no longer there. Appetizer came after the sushi. The super Harley roll was WAY spicier than it used to be. Prices appear to be about 10% higher too. Super disappointed that it is not the same local sushi joint it used to be. Probably won't be back.

Jacob Z.

Yelp
I would give this place a 0 but I can't. I ordered a shoyo and a tonkatsu absolutely horrible the broth (if you even want to call it that) was HORRIBLE!! My wife says it taste like burnt plastic. The fish balls was horrible it was all just very very bad!! If you want authentic RAMEN go to Urban Ramen!!

SL A.

Yelp
First time. Great service. I had the Diablo noodles with chicken and light spice. Which was actually a good amount of spice. Ask the staff in case you don't want it to hot. The name is a warning. But everything was good and fresh. I will return.

Yelp
I was so excited to find this place through Yelp. It has a 4 star review so I assumed this place must have good Asian food! The place is very cozy. I ordered Steamed Gyoza and Lumpia for appetizer which were good but kind of pricey for the size. You get 5 tiny pcs for each appetizer. Gyoza tasted fresh and I really liked it. The Lumpia was alright and it's sauce is not the typical sweet and sour you usually get (which was good by the way.) For the entree, I ordered Pancit Canton, Lechon Kawali and BBQ Fried Rice. The Pancit was overcooked and too salty for my palette and the BBQ pork on the fried rice tasted like Pork Asado(also salty.) I like salty food but these two were just too salty. Among the three entrees I ordered, the Lechon Kawali was my favorite. It was good and moist. It was served with jasmine white rice and dipping sauce (made of soy sauce and some spices). Drinks are kind of pricey, you pay $2.50 for each small Coke Can so be careful in ordering drinks if you don't want to pay $10 for 4 cans of soda. :) With how salty the food were, you'd definitely need a lot of soda. The owner/cook was nice and cheerful. There was only one waitress in the restaurant and she was nice as well. My overall rating would be 3 for food, service and price. Not sure how I'd recommend the place but this is the only Filipino Restaurant I know around the area. If you really want to try some Filipino food, this is the place to be I guess. I think it's best to order a take out here instead of dining in. I'm a little surprised of how little food you get for the price you pay at this place but I'm definitely coming back to try out their other stuff on the menu. I'm not giving up on this restaurant yet! ;)

Nikki F.

Yelp
Went to get pho, but the place was packed so we came here instead. We got there at 1:30 and I felt bad because I forgot that they close at 2pm, but the manager was still very courteous to us and always made sure we had everything we needed. I ordered the Shoyu ramen and a spicy tuna roll. Everything was delicious and the ramen really hit the spot for the gloomy day that it was! The sushi roll was small, but it was cheap.. Reminds me of Noble Fish rolls. I enjoyed the ramen from here because it wasn't too salty, like Johnny Noodle King's Shoyu, but still very flavorful and filling! Glad we stopped in!

Kristine G.

Yelp
I went here for the ramen and have gone back twice more in the past week. Haven't repeated an order yet, everything I've eaten is great so far and I'm looking forward to going back for more. I was delighted to find out that they serve most of the Filipino dishes that I've been missing. Sadly I forgot to take more photos when the food arrives, it's just so good that I forget about my phone and proceed to savor my meals! Clean inside, more people come in during the weekends so I like going here on weekdays after work. Price is fair and food is great!

K S.

Yelp
Overall, as long as you don't expect "real" ramen, then you'll do okay. You will be definitely disappointed if you have had a real authentic bowl of ramen before. I've tried few rolls and nigiri sushi too. They all had sweet taste (i.e. California roll was actually sweet. It's weird...) Issues list: -Ramen noodle should be boiled firm; no to be boiled to soggy soft texture -Soup should e piping hot. Not luke warm. -Should be on salty side... Not sweet! Miso ramen's soup actually tasted sweet! Tonkotsu and Shoyu were not bad, but no character, nothing addictive. -Harmony of noodle, soup and toppings were completely lacking. Pork was sweet, soup didn't have depth, egg was boiled too hard (and wasn't even cut) and no taste. Nori was buried in soup, few leafs of spinach were over cooked. Few sprinkles of green onion -Toppings should be visible and nicely presented. Not the case here. I was really hungry but Edamame chef should look at Ramen Noodle pictures at Google. On the positive side, salmon nigiri and tune nigiri were not too bad. Good size of fish and rice was just right (but they again added sugar to sushi rice). Service was pretty good too. I might return for some nigiri but I'll not be ordering noodle dishes here. Can someone open REAL RAMEN place please!! For now I have to drive to Chicago to get my ramen craving.

Yelp
This is a very small restaurant. If I had to guess, it holds 30 people. They have have tables and seating at the sushi bar. Not much seating for big groups. I thought they had a lot of options for sushi and the prices fair. I am not a fan of fish and seafood so I went with cucumber rolls. They were good. Now one might think you can't screw up a cucumber roll, but you can. They did not screw up though. The cucumber was fresh and had a crunch to it. The rice was nice and sticky. The rolls were put together tightly, so they did not fall apart. My husband had the California Roll and he said it was top notch. My main dish. I am unversed in Japanese so I had no clue what to have. Our waitress wasn't very well versed either, so I was lost. After much contemplating I went with the pan fried noodle dish. It was ok. The sauce was a little gelatinous so it grossed me out a little. I couldn't look passed it. It was clear like Knox gelatin and was quite garlicy. Not a fan of the dish at all. Not their fault though, I just got something that didn't fit my palette well! Next time I go, I'll get a better dish!

Yelp
I've visited Edamame several times and enjoyed each experience. It's a pretty standard sushi restaurant, but with more than simply sushi. I've only ever been when 1 or 2 waiters have been working, but they're able to handle their tables well and the food comes out pretty fast. The sushi is fresh and well made. We've also tried several of the soups - the house ramen and udon are both great. Heads up to vegans - ask what is in the sushi rolls before ordering because some of them have more fillings than what is in the name!

Yelp
This is a very nice place for a peaceful lunch, which I had there on a recent Saturday afternoon. I had the Yaki Udon with tofu, comforting and savory with vegetables. The tofu had an ideal consistency - a fine balance between soft and firm. My wife, a gluten-free diner, was able to select from multiple rice noodle dishes. Note that, per the menu, there are no substitutions (to keep cost down, it says). Though this bothered me reflexively at first, I later felt it a good thing not to have unlimited choice (especially when the choices are good). Also, note that the restaurant closes in the mid-afternoon - again, a little counter to the "anything, anywhere" American restaurant and, again, OK. Next time, I'll try to veggie sushi!

Yelp
What a great find! My fiancé and I were looking for some good ramen in the area and found this place on yelp. The interior is very cute and the menu has a lot of options. Firs there's the normal menu full of a million delicious options like fried rice, noodle dishes and ramen. Of course there's the sushi menu, they even have a section where you can make your own roll! They also have a board full of specials and combo options. We ordered the tofu and veggie ramen and the brisket and onion ramen. Both were absolutely delicious and I can highly recommend both. In my opinion, this is a great restaurant that has tons of options and I can't wait to come back!

Yelp
This is my favorite local sushi place. They have a decent size menu with a lot of variety. We got the gyoza and edamame which was delicious to share. You can create your own rolls which is fun to be creative. The server was really nice too! We will be back!

Yelp
I can usually just eat anything...even if something at a restaurant wasn't all that tasty but still edible I'd finish it. The food I ordered here was just plainly inedible...not that I was looking for authenticity with the Filipino cuisine but the sisig wasn't even close to what sisig is I don't know what it was...the pancit canton was salty nasty, adobo was tough sour browned meat. I don't even want to waste anymore of my time writing about this place. Not sure if it was an off night, but wow...I felt like I was being punk'd or something!!!

Yelp
I've been coming to Edamame since they first opened close to 10 years ago. The last few times I've gone, prices went up quite a bit and the food quality just didn't there anymore. I used to get the udon and Sushi combo quite a bit and the udon would always come with other ingredients besides just two pieces of shrimp tempura. It looked extremely sad with just broth, noodles, and two pieces of shrimp. The broth was so unbearably salty that I had to send it back. I really hope some changes get made because I would hate to not come back again.

Yelp
We were the first customers today and walking in from the snow storm outside, all I wanted was a nice bowl of ramen noodles. They had a specialty bowl of pulled pork ramen with an egg. It was delicious! I also had a roll of spicy tuna sushi and it tasted delicious as well. I've heard great things about this place and it didn't disappoint. They have a menu based on asian fusion and I definitely want to come back and try the Filipino dishes. Nice ambiance, decor and atmosphere! I definitely recommend it!
